Had a late night hot dog and chocolate shake delivered. It has been several years since I had Five Guys (don't remember why I stopped going there), but I happened to remember how tasty their chocolate shakes are and that sounded good in the moment. I asked for mustard and onions on the hot dog. It was delicious, although there was a touch too much mustard. I like the way they split the hot dogs in half lengthwise and grill them. Gives it a nice flavor. The chocolate shake was to die for. It reminded me of the old fashioned shakes we'd get at diners as a kid. Thick, very chocolatey, with the taste of real ice cream. I got a BOGO burger deal on 2 Little Bacon Cheeseburgers and some Little Cajun Fries. I thought I had ordered from my nearest Five Guys only to find out I had to drive 15 minutes to the Alameda. I've never been to this building before it became a five guys.They waited for me to enter the restaurant before they cooked the fries, which was good because I was 5 miles away. Chain restaurants typically do not have any standout features that would make a review note worthy. Five guys is Five guys everywhere. This one is not any different. The burger are consistent with the brand. The store is typically clean, the bathroom is a wide card. It always smell like someone spilled a gallon of cleaner but didn't scrum the floors and walls. The service level is on par. The people are nice and respectful. Can't ask for more. This store is walking distance to our home, so we have been there several times. read more

If you want a tasty, do it your way burger, with the toppings of your desire this is the place! The area where the magic happens is visible, you can see your patty in the grill, your buns on the counters getting your fixings and your taters getting a conversion into fries! Nice and clean behind the counter, did not do sit down bit that looked clean too at a glance. Our little cheeseburger was delicious, the fries are the reason for the 4 stars, while they are yumm and stay hot, they were super salted (this happened last time too) so maybe request yours be unsalted so you can salt to taste. Otherwise great staff, super friendly and prompt and the milkshakes are yumm too! Parking can be an overcrowded but they are with the park and walk. They also have nice outside seating too! I can see them being busy during the summer and the final awesome part to this, located in a historic building in SF, reminds me of the old style burger hop buildings where people put a dime in the juke box and danced away! read more

This five guys is located in a small plaza on the corner intersection of a busy street. Very limited parking and there are other restaurants next door like Starbucks and uncle John's pancake house. Sometimes I come here during my lunch and can get my food fairly quickly. I ordered from their app and their drinks are bottled only. When ordering in person I can get fountain soda. Buuut their fountain soda is really bland. I don't really like how their veggies are chopped, it gets messy really quick. I prefer whole slices of onion and lettuce. However I really like the option to customize your burger. The regular burger comes with 2 patties and the "little" comes with one. Honestly the little cheeseburger is more than enough for me and I like to get the bacon cheeseburger and add bbq sauce. Overall it's alright, idk if it's because of all the toppings I put but it does get soggy quickly. read more

I have zero complaints about Five Guys. They have delicious burgers that are always cooked to perfection - the meat is cooked just right, there are tremendous options to customize your burgers, and you can to have peanuts while you wait! The service has always been fabulous (Getting served right away) and they take my order very efficiently too. Best one of my favorite parts of the Five Guys experience though is definitely the Cajun Fries! I can never get enough! Five Guys is clean, I never have an issue with parking (people are usually in and out), and you just have to be careful because it is on the corner, so sometimes it can get a little tricky. I always have a great experience ordering food from Five Guys, and I especially appreciate that I can place an order over the phone too. Very convenient! read more

