Applebee's is our go-to restaurant in Lebanon. Our visit today was exceptional. We ordered boneless wings and chicken skillet with waffle fries. We couldn't believe how fast our orders came out. Food was fantastic, with the exception of our chicken skillet. It had so much grease in it, that it was standing on our plate. Totally grease logged. Outside that, the food was excellent! Our waiter, Mark G was a great waiter. Very courteous, polite, and was always checking to make sure we had everything we needed. My only complaint was the oil. We used to order the bourbon chicken and shrimp, and we quit ordering it because of too much oil in it. I wish they would cut back on the amount of oil used to cook those specific meals in. It didn't hurt the taste, just all that oil is too much on my tummy. With all that being said, we still love Applebee's and will keep going back. We'll just order something else. read more

My kid ordered wings and mozzarella sticks because she thought the wings were going to be the normal cheap, small wings. These are the biggest wings I've seen in a restaurant, and I've been to a few around the world being military. This is in Lebanon, Missouri. The service sucked and was slow the food was bang average and not even acceptable we were a party of 3 and went there for dessert and appetizers pretty simple right? No it wasn't our server was like a ghost that only came around if you got their attention we were there for almost 2 hours i ordered a piña colada which should be simple to make but no it took 30 minutes during that time everyone wroking at the bar was just talking and not working when our food finally got here only one of the 3 appetizers came and after 20 minutes the other 2 came we never got any more napkins and if we didn't get out server's attention we would never have gotten refils the ambience was absolutely abysmal we couldn't hear each other because the music was so loud we didn't know the whole restaurant was a bar when we ordered dessert we were supposed to have Carmel on one of the dishes but we didn't and it was uncooked in some parts the worst part about it was 1 of us didn't even get a knife so to summarize if i had to choose i would rather eat an MRE than ever eat at Applebee's again thank you for reading i hope this is informative and saves you from a terrible experience read more

Come here for the service not the food. I was impressed at how efficient the one day shift bartender/waitress was at keeping up with everyone's orders, drinks and being very informative and hospitable. I ordered the AYCE boneless wings and while the sauce was decent it could have been prepared a little better and some of the wings were a little cold. It seemed as though the cook may have been cooking them ahead of time in preparation for the next order but not keeping them warm. Also, the blue cheese dressing was about the worst I have ever tried but the ranch is spot on. It tastes like Newman's own Ranch which is the best Ranch dressing available IMO. None of the above would deter me from patronizing this restaurant again though due to the quality of service I received there. 5 stars for the service and 3 stars for the food so it averages out to 4 stars overall. read more

This is the worst service ever! Bartender with red hair and white eyeliner waited on us and we weren't even sitting near the bar!!! This place is horrible. Bad service and disgusting, questionable food. We came in for lunch while driving cross country in the hopes of a fresh salad and a good sandwich. We sat at the bar with the thought of having quicker service so we could get right back on the road, yeah that didn't work out. The three guys already sitting there started to complain pretty quickly about their wait for the food. It had apparently been about 26 minutes since they ordered. No one should wait that long for lunch at a damn Applebee's. Our food ended up arriving about 20 minutes late and when I started eating my salad, it was clear that it had just been tossed together with ZERO care put into it. There were miscellaneous items that were not meant to be there (celery ends, olives (gross) and dead lettuce that was turning brown), also the chicken was Barely cut, they were cube like but still attached to one another as if the person cutting wasnt doing it hard enough or their knife wasn't very sharp. I lost my appetite very quickly when I started to wonder about the cleanliness of their kitchen if they were going to allow such random items into my food. Granted, the manager did come over and apologize and pay for my and my friend's meal, but this was only After I had to call over the bartender to let her know there was something wrong. We stopped in on a Sunday afternoon for lunch as Lebanon was a halfway meeting point for me and my girlfriend. We were greeted right away and seated. It then took the waitress 16 minutes to take our DRINK order! We watched 3 other table get drink and food orders taken that were seated after us. She finally came over and said she didn't know that it was her table and that she was new. OK. Well numerous other staff members walked by and said nothing. Oh it continues. We put in our food and drink order at the same time since we had 16 minutes to look over the menu. We got an appetizer and 2 lunch entrees. 32 minutes later (yes we timed it) we received our app. Chips were so greasy that they were borderline soggy. 18 minutes after the app our meals came and I had no complaints with those. They were great as in any other Applebee's. Our lunch entrees were fine but the service is awful. Applebee's will always be a favorite of mine, but not at this particular location. read more

