    We won trivia!

I haven't been to D&B in years but we decided to go for trivia night and what a treat! Tyisha was our server/bartender and she was great! They've also updated the food since the last time I was there and this new menu is a hit! I had a chicken bowl and it was delicious. The mozzarella sticks were pretty tasty as well. We also played trivia and won! The inside was clean and they have comfy chairs at the bar. Can't wait to go back for another round of trivia :)

If you concentrate hard enough, you can hear the screams of hell buried beneath all the noise, noise, noise of music and game sounds. Thankfully we were able to find a low, accessible table in a large room, in the corner where the cacophony wasn't very noticeable. There were still plenty of televisions to view, if you're into sports or whatever is available for your viewing pleasure - I think one of the televisions was playing "Sex in the City," which I did not expect. The token system is confusing and expensive. It took about 40 minutes to plow through $42 worth of tokens. They played Halo, a couple driving games, Terminator, and at least one partially broken shooter. One of the Skeeball lanes was also broken, and took tokens but didn't provide any balls. All the adults had cocktails. Jeremy had a CAPTAIN'S PASSION (Captain Morgan® Original Spiced Rum, passion fruit puree & fresh citrus mix) and I had CARIBBEAN LUXE LIT (1800® Reposado Tequila, Grey Goose® Vodka, Bacardí® Rum, Grand Marnier®, mango puree, fresh citrus mix & cranberry juice.) Both were fantastic. For dinner I had the CHICKEN CANTINA NACHOS (Grilled chicken layered with queso blanco, black beans, roasted corn, fresh pico de gallo, jalapeños, cilantro & ancho lime crema.) While it is only an appetizer, there was more than enough to satisfy. I ended up bringing some of it home because Jeremy wasn't in arm's reach at the table to help himself. Jeremy had the BUSTER'S BACON BURGER (Generously topped with applewood smoked bacon, American cheese, bacon jam, lettuce, tomato, onion, pickles & house-made bacon aioli on a toasted potato bun) minus the lettuce. Instead of fries he had a salad with "stupifyingly hard croutons that wouldn't even go onto the fork." He still managed to eat it all. Our 12-year-old dinner companion enjoyed his DOUBLE PEPPED UP ON A FLATBREAD (Crispy mini & jumbo pepperoni, 5-cheese blend, rustic marinara, parmesan & oregano.) so much that his grandparents ordered him a second one to go. The grandparents were less than pleased with their meals. The seasoned fries were not a hit. Both agreed that they would have been better with just salt. The CRISPY HAWAIIAN CHICKEN SANDWICH (Crispy marinated chicken breast dressed with pineapple slaw, shredded romaine, garlic aioli, Sriracha drizzle & Huli-Huli glaze on a King's Hawaiian® bun) didn't have enough slaw or flavor. Perhaps replacing the slaw with a simple slice of pineapple would be a better choice. The ALL-AMERICAN CHEESEBURGER (Two slices of American cheese topped with fresh lettuce, tomato, onions, pickles, & secret sauce on a potato bun) was so lackluster that she only ate half of it and couldn't interest anyone in finishing it for her. We were there for Trivia, which was super fun, even if I got most of the answers wrong. I have never been good with history, or sports. We left before the game was over because one of our phones died, and the weather was questionable. We did have a splendid time, even if the food wasn't extraordinary. Three out of five of us liked it well enough. It's definitely a place for younger people, and not really a place I would recommend for a meal alone.

Happy Hour drink options from 4-7 and 10-Close include Blackberry Lemonade, Wine, Three Tequila Margarita and drafts.

My favorite of all the Dave and Busters I have visited so far, it's focused on bringing a classic arcade style action and features a few games I really enjoy. This location has several games which I don't see often, including one of my all time favorites H2Overdrive. They have recently moved a few classics I enjoyed off of the arcade floor but there is plenty of fun to be had. Daytona USA Championship is always fun and is one of a few 4 player racing options available. The bartenders have all been very nice and helpful from my experience. The drink selections for happy hour include a margarita, long island iced tea and lemonade which are all pretty decent for getting in the party mood. Food options have improved significantly over the years at D&B, but I stick to appetizers for the most part. Typically I won't eat at the arcade but I did enjoy a free Papi Chulo Queso appetizer from my D&B rewards on my most recent trip and while it was missing a few ingredients at 11 PM on a Wednesday, the cheese had a strong cilantro flavor and went very well with our drinks. I do see that a few games could use some TLC like adjusting the aim on Elevator Action (another great game) but the staff seemed very attentive keeping everything clean and claw machines stocked. Any malfunctions mentioned by customers were addressed quickly by staff. The ticket redemption section had options I haven't seen at other D&B's and I ended up getting a few stuffed toys. They were assembling a new human crane machine which replaced their VR roller coaster, so it appears they are renovating to add even more entertainment options. All in all, a fun way to wind down after hitting IKEA and getting a dinner in the area, will be back many times in the future!