No issue with the quality of the food that I received--my burger was as good as always; my order included a small single-serving sized bottle of Simply Lemonade which accompanied my burger and fries. When I asked the cashier for a cup that I could put some ice in for for the lemonade, she proceeded to tell me that she'd need to charge me $3+ for the fountain drink that would normally accompany the cup. Really? I informed her that I merely wanted a cup that I could put ice in that would adequately hold the contents of the bottle. May god have mercy on this Five Guys location. I have eaten at this location 5 times over 2 years. This Five Guys is within walking distance for me but I drive 15mins to the Curtner Ave location bc this one has been so bad. I have tried speaking to the manager and corporate about the issues but there hasn't been any improvement. So, here is a review. I hope this saves other customers or makes this location better. - The buns are supposed to be a wonderful squishy potato bun, but here they are hard/dense and smashed. 0 squish. Sad. - The burger and/or grilled toppings have so much excess grease and non-grilled toppings have so much excess water it saturates the bun. Really gross oily/watery bun. - Small, disappointing amount of fries. Five Guys prides itself on giving extra fries. This location does give that extra scoop but it's minimal, the founders would be disappointed. - The fries are always over salted and somehow over cooked looking but never crisp. The color is a darker brown than they should be, probably from over used oil. Yet, never crisp, likely bc they have been sitting out. - The location is amazing. So let's start off by saying how awake I was prior to eating this burger. When clicking I then noticed that it had unlimited toppings so I click mushrooms, grilled onions, tomatoes, mayo, mustard and green peppers even!!!! What's a burger without those toppings. I'm patiently waiting for my burger starving by the way, I'm watching them make burgers which is even more appealing to my eye. they gave me my food and I am just so excited to go back to my car and devour my burger. It only took me nine bites to finish it. I was so hungry I counted. I don't know but all I'm saying is I've never been put into a food coma the way that this burger put me into it. it wasn't just good it was transcendent. I couldn't stop biting it one after another. To the point my stomach was hurting because I ate so fast and I still couldn't stop eating the burger and the fries. My family and I have been to Five Guys but not this particular one. It was a Monday and my daughter called me while I was at work to tell me she was on her way to the hospital to have my grandbebe. It would take some time for her to get settled and registered so hubby and I decided to go find something to eat as it was 4PM and labor can be quit the lengthy adventure. As we drove down the Alameda we spotted Five Guys on the corner of The Alameda and Race Street. Parking was plentiful as it was still early and the neighboring establishment was not open. We ordered 2 cheeseburgers All The Way, 1 order of fries and 2 drinks. Also, when we walked in my husband was excited to see that they brought their self serve peanuts back. Since Covid they weren't offering this for safety reasons. Burgers were delicious. We learned a long time ago to only order one order of fries since an order is an entire cup full with an extra scoop thrown on top. This meal was everything I needed as my granddaughter was not born until Tuesday evening and after this meal I had lived on Hot Fries and a Bang...lol! read more

Great double bacon cheeseburger and canjun fries with ranch sauce I buy from the place next door. The burger is cooked just right. Not overcooked, not undercooked. The fries are really good and which I usually don't finish, but take home for later. I heat up the fries and they don't get hard like some places I've tried heating up fries and they turn hard that I toss in the trash. Inside the restaurant is nothing to rave about its a burger stop! The worst experience of my life. I walked in my service dog no one said anything and then my food was ready ,when I went to grab I was asked to go outside with my dog.I explained to the gentleman she is my service dog I am a diabetic and I am walking with a cane. I even offered to show my paperwork to them and then he said okay. Then they got my order wrong. Then my dog barked at me to remind me it was time to take my medication. Then other gentleman came to the table saying that his manager asked us to leave because no dogs allowed. I have only been to five guys a couple times. I like their burgers and they give a ton a fries. For the small fries you can actually share one fry order with two people. My burger got me so full I couldn't eat as many fries and I can eat when I am hangary. Lol. The fries were good but some were a bit soggy. The Oreo milk shake was pretty good. Ordered via the app. Clicked on the I am here, button upon arrival. Waited at the pick up counter for about five minutes. The gentleman preparing the orders gave me no eye contact, but constantly called out numbered orders as they became ready. He left and went on a brea, and I saw him eating in the dining area. The next gentleman (taller, heavier) likewise gave no eye contact as he called and fulfilled orders. What was I to do, interrupt them and remind them that I am the customer? So I called the store, and the ladies who answered finally made eye contact with me when I identified myself. She said that they were getting the fries ready. I saw that my bag had been sitting there while all these orders have been fulfilled, so that was an outright lie. Another lady then spoke directly to me and admonished me for calling the store in order to get attention. I explained that no one was giving me eye contact, or asking me my name or anything about my order. She said, Quoting, "you can't just call the store, you have to talk to one of us". I explained again that I would have done that but absolutely no employees gave me any eye contact whatsoever, although I stood at that counter for several minutes. I said that the customer service there was terrible and I'd like to speak to the manager, and she identified herself as the manager. She again admonished me for making a phone call and interrupting her staff. Again, I repeated that I tried to get their attention and no one would give me attention. (Clearly the concept of who is paying who is not clear here). She repeated her admonishment and then said, quoting again, "that's just the way it is" and then proceeded to ignore me and not say another word to me. I used to eat at Five Guys hamburger, they used to have great hamburgers at great prices and the french fries were also excellent! I quit going a year or so ago when they started raising their prices used to be $5.95 for a hamburger the double Patty, Now that same hamburger is $9.99 (no cheese) and the hamburger meat just doesn't taste as good as it used to rather Bland! I stop by there today for just a hamburger and a small fry and it was almost $16! I got the small fry but needless to say they must have dumped an extra pound of fries on me trying to make up for the overpriced hamburger! I couldn't even finish the french fries!
