Ha, I'm sure this review won't come a shocker to anybody. I think my first mistake was choosing to eat at Applebees. I hadn't been in years so I decided to come and try their 2 for 30 deal. We came in and we're seated in a booth by the door which wasn't my first pick but it was alright. Our server was kind of rude and wasn't attentive at all. We wanted brisk ice tea, they were out. We wanted greek yogurt with strawberries for the kids, they were out. We wanted so many things they were out of. We got two kids meals for our kids and we got the 2 for 30 deal. It came with an appetizer to share and two full sized entrees. As far as the taste of our food goes it was just alright. No seasonings really as I'm sure that Applebees just puts salt and pepper on it and throws it into the microwave and calls it a day. I'm not sure anybody back there does any real cooking. My sons Mac and cheese looked so damn dry and it's a shame that they would serve that thinking it looks appetizing or tastes good. Had absolutely no cheese flavor at all. It's a shame. My Alfredo was just ok. The salt and pepper saved it from being thrown out. We spent a total of like $50-60 and I have to say this place was definitely not worth that price at all. I would of paid $30 for the whole meal and still felt like it wasn't worth the price. I could of made the same meal at home for a fraction of the cost. Just don't come here. Go somewhere else. I'm surprised that this place is still in business after all these years. Time for it to close in my opinion. read more

I always have great service, great food and a great time coming to my neighborhood Applebee's.

My mom and I came here for super late dinner @ 10:30pm and surprisingly there were a good amount of customers. We had the $25 dinner for 2 which has the appetizer to share and 2 dinners. While my mom had the fiesta lime chicken which came out piping hot and was very delicious, I ordered the classic cheeseburger served with a side of semi cold fries. We also had the boneless chicken buffalo wings which were very tasty. The service was awesome considering they were almost closing. Would definitely come back here. read more

Since the pandemic it's becoming increasing more challenging to get quality food. So I suppose I should not have been too surprised by the lack of quality from my to go order tonight. I requested that all burgers in my order be cooked with "no pink". Now I eat enough burgers to know that sometimes a little pink may be present, which although I'm not crazy about I can accept. HOWEVER...the burger I received tonight was inedible, as it was freaking "raw" inside. With prices going up for just about everything, you would think business would place a bit more consideration on quality control. Gees!! read more

Welp hubby kept bringing this place up as an option but I knew after reading the reviews it was going to be bad .. but I let him have his pick lol service was horrible no one smiles everyone's at the bar joking with other co workers whilst we are waiting 15 min to even order drinks . Food was not good . The boneless wings were cold small and disappointing . The fries with our burgers were portioned sooo small for the price ! Along with the burgers itself!! Was standing for like 10 minutes waiting to be greeted/seated wasn't busy at all. I kept making eye contact with this girl that kept walking back n forth doing nothing. Then another family walked in and she was so quick to greet them. I asked if me and my fam could be seated first. Then while we were waiting on the food I went to the bathroom. Someone was going #2 farting and dropping bombs. As soon as I got in my stall they hurried up and ran out the bathroom without washing their hands. I noticed the shoes and black pants they were wearing. Sure enough it was a worker. How disgusting and unsanitary. I honestly wanted to leave but I don't like wasting my time. I just prayed over all the food. Food wast bitter. Steak was bite sized and mashed potatoes were cold in the middle on a hot skillet. Will never return. Didn't leave tip. We went here with high expectations. Kids food was good but we could make it at home. Nothing special. But their entrées were not appetizing at all. Not to mention their drinks. We ordered some Arnold Palmers, we drink that all the time and it wasn't equally blended. We also ordered alcohol and they were not served well. Their Old Fashioned was more vodka than anything. Didn't take more than two swigs. We also ordered one of their happy hour drinks, a blue one with a shark in it, and that was more sugar than anything. I went to Applebees tonight with my family and we had the worst experience here. Our server Noah decided flirting with one of the hostess was more important than coming to check up on our table when our drinks are empty. We were lagged on the whole time we were here. We got charged 3 dollars for each drink, only one of our drinks got refilled once, he offered me a tasting of their IPA and ended up giving me a tall glass and charged me 10 dollars for a beer I didn't really even want. I got the riblets plate and the riblets were covered in bbq sauce yet the meat was tough and the fries were almost rock hard.I could snap them in half with a pickle. This is my #1 go to place as someone with Celiac Disease. The servers here are always very considerate and couple of them are very much aware of what Celiac Disease and Gluten Intolerance is. FIRST - Our biggest new gripe is their "PROMOTIONS"!!! Free ticket to Top Gun if you order $25 - nice!!! We did that. We got our code. But it was not honored at Fandango - "the code is no good or out of date" - it was NOT out of date. So we called Applebee's Corp and they hung up on us three times, picked up and then dial tone. THAT'S NOT ALL: at Christmas time, we got the promotion for purchasing gift certificates. One $10 promo worked - the other did not. We complained - they gave us a new one - it did not work, but the nice manager at Menifee allowed the $10 off anyway. She was great. SECONDLY - This place has become really bad. The food is mostly okay and some of it is absolutely great.... BUT - service? Bad!!! Not so much the servers, but there is always-always a wait - a long wait - with many many open tables that appear to be available for immediate seating. Unfriendly greeters... never seem happy to see you. We were once told there'd be a 2 hour wait. We spun out - there are plenty of other Menifee restaurants with no wait!!! AND - don't tell me - it's because of Covid and they can't get help. We were at Texas Roadhouse yesterday and it was BOOMING with every table filled, people waiting outside AND the help running around everywhere serving people happily. SO if Applebees is having trouble hiring people, it's because they don't want to OR because they are wretched employers. read more