In essence Dave and busters is a good time. Reminds me of the arcade nostalgia of the 90's but pricing just makes it all too unbearable to fully enjoy. A $50 game card might get you 45 minutes of play time for 1 person on an average night. This doesn't include food. Spare yourself and go on 1/2 price Wednesday, when pricing is more like it should be. GLOWS: -A good variety of Games -The service at this bar was quick and efficient GROWS: -All games don't provide some kind of ticket for achievement, so there is even less chance that you will be able to pick a quality prize after spending so much money. -They used to have a dessert prize option which was a nice touch, not sure if they still have that option -($3 for an apple juice box was not fun. After tip, it was $5+ for a 6oz juice drink.) -There should be more hand sanitizer stations around the space considering how much touching and germ spreading there is. -The bar seats could use some reupholstering TIP: Park at the D&B entrance if you plan to be around after the mall closes or you will not be able to get out and have to walk around the parking lot

The first waitress that I had, she was really professional, took quite a while because the establishment was extremely busy. The food came and the appetizers were absolutely delicious. Sorry, I did not take a picture of those, but I did take pictures of the rest of the food that we ordered at the table. The only issue that I did have was with the Cajun shrimp pasta. It was supposed to come with shrimp and sausage , and when the plate came, there was no sausage in it. I contacted the waiter that I saw and asked him what was the reason behind it not being any sausage in the dish.He went back in the kitchen, and informed them that there was no sausage in the dish. He was told that the establishment was out of sausage. My Granddaughter wanted to add bacon, and the young man that was next to the table bussing the table said that he would look for the waiter. He informed me that I would probably be charged oh she's gone. It's a new one she gone. It's a new waiter, and he didn't know what was going on. . They really messed up on this order. I said to him it should be no charge because we were allowed to order this and on the menu it says shrimp and sausage, but when the food arrived, it wasn't the same dish that I ordered. About 20 minutes into the meal , a young lady came out with a cocktail cup full of bacon to put on the food. I couldn't believe it! I'm dying to get the bill to see what they charge for this cocktail cup full of bacon on the receipt. The manager did come out. I informed her of what happened and she's like "oh what do you want, a new pasta"? I said absolutely not, I just want to know that the bacon will be put on the dish and she won't be charged for it. Somebody called over the walkie-talkie, and she left She did tell me that there was a new server. He's the one that's going to be handling everything, and she walked away. I felt that was very unprofessional I don't even know what else to say. Well, it gets better! The waiter that waited on us was gone for quite a while so we ended up sitting at the table for almost an hour total waiting on containers, and the check. The waiter was told cash payment, he took the money, dropped $22 off to me with no receipt. He didn't come back for 25 minutes, and I had to ask another young lady to find him with the containers and my receipt. He dropped off the containers and a bag, and was gone another 20 minutes. Had to ask the same lady for my receipt. The receipt only reflected the food, not the 20% gratuity I paid. Waiter stated that he couldn't get the receipt to reflect the gratuity. Went to the counter, explained about the receipt, waiter was called over, everyone was puzzled as to why he did the receipt like that, he offered to give the $28 back, I told him no. Just needed my receipt to reflect what I paid. The manager Tony J. Asked how could he make it right, and he apologized for the inconvenience. He filled out the receipt and attached his card. This was not a good experience for me, but it's a plus that the manager realized it, and did his best to correct it.

Empty restaurant but almost 2 hours delay in service.

Service - the absolute WORST service I have ever received in my 36 years of life. Service so BAD that I'm going to end up calling maybe the central office in the morning of 2/26/2025. My 22 month old baby girl and I stepped in to have dinner at 7:05pm. For 32 minutes NO ONE came to ask for our order. I had to walk to the bar and place an order. As I am making this review the time is currently 8:34pm and my salad just came in, not even the main dish, that's a 1 HOUR & 30 MINS WAIT. It's RIDICULOUS. This is a Tuesday night, NOT a busy night and a lot of empty chairs and tables. No excuse for such an absurd service.

Thursday night after 8? Perfect time to go to D&B! Not a lot of people! There were only a few games that were either out of order or malfunctioning and should've been put out of order. I usually don't eat when I go to a D&B but I'm glad I did this time because the Pepperoni Flatbread hit the spot! Nothing fancy or major. It just did its job. The bartender was cool. It was something cool to do on a weeknight.

