I just paid to have them install the two knobs on my double front doors. When all was said and done (two visits) it came to $419.05!!! This is a ridiculous price. This doesn't even include the parts that I bought from them before I had them install the knobs. They did do a good job, but I would have chosen a different locksmith if I had known they would overcharge me like this. Awful experience lasting over a month, and I ended up in worse shape than when I came in. I will never return to Broadway. They'd been recommended by a car dealer to repair or replace a somewhat rare electronic car key I have. I went, and Matt cracked open my key and said he could refurbish it. Long story short, I never got any updates, so I called after 2 weeks, then 3, then 4. The woman I spoke with never really knew what was going on, and told me that he had given up because he couldn't get some part. When I came by to pick up my key, Matthew told me that he didn't need any parts--he just didn't have time to work on it. After a month??? He then told me that it was an easy job, that I could solder in new buttons myself, but (I wish I were making this up) that he didn't really give a fxxk whether I fixed it or not, because my car is a gas guzzler and is destroying the environment and shouldn't be on the road anyway. The woman told Matthew to calm down and go to the back, which he did, continuing to mutter, as she said something to me about his coming off of a "psychotic episode." I can understand if people have problems, and if she has to keep him in the back sometimes, but if she's going to cover for him, she'd better know what's going on with the jobs, keep him on task, and keep their customers informed. And after all this, when I picked up my key, it was still in pieces for me to put back together myself. A guy in line in front of me needed a simple key duplicated. She copied it for him and he seemed satisfied. I'm glad they can do a simple job right, but I'll still never go back. read more

He replaced the spindle in my courtyard Baldwin door lock, moved the striking plate so the door doesn't rattle when closed, fixed another door lock so that it doesn't spin when you put your key in halfway and turn it, and made us two keys. A locksmith from this company came into my house this weekend (I believe he may have been the owner as well) and told me I was condemned because of the political lawn signs I had on my lawn (something that is within every citizen's right as opposed to say, coming into their house and threatening them) and further told me that I was going to have to answer to God one day. Despite a person's beliefs, coming into their home to do work (that one is being paid for) and then becoming hostile and threatening is poor business and inappropriate.
