Ordered 4 double roast beef sandwiches with Arby's sauce and extra Arby's sauce. The request for the Arby's sauce and extra Arby's sauce was printed on the receipt. Since I live in San Jose and Arby's is located in Sunnyvale, I paid extra via Uber Eats for the distance. I received NO Arby's sauce. I received 4 packs of Horsey sauce and a lot of packets of ketchup. I have always loved Arby's sauce, so I am very disappointed by this error. First time trying Arby's and it was decent. Totally empty on a Friday at 9, it was clean and not unsettling to be there but a little old. Service was very quick and polite. My gyro wrap was seasoned a bit weird but veggies were fresh. Also tried the roast beef sandwich and it's very interesting, like tender japanese sukiyaki beef with no bite and a brioche bun. I remember Arby's from years back and don't recall ever having a horrible experience. I read an article that raved about Arby's fish sandwiches and since apparently this is the only Arby's in the immediate Bay Area, I decided to make the trip to try it. Plenty of parking and there was quite a lot of people when I went, Friday at lunchtime. In the parking lot, I downloaded the App to get a discount and to order ahead. Walking in, flashback! Everything is outdated, which honestly would not really be a problem except that you can tell that cleanliness is not a priority. There are broken booths, uneven floors, rips in the remaining fabric of the booths, etc. Okay, didnt think too much about it since I knew we weren't going to be there for more than 30 minutes. We were only going to be there to eat our meal. Through the App, our meal was ready quickly. Both of the sodas did NOT taste like the soda they were supposed to, watered down, no gas. I poured out the sodas and refilled them with the dispensers that were in the restaurant floor and the sodas tasted a little better, but not by much. The fish sandwich, BLEH! Disgusting!! Super soggy and undercooked bread and fish, no flavor overall, we both had one bite and could not finish the meal. I cant even imagine what a soggier mess the sandwich would have been if we had waited to eat it at home. The only redeeming quality was that the fries were not that bad, but we were left with no appetite after biting into the fish sandwich that we couldn't finish the fries either. I literally traveled all this way because of their special $2 anniversary menu and it still wasn't worth it, LOL. It's not Arby's that's the problem, it's how they cook things here. Their curly fries were hella cold. With all the foot traffic here you'd think they'd be hot! I asked them for warm fries and I think they just gave me the same fries back. Fun fact: My husband first job was working at Arby's. He first worked at the Southland Mall location and then at the San Leaandro location. It was owned by the same lady, Mindy. We were just bf/gf when he worked there so I had my share of the Jamocha shake, curly fries and roast beef sandwiches back in our day. I'm sure it's been over 30 years since I've had Arby's but my husband drives all the way to Sunnyvale to get his nostalgia on. So on this one Saturday afternoon, we were in the area and decided to try this Arby's as it's the one and only one we have here in the area. I got my husband to finally try something else as he always orders the same roast beef sandwiches whenever he goes here on his own. As a little tiny move from his old favorite, he got the roast beef gyro while I got the Greek Gyro. Son ordered a huge double cheeseburger. We also got 2 large crinkle fries. The food came fast and hot. We ate in the dining room. We saw a lot of people going in and out with many taking their meal to go but this place was busy! We enjoyed our meal a lot. We would probably be regulars if this place wasn't so far from us and we didn't have to pay a toll (Dumbarton Bridge) to come through. ***Steakhouse Wagyu Burger Review*** So...on May 23rd, Arby's rolled out a Limited-Time Only Steakhouse Wagyu Burger claiming "it's the highest quality burger the market has seen yet." "We're taking a stance on high-quality meat that deserves to be cooked properly." "Overdone burgers are over and done." Arby's claims to have spent over 2 years of R&D to create a "juicy burger with a crispy outer edge and slightly pink center". (The patty is a blend of 48% ground beef and 52% American Wagyu that's sous-vide then deep fried.) Hmmm, sounds waaaaay too good to be true (I know "wagyu" is just a marketing buzzword). BUT, these were some of the online reviews: "A+" "10/10" "A thing of beauty" "Worth the hype" And, my FAV one: "10x tastier than In-N-Out" Straight fighting words. Damn, what are these people smokin'?! Give ya girl some! I do believe Arby's *may* serve a decent fast food "wagyu" burger at other locations but not here...and not on the day I visited. BTW, this is the last of two Bay Area Arby's locations (if you count Fairfield). There's two Wagyu Burgers: Deluxe - $7.49 burger only, $11.49 for meal, and Bacon Ranch - $7.99 burger only, $11.99 for meal. However it's a maximally functioning well-oiled Arby's that time has not yet forgotten. Service was excellent, extremely courteous, nice, warm, even professional. If you happen to step inside, you'd almost walk straight into this low counter where you'd expect napkins, condiments or waste bins, but... no. Beef n Swiss sliders are larger than expected! 2 of these are enough for lunch, just add curly fries. Thin sliced roast beef and it's not too salty either. The regular sized sandwiches come with cheddar, but you can pile on the beef! Who here can take on a half pounder?? Wanna dunk your roast beef in some warmth? Order a classic French dip w/ Swiss and make sure to microwave the aus jus if it gets cold. I tried to be healthy and got a roast turkey ranch & cheese sandwich (ok, there was bacon) on thick sliced honey wheat bread. The turkey was kinda salty. Curly fries! Get them while they're hot. Arby's is a place I used to frequent many years ago. It has been a long time since I visited one, mainly because I don't see them often. Recently while in Sunnyvale around lunch time I had a chance to revisit an old classic. Looking at the menu, Arby's still has the core items I remember in addition to some more premium offerings. We ordered some of each using the drive-thru. There was a tip bucket placed so far out of the pick-up window that it was impossible to overlook. Horsey sauce and Arby's sauce are two of my favorite condiments when going here, so I strategically put some cash in the tip jar while asking for some sauce. This was a great strategy as it yielded giant handfulls of packets. Yay! We had: Roast Beef Classic: I got a couple bites of this using a bit of the Arby's sauce for tang. it was exactly as I remembered it, except the bun was dried out and falling apart. 