We were celebrating my grandsons 7th birthday on a Saturday evening. Every place we called had more than an hour wait. We called Applebees and they had a table for all 9 of us. The food was okay but the reason for this review is because of our phenomenal waitress. Her name is Yami. She was awesome. She made our experience amazing. She kept checking on us and made sure she let us know what was going on with our order. I forgot to mention the desserts were amazeballs. I'd never been to an Applebee's but since this new one opened up nearby hubby and I decided to try it out for lunch since he was off on the rare weekday. We got there around 11:30 and the place was still pretty empty and were seated in the bar area. My first impression was that I liked the feel of the place, it was open and bright and I loved the music. Hubby and I had already checked out the menu before heading out for lunch so we were pretty certain of what we were going to order but after about 15 minutes we had no server approach us so it felt like things weren't starting well and after watching a server stand by the bar chatting with the bartender as she casually sipped on her drink I was getting a bit frustrated. I finally went over to the hostess who sat us and asked her if their was a server assigned to our section and she apologized and went to get them. A few moments later, Desmond, our server came to the table and kept apologizing for the mix up. First off, I've managed a busy restaurant so I fault the hostess for failing to tell the server he had a table, it was absolutely not our server's fault. Desmond got our drinks and meal orders and lunch arrived pretty quickly after that. I ordered the one of the lunch combos - Chicken Tortilla Soup and Oriental Chicken Salad and hubby went with the Clubhouse Grill. As soon as I looked at my meal I knew there was a problem, the salad mainly consisted of an excessive amount of Crispy Chinese noodles, a mediocre portion of the Asian greens and there was no chicken anywhere. I decided to eat my soup until I could get our server back to the table but was sadly disappointed. I absolutely love Chicken Tortilla Soup but this barely had any flavor and the lunch portion bowl wasn't even very full and there were a couple of crispy tortilla strips kind of muddled in, after adding quite a bit of salt and pepper it was edible but clearly this soup is not made on premises, it tasted like it came out of a can. Another server brought out a monkey dish filled with cut up chicken tenders for the salad, apologizing that it was left on the line, while the serving was a nice portion I would have preferred if the chicken had been tossed into the salad so it would have the flavor of the dressing which, like the other important ingredients, was sparse (I had to get Desmond to bring me some extra). My husband really enjoyed his Clubhouse Grill and I really like the fries, they're flatter like a dinner fry but not quite as thick - crispy and very tasty. One other thing I would like to mention that I really felt was shady, they have these little computer/tablets on the table for ordering and games but at no point, until you've already committed, does it tell you that to play it costs $1.99 - total scam considering a child could quickly start playing with it and incur the charge without their parent's knowledge (until the bill arrives that is). There were a lot of servers on the floor and the restaurant did get busier while we were there but there were an awful lot of employees just standing around doing nothing. I did appreciate that the manager came to the table at the end of the meal to make sure we enjoyed everything but at that point we had already paid and were ready to get out of there. Our server Ashely was so friendly and upbeat. She was very helpful and accommodating, as was the manager. The beer cheese and pretzels are incredible and you can't beat a $1 margarita! My roommates and I had a blast, however the host could've been a bit nicer. read more

The bartender named Lola is the best part about this place. You can immediately tell that this isn't her first rodeo, she makes drinks like fireball whisky lemonade, bourbon and berries and raspberry cosmos. I'm not a big cocktail guy but these drinks I can drink any day! the only thing better than the drinks was sitting and talking with her. Overall great person with an animated personality. Perfect for the environment she's in! I've been to plenty of Applebee's before but I'd make this place a regular outing. read more

We have been there three times since grand opening and had issues on each visit. First visit it either was freezing cold or overwhelming hot. Asked the server and she said they keep trying to get the temperature correct. (Still the same on visit two and three). Second visit they a had a small band that was good but so loud we could not hear the couple from across the table. My wife's pork chop came out stone cold ..... she had the waitress feel it was well. She totally apologized but it wasn't her fault. The couple we were with ordered a Long Island ice tea and it never arrived. Said something to the waitress and she informed us that they gave it to the wrong table. The third visit my daughter ordered the Mac and chicken. The noodles had no taste and the chicken was bland. Said something to the server and she said that a lot of customers use salt to give it flavor. Sigh .....employees were nice. read more

What a difference a month makes. Must be under new management because the service and food were phenomenal. The General Manager came up and greeted us and made sure everything was great, which it was. So much better than any other Applebee's I have been too. SNAPS to great food, great atmosphere and great service. Can't wait to go back! The outdoor seating is amazing! read more

Ordered car side to go. Clicked arrival email when I got to restaurant. Received email confirmation our order was ready & would be right out. 10 minutes later, another car pulled in. Waitress came out to their car first, then mine and asked my name. When she returned 5 minutes later she asked me what I ordered. When I told her, she responded "I think I saw that." 10 minutes later, she brings my drink, no food. More time, then finally brings out food and says she needs to get my check. (I paid online) Another 5 minutes. By this time it is 30 minutes past the time the order was supposed to picked up. To make matters worse, when I got home, all our food was cold & inedible. The "well-done" burger was bleeding; the onion rings were rock hard; the chicken was not done, and the tacos were soggy, sloppy and looked like mush. Needless to say, $56 of food went in the trash. Very disappointed. There are too many restaurants in this area to waste my money and time there. read more

for an Applebees, the decor was pretty nice and they even had a live band... nice touch for a chain. now the food was not bad if i simply want a burger and beer. they definitely pride themselves on keeping a decent stock of craft beers for beer snobs like myself. anything beyond a burger is just...."meh" to me... however the service was incredible. both times i got service from a bartender named, Lola. she actually knew her stuff...and kept the energy high. both times i let her surprise me with a drink... and both times i was pleasently surprised. Seems like this applebees did a great job with thier drink menu options. wish she could always be my bartender... perhaps at a place with better food choices. read more

We used to go to the Towson Applebee's here and there but the service was almost always terrible and the meals were always inconsistently made so we stopped going to this restaurant chain. Since the White Marsh location just opened my girlfriend and I thought we'd give it a second chance. Our server was attentive but the food was another story. My girlfriend ordered Fish and Chips and I ordered the Bourbon Street Chicken and Shrimp which we've both had many times previously at other Applebee's. My girlfriends food arrived about 8 minutes before mine so she was halfway done before mine arrived. That wouldn't have been a big deal except my food was made improperly and was barley warm. The dish was completely missing the fried onions and mushrooms (which are the best part of the dish, believe it or not) and the chicken, shrimp, and potatoes were just warm when they are supposed to be sizzling on the skillet they're served on. Also, the portion of potatoes was tiny. This dish costs $18. My girlfriend said her Fish and Chips were okay but not worth $14. The music was very loud and it was difficult to have a conversation - it was like being in a club. I noticed when going to the restroom that the volume was much more reasonable for the tables around the perimeter so I suppose we were seated in the bar area (no choice was given to us). I should have probably complained to the manager about the food but I just wanted to get out of there and I get nervous that an angry employee would do something to my food.
