I'm that person that will defend Arby's slander all day. Arby's is like the Chickfila of red meats. Fight me about it. The RIC airport-convenient location just got a face-lift, so it looks updated and more appealing from the exterior. The lunch-hour line was not too bad with 2 lanes and employees with iPads locked and loaded. I love the convenience of someone just coming to your car, but its also unfortunate that I can't see new items on the menu or know my options if I'd rather have 4 potato cakes over the default of 2. This type of set-up is definitely more tailored for the Arby's habitual eater that knows what they want. I've never had any issues with quality of food or service, so I'll return to get my fix, but I'll review the menu before hand if I want to try something new.

During these times it seems the fast food places are set up for take out the best. The people working here were very friendly. We got the special deal 5 roast beef sandwiches for $10. The sandwiches were delicious. The sandwiches had a lot of roast beef piled high in the rolls. I filled up with one sandwich. Spouse had two. Both happy and satisfied. Saving the other two for later. Stay safe. And enjoy all your outings.

This isn't the first visit to this location. However, it might be my last. I decided after 16 hours of work I wanted something fast to grab for dinner. Order: Pecan Chicken Salad wrap today was an epic fail to deliver this properly. My wrap was a fold over, there was an abundance of mayo/sauce they use and NO CHICKEN. This had me completely confused as to how this happened. I am assuming it was to much sauce and the maker wasn't able to see. anywho...... Well now, the part that ruffled my feathers......you take my payment (check card) swipe it.......then you start playing on your phone with my card in your hand. Now I am nervous did she take a photo of my card front and back? When she saw me stretching up to look she handing me my card with no receipt. Now, I need to watch my account even closer. That is one thing you do not do when working the drive-thru.

It's not too often that i write a review for a fast food restaurant, but this location intrigued me and i enjoy a big variety of food that i normally do not get to try at the Arby's in SoCal. i ordered a classic roast beef sandwich and they claim it's grass fed beef. Very cool, as i prefer grass fed for sure. The only drawback with the sandwich is that the beef was very much on the dry side and not juicy at all. I guess that's to be expected. I added some horsey sauce and Arby sauce to liven it up a bit. Now this location bakes its own cookies with many unique flavors. I will have to revisit as i cannot remember all the flavors. They also have custard for their shakes with all sorts of flavors and topping. I even got a taste of the custard and it was delicious. Why doesn't the Arby locations in SoCal have custard? I wish i knew why. They use ghiradelli chocolate with peanut butter, banana, oreo and jamocha. They have green tea as a choice of beverage which i dig and they make their own fresh lemonade which wasn't overly sweet like some can be. Hopefully next time i stop in, the meat will taste better. It was probably already cut and just sitting there, as it was an hour until closing time.

Arby's is a place that most people love despite being an older restaurant. I ordered via door dash today. My items arrived quickly but seemed to be sloppy. All items for my potato were not on there like it should be. I do not like that I cannot order a shake and other delicious sides like corn and broccoli via the app. Take your time and get orders right.

Frozen custard is the perfect way to top off a great meal of rotisserie chicken, sweet potato and a salad. I need to stop here every time I go to Richmond airport . Staff is nice and friendly. Generally rather clean except when busy.

It was a weekday after work. I went to my homegirl's house because I missed her birthday I offered to take her out someplace nice. She said no way man and immediately said we were going to this sandwich shop. This was the only thing she wanted. So we were gonna veg out on her couch. Have a couple cocktails and whatever else and watch something on TV. And her new couch is the bees knees. For me, the sandwich was perfect. The bread was beautiful and crusty. I was afraid it was going to be toasted and too crusty, and I'd be fighting to bite it and my sandwich guts spilling out while cutting up my gums and the roof of my mouth like it's Captain crunch or something.. BUT NO! It was PERFECT to bite through. They load you up with the meat they're not stingy. And the sauces... BABY! The aïoli was fantastic. My only beef is that horseradish aioli needed a little bit more of a kick, but that's a personal problem. My friend got the chicken Caesar and I see why it's popular. It is so garlicky and delicious. I already have plans on what I'm gonna get next time I go and I don't live close so it's gonna take a special trip and I intend to make it.

Cons: While I understand the sandwich requires a strong vessel to hold the toppings, the bread was very thick and tough. The fillings did not match the bread proportion on this particular sandwich. The chicken breast was extremely overcooked and difficult to chew. Several pieces were leather-like in texture. Maybe chicken thighs would work better. I love the creativity of this sandwich and I get where they were trying to go, but the finished product was disappointing. A new line cook was being trained so perhaps this accounted for the miss. I've seen photos of the other sandwiches and they look delicious with better proportioned fillings. Not sure if I'll give it another try, but shoutout to all their fans in Church Hill.

No sauce needed! Another standout was the cucumber & tomato salad which had just the right amount of vinegar. The green beans and the cabbage were tasty, but just a tad too salty for me. I can't fault them, as I rarely use salt, it's likely my palette that is off. The pulled pork was excellent, but needed sauce. Alas I cannot have sweet sauces. I then got the idea to combine the pork with the cabbage and found it similar to the experience of eating luau pork with poi. Better together! I added the leftover vinegar dressing from the C&T salad to the green beans and found that also was a hit. The desserts were very tempting, but I opted instead to order enough brisket and pulled pork for the weekend. It's proven to be very filling!! I also can't say enough about the staff. So genuinely welcoming, helpful, friendly, and clearly proud of their product (as they should be!). Put a smile on my face and will look forward to returning on future trips to Richmond!

Earlier in the month, I was finally able to check them out for the first time. I had my eye on their Italian hoagie, which is listed under the Cold section, but I know better at this point in time of living in the South and the many Italian hoagies that I have had to refrigerate. So I ordered it without the tomato or peppers and served cold. I ordered it through the bartender, who told me that they do serve them cold and that they were out of peppers that day. Turns out they were not out of peppers and they did not serve it cold. I can't eat peppers due to food sensitivities, so I sent it back and asked for it to be re-made. This was the bartender's mistake, from the receipt I could see that he didn't send those notes to Fat Kid, to be clear. The second rendition was made correctly, and it was definitely tasty, but they are overpriced. It's pretty obvious from my picture that this wasn't some hefty, super stuffed and loaded with meats/cheese hoagie. It looks like a normal 6" hoagie. Not worth $11 for it, in my opinion. I'd rather spend $16 at Stanley's or $10 for a full-size at Mr. Submarine.
