Went here last night with my family, sadly will be the last time we go for a while. There service has been getting worse over the last few months. But last night we were not treated well. The waitress check on us 3 times, that was includeding to give us our bill. We had to get up and ask for others to get us drink refills because she was not around. She didn't bring us our food. Then she didn't even remember my sister's boy friend having a drink even though she took his cup off the table not asking if he wanted it refilled. This review is for pick up not for eating in the restaurant. Ordered a 9.99 two appetizer quesadilla and a 2 for twenty appetizer and two entrees. We enjoyed the sirloin steak and also the shrimp and chicken. Service was pretty quick considering they were rather busy. Good value for the amount of food received. I don't know what's happened to Applebee's over the last few years, but they just stink now. Nice atmosphere, excellent wait staff...but portions vs cost...incredible!!! And I don't mean on the good side. Ordered a salad, which was close to $14.00. It was just 4 ounces of lettuce, and only 1/2 of a chicken breast. My friend ordered the Thai Salad - equally puny and expensive. We refused to eat them and called the manager to our table to discuss the situation. Manager was very defensive. She mentioned that "we have to explain this over and over to people" about how the salad only has 4 ounces of lettuce...as if this was something that was going to make it okay to sell me a tiny salad for $14.00! When I asked if she'd comp the ticket, she ignored me and continued with the cagey explanations. We left and went to Stuffy's ll and got full on the lunch for way less than what two tiny salads would have cost us at Applebee's. The Applebee's management in Longview might not be indicative of all of them, but the menu items are...and based on this and one other bad experience I had with this same place 3 years ago, I will never, ever, visit an Applebee's again...anywhere. We left the waitress a huge tip just because we felt so bad for her...it must be embarrassing to have to have such a poor menu to work with. This restaurant is just terrible. I would never refer anyone there. If you go to Applebee's in Longview, I can guarantee you will not be "eating good in the neighborhood" for a reasonable price! Granted, it's been several years since I've been to an Applebee's, but I remember it being a lot better than this. The food is all greasy, and most things are more calories than a person should consume in a day, much less a single meal. There is not a single meatless entree on the menu (and the only things on the menu that are meatless are deep-fried appetizers). The waitress was friendly enough, and happy to fill me in on the things that I was able to eat which were not on the menu. I left feeling like I'd eaten too much, and like puking might be imminent. We have been to this Applebee's quite a bit, usually for their happy hour deal. My husband and I met some friends there last night. The service was horrible. The waitress took forever to take our order then took another forever to get it to us. The place was not very busy. When she finally brought the drinks my husband wanted to order some food too. He started to tell her what he wanted and she turned and walked away. My husband wasn't very thrilled with her rude behavior. When she finally came back he told her he didn't want to order because he didn't appreciate her attitude. Rather than apologize she got the manager. The manager talked to us for awhile but she barely apologized either. I always thought the customer came first, but apparently not at this Applebee's! read more

I was very disappointed to receive my classic clubhouse grill sandwich not grilled, even more disappointed to find the bread had been burned to a black crisp and then turned inside out so it didn't show except for the edges. I gotta be honest this Applebees really needs to work on how they run certain things here I went and it was just party of 2 and of a 15 minute wait. the bar was completely empty and there was like 10 or more available tables in the dining area. And your not allowed to bring in your own water bottle at less you dumped it. They wouldn't serve you food at the bar which made 0 sense that's what a bar is also for. They only would serve drinks at the bar. They were swinging a bunch of red flags and they had like 5 hosts working all up front when it wasn't that busy there was a bunch of empty clean tables. Made 0 sense specially when you can't bring in your own water bottle. The really need to work on how they work there employees I mean managers are usually always understanding which is good but they really need to work on how they work with there servers and hosts and we had a very grouchy server I think the server was grouchy because allowed to still be able to get the happy hour. And a lot of the hosts just make excuses on stupid things or are either just grouchy. They really need to pull it together. The star is for my waiter, who was just distant enough to not pry into my personal life and not be annoying while providing good service. Outside of that, it was all trash. I was at Applebee's LONGVIEW yesterday and had a terrible experience!! My food had a long hair in it... Service was so slow. The manager gave me a fake 'sorry for the hair', but didn't attempt to make my experience any better. Also the food was disgusting, I wouldn't even feed it to my dog!! you can tell that the chicken and ribs we had ordered were just taken out of the freezer and put in the microwave!!! Applebee's in Longview is a great place to meet friends and family for dinner. The service is always good and friendly. The food is consistently good and at a great value. Gotta love the half priced apptetizers during the hours of 4-6pm and again after 9pm. There are options for whatever kind of diet you might be on - with weight watchers meals on the menu with listed points values as well as an under 550 calorie menu. I would highly recommend the Asiago & Peppercorn steak from this menu - delicious! The dessert shooters are a great ending to any meal - just the right size to satisfy your sweet tooth without overdoing it. read more

