Hell yes. Now I know why they sell frozen bags of Checker's (the other Rally's IP) French fries in the grocery store, because omfg these fries SLAPPED so hard. They aren't wrong for advertising on their sign out front "world famous fries"-- it may be hyperbole but they oughta be world famous! Anyway, we were hungry for lunch and a crispy chicken burger and fries sounded like the hot ticket. My friend ordered through their mobile app so we could just zip through the drive thru and pick it up to take it back to her place. The employee working the drive thru was friendly and efficient. I enjoyed every bite. I also got the funnel Cake fries because really who can resist? I ate them several hours later so I don't think I can fairly review them... they'd gone kind of stale by the time I got to them. Lots of powdered sugar though! I came to Rally's after officiating at a soccer tournament held at Penn Hills High School. Rally's is very close to the High School. My only actual knock was that it took me close to 20 minutes to get my food. Now for the good stuff. Even though it took a while, every worker was friendly and apologetic about the wait. I had the #7. The chicken sandwich was as good as one from a sit down chain. It was a good size and crispy, with lots of pickles, lettuce, and mayo. The fries were really good as well. Beer battered with lots of spice and taste. Overall way better than I anticipated, based on the reviews. read more

Terrible customer service from the manager. Every fast food chain in the area allows you to use the drive thru to quickly pick up app orders. When trying to pick up an order, the male manager could be easily heard angrily and aggressively telling his cashier to force us to come inside to get our order, WHICH WAS ALREADY MADE, rather than hand it through the drive thru. No, we won't, we will just go to McDonalds or Taco Bell or Wendys or KFC, all of whom handle app orders at the drive thru. Get rid of the manager, Rallys. read more

I pulled up to the door and thought I saw something that said it was closed. I pull around to the drive through and heard the voice say "welcome to Rally's". I ordered my food and realized that the inside was open. The inside reminds me of a Wendy's and Dairy Queen but the food is so much better ! The lady at the drive through was very nice and made the experience better. The music was not too loud and was tasteful. I think people should come try Rally's because the food prices are amazing and so much better than Mc Donald's or Wendy's. read more

I wanted to give this place the benefit of the doubt. To my recollection I have never had Rally's in my life, but I have heard of people that have lived in Pittsburgh their entire life talk about a time that Rally's had a presence and they talked positively about the place. I also wanted to give it time for the novelty to wear off a bit, after the hype went away, I decided the time was right to stop by. I also planned it for a time when most of Pittsburgh would be busy, during a Steelers game. On my way to work I decided I would go through the drive thru to pick up some food for my lunch. There was no one in the line for the drive thru, so my time to place the order was almost nonexistent. Rolled up, placed my order and then rolled up to the pick up window. The girl working the drive thru was very pleasant and helpful. When I did get to the pick up window I did have a bit of a wait, I'm going to chalk that up to my food actually being prepared and not sitting under a heat lamp. Get my drink and food and start to make my way to work. As I am driving I keep getting a whiff of something sweet. I found that to be odd, but didn't think anything of it. While sitting in some traffic I decide to give a fry a try. Then I made the connection. These "famous" seasoned fries were what the sweet smell was coming from. I want to say that these fries were probably fried in the same grease as their funnel cake fries. That's what the smell was reminding me of at least and it's not hard to make the connection. The fries also felt like they were left in the grease a little too long. They was super greasy and heavy. The burger was decent, but nothing that differed from any other fast food chain in the area. If anything the burger was also greasy as well. So much so that the napkins in the bag were all grease stained. Did it fill me up? Not really, and that is kind of sad for a large sized meal. Will I come back? Not any time soon, especially since it's kind of out of my way in my travels. read more

