Stopped by during Happy Hour on a Friday. There were a few patrons but plenty of seating available at the bar. They had lots of drink specials and $.99 wings. I ordered the strawberry lemonade crush and five honey old bay wings. The drink was delicious, but I did not enjoy the wings one bit. I could not taste the honey old bay flavor at all. It tastes like charred wings. I was with my cousin who also ordered a few wings. She could not taste her wing flavor as that charred taste was overpowering. I don't know if they blow torch the wings or put it in the broiler before sending it out but it just did not taste good. The atmosphere of this location seems more fitting for the college crowd, and I am way beyond college age. It wasn't a bad experience, but I doubt return. read more

We actually ended up here by mistake but it was a good time so we stayed. The place is huge lots of room at the bar. We had strawberry lemonade crushed for a drink. They were delicious and on special The food was okay. I had pulled pork quesadilla but I didn't particularly care for the taste I should have gotten chicken. I also got crabby tots they were good but the tots were a little over cooked. All in all I'd go back and try some more drinks. read more

We sure love a nice country bar This bar is a bit more tamer, and sometimes you just need that and not a lot of crazy bass thumping music. The beer is good, the service is great, and the company is nice. The bar is spacious, plenty of seating and standing space along with a couple of pool tables to get friends together. This place was a great find for Baltimore County Restaurant Week Lunch. I visited and I was pleased with most! The only downfall was I waited over 15 minutes for someone to acknowledge my presence even though I sat at the main bar in the very middle seat, but once someone came over to help they were very helpful and stayed near until my departure making sure I was taken care of. This place had great Restaurant Week menu options and I ordered C & R Wings (Always Grilled, Never Fried -Buffalo Lemon Pepper) and C & R Rotisserie Chicken 1/2 w Fresh Veggies. Everything was so so tasty! The environment was great as well! It was like a posh sports bar. Seating options everywhere and all types from high tops to table to bar seating. of well stocked bar and very spacious. As far as parking, metered street parking that wasn't too difficult to find. The burger was good and came out quick, but I was solo and wasn't going to take a table to myself, so I opted to sit at the bar. I got my water refilled once, and had to ask a 2nd time which seemed to annoy staff. Just because someone is sitting at the bar doesn't mean they want to drink. I have seen countless restaurants do this, but do you want someone solo to sit at a table instead of 4 people that could use that table instead? Great visit today with C&R Pub! First of all, this place is a surprisingly very large space. We walked in and I was shocked to see how large the bar is and how far it wraps around the corner! Our bartender was very nice and quick to welcome us and get our orders started. There were 3 of us & she also did a nice job of providing recommendations on menu items. There weren't any specials in the bar today, but the prices are fair and you get a ton of food for your money! I had a southern peach and by husband and his friend both had the Maryland mules! They were both highly satisfied, and I quote! Our food was delicious! I had the Billie burger which had Swiss, cheddar, bacon, and bbq sauce! It came with steak fries, a pickle spear and some coleslaw! Everything was delicious! Hubby had lemon pepper wings and our friend, locked and loaded tots with crabby shrimp dip! They definitely weren't shy about the portions! Food came out quickly and was nice and hot! This is a cool place to visit and nice to have some more variety in the Towson area! Music selection isn't amazing but that's just my opinion. Would've loved more of a variety of music. Despite that, our visit today was really great all together. As always I do not comment on the service, I will share how helpful they were, but it is not part of the rating. We walked into this place, adorned with garage doors, which must be awesome during the summer, but a bad thought for the colder weather days. The inside has two pool tables, a shuffle board style standing bar top, a Walmart man cave basement style dart board and a REALLY long bar for seating. A nice setup for the warmer days, with the garage doors open, but for the colder days OOF, IMO. No worries there is plenty of room at the bar. For the food I ordered the loaded Nachos. Finally nachos where the chips weren't limp, BUT it was because the cheese was a warmed cheese sauce and not real cheese. My wife ordered the Rattlesnake burger. A good tasty burger, but slightly undercooked this time. Still good... The kids, 19 and 22 years old, shared chicken and bacon pizza. It was tasty despite the amount of salty flavor. Additionally they ordered the Mac & cheese. A decent meal on its own, but salty. But the big problem at the table was the grilled cheese and tomato soup dish. What a great idea on a cold day, but the cook did not cook it properly. It tasted like it was made in oil and not butter. A BIG disappointment. As for the staff, I left a bit upset at the bill and my discussion with the waitress. We ordered from the specials menu, pointing to the items, but up-sales were mentioned when we ordered and the waitress neglected to tell us the item on special did not include it, and that it would be an extra charge-or is not set at the specials price. Oh and that the sodas were not free refills. Either way I was still happy, with a small caveat, the prices were a bit higher, but the meals were still very good. I actually found the food to be terribly bland and my "baked wings" were raw in the middle. I was disappointed with my experience and when I told the server the chicken was undercooked, I was notified they won't remove anything from your bill - they would only recook what I ordered. Not really a fan. I had been wanting to check out C&R since I like to hit up all the new places in Towson. Props to them for having what looks like a serious bouncer outside. I'm 21 and even I was nervous I would not get in based on the way he was looking at our IDs. The inside is very spacious. Lots of tables, bar space, booths. People can mingle very easily. They do a coin toss (not sure if it is just on Thursday's) where if you ask to do the coin toss and you guess it correctly then you get your [rail or draft] drink for free. That is a pretty cool idea. Other than that though, I was not really impressed. If you are into country music and just a vibe different than what you are used to in Towson, this is the place for you. But if you don't like cow skin looking furry booths and a country music bar scene, steer clear. It's really heavy on the country vibe. read more