I have never had a pleasant dining experience at this Applebee's. Historically, I have been disappointed with either their food, the service, or both 100% of the time. My most recent dining experience was no exception. Our table had a new server who wasn't familiar with the menu, which is understandable to a point, but the menu should probably be part of the new employee training at a restaurant chain the magnitude of Applebee's. The food took entirely too long to arrive, and when it did much of it was cold. My wife's grilled vegetables were barely warmed and solid through to the center, and her steak was overdone and tough. The bun on my son's cheeseburger was stale, and the meat party was dry and shriveled. My steak, cooked to perfection at medium rare, still managed to be exceedingly dry and rubbery as though it was freezer burnt--there weren't any juices pooling in the plate...it was bone dry. At the end of our meal I walked our son to the restroom, and I was abhorred by the state of the facilities. The restroom looked just like it was borrowed from quintessential roadside gas station--there was a white scum growing up the sides of the stalls, the floor was dirty, one of the urinals was overflowing of some unidentifiable greenish muck, and the washing area was dirty and dilapidated. read more

I would have to say this is the worst of the Applebees I've been to. The food is generally mediocre, not that I've never had a good meal there, but never great. The biggest thing that keeps us away is that the place is just too slow. I've never been able to go there during a lunch hour without being late back to work, and dinner is always much slower than other comparable restaurants. read more

This was our go to place at one time to meet family. No more. We had the worst meal ever today. My mother and sister ordered the 2 for $25.00 meal. The appetizer onion rings were fine. The salads were fine. Three of us ordered baked potatoes. They were so over cooked, yellow, slimy and watery that none of us had more than one bite. Steaks were ordered medium. They were served overdone, dried up and actually looked reheated. We sent one back and after a lengthy wait, a second steak arrived that was rubbery and tasteless. We just left it all. Our waitress (Tiffany) was absolutely amazing! Best waitress I've had in a long time. I have them four stars because the service was amazing, but the food was over cooked. The wontons on the chicken wonton taco's were way over cooked and my father and I both ordered medium steaks and both came out well done. The restaurant was clean. Food was average, more like fast food in a restaurant. Left a cash tip on the table and paid with a debit card. Server decided to treat themselves an additional $5.00 tip on our card which we found out about when we got our bank statement. The previous time we paid using the remaining balance on a gift card and paid the remaining balance on our debit card. They charged the full amount to our debit card and have no idea where the money from the gift card went, I guess they pocketed it. Would advise paying with cash here! read more

APRIL WAS AMAZING!! This place deserves more than the 2 stars it has just for her. I went in for lunch 2 separate days over the course of 4 days and sat at the bar and she helped me both times. She felt terrible for not remembering my name the 2nd time but I didnt expect that she would, but that's just how she is, she loves to get to know everyone and pretty much knew all her customers at the bar on a first name basis. One of her regulars even asked her how she could remember everyone's name. The food was great too. They had some great affordable lunch specials with lots of different choices. We drove halfway to Lebanon to meet some friends for a nice dinner on a Friday night and we were told 20 minute wait, finally 45 minutes later I asked when we would get a table and he said he didn't know, went and got a manager and she said I can sit you at two separate tables but that's it. Today we decided to take our two children out to eat this afternoon. We waited 10 minutes before anyone asked us what we wanted to drink and we ordered a couple appetizers which took an additional twenty minutes to get the appetizers and thirty minutes more after that to get our meals which were horrible. I could understand the wait if they were busy. Unfortunately they were not maybe ten couples there. It's not like they were short on wait staff either there were six waitresses a hostess and a bartender and all but two decided talking was more important than the customers. I will not go back a complete waste of time and money especially in this economy. I guess good customer service is no longer required in this day and age it's just sad. read more

Absolute worst dining experience ever. Had a party of 9, waitress could not keep orders straight. She came back and reconfirmed several times and still it was all mixed up. And our order was completely wrong. Not what we ordered at all. So we waited for our meal while everyone else finished their meals. Ours finally came. The manager even came out to get everything straight. It was the 2 for 20 butchers special. The meat was so tough I couldn't eat most of it. I even chipped a tooth. I was shocked when the bill came and there was no adjustment. I didn't ask or complain. I paid the bill and left. But that in itself was a joke, tryed charging us twice. My wife and I had a really bad experience at this one. We were traveling back from the Great Lakes to the deep south following a funeral for a family member. My meal was undercooked. And my wife's order was wrong. We couldn't even get a hot cup of water without sending it back. Ordered my steak M/R it arrived extra rare, tough and chewy. The veggies weren't cooked, either. Management threw us a ten percent discount. Still the meal was lousy. I wrote a complaint on their corporate site. To their credit, the manager called me the next day and offered a refund. Just today I got a $10 gift certificate---hardly a "refund". Plus, it's only good for about 4 weeks, and only at the Lebanon, MO location. As I'm Texas, I'll not be driving 400 miles to take them up on their offer by Aug. 18th. Duh! read more
