We liked Off the Rails then and still like it. Most recently, we ordered the BBQ Sampler Platter, which consisted of a 1/2 pound of brisket, 1/2 pound of pulled pork, 1/2 pound of pulled chicken, 1/2 rack of St. Louis ribs, and choice of three sides. I rate the flavors of each of these meats at 5 stars and the flavors of the mac-n-cheese, baked beans, and crispy Brussels sprouts as 4.5 stars each. The pulled pork and pulled chicken came with three bread buns to make sandwiches. I saw three house-made sauces--Carolina Gold, Kansas City, and Lexington-style Mop--and they tasted very good. The ribs were not pull-off-the-bone, but they were probably the first batch of the day. We had arrived 40 minutes after their opening time. An employee had tried to get us to substitute the ribs with another meat, but we instead decided to wait about 20 minutes for the ribs to be done.
