    Hot Dog
    Stacy C.

Had a late night hot dog and chocolate shake delivered. It has been several years since I had Five Guys (don't remember why I stopped going there), but I happened to remember how tasty their chocolate shakes are and that sounded good in the moment. I asked for mustard and onions on the hot dog. It was delicious, although there was a touch too much mustard. I like the way they split the hot dogs in half lengthwise and grill them. Gives it a nice flavor. The chocolate shake was to die for. It reminded me of the old fashioned shakes we'd get at diners as a kid. Thick, very chocolatey, with the taste of real ice cream. Oh so good. I'll definitely be back.

Came for a late lunch around 2:30. Ordered two burgers and some cajun fries. Food came out pretty quickly and was pretty yummy. Am obsessed with the peanuts. There's plenty of seating available at this location.

The service is good here but not much parking. Five guys has gone downhill but not the employees fault. I paid $25 for a cheeseburger, little fries and a milkshake so expensive! The bun is also soggy despite them saying they toast it but I've noticed this at all locations.

I have stopped here several times and liked the service and food every time. First of all, there are plenty of parking spots so that makes it much easier in San Jose. Secondly, the food is good and all the ingredients are fresh. Thirdly, there are plenty of tables and a really clean bathroom. Their fries are absolutely to die for.

Chain restaurants typically do not have any standout features that would make a review note worthy. Five guys is Five guys everywhere. This one is not any different. The burger are consistent with the brand. The store is typically clean, the bathroom is a wide card. It always smell like someone spilled a gallon of cleaner but didn't scrum the floors and walls. The service level is on par. The people are nice and respectful. Can't ask for more. This store is walking distance to our home, so we have been there several times.

If you want a tasty, do it your way burger, with the toppings of your desire this is the place! The area where the magic happens is visible, you can see your patty in the grill, your buns on the counters getting your fixings and your taters getting a conversion into fries! Nice and clean behind the counter, did not do sit down bit that looked clean too at a glance. Our little cheeseburger was delicious, the fries are the reason for the 4 stars, while they are yumm and stay hot, they were super salted (this happened last time too) so maybe request yours be unsalted so you can salt to taste. Otherwise great staff, super friendly and prompt and the milkshakes are yumm too! Parking can be an overcrowded but they are with the park and walk. They also have nice outside seating too! I can see them being busy during the summer and the final awesome part to this, located in a historic building in SF, reminds me of the old style burger hop buildings where people put a dime in the juke box and danced away!

Friendly folks here We were craving burgers and fries so we stopped by after shopping around... It's clean and friendly folks! That's all we asked for...

Bun is smashed and saturated w water and grease. Disappointment is immeasurable.

May god have mercy on this Five Guys location. I have eaten at this location 5 times over 2 years. This Five Guys is within walking distance for me but I drive 15mins to the Curtner Ave location bc this one has been so bad. I have tried speaking to the manager and corporate about the issues but there hasn't been any improvement. So, here is a review. I hope this saves other customers or makes this location better. - The buns are supposed to be a wonderful squishy potato bun, but here they are hard/dense and smashed. 0 squish. Sad. - The burger and/or grilled toppings have so much excess grease and non-grilled toppings have so much excess water it saturates the bun. Really gross oily/watery bun. - Small, disappointing amount of fries. Five Guys prides itself on giving extra fries. This location does give that extra scoop but it's minimal, the founders would be disappointed. - The fries are always over salted and somehow over cooked looking but never crisp. The color is a darker brown than they should be, probably from over used oil. Yet, never crisp, likely bc they have been sitting out. - The location is amazing. Awesome diner on a corner surrounded by beautiful palm trees. Unfortunately, there is a homeless problem here and the entire interior can be overcome w a deep urine smell while you're eating. May god have mercy on this Five Guys location FR

Good food, served up fast. Only thing is the prices are high and they don't offer combo meals.

