Cheapest gas around. May or my not be top tier fuel... I'm not even sure what that means. The cheapest place in town... I'm not sure why but you could drive around for miles and not find a place cheaper - I mean lower price. Cheap really refers to quality and since I'm not a scientist who is an expert in fuel I'm not sure I'm qualified to criticize what is served here. I rarely get it because the good people at VW told me to go to Chevron. The area is sort of in a rough area. Lots of apartment complexes - I really wouldn't to live on this block. I once walked down the street here and one building was covered with video cameras and said "smile your on camera." I didn't like it and didn't feel like smiling. When you come here you will fumble with your payment at the pump and good luck getting a receipt printed. Next door is one of the other lowest prices for fuel. Be aware upon using your cards here. There are scammers that take your information. Pump my gas on Saturday. Got a notification from my bank a day after for suspicious activity. The last time I use my card was at this gas station. Always check the card insert at pump or the tap to pay before paying. BE AWARE!!! read more

Castro Valley jiffy lube is a joke I've had many oil changes and transmission fluid and every time they have made big mistakes... For example one time they left the bolts off of the engine cover underneath on a 2017 Honda Civic and it came off on the freeway and was dragging on every bump for 20 miles.... don't let them check your tire pressure.... Not sure If it's equipment or staff but my check tire pressure light came on I had to reinflate tires and reset my car's system..... EVERY time they cost me BS I'm done with this place..... Under New Management they stained my back seat with oil while vacuuming my car... I'm inquiring a Attorney right now..... I'm a very busy person I have no time for this the stress the time..... The fuel prices may be low, the service may be good when you walk in however the outside ALWAYS looks like a trash dump. AND the manager does not care. They have not routine to keep their property clean and as a result litter blows all over the neighborhood! read more

Great place to get cheap gas, but always packed. Great customer service here! Some sketchy stuff/weird people are always at this location but if you get in n out, you're golden. Absolute worst . Rude and disrespectful employees and manager Alex A is even worse. Gave wrong pump number and got overcharged 50$ . It's been 3 days and still no refund. Lied to my face . I live out of town so the gave me his number to call the next day. When I called because still no credit he said he can't talk to me over the phone that I need to come in? WTF? He knew I lived out of town. Scam artist that are ripping off people!! Now what? Desk with corporate? Definitely both employees should be checked out. This arco gets pretty crowded which is not a surprise since the prices are so cheap. That being said, it's still an arco so it's not the nicest place. Im giving them 4 stars bc the guy working the register is always super friendly and happy. It's refreshing to encounter a person like that. I wish I could remember his name. this Arco AmPm occupies a jagged protruding piece of real estate. cheapest gas in area. also top tier gas. mart small, cramped. got asked for an i.d. while buying beer. thought he was kidding. offering: usual for an AMPM. brew: sierra nevada tropical torpedo ipa, 16 oz. 6.7% -no tropical taste, just boozy ipa. take outs: -few parking spaces -no panhandlers in afternoon. read more

Not a good crowd out front. Also, employees once scammed my dad's debit card. That was years ago, but negligence and fraud like that indicates something gone wrong. It's also pretty inconvenient that you're charged for using card. I'd rather visit one of the other two gas stations that are conveniently across the street. read more

When looking for gas on the road, I look for two key features. Easy on and off the freeway and inexpensive. Check and check! This Castro Valley AMPM is right off the 580 and the cheapest gas in the area. To get back on, simply go back the same direction and you're off. Only debit cards at the pumps, 35 cent charge for using them. Go in to the cashier if you want to pay any other way. The gas nozzles don't have protective cuffs so inhaling gasoline fumes full force is part of the charm here. This is Castro Valley? It felt like the South Bronx. read more

Cheap gas but poor customer service. We filled our gas tank and it was a very large tank so we spent more than one hundred dollars. But when my husband asked to use the restroom, he was told to use the McDonalds next door. If they don't have any working restrooms at this station, then the people who work here must be filthy and I wouldn't buy any food here. If they are working, then the staff is lying. Being told to use the restroom next door is incredibly disrespectful of both the customers and the neighboring businesses. read more

Went into this gas station a few minutes ago while doing my lyft hours, seems they are getting some pump upgrades so I went inside to pay just to be sure I could use my card, the cashier I got was a young woman with green hair, she seemed very personable after walking up to her (she had REsting witch face before) It became apparent after speaking to her for a moment or two that she seems a bit mentally challenged by the way she spoke and seemed to understand things. She was great at her job and seemed to be trying her hardest to be nice and make me smile (which I did). Sweet cashier, great station that hires good people who always seem to be in a good mood and always has the cheapest gas. I don't mind the 35c debit fee because when I think about it..using my travel rewards card at Chevron, I am spending about 40c more on every single gallon that I pump. Terrible! Pump says it pumped me $17 worth of gas but didn't give me a single drop! Told the attendant and they told me there basically wasn't anything they could do so I asked them to pull the receipt and called when I could speak to a manager/owner. The owner said the pumps are checked weekly so you probably just didn't start the pump. He told me I should call corporate- when I told him I absolutely would do so he said well good luck! read more

GREAT CUSTOMER SERVICE! Stopped here for coffee and a pee break on the route between NorCal and SoCal. Gas seemed cheap for the area and this is an easy stop off the 580. Store is small but well stocked with a bathroom through the employee area (just ask). On our way to NorCal last week we had a terrible experience with the Santa Nella arco ampm involving using our coffee punch card. However at this location we were met with excellent customer service and ended up buying more than we originally planned. During this boring road trip it's really freaking nice to be met with kindness and a smile when stopping to refuel. read more

True Story...The owner saw me drop my keys as I jogged by jumped in his truck and followed me to return my keys. I was so lucky I would have been in bad shape. I come here because it's close to my house. Everything usually goes okay - the gas is the cheapest in town, usually. The mini-mart has been remodeled. My only real complaints are: 1) the lot is very small, so it can be a tight squeeze when it's busy, 2) the idiots that watch the pump and not where they are driving - my car has been hit twice in the last year WHILE I've been pumping gas, 3) the hose connectors are either worn out or not fitting properly - they shut off several times while I'm pumping (and DO NOT say I don't know how to pump gas because I've been doing it for almost 35 years), 4) payment kiosks are "down" quite often, 5) about 1/3 of the time a receipt won't print. Can have these problems at other Arco stations too, especially in Oakland - I've NEVER had a receipt print there. read more

This is close to home but usually out of my way. I go because the gas is cheap and staff always treat me well. I can be a challenge, terrible at math and usually oushing my limited budget to buy smokes, mt.dew and gas so I dont mind taking the time to drive here knowing I will be treated "normal" the inly reason I give 4 instead of 5 stars is that the convenient store is sparse and over priced. Although lived the day the Camel guy was there. Felt like I won the lotto. Extra points to staff for making the remodel go almost unnocticed. I always use cas and go on non peak hours so their parking/traffic space seems ample to me and if the pay kiosks are down I've never noticed it with extra lines inside read more
