on july 8th we had came to this location for a dinner we live 30 minutes away but we didn't care we decided to drive anyway we got at applebees at 11:20 and as soon as they saw our car they ran out and locked the door in our faces i dont think its right considering we had 40 minutes i know we came last minute but we were gonna order right away this DIDNT sit right with me as a restaurant owner myself i am always glad when a customer comes in no matter the timing i would never lock the door. They are losing money at this point and we will not be returning to this location ever. read more

We were a party of eight celebrating a birthday of our beloved aunt. One member of the family ordered an appetizer to share that had nacho chips and dip. The nachos were stale. It just so happened that the manager came around and introduced himself and asked all of us if we had any concerns. A family friend mentioned that the chips were stale. The manager said that they had been having issues with keeping them as fresh as they once were.The manager never mentioned anything about a refund or swapping the stale nachos with another appetizer. What was communicated to the manager was not for monetary gain but to inform him that the nachos were stale. Also, the birthday girl ordered Nachos with Beef after the appetizer arrived. Unfortunately, the same stale chips were used for her meal. She barely ate any of her meal. I felt bad for her because a senior citizen, on a fixed income, can not afford to waste their money on uneaten food. We were very disappointed in Applebees, especially since the manager asked for feedback, and just ignored our concern. We were willing to overlook the failing state of the building and the parking lot to spend more time together instead of traveling to Dayton. We were there to have a special family celebration and enjoy a nice meal. At least we enjoyed the company! read more

This Applebee's sits conveniently right of I-75 in Troy Ohio. What really stood out to me immediately at this Applebee's was our waitress. She was super fast, made sure that everyone was happy and was sooo very very friendly!!!! 5 stars for her!!!! Our dishes where ok. My entree was way overcooked. My broccoli was really mushy and the fish very very dry but since we had amazing service I didn't want to say anything. One person at our table sent her burger back since the meat was burnt almost black. The manager came up to the table, replaced the plate after only a very short wait and apologized to her. He was super nice as well. It showed that the staff cares. Overall I like the atmosphere at Applebee's but I always wished there was more light in the restaurant. read more

This Applebee's is one of the larger national chains along this road, located right next to a Walmart with a few other restaurants nearby. I stopped by for some late-night takeout, craving wings. Since it was a weeknight, the place was pretty quiet with just a few locals. They had TVs showing sports news, and their late-night happy hour menu offered some good deals. I ordered the bone-in wings with the classic buffalo sauce. They were a decent size and tasted fine-nothing out of the ordinary. The staff was polite, though their service felt a bit mechanical. With limited options open after 9 p.m. in the area, this is probably one of the better choices available for a quick bite. read more

I would have given negative stars if I could. What a terrible rip off. Ordered 2 Asian chicken salads and an order of boneless wings( plus an extra grilled chicken breast) for a total of 48$. The salads were only half of the size we usually get at our Applebee's at home. The container was less than half full... seriously! Maybe together the 2 equaled one salad. The boneless wings had no sauce. I ordered garlic Parmesan but they were DRY!!! Terrible experience. Too far away to return the meal otherwise I would hsve. To be fair I did call and spoke with Elliot a manager. Very understanding and apologetic. My experience at this Applebee's location was overall fine. I like the fact they have local high school pictures up around the restaurant, especially ones of the local marching bands. My meal was good. I ordered the grilled chicken breast with two sides of the homestyle cheesy broccoli instead of the two that usually come with the meal. Our waitress mentioned an up-charge for the cheesy broccoli as a side switch. I didn't realize she was going to charge us for the switch as additional separate premium sides, instead of the regular premium side up-charge. We arrived around 4:15 pm on a Saturday. We were seated and our order taken fairly quickly. We then waited 40 minutes on our food. Meanwhile, everyone in our section of the dining room had their coats on because it was really cold. Our server turned the heat up for us when we asked. My wife went to the ladies restroom and said there was only one stall working and it was out of TP. I went to the men's room before we left and turned around without using it. It was disgusting. I'm on a carnivore diet: meat, salt, water. No vegetables, no refined anything, no deep-fried anything. While I enjoy B dubs, I can't get that there. We have had some really bad experiences at Applebee's over the years. Not just one location. Pretty much every location we have ever gone to. We try and try again and it's just terrible service at them all and the food is really inconsistent. It's been a while. We went with family who wanted to go there. It wasn't bad this time to be honest. The service was decent. We were nervous when we first walked in because there was a really large group waiting and we stood there for at least 5 minutes looking around before anyone came out to greet us. The server was good. She was really nice and really pleasant and she was really attentive too. The food was good. Love the $3 Bahama Mama. So good. My grandmother and I had dinner tonight at this Applebee's as it's her favorite, and it was a very pleasant experience. The service staff were all very friendly from the moment we walked in and sat us right away. Our server was quick and attentive and immediately served our drinks. Grandma had the crispy shrimp and said it was the best she's had. My sirloin was cooked perfectly and the sides of broccoli and salad were fresh and great. My only small complaint was that the coffee that we both ordered was barely lukewarm and didn't taste fresh. But other than this small misstep this was one of the better Applebee's that I've visited. It would be nice if all Applebee's experiences were this nice as the company seems to be very hit and miss by location. read more

