Well I would have given this place 5 stars. So I just left here. Satisfied, the food was great. I ordered the grilled chicken sandwich. That thing packed so much flavor it was amazing. Who would have thought. As always, my fries plain, no seasoning or salt. And a diet drink. Also ordered the oriental salad. Everything was good. We were greeted and seated politely. The place was clean. The manager was noticeably working too. The prices for 2 were about $20. Which is awesome for this place. The only thing was our waitress only stopped by once to check after the food was done. I put my cup by the edge of the table hinting my refill but it never came. Nobody stopped by to check on us. That was the only disappointment. The food was 5 stars but the service here , a 3 star. Was being nice, could have been a 2 star. Just check up on your customers... place was not busy at all. Had given the place a rest, but decided to return a couple of months back since I missed the place. I come super often, probably 2-3 times a week. The food is not my favorite for the most part, but I give 5 stars for the atmosphere. I love coming here and feeling so welcomed. My favorite bartender is Rhyan. Super Duper busy on Sunday at 5:00 pm for Dinner and Happy Hour here. Food is good and service is fantastic. Onion rings came out fresh and hot and delicious. Same goes for the Chicken quesadillas and boneless spicy wings. The wings were not my favorite because too much filler inside I think. The Spinach and artichoke dip was good. They only have Tabasco hot sauce here. A bbq sauce for the onion rings. Too sweet and needs a little Tabasco sauce to cut the sweetness. Overall a good experience here at Applebees restaurant in Manifee. Not too far from Pechanga casino resort. Definitely gotta taste their famous Butter Pecan Blondie. So good!!! We really enjoyed our visit to this restaurant. Our server, Miguel, was very friendly and attentive. We ordered the appetizer/2entree special that they were offering. We had the onion rings, chicken and shrimp dish, and the crispy shrimp plate. Everything was delicious. We also had two margaritas that were on special too! They were the best margaritas for the price that you will ever have. We feel that Applebees sometimes gets a bad rap. We have tried this restaurant and the one in Moreno Valley and we were not disappointed. In fact we were pleasantly surprised. Would also like to mention the manager , Armando. Honestly ordered on DoorDash today and the ribs we got were so disrespectful. Dry to the bone burnt and literally no meat coming off the bone. Worst ribs I've had in my life. And I've had my share of bad ribs. honestly I felt robbed. Paid $33 for half a rack of ribs and all I got was cartilage. Went straight to the trash. We did a take out order and when we got home we saw that somethings were missing from our order. I immediately contacted them to let them know. Several days later I received an email asking me to contact them so they could "make this right". I responded to their email but never heard from them again and that was over a month ago. That was probably an automated email they send to all complaints and they obviously don't actually care or live up to "making it right". read more

This has to be the most rancid happy hour spot In Menifee, I know that's not saying much because there's only a half dozen or so places in the entire city that has a bar with happy hour. The home office sure does try hard enough with a big list of cocktails on special a handful of aps and draft beers with side kicks, shots on the side. The drinks are ultra sugary and weak with just less then an ounce of liquor. Today there was total confusion over the draft beer taps as they weren't as labeled. Someone apparently moved them around. The two bartenders that couldn't sell a drink to save a life. I waited almost five minutes and the only other guy at the bar had a half a beer. I ordered a bud light draft and patron sidekick only to be served a short pour of some other beer, probably ultra and that's it. The bartender disappeared while the other served the dining room servers. When my bartender returned I had an empty glass that was ignored until I asked for my check. The bartender put down my check then realized how bad service was and pulled it back say no check sir, with an oh shit grimmis on her face. I tipped but didn't pay and in that 20 minutes I was there I never saw one drink sold. I tipped 2 bucks and left. Applebee's needs to hire bartenders that are kind, and capable at the same time but they really never have in the 4 years I have been stopping by. Skip this on at all cost.... Even at no cost. We were lucky that the wait to be seated was only about fifteen minutes for our party of ten, despite that it was within the peak time for dinner on a Friday. 11/22/2024. Chicken wonton tacos ($10.99): these are delicious. The seasoned chicken, crispy wontons, and the savory sauce make this a must get, 5/5 stars! $10 meal deal with $1.99 upgrade for side dish. Fried chicken sandwich: the batter was fried to a crisp, and the chicken was slightly juicy. But, a zesty sauce in the sandwich would do wonders. As it stands, 3.5/5 stars overall. Located on Newport Rd & Haun Rd near the 215 FWY with plenty of parking. We've been coming to this location for many years now and have always been happy with the service here. Their prices remain very reasonable. We stopped for dinner this Saturday evening at about 8:30 pm and were seated immediately. Today, I ordered their '8oz Sirloin Steak', and it tasted great. Shout out to our server, Miguel, who was extremely attentive and helpful with the menu. The restaurant is clean and organized, with a full bar and plenty of TVs throughout the restaurant showing live sports. This location never disappoints. We'll definitely return. read more