3/5 Large Crinkle Cut Fries: crinkle fries are the best fries if you ask me, but these were very under-cooked and over-salted. I should have ordered my old favorite potato cakes. 2/5 Smoked Brisket Sandwich: I had high hopes for this, but was let down by the messy way it was assembled. There was some fairly decent smoked brisket, but not a lot of it. The cheese was melted but has a rubbery texture and no flavor. The fried onion straws were adequate. The BBQ sauce was good enough. I would skip a premium sandwich next time and probably go for an old classic like a Beef and Cheddar. 3/5 Chicken Nuggets: If there were chicken nuggets wars Arby's might emerge victorious. These were better than any other fast food place I have visited. 4/5 I'm kicking myself to this day because I forgot to order a Jamoca Shake. I totally forgot how much I enjoyed those until I was driving away. Maybe next time. For quick-service fast food Arby's is still pretty good, but I'm going back to the old favorites. This review is for the restaurant seats. My family has eaten here since it opened. When looking for seating, many of the booth seats have had very large and wide gashes/slices; exposing the padding material to anyone and everyone who sits on them for a very long time. The padding is very dirty harboring who know what and creating very unsanitary conditions. The food is always consistent and tasty but the restaurant's severely damaged seats should be fix not just for aesthetics but for sanitary conditions. Drove through on Nov 2nd, 2025. It was about 2:25 p.m. The order taker can barely speak English and he is impatient. He misunderstood everything and it was a labored order process. When I got to the pay window his hands were dripping wet and greasy because the water on his hands was headed up. Bleach!!! Ewww. To be kinder than my real opinion, I will just say he looks untrustworthy. He gave me two drinks that were soggy dripping wet with ?? The French fries had frozen curly fry amples laying on top. The crinkle fries were undercooked and tasteless and rubbery in texture. I couldn't get myself to fathom biting in to anything that creepy man made. He looked creepy, seriously. What is more gross, were the frozen uncooked fries on top of semi cooked crinkle fries. My total bill was over 27.00 for two meals that were 12.86 each plus tax. So my daughter took a sip of the low calorie lemonade and she ran to the bathroom to spit it out. She said it tasted like battery fluid. What the @#$&$# was she sipping? Ewww. This location needs to be investigated. Seriously. Of course we do not know how bad things are until I get home. I am going to demand a full refund and will go to BBB if necessary. I am going to get inspectors out their through contacting higher up management. I need to protect the community I live in. So, instead of the Classic Beef n' Cheddar I wanted, I lacked cheddar. Certainly easier to eat (compared to the cheesy mess I love), but extremely disappointing. At least that part was a misheard (checked my receipt) and not just given the wrong food, but still. It doesn't change the fact I didn't get what I wanted. After the brainwashing from all of the Arby's commercials that I've been seeing on TV, I decided to take the plunge and check them out for the first time ever. I've always been curious since Arby's has been around for so long, but I haven't heard many positive comments and didn't make the time. Every once in a while you need a hit of nostalgia for a good classic Arby's Roast Beef sandwich despite an oasis of excellent ethnic food restaurants around you. It's been a few years since I've been. We placed our order and watched four other parties trickle in, place their orders and receive them. Giving the benefit of the doubt, there is an instinctual -- better ask since it's been so long. They somehow "lost" our order. Are orders not computerized back there? It sure wasn't "busy". We received our order with an apology only to find they still forgot the potato cakes which were clearly on our receipt. How do you mess up an order? TWICE? And usually when an order takes too long even without forgetting it or getting it wrong, there is an offer to make amends with a free drink or dessert or other. No offer here what-so-ever. Regardless of the food--which has officially turned into over-processed food like product--this facility was not only sad and falling apart, it is a legitimate safety hazard with the floorboards coming up and obviously there were attempts to put it back but it looks like warped water damaged pieces that flare up causing trip hazards. Even the rugs were flipped up on the sides and both my partner and I each got caught on it KNOWING it was there. Don't come here. You'd think the establishment would have a minimal amount of baseline for the customer experience if not in ambiance than at least in safety. At least the staff wasn't rude or mean, just minimally functional. If you need fast food, go to iHop which tends to be fairly consistent at decent food for such an establishment. read more

4 stars for a fast food meal? Yep- the Wagyu beef bacon deluxe burger was a decent size, quite juicy enough to be messy but not too messy. The accoutrements: peppercorn sauce, red onion,tomato, brioche bun were much higher quality than I am used to at a fast food place. I enjoyed my sour blueberry lemonade and the curly fries were fine. Was the meal worth 15? Absolutely not! Was it double the quality and twice as satisfying as a basic meal from McDonald's Wendy's, or Burger King at $10-14 a pop? Absolutely! The guys at the drive through window were super sweet and happy at 9:45 pm and were diligent cleaning the store in preparation for closing. This gets the only location I know of, an extra star. Fast food is not worth the calories or the price you pay these days. I am very grateful that this restaurant is not located anywhere close to me, or I might be tempted more frequently. The convenience and the erstwhile value of a fast food and a drive through is what makes grabbing a meal through a window tempting. Now that value is not a factor at all, I am underwhelmed. I allow myself an In & Out double double monthly, but other than that ( save for the twice yearly order of McDonald's fries ( they had better be hot or i will refuse them )and an unsweetened iced tea ( up to $1.25 but still a value) I am a rare drive through food consumer.
