Stopped by our neighborhood Applebee's the other night because we couldn't think of anywhere else to go. We seated ourselves immediately upon arrival in the bar, which was great because we showed up during happy hour. There was a bit of a delay before anyone came over to greet us or take our food/drink order. After being seated for a bit, one of the female bartenders came by and brought us waters and then another server took over because their shift started. Once service picked up, the experience was much better. The food was well-prepared and flavorful, and the happy hour specials were an especially great value for both food and drinks. However, 1 of the 3 appetizers we ordered was barely warm when we received it, as if it was done and had been sitting there awhile before it was brought out to our table. Elliot was an excellent server--very friendly, patient, and professional. He made sure to check in on us throughout the meal without being intrusive and was happy to answer questions and make suggestions. His attentive service definitely stood out and made the visit more enjoyable. Overall, a solid experience with good food, great happy hour deals, and standout service once things got rolling. With slightly quicker initial service and fresher/hotter appetizers, this would easily be a five-star spot. read more

Saw the commercial for apple bees dipping cheese burgers. So I got on my phone and ordered to go pick up. 20 minutes round trip. I get home there is no queso cheese in with the cheeseburger. Paid $1. for extra bacon and $.99 extra for extra queso cheese. Got neither. 1 with mashed 1 with waffle fries. $41.00 with tip. So I call and tell them and they say bring it back that's not right we will fix it. So I spent another 20 minute round trip and it's the same fing thing only with ff's. No waffle fries no mashed just cold regular fries. And once again No dipping cheese Evidently it doesn't come with the dipping cheese if you get it to go!!! Will not go back and if I had another 20 minute drive in me I would have taken it back and got my money back. Instead my dog ate it. read more

Just meh. Came in with friends and ordered a couple Margherita flights and some appetizers. Honestly the drinks were awful. Flavoring tasted so artifical and like medicine. The food was fine but the server didn't bring any plates, silverware or napkins with the appetizers. Like really? Is that not standard practice? A couple who came in 45min after we made our order was given their food within 15min we still waited. I ordered a spinach and artichoke dip for myself. My kids ordered Mac and cheese and a corn dog and strawberry vanilla yogurts. A kids chicken tender meal with fries. We are mixed race. Everyone around us was not. I was being given run around oh just waiting on food for over an hour. While others who kept coming in were being served before us. I am angry. My children were hungry. We stopped in before going to a park and everyone else was being served around us with steaks and ribs and burgers and wings. Why were we left sitting here for an hour and 10 after we ordered? With barely an explanation...after an hour they just gave my kids their side dishes something to help them settle fries and two yogurt and strawberry parfaits. I'm extremely upset this is unacceptable we will never return here. I co-run a business for not even a manager to come out an apology or anyone beyond a (foods being prepared) for over an hour?. Food portions got small! Me and my man come here regularly. Our drinks were not filled up all the way. Used to fill my lemons drop up 3 times now it's 1.5. My mans bear had two inches missing from the top(that's including the foam too) Oh and the two small caesars salads. Barely anything in the bowl. A few bites and it was gone. They used to actually fill the bowl but not anymore. It's like they're trying to save every penny they can. The server we had was great. Good service. But dang it's like every restaurant would rather ruin their reputation than serve a decent size beer (at least fill it all the way? And salad. Because salads are cheap. This is one of my favorite spots in the Couve for cheap happy hour drinks and appetizers. I have been in close to 30 times and I have never had a bad experience. Their happy hour is from 3-6 and restarts at 9 pm until close. The drinks are always flowing in this place!!! Today I ordered the Happy Hour $5 All American Mucho and the $ 7 Red Sangría . The drinks were on point to get the evening started. Our bartender had the drinks out super quickly. I was really impressed. It helps that she only had two tables occupied around 5 pm today!! For appetizers i went with the Chicken Wonton Tacos and the Chicken Quesadillas. The food was out quickly as well. The tacos were sweet and delicious. Okay, look, I get it: it's an Applebee's: a half-step lateral from a TGI Fridays. This is not haute cuisine, and I know that. But after spending nearly six hours at a car dealership, engrossed in the hurry-up-and-wait process of buying a nee vehicle, and with three kids in tow, we weren't about to rush home and cook something. This was quick and convenient, and we weren't expecting much, which made it all the more surprising that things went as well as they did. First off, HUGE shout out to our server, Juliette. On every level, she seemed to intuit our needs before we were able to vocalize them. For example, after placing our drink orders, she zipped away and returned with them in a flash, with the addition of a bowl of Maraschino cherries, which she placed in front of the boys, knowing they were going to want them. Sure enough, they tore into them immediately, and kept them occupied until the entrees started to arrive. She also predicted the need for a rather large pile of napkins, which ended up all being used by our three half-Tasmanian Devils. Kids meals were the first to arrive: your standard cheeseburger meal with fries or broccoli, all of which were devoured in near record time, so they've got the kids' tastes tailored well. I had the quesadilla burger, my go-to choice, and one I enjoy as a guilty pleasure, even if it tends to be a bit soggy and fall apart near the end. My wife's wonton tacos, another favorite of ours, were barely touched due to filling up on their surprisingly fantastic French Onion soup and artichoke dip. Leftovers? Yeah, not gonna complain about eating those twice in a row! We each had a celebratory cocktail in honor of the new vehicle purchase, but I was not expecting them to come in a fishbowl! Yikes! I'm glad that I have a high alcohol tolerance, because I will admit, I was buzzing pretty good after one. Good thing I called it there! The Blue Hawaiian Long Island was tart and crisp and refreshing, and my wife loved her Bahama Mama, although I did not sample it, so I can't comment personally. Overall, this was a pretty fantastic experience. Juliette's service was the fifth star that put things over the top, but it's good to know that Applebee's, while not exactly