The food was super expensive and only ok at best. The service was the low spot, even more disappointing than the overpriced dried out food she served. This waitress started taking our order. We said we needed a minute to figure this out. Instead of saying, OK, I'll be right back she went in and put an order in for something we talked about, not asked for whoever we did ask for chips and never got those that is until the manager bring them to us, then proceeded to walk to the next table and said oh my gosh those were for you not them even though we did ask for some. Our waitress prank drinks at three different times including the babies milk. Here's where it gets bad, she proceeds to set a bowl of hot fettuccine in front of a one year-old and I mean one year old for only four days of course we got to it and moved it before the baby could touch it, but this was stupid. Then, as the food started trickling to our table, that's none of us got it at the same time and since my daughter had moved the baby's food to the other side of her and the space was open this waitress decided to put my daughters hot food order in front of the baby again. So now we have half the order and when she finally decides to bring the rest, I'll take it in my hands instead of letting her put it down, which was heading right in front of the baby again. As a waitress left, she said I'll get you another Pepsi. My daughter had stepped away to get the baby some wipes out of the car and when the waitress bring back the Pepsi, where do you think she placed it ? right in front of the baby. Mind you this place was not busy, but she had two other tables. They came in behind us. And they were all eating along time before us and we only ordered the normal microwave stuff that everybody else did. We were ignored everything we needed. We had to stop her and get the oh yes, but no would've been a better answer. I do want to make it clear that the place was clean, and all the other workers helped. us as we had asked them as we were getting no help from our waitress, but they were very prompt and friendly and remember I did say it was not busy 4 tables working filled at the most. I got ice :( I ordered the chicken and broccoli fettuccini- there was a broccoli recall, so I was offered zucchini. I was very, very disappointed. The zucchini was overcooked and tasteless. The pasta was very soggy and tasted like it had been over boiled and sat for a while- also lacked flavor. We have been to this Applebee's several times in the past few months and always had great service and the waitresses have always been VERY polite and very accommodating to ANY requests. Today, however, we had a VERY poor experience here with a dark haired young man as our server. (I wish I had his name but it all went bad so fast that I didn't catch it.) I ordered a chicken sandwich and specifically stated that I would like grilled chicken instead of breaded and no mayo please. Server then proceeded to go thru every item that was included on the sandwich to ensure I wanted everything. I told him everything was fine just grilled chicken and no mayo. When our order was delivered, by a different server, I discovered that my chicken was breaded not grilled and informed that server. She stated she would let our server know. The dark haired young man returned to our table and I informed him of the problem. He said no problem walked to the other side of the aisle and picked up a small plate. He returned and said, "I'll just take your sandwich and leave the fries." (I would have preferred he take the whole plate as is customary when there's a problem. I did not want to eat all the fries without a sandwich.) I put the sandwich on the plate and as he turned around he said in a nasty, sarcastic tone and loud enough for everyone to hear, "Thanks for THROWING that sandwich on the plate for me!" He proceeded to walk away and my husband called him back and told him that the way he spoke to me was very inappropriate. He said NOTHING and proceeded to walk away. My husband became very upset by his disrespect and asked to see the manager. By the time the manager came, we'd had enough and told the manager that the server had been disrespectful. The manager attempted to apologize but my husband told him that our dining experience had been ruined and we were finished. (We have NEVER left a restaurant like that and in over 40 years of marriage, I have never seen my husband that upset!) We left and went to another establishment for lunch. I'm hoping this dark haired young man is no longer employed at this establishment for the benefit of others who may come here in the future. I want to start this review with my one positive experience, there was one competent, and very nice server, I believe her name is Avianna. Not to be dramatic, but she truly was the light in a dim night. This location of Applebees is absolutely awful. Don't waste your time or money, and beware -at this location-, you will waste both. We arrived around 6pm on a Saturday, no reservation, estimated wait time was shorter than the previous restaurant, so we waited. We actually got sat relatively quick to the time we expected to wait. But once we were sat, that's where we were for a very slow 2 and a half hours. Our waiter was slow to come back and when he did come back and was given requests (soda refill, utensils, appetizers) they would either never come back with the items or took a long time to. Although once we asked for to-go containers and the check they were quick to bring them out. When spending money on an evening meal with family, consider going elsewhere, reconsider this location and this eatery. This is not a food issue, the food was a solid 6/10 maybe 7/10, typical Sysco food, this is a customer service issue. read more

Had dinner here 4/9/25 ... after eating and paying at the table, I went to get out of the booth and the cushion apparently was not attached to the booth frame, the cushion with me on it, slid onto the floor between the table post and the booth. I was stuck ... no one from Applebee's made any attempt to help me or ask for help. I had to call 911 myself laying on the floor. It took 3 firemen to help me up, I was stuck that bad. Beware !!! Applebee's is not safe for anyone. They were aware of the loose cushion (the mgr stated so) and did nothing to correct it. read more

