This company promised to get rid of the bugs at my house and seem to have made it worse. When I called to cancel they charged me a huge cancelation fee and were not helpful when I called to speak to a representative about the issue. Communication within the company is terrible. Drivers were not informed about the cancelation and would still call to say they were on the way. Based off the other review it seems these are common occurrences. Avoid this place at all costs. Very pushy sales person that annoyed me to no end. Their first and only "treatment" was about 5 minutes to do; and I live on an acre so you know they didn't do very much. Had me on their "schedule" and didn't show up. The young salesman that saw inside one room of our home thought my children were alone when my partner and I were outside and decided that was reason enough to call the police on us. My grandfather was inside with them at the time and when the officer showed up, my son was outside with my father. When called, the person on the phone tried to argue with us.​ read more

I was sitting at home when i saw a man walking down the road. He then walked up to my house and I met him outside he said that he was working for Aptive pest control and that he wanted to know if any parents where home I said no one had just left he asked for a time frame on when one would be home I said i am not sure he said is there any car i can look out for i said a white car or white truck and he said okay he asked for my name and i told him he said nice my name is will and went to my neighbors house i felt weird about it and asked some neighbors because he had said he talked to some mind you there is no one home on my street except for houses that he has not made it too once he left on foot i asked some neighbors they said he when weird and shady they are both females and i am the only male home on the street but he was not like that towards me he left and after 45 minutes i thought it would be a good idea to look for him he had barley made it down the road and i asked if he was for working aptive pest control he said he works in the area again i asked if he was working for aptive pest control he said yes and did i need help with it i said no and drove off it started to rain and he had now car or truck so i drove back by and he was gone not at any houses or at any sort of protection from the rain he was just gone i think aptive should talk to or even see if they have this guy as a worker and if so give him a talk please anyone who meets a will be carful he is pushy shady and kind of creepy never will i ever talk or use aptive as my pest control company read more

I normally never write a complaint about a company but this is the worst pest service company. When you call the office you're on hold for 20 or 30 mins stating they are experiencing high call volumes. Every day the same message same long wait times. Received an email stating they were coming to perform their service at 12am. Received another email stating they were coming but never showed up, didn't get a call letting me know. read more

Do not use their services! I had 2 treatments that did nothing to help insect issues. The manager scheduled a free treatment to make up for the issues, and no one showed for the appointment I took off work for. When I tried to cancel future treatments they charge a $200 fee when it is their services that are not up to par. Their customer service is terrible. Absolutely bizarre experience. Extreme lack of professionalism. I sincerely doubt their abilities to perform any service whatsoever and I am glad to have cancelled. The app didn't work, the staff did not communicate well, I was never given any text notification prior to appointment arrivals despite asking several times for one. Just getting someone competent on the phone to reschedule was a monumental task. The technicians coming out left me concerned for their ability to properly treat my home...and after having two reschedules and a second person coming to my home they never actually rendered any service. Waste of my time and the entire experience left me confused and bewildered that such an immaturely staffed company exists. Also, there were no precautions for the covid social distancing. read more

They came to our neighborhood and were soliciting all day. Rang the doorbell 3 times in the period of a few hours, including at 8 pm. Our neighbors all have kids so this is annoying. We also have no soliciting signs everywhere. read more

I am extremely disappointed in this service. Twice I had appointments for an initial service and twice they blew me off without a phone call. They obviously don't need new custmers and thank god I learned this before I got sucked in. Will never use this company and I will not ever recommend them. read more

They did a decent job of controlling the ants in the yard, but customer service is lacking. The techs have always been professional. They are very nice and very clean. my issue is the appointment process. Appointments are not negotiated with customers. we get a message 30 minutes before arrival that they are coming, wether we are home or not. I was told appointments are computer generated and scheduled for techs. They get a schedule that morning and start their work. After talking to several techs, it all rains down on them from frustrated customers. That is a bad way to do business, for your employees and for the customers. After rescheduling once, we were told if we rescheduled again our contract would be terminated and we would have to pay a termination fee. I will pay to stop from having to deal with their customer service on the phone. Sorry to techs for being stuck with a crappy company. read more

This company uses dishonest sales strategies to trick people into a 12-month commitment. I was told by the salesman that I'd get a 'free' service today and that, while they did not want customers to cancel immediately after the free service, I COULD cancel after a paid service if I did not like the service. We went over that several times, because I did not want to commit to a year's contract with a company I'd never heard of and hadn't had time to review. But when the man came to do the service, he tried to get me to quickly sign a second contract. When questioned, he told me that I would NOT be able to get out of the contract until after the 12 months. In reading other reviews, it seems many other people are having this experience of being told something untrue by the salesman to get them to sign a contract they can't get out of. We have a social distancing order in Durham and the whole state is supposed to be minimizing contact with other people right now. For the second day in a row I just had the same representative from this company come to my door with no mask and not social distancing. I called their customer service and they basically blew me off I would never ever use this company. They don't care about their employee's safety and they don't care about the public's safety. read more

To be honest, we didn't read that and signed since it was the beginning of covid-19 and felt sorry for many people who didn't have a job and wanted to support them. for each service, they just do a few mins with a extended stick cleaning spider web under porch. Do not use this company for your pest control services. A kid came by our house and talked a great talk. I was all about it because of their "natural" pesticide and my husband agreed. We were told our initial service would be $99. While speaking to the guy he noticed the wasps we had all around and watched me struggle to come out the front door because there was a wasp right outside. He assured me they would take care of them and all the fire ants in our yard. The next day someone was scheduled to come out around 6pm (my husband wanted to be home for this to ensure everything was taken care of). Someone came around 1pm. I told him he was earlier than we expected, but continued to Share with him our problems and he spent about 30-40 mins in the yard. It's been a few weeks and so far I have seen more bugs in our house than ever. Giant fire ant hills still popping up all over the place. The wasps nests that I pointed out are STILL there and still so bad we had a wasp come in our home today when I opened the door earlier. We've seen no improvement. On top of that, we were notified that we owed $249 for that service. My husband spoke with someone and they assured they would take care of it. A few days later we were notified again that we still owe $249. This company is not reputable and did not follow through with the services they spoke so highly about. Save your money. read more