My wife and I have been to Applebee's in Troy twice recently. Once in Jan 2020 and once in Feb. Both times we left without eating because the food took longer than 45 minutes to be delivered to our table from the time it was ordered. Tables near us at which people arrived and ordered after us had their food served before us. We did not order anything special or exotic, just regular menu items. After our first disappointment we waited a couple of weeks and gave them a second chance. Same results. No third chance will be forthcoming. read more

Much better than my last review and other less than stellar experiences since. Lunchtime on a Friday - Seated immediately, Covid protocols being practiced and environment appeared VERY clean. Previous experiences predated a less than sanitary appearance and employees appeared trashy. Today, all employees were neat clean and professional. The food was plentiful, appealing and good. The server was ahead of schedule on refills and left the bill early to prevent and delay if we wished to leave quickly (on a lunch break). Overall - no complaints. We frequently eat at Applebee's. Each time our server has been very attentive. I have ordered the crispy chicken salad on a few occasions and the side salad on occasion. The salads are poor quality. The lettuce is skimpy and not fresh and crispy. The salad should be made with quality romaine lettuce. A better quality ranch dressing should also be available. read more

The Applebees in Troy, OH has to have the worst service of any location in their entire chain. Went there tonight about 5 pm and restaurant was less than half full. It took a few minutes to order our drinks (2 waters with lemon). After nearly 15 min and no drinks, we left. If it takes that long to get water, just couldn't imagine how slow the kitchen would be. I called today Friday December 17th at 330 for curbside service. The female said it would be ready at 3:51 so l was there prior to 3:40 and say there for over 20 minutes and no one came out for my money or my food. At first l thought that they may be very busy at this time on a Friday but i went thru the parking lot and noticed that there were 5 cars in the parking lot and thought WOW! How did they forget me? Christa C. was our server, she asked for drink order. I asked for water and a cocktail with meal. She took our order, brought both drinks at same time. We completed our appetizer, still waiting for drink refills. We asked for refills, she brought a beer for husband no water. Entree arrived, empty glasses and appetizer dishes were left on table. Husband ordered the all you can eat riblets. His first order came out on a huge plate with enough rib meat for a toddler and half the plate filled with cold fries. We asked for a second round of protein ( shrimp this time) took 25 minutes to receive the second round of protein. Which was also a joke, there were five shrimp on his plate with again half a plate full of fries. Each plate that came out was just stacked on corner of table. Christa seemed to have an issue with clearing dishes from the table. She never brought my water refill, we were at establishment for nearly two hours. Very poor service. We did car side pick up. We were supposed to pick up at 4:45. We got there, pulled into proper space, and sent text we were there. No one came out, so at 5:08 I went in. Was told to go to back, when I got there my food was sitting on railing. I got "oh yeah, sorry this is your Oder." So I get my food 25 minutes after it is done and still have a 10 minute drive home. Nothing like ordering over $100 of food, just to have to put it in microwave when you get home. Big disappointment. read more