Applebee's shares a parking lot with nearby businesses, but there's usually a fair amount of parking available. We visited shortly after opening and were greeted warmly. While waiting for my parents to arrive, our server was very understanding of the delay and kept checking in with us. We ordered some appetizers, which came out perfectly timed as my parents arrived. I tried one of their $5 drinks, which my dad thought cost $15--it definitely packed a punch! My pasta dish was tasty, though the chicken-to-pasta ratio was a bit off, leaving me with extra chicken. A better balance would be appreciated in the future. Overall, my parents enjoyed their meals, we had excellent service, and the atmosphere was perfect for catching up as a family. My wife and I took our son and our family for birthday dinner Saturday 3/7 around 5pm. There were 7 of us, 6 adults 1 grandkid. Took a while to be seated while the hostess prepared 2 tables to accommodate us. She was the best part of the evening. The sun was blazing through the window across our table, had to ask group of workers hanging out at the hostess stand to close blinds. Waiter finally came by to order drinks, the appetizers. After the slow service we realized we should order dinner. A very long wait, other servers brought 3 plates, my sons steak was charcoal on the outside and pink in the middle. When the other 3 arrived 10 minutes later cold and without fries, due to remaking them, showed up 10 minutes later?? $207 Dollars later, we all were so disappointed with the service, food, and experience, we will never go back to this location. read more

The chicken was hard tasted terrible and the pasta was dry and unedible. The manager did come over and talk to us and ended up giving me a $5 coupon for when if ever we do go back. We've enjoyed going to Applebee's for a long time, but we didn't always have one near us. As a family and now with our kids grown, we've always found the food to be consistently good and creative. In some ways, it's a Chili's knockoff, but they seem to rotate new ideas through their menu better. On our most recent visit, we were nearby during HH. Our server was prompt and friendly. She filled our water glasses and went over some of items on the menu. We ordered some drinks and sat back and chatted while figuring out what we wanted. No rush, very relaxed. I went with the Appetizer Classic Combo (photos) and my wife with the 12 oz Ribeye. The steak was cooked perfectly and tasted great. While my small bites, had a nice variety of favors. We entered into a fairly empty restaurant that did not seem to be under staffed but we waited for a table. Once we placed our drink orders (water with lemon and iced tea with lemon) they didn't come for a long time. When they did, no lemon. I asked for the lemon. Never did get it. We ordered our meals. Mine came with unlimited fries, and when I asked for more, they never came. In fact, since they didn't come, we ordered desert. The desert sat somewhere so long that mine was a skillet full of apple pie and liquid ice cream melted on it. My wife's was a brownie with liquid ice cream. I asked for the check. It never came. So I was hesitant to come here because of all the bad reviews and was years ago since I went into an Applebee's restaurant. Didn't want to make things complicated I went with the flow to come here. Server was good at taking care of us. The ambiance was pretty good. We sat at one of the bigger booths and was prefect for three ladies. Since I ate I was shooting for appetizers. And wonton stood out and decided to try the chicken wonton tacos. Oh my the coleslaw and cilantro went well with my tacos. And just love the crunch on the wonton shells were so crunchy and crispy. Chicken was good. Actually my friend told me it is good before I ordered it. She said she comes here just for that. So we both ordered that. She added a sampler platter with quesadillas and wings, celery, tortilla chips and mozzarella sticks. I didn't dive in to the platter because I was so stuffed with tacos. My other friend ordered the chicken strips plate with French fries and the chicken strips looked super hard and dry and she didn't even bother to pack her leftovers. Ha, I'm sure this review won't come a shocker to anybody. I think my first mistake was choosing to eat at Applebees. I hadn't been in years so I decided to come and try their 2 for 30 deal. We came in and we're seated in a booth by the door which wasn't my first pick but it was alright. Our server was kind of rude and wasn't attentive at all. We wanted brisk ice tea, they were out. We wanted greek yogurt with strawberries for the kids, they were out. We wanted so many things they were out of. We got two kids meals for our kids and we got the 2 for 30 deal. It came with an appetizer to share and two full sized entrees. As far as the taste of our food goes it was just alright. No seasonings really as I'm sure that Applebees just puts salt and pepper on it and throws it into the microwave and calls it a day. I'm not sure anybody back there does any real cooking. My sons Mac and cheese looked so damn dry and it's a shame that they would serve that thinking it looks appetizing or tastes good. Had absolutely no cheese flavor at all. It's a shame. My Alfredo was just ok. The salt and pepper saved it from being thrown out. We spent a total of like $50-60 and I have to say this place was definitely not worth that price at all. I would of paid $30 for the whole meal and still felt like it wasn't worth the price. I could of made the same meal at home for a fraction of the cost. Just don't come here. Go somewhere else. My mom and I came here for super late dinner @ 10:30pm and surprisingly there were a good amount of customers. We had the $25 dinner for 2 which has the appetizer to share and 2 dinners. While my mom had the fiesta lime chicken which came out piping hot and was very delicious, I ordered the classic cheeseburger served with a side of semi cold fries. Since the pandemic it's becoming increasing more challenging to get quality food. So I suppose I should not have been too surprised by the lack of quality from my to go order tonight. I requested that all burgers in my order be cooked with "no pink". Now I eat enough burgers to know that sometimes a little pink may be present, which although I'm not crazy about I can accept. HOWEVER...the burger I received tonight was inedible, as it was freaking "raw" inside.