This is their current location, but I don't think it's their permanent place of business. Just for the time being. Google maps will take you to a parking lot entrance that's closed, blocked by a chain, so make sure you enter the parking lot on Locust Street. I ordered online, and the wait time was a bit long (20+ minutes) but not terrible. And once you arrive, there's a sign near the parking lot directing you to walk down an alley-like path. No signs at the door, just a dumpster outside. Yup, that's where you pick up. It feels like you're walking through the back door of a restaurant kitchen. Actually when you step inside, it indeed IS the kitchen which doubles as a pickup spot (no seats, no signs, I just showed the guy my order on my phone and he handed me my food packed neatly in a paper bag). I got the perro loco which comes with fries on the side, and an arepa with cheese. I didn't like that customers can't customize items when ordering online for pick up. Also wasn't a fan of the pineapple sauce, though I think that's one of the things they're known for. But the hot dog was still good, generous with the toppings and certainly unique. The sausage was plump and juicy with a mild flavor. The fries were delicious as well, and didn't taste cheap. And the mini arepa with cheese was buttery and had a nice texture. Altogether it made for a filling meal.

The menu is extensive with a mix of options (including a vegetarian burger). I ordered El Apto which came with a beef patty, bacon, shredded chicken, lettuce, tomato...all between a brioche bun. This came with fries and a side of pineapple sauce and apto sauce. I dipped my fries in the apto sauce and it was so good! The pineapple sauce goes well in the burger and also on the fries. The beef patty was perfectly seasoned and so juicy. All the flavors were amazing and tasted so fresh. I loved the crispy bacon and the shredded chicken. The chicken was well flavored and they put an ample amount on top of the burger. Wow! What a great combo. I also tried the maracuya (passion fruit) drink and it was so good! I like that it wasn't too sweet. It's fresh and refreshing. They are pretty busy because it's their opening so there might be a wait but it's totally worth it. There are tables around for you to sit so it's casual. The owner is so nice and you can tell he is very proud of his food. Highly recommend!!

The hostess was very friendly and showed us to our table. We had a table inside, which was an intimate upscale casual area with a bar. We ordered the stuffed mushrooms for a starter. It was so hard to pick one because everything on the menu sounds so good. Alas, I have a small appetite. The mushrooms were very tasty and a nice start to our meal. For entrees, we had the halibut and prime filet with a side of broccolini. Everything was cooked perfectly and was delicious. Drinks are on the pricey side- I had a Hero Old Fashioned and the Taylor Made, $20 each. They were nicely crafted, so worth the price. They brought out a Carmel Popcorn Sundae for my husband's birthday and even gave him a birthday card which I thought was a nice touch. Service was slow and steady. We had ample time to enjoy our food without feeling rushed, but never felt like our server forgot about us. We spent about 2 hours for dinner. Probably not a place to go if you're in a hurry. I'm eager to return and try some more of the starters. It's the kind of place I'd love to take out of town guests - high quality fine dining in a casual and relaxed environment.

The restaurant had a nice visual ambience, but also felt casual as there was a lot of chatter, which isn't a bad thing depending on what you're looking for. Our waiter was especially friendly and helped us decide what to order. I really wish I could remember his name, as I'm posting this a bit late, but he was a huge reason why we had a great experience! Here's a quick rating on the food itself: Stuffed mushrooms (3.5/5): This was recommended by the waiter as a favorite among patrons. The mushrooms weren't bad or anything, but for some reason, it gave me combination pizza vibes that I wasn't expecting. It was good, but I wouldn't go out of my way to order it again personally. Bone-in ribeye (5/5): an amazing cut that was cooked perfectly. Exactly what you would expect from a good steakhouse. The compound butter was fantastic! Bone-in apricot glazed pork chop (3.5/5): this one may hit different for different folks. The pork was perfectly cooked and juicy, but the apricot glaze was definitely a little too sweet for our palettes. If you're looking for something more savory, I might try something else. But hey, sweet might be your thing too! Caramel popcorn sundae (4.5/5): we got this one complimentary for being our special day, which was a really nice surprise! And it was a full serving! This one was obviously sweet, but surprisingly more subdued than it sounds, which was really nice! Overall, it was truly a memorable night with great food. And though some things didn't quite work for our palettes, I can totally see that it may for others--so that didn't impact my ratings because they were still good--just not for us. That said, the care that we received on our anniversary was what truly made me land on a 5/5 rating. Definitely coming back for future special occasions!
