Pablo was extremely professional & helpful on the phone, and again in person. With only 1 1/2 hours til closing, he managed to cut me 50 car keys!!!! Honestly I thought he was the manager or owner with his helpfulness & sincerity! Thanks again Pablo!!!! read more

Great service, Great service, quick assistance, and variety of keys. Initially went into Home Depot to get the bed of truck key copied, but they told me they didn't have the key to do it. womp. womp. What else? Yelp to the rescue! Danny assisted me and was of great help. Turns out he did have the key and to verify even walked across the street where I was parked and tested it out himself. Even told me to be careful of parking in front of the school street parking because of the security always giving people tickets there! The copy of my key w/ tax included $4.36. Paid in cash because I wasn't sure if they accepted credit cards. Will definitely come by again for any of my key copying needs! Thanks Danny! read more

Best prices and amazing customer service!! I was a bit hesitant to go there initially because they have so few reviews, but they sounded very nice on the phone and I decided to check them out. I was surprised to find that they are quite a decent sized business. Also they did my work real quick and charge me just $4 whereas the sleazebag crook at Los Feliz Lock & Key Service was trying to extort $20 out of me. Most importantly the guys there are very respectful of the customer. Highly recommend it!!! Btw. the work I did from them was getting a duplicate Master Key made of the Master Key of my Toyota Rav4. read more

Stopped by to have two copies made of my 2001 Prius Master Key. I ordered micochiped replacement keys online and brought them here to be cut. Service was excellant. They copied them and the cost was only $4 for the cut and labor. If you don't want to order online, they have replacement valet keys available there (although I'm not sure the cost). The dealership can charge you upwards of $200 for a replacement key, so do yourself a favor and stop by here first! I will come back for all my locksmithing needs! read more

The whole experience was awesome from beginning to end. I had called after reading the yelp reviews and spoke with the owner, Matt. He's been in business for over 30 years and was very warm and kind on the phone. We had just picked up the keys to our very first home earlier in the afternoon and wanted to change the locks. Steve was sent out to meet us at the house the very next day and was an absolute pleasure to work with. Informative, careful, genuinely warm and caring about our new purchase (even though its quite obviously a fixer). He asked us the right questions and gave us good guidance and honest feedback about whether or not to activate the manual key on the spanky new combo locks we chose. He worked far longer than we expected him to, but completed the job for just a little over his original estimate, and that was to take into account the additional work he did on our jambs to make the locks fit better and work smoothly. A top notch business with fantastic "lock-side manner". I highly, highly recommend them! read more

Needed new locks on a multiple mailbox. Talked to 2 other places, all quoted me double and more than double than the quote I got from Dwayne at Archer's Lock. He was a bit late, but when he came he was fast and did a great job! read more

Just closed escrow on a property and saw the 5 star rating on yelp regarding Archers. So accurate. Dillion is the owner (i believe) he went above and beyond trying to figure out a keyless padlock option for a custom door on the property. Calling al the maunufactors for me and taking a good portion of his time. Keith came to do all our locks who also spend extra time trying to deal with this one custom door. Don't hesitate. They are prompted fair priced...Super reliable business read more

These came out to change the locks in my new house and did an amazing job! They were in time and polite! Definitely recommend!

I called Archer's at about 1:300 to get my back door re-keyed to match my front door. It wasn't an emergency and I was expecting to have to wait a day or two. They said they could be there by 3:00 and they arrived perfectly on time. The locksmith who came out was Dylan and he was friendly, knowledgeable and quick. I gotta say, it was a pretty near perfect transaction. I'd definitely refer them to a friend. read more

I had a great experience at their previous location in getting some keys made and was hoping to use them again. Unfortunately, they are now located in an office park and were closed on a Monday afternoon. The business seems to focused now on call-in services rather than walk-in customers. I guess with Home Depot and key duplication machines like KeyMe, the need for these kinds of places is dwindling. It's a bit sad really. :( read more

Outstanding service; called last minute for door emergency - these guys came out within 35 minutes after 5 pm on a busy workday!! Got the job done in 20 minutes ... then as a bonus made sure all other locks and such were functioning. Our serviceman was polite, respectful and knowledgable... and went the extra mile to save my antique vintage door. Beyond fair on pricing ESP considering the immediate response! Licensed company too- definitely my only locksmith from now on. read more

I had them come over to our office location not once, not twice, but three separate times. We eventually fixed the problem, but I appreciate how patient they were throughout everything. Dylan was the technician and handled everything great. Luckily we're both Bronco's fans so we got along great. To keep it short and sweet; everyone here is great to work with, excellent service, perfect pricing, and pretty prompt. I'll use them again most definitely. read more

And yes, I did tell him the scope of work. His price was 65.00 to arrive and he was 20.00 for each cylinder to re-key and I didn't ask how many keys he gives or how much they are. The locksmith I ended up using was 30.00 to arrive and 15.00 per cylinder. He was quick and friendly and gave me 4 keys per unit...there were 2 units re-keyed. read more