avant-garde, is consistent in quality, reasonably priced and family friendly. If you would like to be called "a little piece of shit." Then this apple bees is the perfect place for you. We arrived slightly over an hour before closing. Our plan was to get in and out and leave a good amount before closing so we didn't hold up any of the staff. When we arrived there was definitely people but nothing crazy and I certainly wouldn't call it a "rush" or "busy" by restaurant standards. We first went to the bar but decided we wanted to sit in a booth instead, I asked the bartender if they were still seating people outside the bar, she said yes ask the manager. I walked over to the manager and asked if we could sit at the booth in the corner, he said "yes that's fine" We sat there atleast 10 minutes when we were finally greeted by Hunter. I would say our server but he made it clear from the get go he was not enthused we were there. The first thing he said was "it's going to be a long wait with you guys sitting here, atleast another 20 to even get food, I'm gonna have to seat you somewhere else, I'm supposed to be off" I replied "we were told we could sit here but we are fine moving somewhere else it doesn't matter" he said "well I was misled then" we let him move us somewhere else because still at this point we had no issue. When we arrived to the next seat he got us our beverages and took our order. My friend ordered the crispy chicken bacon ranch sandwich with no tomato and no lettuce. To make it easy I said "I'll just order the same exact thing to keep it simple" Like 20 minutes later we get our food and it's a crispy chicken sandwich that has cheddar cheese on it and some weird type of barbecue sauce. This was definitely not what we ordered and frankly extremely unappetizing looking. I said "is this the ranch sandwich there's no ranch on it" Hunter said "you guys didn't order that you ordered this. The bacon ranch sandwich doesn't have tomato on it this one does so. There's no time to remake it so I'll just take it off then" obviously his tone was extremely irritated. My friend was like "what is with the attitude" and this was Hunters last straw clearly he said "learn how to read the fucking menu" Obviously this didn't sit well with our group, my boyfriend said "do you have a problem?" And Hunter so kindly said "do you want me to get my manager you little piece of shit? Don't come in when there's a wait" when like I said there was not even a wait it was slower than most restaurants on a Sunday. And the wait was never the problem it was his attitude and the food being incorrect. I jumped in and said "actually yes, we do need to see your manager, because we were extremely nice to you this entire experience and you've been completely unnecessary" I'm not sure where he ran off to but then the host kindly got the manager. We explained what happened, he did remake the sandwiches correctly which was nice of him to do and gave us 10% off, but honestly this was the craziest restaurant experience I've encountered and I've worked in 4. Our next server benji was awesome and if we had started this experience with him I know it would have been 100% better. The moral of the story is, if someone gets that thrown over the edge over something so silly AND fixable they should not be working in the service industry. I'm giving one star so my review gets published. We go there for dinner every Monday, but today, December 29th, we had the worst experience. They made us wait for over an hour for a table, then refused to serve us because supposedly the waiters were stressed. They denied us service because, according to them, we needed a reservation. Finally, they seated our children first, and the manager spoke to the young people in an aggressive and rude manner. There were teenagers and even younger children at that table, supposedly telling them that there were too many of us and that the waiters were stressed and refusing to serve us. The saddest and most upsetting thing is that they never addressed us as parents. It's the worst service I've ever had. The manager treated us in a discriminatory way, just because we were a large group. If they didn't want to serve us from the beginning, they shouldn't have made us wait over an hour in the waiting room for a table. I plan to go tomorrow to speak with the general manager. We are the customers, and we deserve respect. At all times we were respectful and accommodating, eager to have a table and dine with friends and our families! When one of my friends, the father of a minor, was at the table where the manager spoke rudely and arrogantly, saying that the way he had spoken to the young people was inappropriate, this manager began to raise his voice and shout, trying to make the other diners think that we were the rude ones. But we have more than one witness that this was not the case; we waited patiently and respectfully at all times. I dared to accuse them of discrimination, favoritism, and even racism! I had the Applebee's Riblets plate for lunch last week. It's a smaller and cheaper cost plate of the finest bbq riblets anywhere. I should of had the bigger and more expensive platter to take some home! ONLY $3 more than the plate. The plate though is perfect size for lunch and look forward to getting them again. This particular Applebees exceeded all expectations from our past experiences! I came in at 1 PM on a Friday afternoon. I sat at the bar and the lady was really nice and got me a water. She took my water and I got the brisket tacos with fries. My order came out within like 10 minutes. The fries were really hot which is really nice. The brisket was kind of interesting in the tacos. First of all the brisket was not all that hot and it kind of tasted like roast beef. Overall it was not too bad and I ate two out of three of the tacos and brought the other one home with me. Coming to this place for me is always hit and miss. Oh well, I do not come here very often. But when I do come here the food is just mediocre. My family and I have been going here for years. Maybe a few times a year. Each time has been a good experience. Hosts are always nice, welcoming. My mother and I favorite is the garlic Parmesan chicken things, it's sooooo good. We order it every time. We visited a few days ago, my mother, myself, and my 8yr old niece. I ordered their NEW mushroom burger. Omg it was soooo good. Fresh, the cooks did a great job! They were short staff yet still did a great job accommodating everyone. Our server was Alisha, she has served us before, she's always great with a positive attitude. Love her. The cooks that day were steffy, Cesar, and Kyle (I asked for the cooks name/s). Our beverages and food were tasty. Thank you. The training manager Kevin came over to check on how everything was. He was nice, everyone was on their best game. I hope they all get a raise, these workers I've named make that specific location enjoyable to dine at. I did not catch the Hosts name, I think there were 2 girls.
