We'll my server was nice and such But my drink wasn't mixed up. The syrup was on bottom and warm. The lemonade was put on top and still had large pieces of ice in it. The appetizer was reheated as it had microwave splatters on the sides of the bowl and part of it was cool. I set up for an email receipt at the table side kiosk. The server returned with a receipt that had a different drink on it. The cost was the same but just seemed disorganized. I had a better experience at the other location in town. read more

The service at Applebees on a Friday night at 8:00 was great. Seated quickly, order taken promptly and food arrived in a timely fashion, Three disappointments. The steak was not the high quality steak that I would expect at Applebees. It was supposed to be topped with a garlic and butter sauce. Couldn't detect the sauce at all. The broccoli was bland. We had the worst experience ever! Went last night around 6:00ish. Lots of open tables, so it wasn't really that busy. My wife ordered shrimp & French fries...I ordered AYCE boneless wings & French fries. They brought my wife's food out, but mine was nowhere in sight. 15 minutes go by, and finally our waiter, Miquel, brings out my boneless wings but no French fries! He says the French fries "are in the way." Well, I ate my boneless wings and still no French fries! He says he'll put in an order for more wings to come out with my French fries. 5 minutes later he come up to me and says "I'm going to hold off putting in your order for more wings until the kitchen can catch up." SERIOUSLY?!?! At that point I said just bring us our check...we're done. He proceeded to bring our check FOR THE FULL ANOUNT! He never offered to discount our meal since I never got my French fries (over an hour lapsed during this time). I demanded to see a manager. Michele comes over and weakly apologizes for the bad service. She then offered to give me another gift card! I told her I didn't want free food or another gift card since I would never ever come back! I gave her our $50 gift card (which more than covered our full-price meal) and told her she could do whatever she wants with the leftover money. What a horrible, horrible experience. Don't waste your time or money going to this restaurant!!! My family and I went to the N. Glenstone location, and the food was terrible. I ordered a pasta alfredo with chicken dish. .. the alfredo sauce tasted like they just combined flour and milk and poured it over the pasta. . . .yuk!!! Another person in our party ordered steak and it was tough. Applebee's is one place I'll not go again!!! read more

My family goes here a lot! At least 2 times a mo , good food,good staff, kinda smells sometimes , needs to be cleaner ,clean tables! Great soup! Turkey sandwich meat kinda fatty! Over all good tho. Bar tinder is amazing! ( the brunette gal) read more

I would like to say that before this visit I had always enjoyed going to Applebee's and enjoyed the food and environment very much. However, this last visit GREATLY disappointed me. Because the seating was full when we went, my husband and I sat at the bar. The bartender was neither warm not helpful when it came to ordering. When we said we wanted drinks (she never asked if we did even after ordering our food) she took my husband's order then walked away to get it and didn't bother to ask for mine at all. Our waters were not refilled for at least 15 minutes as no one came by to check on us. Our bartender spent most of her time leaning over the bar talking with another patron, leaving her help to finish out our order. When our food came out, the manager brought it and didn't hang around to listen to our comments. The food was unexciting and nothing I could not have made at home for less. The brisket nachos had only three SMALL pieces of meat and two very sloppily cut pieces (I should say chucks) of jalapeño. It honestly looked like the kitchen staff couldn't have cared less about the plating. The floor staff also spent most of their time loitering by the bar talking about the patrons while in our earshot. We were only asked once how we were doing the entire time. In all, it was an extremely unpleasant visit and it saddens me because I usually enjoy Applebee's so much. read more

We decided to eat at Applebee's on the North side of Springfield on Saturday the 26th of September. It was around 5:30 to 6 pm when we arrived at the restaurant only to find that they were having a "Car Show" in their parking lot and surrounding restaurants parking lots. Because of this we expected it to be crowded but decided to stay and eat anyway. After a 45 minute wait, which we were told would be 20 minutes, we were finally seated at a very low table in the bar section of the restaurant. There were people all around the bar filtering over closely toward our table, as though they were going to join us for dinner. On all of the other tables they had a trivia/menu machine but our table was, as the waitress called it an "Add-in" and did not have this machine. All we had on our table was a mismatched salt and pepper shaker...no silverware or napkins, and the table was sticky. The noise in the restaurant was so loud that it felt like a rock concert was going on, making it impossible for my husband and I to have any type of dinner conversation. The waitress came over and offered us a special cocktail and to take our drink order, but at this point we were starving and ready to eat, therefore we ordered our meal. It took another 45 minutes to get our meal to the table. I had ordered a medium rare bourbon street steak and my husband ordered shrimp. This meal was a 2 for 25 dollars selection and came with an appetizer of Spinach/Artichoke dip and chips. When we received the appetizer, it had very few chips and an extremely small bowl of Spinach/artichoke dip with hardened post-melted cheeses lump on top. Salsa also accompanied this appetizer. We were so hungry that we ate the cold dip and sparse chips and salsa. Upon waiting another 25 minutes we finally received our meals. Unfortunately my medium rare steak was well done and my mashed potatoes were ICE cold. My husband's dinner was also cold. When we told the waitress that the dinner was sub-par she offered to remake it. We refused because it had taken so long to get the dinner in the first place. We di not want to wait another 25 minutes to get another unacceptable meal. We have eaten at Applebee's on the South side of Springfield many time and have NEVER experienced this horrible food and crowded, loud, lowbrow atmosphere. If we decide to go to Applebees again it will be on the South side of Springfield and not the North Glenstone store. To sum it up...the food was uneatable, the waitress was uninterested and slow and the atmosphere was much like a biker bar that was over crowded. I will not go back to this Applebee's. read more
