The food was OK. The oriental grilled chicken salad was good and the grilled chicken was especially good. The ribs were just OK and didn't seem fresh and neither did the fries. Seemed like the fries had been sitting a while. The chips and spinach artichoke dip were excellent. Our server Connor was excellent, but the host was just OK. They set us next to a table with four adults and a baby and the adults were loud as well as the baby. The restaurant was a little more than half full and we asked to sit in another section that was more quieter, but keep Connor as our server and they only offered us to be right behind the baby. It seems like the management didn't have a system in place or haven't trained their people. Well enough to be able to be flexible to keep customers happy. The food was OK and it is very reasonably priced. We don't expect to be coming back here. read more

Our waitress was an absolute sweetheart and very on top of things, wish I remembered her name to give her a shoutout, we were there 7-25-25 during the evening and she was blonde! The food was great too, I finished every bite and the prices felt like a steal, two entrees and an huge appetizer for $28 since I upgraded my entree. The mozzarella sticks were perfection, my drink tasted strong and delicious. My only side point is my chicken was supposed to come with onions and mushrooms and while I had plenty of delicious onions I legitimately only got a singular mushroom. Still the sauce and everything was delicious! Will definitely be back. The vibes were on point, thanks Applebees read more

Had the spinach dip with chips. Only a handful of chips and the dip only lukewarm. Tried the new Grilled Cheese burger. Came with very small bowl of tomato soup. Ok the burger was good but the already teeny size bowl was only 1/4 full. Unlike the false advertisement on TV and the false advertisement picture on the menu! Which showed a full bowl. Also the soup was only lukewarm. Also had one of the holiday alcohol drinks. The red one. Santa Sleigh i think it was called. Well it was good. So because of that and the pleasant bartender, the young lady with yellow glasses, is why I gave an extra star. read more

Hanna is great and honest about what they have that's good that day on the menu. We were traveling for business and looking at the area restaurants on a Tuesday just decided to hit up a corporate restaurant (that I usually never go to). Really wanting steak or a good carnivore heavy meal I ordered the Ribeye, garlic mash and Mac. Also got buffalo wings plus spinach dip. Hanna checked with the manager about what items looked good thanks Hanna! that day. All was great and priced well below the other area restaurant choices. Keep in mind we came in at 3:30pm. Games on the TV...killer 1973 soundtrack playing. Best of all was the outstanding service provided be Hanna. She's gonna get swept away by a high end establishment soon. Or maybe Applebees will promote her to train other employees. | read more

Poor service and terrible food. Most patrons had cold food, raw food, and poor quality. Bourbon Street Chicken and Shrimp had no sauce, no mushrooms not as good as last month, I had the same order. read more

Decided to stop in on thanksgiving "evening" was one of the only places open. It was extremely packed and there was a limited menu. I just got a burger and fries, kid got tenders "as always" wife got riblets. Took a bit for ours and the table who came in 15 minutes after us got their food at the same time. Burger was okay, kids tenders were dry, and their ribs tasted like a McRib from McDonald's. Sauce was gross with tiny bones ewww... waters were had and we still walked out paying $40. Won't be headed back there any time ever. read more

If I could I would give them a negative 5 . I only came because it was better than going to get fast food at the moment. I should've stuck with fast food. Applebee's Grill + Bar - Ordered medium on steak so raw uneaten - Sports Bars Near Me - Springfield, Missouri

All was perfect. I ordered the blackened salmon and loved every bite. It had a perfect crust and was still moist on the inside. The mashed potatoes were good and the broccoli was excellent. It had a bit of a crunch and was seasoned perfectly. The Blue Moons we drank came in cold beer mugs with juicy orange wedges and the desert we experienced was top notch. Some sort of apple, caramel, ice cream dream. We loved everything we ate. However our server Jordan really made our experience amazing. He was friendly, professional, and efficient. He didn't just take our order, he gave us suggestions and offered specials. He was so good I just knew he was not only very experienced but also in charge of training new servers and sure enough, I was right. All in all this was the perfect experience for us. So much so, we will now consider eating at Applebees when we see other locations. read more

I have eaten at Applebee's for over 10 years and you now can no longer even order a "Baked Potato" with a burban street steak ... no longer can get thousand island dressing on a salad. I realize we are going through challenging time with Covid but they are doing anything they can to put themselves Out of business compared to the value I used to get when eating out with Applebee's. Respectfully the world has changed for the worse. read more

We ordered from here because it was walking distance from our hotel and they were open late (11pm). We ordered online which was very easy and then we picked up. When we got to the room we had no utensils napkins or condiments. We ordered the two for $24 which was the riblet platter, spinach artichoke dip appetizer, and fiesta lime chicken. The spinach artichoke dip seem like it was heated in the microwave and burnt on the top and the rice on the fi slim chicken tasted burnt and the riblets were hard and chewy. We also ordered the chicken nachos and the chicken and broccoli fettuccine Alfredo. For the chicken nachos, there was not enough cheese to pour over the nachos since it came separately. I think the worst plate was the chicken and broccoli fettuccine Alfredo because it was insanely salty. It tasted as if I had swallowed ocean water. Unfortunately, this was our daughters meal. We were starving so we ate this disgusting food. The only good thing out of it was that they had a special that for every $25 you got a free ticket to see top gun maverick through Fandango so I'll take that as compensation for eating the disgusting food. read more

