I don't usually leave reviews for chain restaurants, but I was really impressed with my server. Jennifer was very attentive and explained the menu items to me when I asked because I haven't been to Denny's in a while. Came back to check on me and made sure I was happy with my food. Very patient and polite. Food came out quickly and my eggs were cooked perfect! So props to the chef too! Coffee never went empty! All around good experience. We had a good family dinner here. The service was good, the food was plentiful and of good quality. Being around dinner time, we were surprised that we and only one other party was in the restaurant. This Murrieta location is somewhat tucked away in the back of a strip mall parking lot. It seemed obvious that this restaurant's location reduced the number of patrons. My wife and I waited 10-mintutes before someone acknowledge us and sat us down. Riight next to a table with loud kids and kids running around as if it was a playground. 50% Denny's fault, they should have asked the parents to sit the children down and control them. And yes, we did move to the other side of the restaurant. Second, the woman behind the counter cooking had long hair and wasn't wearing anything sanitary or hat related. Once we saw that and wiping off her hot face from sweat, we were done eating and left. Once the person sat us down, he was friendly and as they say, "Johnny on the spot" with the service. Be aware that this Dennys is charging 50 cents extra for every egg dish. We were not informed of the added charge. The manager's excuse was the menus were not updated yet and the high cost of eggs was being passed on to customers. We should have been informed of the price increase before ordering. Waitress rolled her eyes says I'll get it came back 27 minutes later tosses it on the table. Wait 40 min later to order as we're leaving she comes over to take an order out out. My wife and I decided to try Denny's for breakfast today. We've been disappointed with breakfasts at some other restaurants so we were a little hesitant but we were very happy with our food choices. We often eat Breakfast/Lunch at this location, especially on Sundays after Church. Several times, we have noticed non-service dogs in the restaurant, and are getting quite annoyed that they allow them in the restaurant. We have 3 dogs at home, and they are not allowed in the dining room, especially when we are eating. Very disgusting to have to eat with non-essential dogs in the restaurant. read more

I've visited this particular Denny's about 4-5 times. Even though I have one closer to me, this Denny's has always given me friendly, skillful service along with generous portions of great food. I've only had the vegetarian omelet, hash-browns or the Mama D's Pot Roast bowl but they are both generous portions, cooked to my preference (well-done hash-browns) and satisfying. Good amount of meat in the pot roast and lots of veggies in the omelets. I'll continue going out of my way for this place. Good job! read more

I used to love Denny's for breakfast. Ordered delivery today and I have never been so disappointed in a breakfast. I ordered a veggie omelette and to my dismay, the eggs were extremely dry and spongy which leads me to believe that they weren't fresh eggs but in fact, eggs out of a carton. The hash browns tasted stale. Only thing I can give them props in is their gluten free English muffin was great so, not a total bust. Also, the omelette wasn't a traditional omelette. It was what seemed to be boxed egg with veggies underneath. So the cook needs a lesson in the art of omelette making. I am just flabbergasted by the lack of quality in restaurants these days. We came here late at night with my mom when everything else was closed. To be honest, Denny's is not my first choice, but we were pleasantly surprised. Our server greeted us and treated us great, I wish I could remember his name but he was Latino and looked to be in his mid 20's. We ordered our food and it was perfectly cooked and looked even better than the pictures on the menu. I was pleasantly surprised by the taste of the food as well. I am definitely going to start coming here more with my family. It was quick, delicious, and affordable and the service was better than I get at much fancier places. We came here late night with a large group after a party. They quickly gave us menus , waters and drinks. The food came out in a timely matter. I ordered the steak and shrimp plate with choice of two sides. I requested for medium rare, and it came out over cooked and dry. I only took a couple bites and gave it away. That would be my only complaint. The shrimp was nice and crispy. The corn was good. And the hash browns were good. I have had mixed experience with this Denny's. And it's moreso based on the service than the food. It's American diner food so it's not like it's anything difficult, I think what sets a restaurant like this above other similar establishments is the service and this Denny's in particular is subpar in that category. When ordering carryout I have stood in their lobby for sometimes upwards of 5 minutes while my food is done and sitting in the bag in their kitchen. During this time I am waiting for one of them to notice me. This has happened multiple times. It's not an overly huge deal but can be annoying for sure. Denny's is so much more than just breakfast. I meet here for lunch once a week and the food is always good. They have some great sizzling skillets - try the Bourbon Chicken, one of my faves. This restaurant is recently renovated. The owner is often present and everything is nice and clean. read more