Yesterday I took my girl and her friend out to have some drinks and apps at my local neighborhood bar and grill. We had an unfortunate experience with the appetizer that was served to us. Nothing malicious just an oversight. So I asked to speak with the general manager. Needless to say her professionalism and customer service was absolutely outstanding. I have been here lots of times in the years we have lived in Menifee and loved it. But in the last 3 months it has declined so much I don't think I will be returning. The last straw was today. We waited almost 30 minutes before anyone even acknowledged that we were there after we were seated. When a server finally approved she just asked "no one has taken your drink order?" We told her no. Then she proceeded to say "I told her you were here. Let me go get her " and took off again no eye contact, no, "let me take your order since you have waited so long" nothing. And she took off again. So after 1 minute we just got up and left and so did the table in from of us since they were there as long as us. First off, I'm in service industry and hate leaving these type of reviews. Rose, the bartender had horrible service and no personality. She talked with one couple at the bar, and acted like she was being interrupted any time anyone else at the bar needed service (napkins, a drink refill, etc.) Then would go back to talking to that couple. I also found hair in my food, and was up charged on a side without my server mentioning it. She really made the experience sub par, which is hard because I get it.... It's Applebees, not a nice fine dining establishment, but when I'm spending close to $100 on food that's cooked like shit, hair in the food, and shitty service, all in one... something needs to be done. The customer service was beyond appalling. My boyfriend ordered a vegetarian meal but was served a plate with BACON on it. Not only that but it also took an extra twenty minutes to arrive after everyone else's food. Geronimo and Samar are simply the best! Whenever I go there, I ask for to sit in either of their sections. They treat me as a friend and always have my drinks memorized. Each time I go there, they ask how my day has gone and make sure that I have everything that I need. Applebee's wouldn't be the same without them there. Most times, I just go there to see those two! This is a nice neighborhood Applebee's. It is always pretty busy. They have a nice selection of entrees. I like the lemon chicken. They have a 2 for $22 special that is an amazing deal. There is also a daily happy hour with half priced entrees. We will be back. read more

He was starving so I just decided to put that aside for a bit & share my sandwich with him for now but when I split it in half, we found another blonde hair! At that point I was fed up & told the waitress & she called her manager. I walked past the kitchen & couldn't find a blonde with no hair net but when I sat back down the manager came.. a blonde with a fresh new hair net (: I doubt she had it on when she was in the kitchen helping get some of the food out lol from the rest of these reviews I can see that this place really needs to work on proper sanitation & cleanliness, definitely don't recommend eating here. read more

Another business added to this city, can't say it's a bad thing that they're bringing business and jobs to Menifee. Opens at 11:00 am, you can come here for brunch, lunch or dinner. We wanted to support the place even though we've been to an AppleBees before and pretty much know what the food is like. I was impressed though, I must say, that while we were waiting to be seated, they were offering everyone frozen strawberry lemonades and even seconds if you wanted some. The hostess was very friendly with my kids and she seemed like she enjoys being at work, something you want to see in a host. We got seated and realized the place isn't that big at all, but the ambiance of dedication to Menifee was very interesting and kind of cool. They had these computer pads at the table for you to look at the menu, play games (for $0.99), reorder your drinks or even pay your bill. Nice touch, Applebees! Our waiter was Jimmy, he was nice and knowledgeable of the menu but clearly was nervous, that was fine with me. Still great service! He made sure to put in our entree order a few minutes after putting in our appetizer so that we would have time to eat our appetizer. Which we got the honey barbeque bone-in wings, not bad, but not great either. Maybe we should have went with the buffalo wings instead. For drinks, I got the frozen strawberry lemonade because it was so hot outside and it was that good, I had to order it. My husband got the blue agave margarita and that wasn't too bad, not strong though. For my entree, I got the margarita queso chicken and shrimp, very good, but the chicken was a bit dry and the shrimp was cold. Hence why i took a star off. My husband ordered the 7-oz sirloin with mashed potatoes and vegetables, it was good. My daughter got the corn dog and applesauce packet to share with her sister. Very unprofessional customer service. Because of limited outdoor seating there was a long wait. There were 2 party before us. We had been waiting for more than 35 minutes already. 2 tables became available and people got seated. Now we were supposed to be next but to our surprise we were still 2nd in the waitlist. They seated some people who just walked in. We asked the host why is that he said that the manager told him to seat them. Apparently they knew family or friend of someone who worked in. This was really unfair as we have waited for so long (35-40 minutes). We tried to talk to the Brianna, the manager but she didn't seem to be showing any concern.
