Other staff took over, explained the differences in products per my questions, and at one time radioed to another for an answer. Plenty of products on the shelves instead of directing me to a web site; clean fitting rooms; and I really like the rack outside the fitting rooms for un-purchased items. It helps eliminate any fitting room clutter. Two attendants at the registers w little to no wait. The key for me is acknowledgement as I walk in, while shopping and at the checkout; eye contact and sincere effort to find product, even an alternate product. Great selection of Kuhl products! The North Face representative made it sound like they were doing me a favor. Next, I went on-line filled out the information and provided pictures of the broken zipper. After that, I received an e-mail from Jacob K. with the North Face Online Customer Care Team, asking follow-up questions and wanting more pictures. I promptly responded with answers to Jacob K's questions and provided the requested pictures, but since than there has been no response from Jacob K. or North Face. After several follow-up attempts, still no response. Apparently, North Face no longer cares about Customer Service. After decades of being a loyal North Face Customer, I intend to look someplace else for my outdoor equipment needs.

This place is huge and they have a massive inventory of all things sports related. It's nice that you can still walk into a place and touch and feel the merchandise you might be interested in. On this visit, it was to look for a youth softball mitt that I will be gifting to one of the grand-darlings. The last time I was in a DICK's, it was to buy a White Sox cap and it was a couple years back when they were doing a wee bit better than they are this year! The pricing here does generally seem a bit elevated but that comes with the brick-and mortar business and the privilege of inspecting what you're buying. Who remembers Sportsmart, or Sports Authority, or further back Herman's? They're all gone now, and I think DICK's is it these days for sporting goods. I'm glad they are still at it for us.

Sometimes you can find a good deal in store and lately there have been better deals on shoes (Hokas, Nikes) then I've seen in other stores. I wanted to give a special shout out to the 'heavy lifting' crew that helped me with moving a ping pong table. They attempted to place it in my van every which way in the freezing cold, which was unfortunately too small. I came back the following day and a couple of the guys did remember me quickly brought out the table, and they were very friendly and extremely helpful.

This is one of the smaller Dick's (pun not intended duh) as it is atypically housed in a 1 story…read morestrip mall building.  The store is still deceptively huge and I learned it's still sizable at about 60,000 ft2 (a dimension which I can't really relate to anyway).  They still seemed to have everything you might expect though the wife thought maybe their clothing inventory wasn't as extensive as at a bigger store.  The staffers were helpful.  This store is out of the way for us but we came up here as one of the kiddos is a participant in the Northbrook Girls Softball Association and they offered a limited time 20% off promotion applicable only to this store. They had a good supply of youth size cleats, one of the items on our shopping list, and the girls also took the opportunity to do a mini shopping spree on some of their clothing and swim wear.  Thumbs up on the store and thank you!

They fit great in the store, but after walking in them all day, they hurt my feet and I had to bring them back. When I went into the store to return them or to exchange them, they could not have been nicer. It was a newer shoe that they just started carrying and they wanted to know my opinion of them i told him it was a great shoe. It just did not fit me well for a long day on my feet. They called someone in the shoe department to help me. He found a fabulous pair of Brooks that fit me perfectly. I have not been wearing them all day and my feet feel so much better. I was a little concerned about exchanging the pair my mom had bought me because I did not have her credit card with me, but there was absolutely no problem. The shoes I bought were $16 cheaper than what my mom had spent, and it automatically got credited back to her credit card. Best experience I've had buying shoes in a long, long time. Highly recommend this Dicks!!

I have found no deals on any golf clubs here in the last 6 yrs. If I find a club I need to fill a broken set, it is always priced too high (they are higher than any other Play It Again Sports (PIAS) by 20-500% for exact match club brands) and they are unwilling to negotiate a lower price except by less than 5%. By comparison to other Play It Again Sports - Shaumburg, Crystal, I was able to purchase the 2 needed clubs at 25% and 16% of the "negotiated" price of an identical club at the Waukegan Ave PIAS store. I do not recommend this store for any golf items. I will never again go to this store for any reason. It is not worth the trip (25 mi.) to waste my time. DB

It's a beautiful warm and humid day in Chicago and the walk was good. The place is very quaint and small but well lit for shopping. It's a woman's boutique specializing in European clothing. The major designer is Solar and I have not heard of it, but designs are suited for a dressier woman. Thankfully that counts me in as I work in an office where jeans are not allowed and it's conservative so the weekends I can go casual. Back to the store the sizes are European and the lady at the counter (I am assuming is the owner) was very kind to tell me that 34 is usually x-small, 36 is small and 38 is medium. I'm usually a medium but some of her clothing allow for a 34 when I tried on a pair of white slacks. It had a great fit, but buying white is difficult because the material may be more revealing than you might like. Her clothes has many price points as she indicated and sales from the previous season is 20% off. Her summer selection drove me to walk in full of blight yellows, pink, and orange. Do stop in if you're in the neighborhood and support local small businesses!