Music is good, crowd is what you would expect in a college bar atmosphere. The food (only have had the late night limited menu) was fine. Their late night menu's boneless buffalo chicken bites are pretty good if you want to just get a little something in your stomach while drinking. The drinks are fine. Pretty standard for all the college bars; Not strong but not weak depending on what you order. Bartenders are friendly and get to you right away, even if a little busy. On a nice night the roll up doors are open and it's pretty nice. There is only one pool table and it's usually over occupied the entire night so no one else gets a chance to play. Security is present - usually a couple of guys. They are ID strict & we have seen students under 21 TRY to get past them w their fakes & get denied. Kinda of funny when it happens. The few times we've been there it's been either quiet to really loud if a bit crowded. Everyone seems to handle their liquor well w/out any issues. It's a place to go during the summer - weekday or weekend - if you want to just have a drink, watch a game (they have a few TVs) and hang out, student or not; however, if not a student, I wouldn't recommend it after 10p once summer is over and students return to campus as it gets quite crowded. I really wasn't a fan. This was just a place to go with a large group of people. The food was not spectacular or something that was memorable. The best way I can describe the food is the following. I had wings, tots, and something else I can't recall. Remember when you were a kid and you came home with the fundraiser flyer of the frozen foods like (pizza, chicken tenders, etc.)? Yes you can? Pretty decent bar in Towson. My friend tells me that every Thursday, you can flip a coin if you call it correctly, your drink is free. There are outside seats since it gets pretty hot in the restaurant. I've only been here for drinks, and the prices are average. read more

We showed up on a Friday night with 8 adults and four children. We were immediately accommodated and got Danny as our server. The happy hour specials were awesome and everyone enjoyed fantastic wings, beers, wine, and cocktails. Sounds like a paid ad, but our group has a lot of range. The wings (hot and bbq) were fall off the bone and have a great grilled flavor. The sliders were hearty and properly cooked. I personally had the prime rib and they were amazing. Someone got some sort of bbq chicken pizza and it was polished off before I could grab a slice. Bartenders Kemp and Ron helped me out when my son was being fussy and I enjoyed a traditional cocktail from my motherland, the Mind Eraser. Very tasty. We went for happy hour, but we will return for regular visits. (Sorry for the mess, our kids are wild and we try to apply gratuity accordingly!) read more

Solid atmosphere and bar food! Apparently this is a revamped, larger version of a place that was in Federal Hill (I'd never been). It's a Texas/country & Western theme with ample seating, tons of TVs that make it great for game watches and good food to boot. I recommend the crabby tots and the chicken fingers. This is a great place to go to meet up with a large group or for a large group. A good place for a work happy hour or to just go and hang out with some friends. The staff is friendly and the music is good. We got service right away as soon as we walked in, even though there was a large party near the bar. They offer lots of local beers which is always a plus in my book and the happy hour specials are good. I thought the food wasn't anything special, we got pizza, sliders, chicken fingers, and gator bites. I did enjoy the gator bites but the other items weren't anything special, standard bar food. read more