I used to love coming here but tonight has changed my mind for good. First I will start with saying I came in with my husband and 5 year old son, they sat us at a table surrounded by teenagers. Not the idea I had for dinner with my family but then it gets worse the waitress proceeds to call me MOM the whole time. I'm 30 and she just made me feel way older. I did not like that, besides the food not having much flavor and my husbands plate of chicken cavaletta or however you spell it was missing all the tomatos that was suppose to be in it, the waitress did not offer or ask to get us a refill at all. We ate dinner with NO DRINKS. She was to concerned with what the teenage boys where doing at the table next to us. In fact she tried to hand them our change from our bill. Waitress rushed us while ordering, did not ask which sauce for the ribs and did not ask what was wanted on the baked potatoes. Salad was drenched in dressing, the bbq sauce was too spicy for my daughter, chips were so stale I could have broke a tooth. Ordered brownie bites and they came 20 minutes later with melted ice cream and hard hot brownies. I asked them to fix the order of baked potatoes before it was made but it still came with sour cream and no cheese. The lady in the bar was unbelievable. She was such in a hurry that she did not make time to make me welcome for dining at this establishment. After 15 mins we finally got our orders put in. We waited and waited for our food. No waitress. She did not take any time to check with us. We were so hungry by the time we got our food. We had to wait 30-40 mins, and by the time someone else brought us our lunch there weren't any silverware to eat our meal. We waited 10 more minutes, and the waitress was busy chatting with her friends than checking with her customers. We did not even get a chance to eat our lunch, so we walked out with the food sitting on the table. We decided to head over to Quiznos. Went to Applebee's tonight and the service was terrible. The waitress had a 9 top table behind us, and if she couldn't service all her tables maybe she should have asked for help. Mine and my sisters drinks ran out and she was no where to be seen. She had someone else run out our food, and when I informed him that we needed mustard and the kitchen forgot my tomato on my burger he looked like a deer caught in headlights. Then he told us he just delivers the food and he would go get our waitress. She dropped off the tomato on a plate as she walked by. She didn't stop and ask us if we needed anything. We had to flag down someone else to get steak sauce for my boyfriend. I had to get up and get extra napkins from the drink napkin basket for myself. She asked the 9 top behind us 4 times if they needed refills on their drinks or anything else. At the end of the meal she walked up grabbed our dirty plates and told us she was going to get our check. At which point I was pissed. I looked at her and said I would like dessert. She rolled her eyes then gave me a dirty look and asked me what I wanted. I got my dessert and then she gave us the little tablet thing to pay. I gave her a 4 percent tip, We pushed to get a printed receipt we waited another 5 minutes and then left. She chased us down outside to give us our receipt and another dirty look. Very disappointed with experience at Applebee's in Longview, WA last night. I've been dieting and this was going to be my first night dining out since I started my diet. I chose Applebee's because I know they have options for healthier meals. I ordered the pepper crusted sirloin with whole grains and my husband ordered a sirloin steak with baked potato. My husband's baked potato was cold and he sent it back to get a hot one. His steak was Luke warm and had no flavor. My meal was tasteless and cold also. There was no flavor at all. If you closed your eyes and did not know it was steak you were eating, you would not know what this tasteless piece of meat was. My husband and I then ordered the brownie bites which was to compensate for the cold tasteless meal we just ate. When the waitress came to collect for our meal, and asked how our meal was. I told her that except for the brownie bites, the meal was disappointing. She said she was sorry and said before I cash you out, let me tell my manager. Keep in mind that I did not ask to have my meal compesated, I was just letting her know what I thought of the meal. The manager came out a few minutes later. Put my debit card and bill on the table and walked away. I looked down at the receipt and saw that she had comped the two brownie bites that were 1.49 each. It was the rudest thing I have ever had happened at a restaurant. She did not speak one word to us. Not I'm sorry you meal was disappointing and cold or I hope you come back and we can make it better next time or anything. I've never seen a manager act in that manner. I felt so bad for the waiter. He was a very good server, but as we sat at our table, we watched him run around frantically trying to make up for the cooks mistakes. The food was absolutely disgusting. I was disappointed that there is only one vegetarian entree option, which is a veggie burger. My bun was dry. The lettuce was soaking wet. I got four onion rings on the side. My honey liked his burger, but his fries had the texture of cardboard. As if they were baked in the oven for a very long time. At one point, our server asked us how the food was and we just broke out in laughter. I will NEVER eat at Applebees again.
