I been going here for 12 years now, at least 2 or 3 dozen times. But this last trip, I was pleasantly surprised. I been restoring a 1984 Porsche 911. These ignition keys are notoriously expensive and you have to bring the title of your car to the Porsche dealer to buy an overpriced blank, THEN pay to have it cut. Broadway Lock had it in stock, had me out of there for $30 total! The newly cut key was done on a computer to OEM specs that they have. When it was done, he handed me a spec sheet of the code for my files. My stock ignition barrel is happier now, since the new key is made for it to factory spec and it turns much easier. Also note: Broadway Locksmith cuts keys for other local dealerships in the area, like Toyota and Porsche. Save yourself some time and money and go to the source, fellow gearheads. read more

Broadway Locksmith Shop - (key has obviously been blurred to protect the innocent) - Keys & Locksmiths Near Me - Signal Hill, California

Very knowledgeable and got the job done. Great to see a local family-owned business still going strong. Definitely recommend.

Went in near closing time for cylinder re-keying. They are knowledgeable, fast and very reasonably priced - Highly recommend

Always changes my key fob battery without trying to upsell me like other locksmith. Reasonable price and quick service and responsive.

They were able to reprogram my key fob and the spare in just a few minutes. Originally went to the dealer who quoted me close to 1k just to see what the issue was. read more

I just paid to have them install the two knobs on my double front doors. When all was said and done (two visits) it came to $419.05!!! This is a ridiculous price. This doesn't even include the parts that I bought from them before I had them install the knobs. They did do a good job, but I would have chosen a different locksmith if I had known they would overcharge me like this. If money isn't a concern then this is a good place for you, but if you watch your budget at all find a different locksmith. read more

Got an urgent appointment to make 10 copies and needed 4 copies by the end of the workday. Instead, they made me my 4 copies right away in 5 minutes. Very nice business. read more

Only costs 2.13$ and less than a minute to get it a key copied! Great service. Not hard to find

The person who helped me was very very nice, and they did a good job, but I was charged twice as much as what I was quoted over the phone, and from the time I arrived in person till the time they checked me out price was never discussed. I did not realize that they were going to be charging me so much more than what I was told the charge would be, and I honestly couldn't really afford the amount they charged, but they had already done the work. I felt nauseous when I left, and I'm still kind of in shock. read more

Car remote battery replacement. After going to another store near by and spending twice as much I ended up at this locksmith store. The quality of the battery is way better. Service was awesome. Very knowledgeable and honest didn't take advantage of me. You can tell they are there for the customer and not the money. Thank you will be going back soon. read more

stopped by with a jammed front door cylinder and within minutes, it was realigned and repaired. Bad pins replaced. Locks are tricky but they are lovely and very fair with pricing! WE highly recommend you trust Broadway Locksmith! and use combination padlocks too. read more

Broadway Locksmith Shop - working cylinder finally - Keys & Locksmiths Near Me - Signal Hill, California

My "go to" locksmith for keys, re-keying and everything lock and key related. Quick service at a more than fair price.

Outstanding service for many years! This is a complete locksmith that has helped me with both my commercial and residential jobs.

Not even worth one star the guy a real POS can't even open on time then if you need something is not willing to help. I can't understand why they are in business with poor service and a bad attitude to there customers. Stay away if you need good service this place is not the place. read more

They are amazing! Best locksmith in the region. They are super incredible at problem-solving and delivering quality services.

Mediocre customer service. Got the job done. My car now drives. Hooray. Customer service is fair to middlin' - Matt doesn't appear to enjoy his job, and that's my interpretation. I could be WRONG. Short and to the point. Hey is it ok if I ask one more question or will you be bothered by that? $150 to install a part for my car. Sheesh. All because it was in a gated community in SH. Sigh. For $150 can you at least smile? Look like you like to help me and that it's a pleasure to serve me? They opened LATE. The hours are 12-5, and they opened late. False advertising- honestly. Enjoy the $150 donation I sent you, responsibility led me here haha!! read more

Awful experience lasting over a month, and I ended up in worse shape than when I came in. I will never return to Broadway. They'd been recommended by a car dealer to repair or replace a somewhat rare electronic car key I have. I went, and Matt cracked open my key and said he could refurbish it. Long story short, I never got any updates, so I called after 2 weeks, then 3, then 4. The woman I spoke with never really knew what was going on, and told me that he had given up because he couldn't get some part. When I came by to pick up my key, Matthew told me that he didn't need any parts--he just didn't have time to work on it. After a month??? He then told me that it was an easy job, that I could solder in new buttons myself, but (I wish I were making this up) that he didn't really give a fxxk whether I fixed it or not, because my car is a gas guzzler and is destroying the environment and shouldn't be on the road anyway. The woman told Matthew to calm down and go to the back, which he did, continuing to mutter, as she said something to me about his coming off of a "psychotic episode." I can understand if people have problems, and if she has to keep him in the back sometimes, but if she's going to cover for him, she'd better know what's going on with the jobs, keep him on task, and keep their customers informed. And after all this, when I picked up my key, it was still in pieces for me to put back together myself. A guy in line in front of me needed a simple key duplicated. She copied it for him and he seemed satisfied. I'm glad they can do a simple job right, but I'll still never go back. read more

My reviews based solely on just a phone call to inquire about getting work done. The Lady answering the phone came off rude and unwilling to help even scheduling service. For this reason alone I decided to take business somewhere else. When someone leaves a lasting impression like this on your first call before you even do business with them you just know it's going to go south. FYI hopefully this behavior does not hurt your business read more

