It was a GE model with the contemporary / modern look 30 inch. It has three fan speeds, dimmable lights, and remote control. This range hood is currently selling for $679 everywhere else. At American freight I was able to get it for $291 all because it has minor scratches on the wall side. When I say minor, I mean minor. The scratches are about a half inch and there's only two scratches on the side that butts against the wall. It did not come in an outer box but it was in excellent condition and all the accessories were in the original boxes, that had not been open. Last but not least, I want to give a shout out to the staff who was patient and very helpful. I called in, then went to see it at the store, and decided to do some research. I went back home did some research and was able to purchase it online and pick it up the very next day. Trustin (hope I spelled his name correctly) assisted me the night before and the day that I went to pick it up. Very nice associate, very helpful, and he gave me some great information/ details about the range hood itself. The range hood was very easy to install all parts and all the screws were in the boxes. The only negative thing is that the automated Jenny leaves you messages about delivery time and there's no one to talk to during weekends. I needed at least 30 minutes before the delivery was on its way to my home but couldn't talk to anyone to tell them that. they gave me a 2 hr window and they showed up 15 minutes before that window. It all worked out at the end, but being ableist to communicate with the delivery driver would be nice. I have bought all the appliances for my homes at Spencers for years, the delivery is usually the next day.

I won't say that I shop at B&B exclusively because I always do my research and shop around, but I've yet to NOT to purchase from B&B after comparing four or five appliance retailers. Take that for what it is, a ringing endorsement for you to not waste time waiting for a deal on Black Friday, Memorial Day or Fourth of july and make your way to B&B for your next appliance purchase.

There is a lot to be said for a company who takes responsibility for their actions, so I appreciate that. The igniter went out on our oven and we called Steve's. Ash came out and replaced the igniter. A short time later, the oven would not heat again. We were still under warranty, so Ash came out again and said it was a faulty igniter and replaced it again. After that, the oven seemed to be working, but then the door would blow open we smelled gas. We called the gas company and he knew immediately it was a "misaligned igniter". We were informed it was extremely dangerous and the gas was turned off. We called Steve's once again and were told we would need to pay again as this was a "new" issue. It was like pulling teeth to get them to come out again so we had another company come out and they discovered the igniter was installed incorrectly-flipped around so the actual igniter piece was to far away from the burner to ignite properly. (Because it was incorrect, it only had one screw holding it on when there were holes for two screws, but in this incorrect position, the holes didn't line up. So the tech didn't recognize that something was wrong and only put one screw!) The gas would build up in the oven and then eventually reach the threshold to ignite and explode and blow the door open and release gas into the house!! It was beyond a novice mistake on the part of Steve's that could have been disastrous for my family. If I could give negative stars, I would.

My husband repairs everything in our home. He was an engineer. He's replaced parts, torn apart assemblies, poured through service sheets and the internet and has been unable to fix this issue. We were hesitant to call anyone, because we had a bad experience years ago, where another appliance repair group told us on the phone that it would be a $250 charge to come to our house to diagnose a problem on our washing machine, and then if they could fix it, the repair cost of parts and labor would probably be over $500, on top of that diagnosis fee. That was more than the washing machine originally cost. My husband got on the internet and figured out the issue and repaired it with a $20 part from Amazon in 30 minutes. My husband did not want to make a call for outside help, but I insisted. We needed professional assistance. After much research, we found Appliance Works, a family owned company that had fantastic reviews online. We called them to schedule an appointment to come out and diagnose the problem. The diagnosis service call was to cost $95, and it would be applied towards any repair costs. After our other experience, this sounded like a dream. The day of the appointment, the technician, Edwin, was right on time. He was sharp, knowledgeable, and professional. To make a long story short, he spent almost three hours working on our problem. He even got Brett, the owner, on the phone when he couldn't figure out the issue after 2 hours, and Brett was right there to support him in thinking through the possible issues. When is the last time you encountered a company whose owner gave that kind of support to his field personnel? We thought they were going to tell us that we owed more, but at the end, the bill was only $95. They gave us a quote for repairs and applied the $95 against that quote. We now have a working refrigerator again. This is an awesome company and they hire incredible people. The owner supports his people in a way that you just don't encounter in most businesses today. We can't say enough about them. Don't look any further; just call them if you need help with an appliance.

Super quick. Super efficient and effective communication. Let's face it. We're all busy. I don't necessarily have the luxury of stopping what I'm doing in the middle of the day or stepping away from my desk to make a call. It's much easier to respond via email or text and I suspect that's the case for most busy individuals these days. They called me ahead of time to let me know Chris was on his way to get my appliances fixed. Our Maytag washer was rockin' & rollin' even with the lightest of wash loads & our dryer has no power at all. After a quick diagnostic test, Chris has everything all figured out. It took him a couple of hours (including time he had to obtain parts) but he got our washer & dryer all fixed up! Repair cost was on par with just about any other repair network in the Valley with far better communication. Not fun paying this stuff out of pocket but still considerably less expensive than a new washer & dryer. I would not hesitate at all to recommend Appliance Works to my friends, family or fellow Yelp'ers!