Food was 5 stars. Great food and service. Fabulous waitress. We walked all around to find someone to put money on the card. For some reason we paid for food with credit but couldn't for the games. Finally found a nice gentleman staff and he told us to go back our waitress. Bathrooms need a little attention. The auto flushing wasn't working. Buttons to twist is on the right, y'all.

1.5 hours drive from DC, and they charge you over $19 for a gin and tonic. That's utterly insane, even in DC -- much less White Marsh.

The Chicken Parmesan sandwich I had last night was on point and my girlfriend had a very good chicken quesadilla as well. Prices are pretty reasonable. My only beef is with the service. The bar is a little "cliquey" from several observations. The regulars seem to get waited on immediately and a newcomer gets a "I'll be right with you". No placemats, no silverware, no napkins seems to be the norm. Had to ask for ketchup when my fries came out after getting chips by mistake. We will most likely go back though, especially since The Bird River Inn changed their whole menu and did away with most of our favorite menu items. Everything is smoked now and very salty. If you're looking for ambience, you may want to try somewhere else. The Dugout is a hole in the wall dive bar and has been for decades...just the way the regulars like it!

They have one pool table where APA league members usually play, a shuffle board, and a number of TVs for sports games (although they are not HD). I could tell this was a local go-to for many of the customers at this bar especially since they all seemed to know each other. Our bartender was very friendly with helping us decide what to order. We got the Belly Buster Fried Fish sub ($8.99), with a side of fries (an extra $2) and Italian Cold Cut ($9.50), with a side of chips (free), along with a Loose Cannon ($5.00) & Grapefruit Crush ($6.00). The subs were pretty good. The fried cod (I believe it was) was nice and crispy and the tartar sauce paired perfectly to cut the richness of the grease. The portion was definitely money's worth. The cold cuts in my sub were fresh. There was enough acid to not make the bread soggy. The grapefruit crush was very icy. I noticed the bartender made it by blending a grapefruit fruit cup with ice and some grapefruit-vodka. When I was done with my first drink, she poured the rest of the mixture from the blender into my glass, which I thought was very nice. All in all, dugout tavern is a hidden gem that has great food and service. There is also parking on site and outdoor seating.

"Why did it have to snow tonight?! We're stuck in this hospital...when we should be following that…read moremonster's trail," Roberto DaCosta (Sunspot) shook with anger as he expressed a desire to seek revenge against who or what attacked their teammate, Danielle Moonstar, leaving her on an operating table on the brink of death. "Waste o' time, Bobby, you won't find the critter there," Sam Guthrie (Cannonball), the oldest of the teenagers that make up the New Mutants, responded, "It'll be here." "What are you talking about, Sam? Explain yourself!" "Stands t' reason, ever since we've known her, Dani's had a special fear of a spirit bear she said murdered her parents. None of us really really gave the story much credit, after all who believes in magic?" Sam paused oh so slightly before continuing. " 'Cept Illyana's a real witch, an' we fought demons and sorceresses. Maybe Dani wasn't kidding." Sam shifted his tone to reveal his evidence. "Illyana tells me Dani spent the last week or so in the Danger Room fighting bears! T'night, she walked out into a [winter] storm, alone, armed with a bow an' arrows an' wearing war paint! And got mauled. We were wrong t' doubt her. We should'a listened, we should'a seen the signs." Whenever my wife and I visit a restaurant or bar for the first time, whether we are there by ourselves or--in this case--treated to a meal by our favorite neighbors--I can count on her to sort through, heed, and pick up on every nuance in every aspect of culinary service that is there to be sensed. In this case, at the Dockside Restaurant & Sports Bar at 421 Deale Road in Maryland, the food was mostly wonderful, and the prices were more than reasonable for this economy. What prevents Dockside from receiving at least four stars was primarily the service. Two orders of fries, one sweet potato and one regular, weren't hot; and although our waitress reluctantly brought one of the orders back to exchange it for a new batch, the fries didn't taste any warmer. Our other host ordered his crabcake lightly-fried, only for it to be brought out broiled. He still enjoyed it, but it wasn't exactly what he wanted or ordered. By the end of the meal, it became obvious that, if we return, we need to ask for Sarah, who, although she was tending the bar and wasn't even our waitress, still brought one of our neighbors a fresh cup of Pepsi Zero that she could take on our return trip home. Sarah also exhibited a great sense of humor, an attentiveness and an attention to detail, and, most importantly, remembered with pleasure our hosts, who have dined there frequently. Apart from the pumpkin cheesecake, which was so infused with nutmeg and pumpkin spice that even Linus from Peanuts couldn't have tasted the pumpkin, and the lukewarm fries, our meals were terrific. I devoured the perfectly-seasoned shrimp from the fried shrimp platter; everyone loved their onion rings and their cream of crab and Maryland crab soups; and we all agreed that the crabcakes, boiled and fried, were scrumptious.