I was super excited to go to this new restaurant. The menu looked more enticing than most of the places around Towson. We got the Great Chips of Fire, Locked & Loaded Tots (chili) and Brushfire Pasta. With that said, the bill was $40. A little much for 2 apps and a pasta dish but okay, lets give it a try. I expected way better than what we got. The menu describes the Chips of Fire as "jalapeno and cherry pepper slices, lightly breaded, served with goodness gracious sauce." To me that sounded like fresh peppers, but yet once again and IDK why, restaurants use pickled peppers instead of fresh; This ingredient needs to stop being produced. I will say the peppers were fried nicely, not overly greasy and the sauce was pretty good. It tasted like a sweet creamy salsa. The tots served with chili were at most meh. The tots themselves were cooked okay; they could have been a little crispier so they wouldn't fall apart. The chili was not good at all. I'm not sure what they put in it but it tasted sweet, almost like a nutmeg/cinnamon flavor....with corn in it. Wendy's chili is better and that's made from the old burgers. The pasta was good. The chicken was cooked nicely, the sauce was not overpowering or too cheesy, but why are there green beans in it...WEIRD and NOT worth $19. I tried a bite of the crab dip and immediately wanted to spit it out, but I'm lady so I didn't. It was the WORST crab dip I have ever tasted in my life. I wish I would have heeded the warning of "don't do it" from a friend....SMH. I'm not positive, but there was something on the top of the dip, maybe sherry, that just turned it into a sour dish. I am a leftovers girls but I left these there. I'm hoping this is just a "being a new restaurant" thing, but I'm not sure I'd go back to eat. Went to C&R to watch the first week games of the the NFL. I have been there in the past and knew they have NFL Gameday ticket, so I thought I would be able to watch a couple of different games at once. I asked the waitress if she could change one of the channels to a different game because all 6 of the seven screens had the Ravens on. Bar was about half empty, so I didn't think it would be a big deal. The waitress asked the guy who was in control of the tvs and he said he would not be putting on any other game. I go to the bar to watch football games, not to watch one game and all of its commercials. I could do that at home with one tv. I asked again after the game was a blow out and they still said no. Do not waste your time here if you want to watch football games. They will literally have all their tvs playing the same game and will not change it. A little diversity would have been extremely nice. read more

Every time I visit C & R pub I have an amazing experience! The food is phenomenal, especially their chicken fingers with honey mustard dipping sauce. The music is perfect for someone that's into country music. They have corn hole games for their guest to play and it become a pretty live scene at night when all the college kids come out. If I could give 0 stars I would. I did not feel welcome by anyone but the security guard. This place is complete self seating which is fine but when we sat down we weren't spoken to by ANYONE. Waiters and waitresses walked past our table like we did not even exist. After sitting for about 20 minutes we just left because we were clearly not welcome. I hate to play the race card but we were also the only African Americans in the establishment. I would never recommend this place to anyone. It is sad that in 2020 we are still unable to go somewhere and eat without being ignored or looked at like we do not belong. Three waiters stood at the bar and looked back at our table multiple times but never offered us water or simply said "someone will be with you shortly." We decided to leave and take our money elsewhere. My family members and I do not work hard for the money we have to spend it somewhere we are clearly not wanted. If you are black I would not recommend stepping foot in this pub. read more

I visited this restaurant on 2/22 while visiting a family member in Baltimore. We decided to come here after another place had a 2 hour wait across the street. We walked in and was greeted by the nice security at the door. He informed us that we could sit anywhere that was open so we walked in a found a table. Observing the bar as I'm walking in, I noticed about 3-4 waitresses in the vicinity. Me and my other two family members sat down at the table and watched all of these waitresses look at us as if we were lost. They were standing around talking to other patrons and/or friends and just watched us not even be helped or greeted. We couldn't even get a glass of water to the table. They all walked by as if we weren't sitting there. The table next to us saw we were sitting for a while, waived a waitress down to help us and she still walked by us. I have never been treated like this is any establishment EVER. I didn't think being the only African Americans in this bar would have this type of result. We ended up leaving because we felt highly uncomfortable. I do not recommend this place at all and I will never spend my hard earned money in here even if they paid me. Just wanted to warn other folks in case they were considering spending their money here. read more

This new place is great! Awesome country atmosphere, big and clean, and the food was awesome. We got the gator tenders and they were great. Then i also got the bbq wings, which were some of the most tender I've had, followed by a bbq salmon wrap which also was really good.