Wow! Right on time...that's good for four stars already! Tom was polite, efficient and through. He fixed the problem I called about and then made sure everything else was operating properly. My deadbolt had not worked for several years and now slides into place with ease. I recommend Broadway Locksmith! read more

Basically my Ford fusion key broke and the dealer I was trying to charge me 700 to get new keys programmed to my car (and you have to buy 2). Not only did they fix it within an hour it was 1/10 of the price. They were very helpful, fast and saved me so much money. They are good people. Thank you read more

They've got everything you need here. I needed to get my car ignition key cut and they cut both keys for $6. I did have my original key and had ordered replacement keys on Amazon for $30, so that simplified it. But still. SIX BUCKS! read more

I came into Broadway Locksmith and spoke with two individuals in regards to installing a new keyless entry system with a keypad and striker. They stated that they would have someone call me to arrange a meeting. That was over a week ago and I'm still waiting for a call. I can't rave enough about Lori and Matt. They are so low key yet amazing workers. Our condo building needed an emergency rekey and they made 60 keys and installed 6 new locks in our building in 2 days. Amazing service! The transition was seamless. They are the sweetest miracle workers ever. You can't go wrong when calling upon them for their services. read more

Raul just left. He replaced the spindle in my courtyard Baldwin door lock, moved the striking plate so the door doesn't rattle when closed, fixed another door lock so that it doesn't spin when you put your key in halfway and turn it, and made us two keys. Probably about two and a half hours of work total. He did a great job, and charged me a fraction of what I thought it would be. Highly, highly recommend! Raul is the man. read more

5 Star Service hands down ! We had a broke entrance lock and so I called Broadway Locksmith. It was a lock that was 30 years old and I didn't have much hope that it could be repair ed . Raul was able to find a functioning used part on his truck and installed it temporarily while he ordered the new part which will be in next week.He didn't charge me for the used part just the service call. WOW I was so impressed with that and the fact my appointment time was for 9 a.m and Raul arrived at 8:45 ! Thank you again Broadway Locksmith and Raul. read more

On the recommendation of my local auto repair shop, I dropped in to this locksmith yesterday soon after they opened. The wait was short. I needed a new transponder key for my Toyota; they did a great job. They thoroughly demonstrated the new key for me ... I was in & out in less than 1/2 hour. I had called around to learn the price of a new master key - they charged me the lowest of any quote I had gotten. Very pleased with this shop read more

Matt is awesome! I had gone to another high rated locksmith that told me I had the wrong fobs for my Saturn but Matt was able to program them with no issues and at a great price. He is very knowledgeable and has great customer service! VERY happy customer! Thank you Matt!! read more

Broke my key off in the saddle bag of my motorcycle. I rode up to their shop, they got the broken part of the key out and made me a new key from the only (broken) key I had. Out in the parking lot after that I couldn't figure out what was going on with my lock and an employee came out and helped me even though it was totally my mistake for putting the parts on wrong. Awesome customer service, super fast and all that only costs $18. I will be back! read more

Great customer service was welcomed walking in. Had 2 keys done quickly. Would definitely come back.

Just drove here. Host say open but doors locked and no one is here. How inconvenient. I hear good things about these guys but can't get them on the phone, doors are locked and no one is there during posted business hours. Hope these guys are still in business read more

They maybe a good company from a residential standpoint; but commercially, they are not great at all. I have an complex that I manage in which they takes weeks to address issues. They have no sense of scheduling and they are the primary vendor for this apartment complex. We are forced to move away from their keys so that we do not have to use them again. read more

They quickly copied a pair of microchipped car keys for me. Pricing was lower than other shops I checked.

NEVER AGAIN. A locksmith from this company came into my house this weekend (I believe he may have been the owner as well) and told me I was condemned because of the political lawn signs I had on my lawn (something that is within every citizen's right as opposed to say, coming into their house and threatening them) and further told me that I was going to have to answer to God one day. Despite a person's beliefs, coming into their home to do work (that one is being paid for) and then becoming hostile and threatening is poor business and inappropriate. This man now has keys to my house and I am not only upset by this, but also afraid for me and my family given his level of hostility which he had NO PROBLEM displaying in my home. Bad business and a bad image for Signal Hill and Long Beach--never again. read more

Amazing place! I came in today to get a Toyota Camry replacement key and they were able to help me in no time. Thank you thank you!

In need of making a spare key copy for my 34 years old Mercedes. I have been calling around and it was all no go. They either charge too much or doesnt carry the key anymore. I connected with this shop thru here. The guy gave me a decent quote over the phone. Forward today, I headed to this shop. The store front is not obvious. The guy who greeted me was speaking in the same non enthusiastic manner as the guy over the phone. But hey, They copied my key fast and accurate with a very decent price. I was in and out of the place in less than 10 mins. hidden gem. read more

I have used Broadway twice now and each time I have been throughly impressed. They don't just cut keys. They craft replicas. They take ownership of the problem and see it through to the solution. They offer a level of knowledge, craftsmanship and service you just don't find very often. All at a remarkable value. I will evangelize to anyone who asks. I will talk about them at dinner parties. I will use no other vendor. Period. read more

Had a custom door lock that was made before I was born that needed servicing. The key's teeth didn't line up well inside and gave me issues opening the door for years.