I don't know why I thought that the North Glenstone location was any different than Nixa's. The person seating us acted like it was putting him out to seat us. He sat us at a dirty table, then we were completely ignored. I will never eat at any Applebee's ever again. read more

I used to have an Applebee's in my neighborhood in Scottsdale AZ and it was really quite good. We went there 3-4 times a month and never had a complaint. So I'm traveling thru MO and Applebee's is across the street from our hotel. Big mistake. We had blackened salmon which was over cooked and not tasty and we had bourbon chicken and shrimp. The. Hi Ken was dry and tough. A big thumbs down to this Applebee's read more

Had dinner here with family members and although we were seated right away the server was not as friendly nor courteous or attentive. We ordered half ribs with salad and shrimp on the side. The other folks ordered Chicken Strips and chicken/shrimp. Our half rack ribs came and we had to inquire about our salads and shrimp. So it wasn't just the fact that our meal came to the table in stages but it was served across a bannister and we were not offered refills until we were leaving plus the dishes were not cleared off the table as we finished our meal. Ugh!!! Oh did I mentioned dessert was not even addressed. Simply put it felt like a goodbye from the minute we sat. Not sure if I'll come back :( read more

As a traveling sales consultant on the road late night meals and service can be tough at times. Last night I had the opportunity to visit the Springfield location and was blown away. Below is a quick list of things I loved... -Host was friendly and had a smile right as we walked in - Restaurant was busy multiple sports games on and bar area was fun - Food was fresh and are server blakely helped us with drink specials as well as reccomendations as we were looking for something healthy - Salmon was fantastic as well as the broccoli and green beans - Manager was walking around visiting tables and seemed like she was on her toes at all times Finally I'd like to send a special note about our server Blakely. As I mentioned above he was great with our orders. He also was great with his check ins and asking us questions about what had brought us in and a little bit about our business. I thought the best part of our interactions with him were they always ended with "alright guys i gotta get back to my tables". He was a tremendous kid and i will visit another Applebees on the road with the hopes that it brings half the experience I had at this one. I really hope someone sends him a note and thanks him for the job he is doing for you guys. Alex Plungis read more

I brought my wife and 9 year old daughter for lunch today. To begin, the hostess offered us a high top table, which is quite unusual with a child. After requesting, we were seated in a booth, but unfortunately one of the bartenders was our server. After taking our order, we never saw her again. I ate my burger and fries dry with no condiments because she never came to check on us, and never got a refill on my drink. The bartender was just too busy to wait tables. The food was just OK. read more

The bartender Shylla was awesome. Provided excellent service and suggested a great karaoke bar in town for me to visit.

I had the bourbon street steak which I order all the time at several different applebees. This one was over cooked and did not have much flavor. I gave 3 stars because my water was in a clean cup and the staff was really attentive. The weather was bad so they were most likely short staffed. I'm not thrilled about paying the price for a steak when it was tough and not very good. Next time I'll skip applebees and try somewhere else. I could of said something and probably gotten a discount or apology. But I was too tired and it wasn't worth speaking up. read more

I understand during pandemic that mistakes happen, but serving incorrect food that I wouldn't feed a stray is ridiculous. We ordered 2 of the $19.99 Ribeye specials and when they came they were grey in color, one side had grill marks, and while mine was severely under cooked, my girlfriend's was slightly over cooked. Hers tasted like rubber, and her salad had tomatoes in it when ordered with out. Looked as if they finger blasted the salad looking for the tomatoes and forgot a few hidden gems. My question is a 2 part one, 1) How does a so called cook think that slop is acceptable to give to waiter, 2) How does the waiter deliver grey matter to customers and think it's edible? Totally grossed out and will NEVER go to a Crapplebees again. read more

My experience here at this Applebees was a good one. I was greeted immediately when I first walked in and I choose to sit at the bar because I was by myself. The bartender, Ronda, was quick to help me and asked me what I would like to drink while offering me a menu. I can't remember the name of my dish but I ordered the steak (medium rare), a shrimp topper with a lemon butter sauce that went on top of he steak and the sides I got was broccoli and mashed potatoes. My steak was cooked perfectly and the broccoli was fresh an not over cooked. Overall, my experience was a good one here and better than expected after reading the negative reviews in Yelp. Next time I am in town, I might just have to stop by again. read more

My husband and I had a gift card for $25 so we wanted to use that. Neither of us had been in an Applebee's in ages, so this was kinda fun for us. We were surprised by the little screens on the tables that had games & such. Our server was super friendly; I wish I could remember his name. Young guy, super nice. We ordered off the 2 for $20 menu (which comes with an appetizer now!!!). We got the onion rings which were piping hot and delicious. My entree was grilled chicken with beer cheese topper and garlic green beans with garlic mashed potatoes. My husband ordered the cavatapi pasta. Mine was pretty good. The mashed potatoes were great. The green beans were a little weird. The chicken was good though. My husband says his was alright. They also have $1 margaritas currently so he has 2 of those, and we bought the unlimited games for $1.99. We also ordered 2 little desserts: a hot fudge & ice cream shooter and a brownie bite with ice cream. Those were delicious!! We had a ton of fun, even if the food was just standard chain food. I was impressed by how quick the food came out, and we were able to pay on the little tablets on the tables. All in all, good experience! read more