My friend hosted a happy hour there, and I love when events like that introduce you to new spots. The drink specials were honestly amazing with $6 drinks, which is hard to beat. The food specials ended at 7 while the drink specials continued until 8, so I was a little bummed to miss out on that. One thing to note if you're ordering food, the four cheese pizza comes with burrata, which I didn't realize ahead of time. I'd definitely come back to try more of the food, especially the flatbreads since they seem to have a lot of good options. That said, I don't think the staff was fully prepared for the size of our group. My friend brought around 60 people on a Friday night, and it was clear the servers were overwhelmed. At times, it took over 10 minutes just to place an order. I don't necessarily think that's the norm, so I'd be open to coming back during a regular happy hour to get a better feel for the service. Great size bar as well.

Pappas in Cockeysville came up in a couple of influencers' lists, so we made the 1 1/2 hour drive north to experience it for ourselves. We arrived at 11:30 on a Sunday morning and chose to sit on the restaurant side (versus the sports bar side). Our meal started with soft rolls right out of the oven and vinegar-y cucumbers. My wife had some them while I passed on them for I don't like cucumbers. Obviously, we later ordered the single crab cake entree with two sides ($33.99). I chose the fries and the up-charge for a Caesar salad while my wife picked the coleslaw and mashed potatoes. The crab cakes did not disappoint! Even though it was a hot day outside, they kept the restaurant very cold. After we ate, I didn't notice it as much because I was so full. A final note is the lunch crowd started coming in around 12:15pm.

Locales and visitors enjoying a Monday dinner - crab cakes or pasta seemed to be popular. The latter may be attributed to the $2 pasta discount on Mondays. The quintessential basket on the table of stale cracker packets and tiny plastic containers of butter probably sitting out 24/7. Meh- why "Oprah" would order her crab cakes from here when the crab is not from Maryland, right? Once I heard that news from the waiter ( I asked, it was not volunteered) I opted for the local soft shell crab special. ( despite it not being season, I should have known better. It was a puny crab with hardly any meat and it was not properly cleaned either. Sides of overcooked brocolli and asparagus. Baked potatoes looked liked yesterday's overcooked option. My colleagues enjoyed the crab cakes which were large portions- should be for $40+ each. Service was friendly, food took too long- it was a long wait for mediocre overpriced food.

I have to say I was very pleasantly surprised at how good this small restaurant / sports bar is…read morethat was attached to Suburban Bowlerama, on Queen Street, in York, Pa. Wife, daughter and myself first had three games in the alley, which went by at good time for three games. But the real treat was when some of the customers exited this little eatery as we bowled, we couldn't help but smell the food being served just behind us on the furthest end of the alleys. When we came inside, Michelle had greeted us pleasantly, and asked if I needed a chair moved as I was in a wheelchair, but the tables were perfect height and had no trouble at all getting a place to eat. ^^ A few other people were dotted around different seats as multiple TVs played various sports, as we started looking on the menus of what was making our mouths water. My daughter ordered the Nashville Hot Shrimp, Wife had the chilli, and decided to get a small speciality pizza, Ham with fig sauce ... ?... I decided to get a bowl of the creame of crab soup and sweet tea. Food took a small while to make, but when it came out, it was AMAZING. The soup was in a wide styled bowl with crackers, and no lie. It was perfect. Then my wife had started on her chilli, and she said it was exactly how her mom used to make it from North Carolina, it was THAT Good. Daughter had started on her hot shrimp and was happily bouncing in her seat as she loved the heat and the taste. Then when me and wife got done with the bowls of OMG Goodness, then she offered me a piece of her pizza, and I tell you, I NEVER Had such an outstanding combination on a pizza before as I had here. It was a white flat bread pizza, and the ham was perfect with crisp edges, but the best part was the sweet fig sauce. It was perfectly balanced with the salty meat and the sweet drizzled sauce on top. Michelle came by and asked how we were doing, and she just smiled as we told her how good the food was. She had let us know the menu was changing, and thanked us for letting her know what we liked, hopefully they will keep our choices on those menus, as they will be choices we will definitely order again, the next time we head there for bowling. So please, when you get food there at Alley Oops, tell Michelle how good your choices they are, and see when they change the menu, they keep the choices on. I couldn't recommend this food eatery place highly enough, as seeing how excellent the food is, and Michelle's pleasant personality made the day for us. We WILL be back again... ^^ Cheers and God Bless... Deaf Gryphon ^^
