I was at this location on the afternoon of Sunday May 25th with my wife, and made the mistake of inquiring about large sizes and (since I only know my U.S. measurement) I asked a staff member to help. How entertaining I was to her! "I've never seen this before!" "We need a bigger (measuring device)" All accompanied with chortles and hearty laughter. They have free parking around the area so it's easy to find and park my car. When I enter I'm amazed at how their interior design was. It was pretty cool. Aside from that they have a well organized wall for their products. They have a lot of color and design. As I looked at their products it was good. They use high quality materials. The only problem here is that it was pricey. But I can say that it is worth the price. It was comfortable to wear. It was perfectly fit to your foot. Aside from having good products and places they have great service. They will assist me and help me. So good job to their service. I will recommend this place for you. read more

I had searched all over the internet looking for a pair of Birkenstock Uppsala in Graphite color. Every website I searched were out of my size. I finally found Complete Birkenstock's site and noticed that they had my size in stock. I was somewhat leary of ordering from a site that I had never heard of. Since I have been searching for these boots for almost a year, I took a chance and ordered from the Complete Birkenstock website. Within 2 days I received a notification from UPS that my order would be delivered the following day. My order was placed on a Friday night and I received my boots on Tuesday! My boots were securely packed. I also received instructions on how to care for the boots, a return/exchange card, a receipt and a candy cane! What a great experience with this company! The sales person that helped me on my last visit was super helpful considering I couldn't figure out which style I wanted....lol ....They're doing a wonderful job to manage the customers want. Plantar Fasciitis be gone! Boom Boom Pow!! I was in desperate need of getting rid of my plantar fasciitis that had been ongoing for approximately 10 months. Working in the medical field and standing on my feet all day wasn't aiding me in the healing process, so I decided to try Birkenstock's. Heard good things from my sister that had the same foot issue. Let me start off by saying that I loved this store! Ranee provided great customer service and helped me choose the right style. I was so happy because I also ended up finding insoles for my Alegria nursing shoes that I couldn't wear anymore. They kept pinching my toes and the arch support wasn't sufficient, causing me to limp a few hours into my shift. I ended up buying the Giesswein inserts ($30) and they fit perfectly (sized up) and I am now pain free! Although, I was not as fond of the bulky looking 2 strap arizona style they were the only ones that were wide enough for my feet. I actually don't mind them now bc I use them as house shoes with socks. All that matters is that I am pain free and they seem to be good quality so I'll be able to wear both pairs for years, so I'm a happy camper. I highly recommend that anyone with the same issues go to the store directly to try on the shoes prior to purchase. read more

The staff is really helpful here. I have bought my Birkenstocks here for five years. They encourage you to try on as many pairs as you need, and explain everything, from how the shoes fit, to which type is best for your feet. I have had great luck here! There is a huge variety, too, and staff doesn't care how many you try on. I always try on at least 7 or 8 pairs before I decide. Parking is great, right in front of the store. read more

OK - if you stop in this joint, it's because you are here for a reason. I invested in my work shoes almost two years ago to combat some plantar - the plantar is long gone, but my shoes are still kicking which is what the whole point is. I am actually ready for some new inserts which is why I stopped in. Was able to order, no fuss, no muss, the store staff was totally helpful (and cute). They do not stock the inserts, so they will order and ship to my house at no cost. My laces were also shot, so she replaced them for me at no charge (love you birkenstock girlie). *interesting note - birk apparently stocks laces on new purchases, but does not provide the same for purchase afterwards, i found that odd* Anyway, same exact model of shoe is now on the 50% off wall, half the price of what I paid for them almost two years ago, so if you are into bargains, now would be the time to buy pair number 2. I refrained mostly because I need to invest in my summer sandals still Thx Birk for taking care of my feet. *interesting note for this location - a road runners sports just opened up a few stores down which is good to know for the runners ;-) read more

I ordered my dauGhter Birkenstock's from Birkenstock for Christmas. She needs a smaller size. I took them to "Complete Birkenstock" and was told they wouldn't help. I can only send them back and exchange them because they aren't a Birkenstock store. Good customer service would be to exchange the shooe. It is in the same box and all. I was also there to buy a pair for myself and my moM was going there as well. So much for Bireknstock. I'll find an equally good show with easier, better customer service read more

I am a longtime foot pain sufferer and was advised by my dr. to try a pair of Birkenstocks. I made the 1 hr. trip from my home to here because Complete Birkenstock carries Birk's full line. I tried several pairs of shoes over a few months and unfortunately none of them worked out. The staff did everything they could to work with me and win me over as a customer. Employees are patient, caring, and knowledgeable. Their return policies are reasonable. I received outstanding service each time I visited. This store was worth every minute of my 45 minute drive! They have a wide selection of Birkenstocks (far larger than I've found in the area - trust me I've looked around!) Their staff was very knowledgeable and accommodating. I must have tried on 7-10 different pairs of shoes (I'm very picky) and made my purchase the same day. I exchanged the shoes for a different style two days later as the originals just weren't fitting correctly. They did not have the new shoes in the color I wanted, but offered to order them and ship them to my house free of charge. That is great service! The staff here is amazing and super helpful. I got the Mayari's first and purchased the London's yesterday. I'm in the medical field (with little time) and needed a slip resistant pair of shoes that I can easily run in at a moments notice. The gentleman that helped me yesterday blew me away with his knowledge and help. I originally was going to put the shoes on hold while I look for a shoe repair shop and the gentleman recommended a cobbler and what I originally thought was going to be a tedious process became efficient and effortless. Took the new pair (London's) I got to that cobbler today and am getting them re-bottomed for a more slip resistant shoe and will be getting them back Tuesday!! Whether you are a birkenstocks lover or not, this store has top notch service, no matter who is working there I have been treated with patience and they have gone above and beyond the call of duty to make sure I, as a customer, was served to the best of their ability. One time I bought a pair of sandals, and after running through the airport the first time wearing them, I had some issues with the sandals cutting into my foot (just not a good fit for me). Even though they were warn once, and no longer brand new, they still accepted the return and allowed me to exchange for a better fit (and the pair I exchanged for was less money so they gave me a gift certificate to use for future purchases). They did not have to take the shoe back at all, since they would not be able to send it back to the manufacturer. Not too many companies would do that. Today my daughter and I went to the store to exchange a pair of sandals she received for the holidays. We didn't have the receipt or any proof of purchase. They took them back, and allowed us to exchange with no problems. Helped to find a great fit for my daughter. I have a pair of Birkenstocks sandals that I do love, but Im not a Birkenstocks fanatic, however, the level of fine service at this store makes me want to give them more of my business. If you are in the market for a pair of Birkenstocks. I would highly recommend shopping at the Wilmette location. I have owned the same pair of birks for about ten years, and they are still going strong. I stopped by to get my wife a pair after going through about four cheaper sandal options she chose. First, the product is amazing! Like I said, mine have lasted forever and are still super comfortable. Specifically with this location, I was super impressed. Since we were there, I was contemplating buying another pair since mine have gotten a little dirty on the inside from 10+ years of use. The sales person, rather than pushing me into another pair, recommended a cleaning process or taking some sand paper and scraping it down. She said that would make them good as new. I'm super impressed that a sales person would actually care enough to help me keep my pair rather than just push a new pair or some random cleaning product they sold. Just shows how genuine the people who work here are. We ended up buying my wife's pair, which she loves and are holding up great!