This entire burger was a disaster and I'm simply waiting for my body to repossess my colon. Realistically, I would have came to this place with very low expectations, and I would've compared it to its constituents like a McDonald's or Wendy's, but this place missed many marks. First off, although I agree that Penn Hills deserves an opportunity at happiness by having unique chains in this location to help generate outsourced revenue. The borough did a horrible job locating this establishment in the Penn Hills area. Placing it much closer to the Monroeville area; providing a larger populous to access the location conveniently. That being said, it really won't make much of a difference in the future for myself; as I will not be going back. I am from the West Coast and have had this chain on a number of occasions, so it goes without exception that I had very mediocre expectations going into this experience. However, we arrived around 11 o'clock in the morning expecting a fresh hamburger patty, but the burgers tasted like they had been stowed away from the night prior tasting dry and previously frozen and cold. Lacking the appropriate flavor, and the appropriate balance which is constituted for any hamburger at a fast food chain like this it felt like they went out of their way to ensure that this burger tasted the worst that it could. As a result of a mediocre expectation and an even more disappointing finish the chain receives my lowest grade in nearly 5 years-- which is bested out by White Castle in Cleveland where my patties had ice crystalised on the patty itself. The only achievement this cheeseburger receives is the bacon was properly cooked. Overall Rating: 3.9/10 Side Note: the woman who took the order was very nice and she went out of her way to advise me on what cheeseburger to purchase. She did tell me while selling me a cheeseburger that the fries were better if made them at home. She then proceeded to get into a altercation with an employee who was assembling my cheeseburger. It was very clean; and the drinks were properly carbonated. There was some kind of gooey remnants on the katchup packets as well they got on my hands. read more

Ok, 2 stars on the Michelin scale. It is, after all, inexpensive fast food. But 5 stars, solid, for inexpensive fast food! The staff are happy to see you and make you feel welcome. I've never waited more than 5 minutes for my order. These folks hustle. The food is fresh and correct. I especially appreciate the crispy fresh lettuce. And you just can't beat the price. read more

I waited in line for 30 minutes just to get soggy fries and a cold Rally's burger with cheese & bacon. I understand this is a new business so I will be forgiving knowing they must need more organizational skills and proper training. I also noticed that they do not offer their store number on their receipt. Without this information you're unable to complete a formal survey. I tried calling the number for their restaurant listed online but the number isn't valid. Hopefully they will get it together and the establishment will flourish. I just may wait another 6 months to a year before I return. read more

The service was fast, for the long line our food was ready when we got to the window, and I thought something was fishy. The food is clearly premade and just sitting there. Ordered burgers plain and without onions but they were made normally even through the receipt was how they were ordered. Mozzarella sticks were over cooked and broken. Fries were over salted. Worst fast food experience ever. Finally after over a month was able to get In the lot. Food was ice cold ( cheese nor even least bit melted) My soda was literally soda water and the ignorant cashier was so busy with a male coworker and forgot my change. After speaking with a very pleasant manager (besides all the screaming and cussing from employees). She enlightened me to the owner being very upset about the behavior of the employees and the awful service. However when I volunteered for the owner to contact me she informed me they never will. I need to knock a start off because of the app situation. I'm not sure if it's the app or the restaurant, but every time I use my rewards on the app (especially for the free Friday fries), it's always a hassle like I'm the first person on a Friday that uses the app. They need to take your phone and do whatever it is by the register, and usually they ask for your phone number anyway. read more

Because of the many bad ratings, we decided to time the drive-thru line. From the time we got in line till we received our food it took 12 minutes. When we received our food the fries were piping hot. I ordered the rally's cheese burger and chocolate milkshake. The burger was hot and accurate. The milkshake was cold and chocolaty and thick. My husband ordered the big buford double and the blue kool aid slushie. The burger was hot and accurate and the blue slushie was cold and sweet. Overall I don't have anything bad to say. They did their job. They didn't exceed my expectations, but my expectations weren't high because of all the bad reviews. I had high expectations but those expectations were quickly brought down to reality when I received my food. I feel like the cooks need more practice or maybe they were tired because they line and wait was extremely long (20 minute wait in line) and another 10 or so for food. If you compare Checkers food in other areas to Rallys the same restaraunt just different names-well checkers is better by far. Maybe a suggestion could be for the cooks to be trained like the Checkers workers are? Idk the food didnt seem like much effort was put into making it. I had the Champ burger meal, rally burger (checker burger) and $2 chicken box. The order was not completely mine lol! But.... everyone said the food tasted "different" compared to checkers. The nuggets in the $2 box were a different color than what checkers gives you-these were much lighter with what looked like black pepper sprinkled on it. Checkers doesnt do that. Anyways, maybe after a while, they will adapt to the cooking style of this franchise? They're not there yet... I may come back for a milk shake or something. read more