Having spent over $200 within last six months to fix the sticky keys and replaced with one using Archer's Service. Last Sunday, I was not able to pull off the key, so I called Archer's Lock and left two messages. Nobody had the courtesy to return my call! So i called again on Monday afternoon approx 1PM.(7/21) and a gentleman ( Dylan" took my call, i explained my situation to him and he told me that they were busy and can only sent someone out on Thursday.(four days from my service call) So i made a appointment on Thursday, since I was able to pull off the key later and used a side door entrance. Later on Monday, i called Garo's Locksmith, they were very quick to respond to my service call and sent someone here and get fixed. The rate by Garo's Locksmith is much more reasonable. I called Archer lock again to cancel the Thursday appointment, a lady picked up a call. She does not bother to look at their record, and I guess they do not have one for this. It is shame and disgrace for them to treat their repeat customer so unprofessionally and I will NEVER EVER use their service again. read more

Fast service, nice people, reasonable price. Called at 2pm, guy arrived at 4:30pm same day in an Archer's van and uniform. Took him about 15 minutes total to rekey two locks and cut two new keys for me. $105 bucks out the door. read more

I needed a back up keep for my Suzuki motorcycle and had trouble finding the right key blank and someone to cut the key. I went to Archer's because they have worked for my business for decades. The friendly locksmith found the right blank, cut the key, and called me to make sure it was working. I returned and bought two keys and will buy any other keys, locks, or security hardware from Archers. Key kiosks are no replacement for true craftsmanship. read more

Had key made at Home Depot. Simple house key. Guess what? Didnt work. Went to Archer and had them copy key. Works perfect. Gentleman explained why they are always cutting keys for big chain store mistakes. No one takes the time to recalibrate key cutting machines. I will never use big chain store again. Not worth the aggravation. Will use Archer again. Highly professional and knowledgeable. Thanks Sean! Semper Fi! read more

My wife and I own a 1925 California Craftsman home in Glendale, and all the interior doors have the originals mortise lock hardware. I recently did some renovation and had to purchase a new door for a closet, but I wanted to use our salvaged mortise lock and knobs. Finding a craftsman to carve out the door and install the lock turned out to be a bit of a challenge. After consulting with a number of locksmiths in surrounding areas, and even checking with some salvage yards for referrals, I came up with a big zero for my effort over a 3-4 month time line. No one, it seemed, either had the skill, or the inclination to come out and do my job. Until I came across Archer's Lock on this Internet site. After reading some of the reviews on this website, I called Archer's and spoke to Steve. He cheerfully informed me that they could do the job, and have someone out to my home in just a couple of days. On the appointed day, the lock installer, Nat, came over, sized up the job, and proceeded to install a work of artistry. No gouges, gaps, or split wood. Nat had been installing mortise locks for over 30 years, and was proud of his craftsmanship. He did an outstanding job, was extremely pleasant the entire time, and professionally cleaned up after himself when the install was finished. On his way out my front door, he showed me how to stop my door from rubbing on the lower sill by changing some screws, all part of his service. If you need professional work done for locks, I can vouch for Archer's. These guys are the real deal. Paul K. read more

It's refreshing to come upon a business that is as cordial and competent as Archers Lock & Security is. Wonderful!! Dillon at Archer did a fantastic job of replacing and re-keying the deadbolt on the front gate. It was not a straight forward job, however, Dillon problem solved and had all the tools and supplies in his van to handle the job quickly and professionally. The final product was lovely as well as functional. Thank you! read more

Save your gas and time: go here first. After trying -- for over ONE YEAR -- every key duplication place in town to get a dupe of a cabinet key for an ANCIENT file cabinet (I'm a teacher, LAUSD, get my drift...), I was summarily dismissed. "Can't do it," or, "Can do it, but need to order a 'lot' of these keys which costs more than $50," or, "Can do it, but don't have the key and don't know where to get it." TBH, I think most of the places just blew me off because it was too much time-drain for a $4 customer. I even tried a place that does keys online -- they're situated in Kentucky. I sent them a CU photo .jpg of the key. The initial e-mail correspondences were highly solicitous, but upon receiving my photo, they didn't even bother to respond. THAT impossible!! Then found Archer's on Yelp. They spent nearly 30 minutes consulting each other and going through their compendium of key books. They settled on a "trial" key, adapted from a base key that apparently is a close match. We did just one to see if it would work. And it DID, like a charm! I returned and got four more at a little over $4 each. The place is immaculate, well-stocked, and run by kind, helpful, really knowledgeable people. This will be my locksmith forever! Look, if they put this much commitment and expertise into a dinky job like this (but which was critical to me!), can you imagine how wonderful they are at the big, complicated jobs such as detailed by the other Yelpers here? read more

Went to 4 locksmiths to have a truck toolbox key made with no luck. Went to Archers and he did not have the key blank, but he said he would order them. A couple of days later I had my keys.
