That's pretty fortuitous since it was 100°+F outside. Overall it looked like parking was a smidge limited, so I'd imagine if this place is busy, you might have a bit of trouble finding a spot. We hit the shift change, but our waitress was prompt and had drinks (hello Guinness) for us pretty quickly. Sidenote though, sitting close to the door when it's really hot out can prove a bit uncomfortable with people entering/exiting and being blasted with heat. We started with an order of fried pickle spears, which were tasty, but fell apart after a bit or two and were fairly messy. Mom and I opted for an order of the chicken and waffles each. It looked significant in the pictures, but having not really eaten all day, I was feeling ambitious. Mom failed to eat half of hers. At the expense of my waistline, I was able to devour the entirety of the 4x millionaire's-esque bacon strips, 3x waffles, 2x fried chicken breasts, and the orange maple syrup (which was unique and fantastic). Overall, while it was pretty good, it was more of an exercise in quantity over quality. I can't even fathom a dessert after this size of meal. This was closer to a 4.5 star experience, but next time I'd probably want to do something with a smaller portion to save room for cheesecake and an Irish coffee.

But Palasota's Is Just Too Good Not…read moreto Share If you're headed to a concert at the Ozarks Amphitheater, do yourself a favor and swing by Palasota's in Camdenton. Just minutes away from the venue, it's hands-down one of the best places to eat in the entire lake area. The slow-smoked ribs and brisket are next-level -- tender, smoky, and packed with flavor. The smoked chicken is another favorite, and I always order extra just so I can make homemade nachos the next day. Trust me -- they're off the hook. But the half-pound sandwiches? That's where I get in trouble. The bread-to-meat ratio is perfect, and the portions are huge. Honestly, if I don't stop myself, they'll have to roll me out the door. I usually save half for later... but sometimes "later" ends up being 15 minutes in the car. Friendly service, fair prices, and food that never misses. Whether you're a local or just visiting for a show, Palasota's is a hidden gem worth finding. Just don't tell too many people -- we're trying to keep it our secret.

Our favorite are the original trashed wings. They are spicy, but with ranch the flavor and crispyness hits the spot. My favorite thing is the ribbies and wings. For $17 you get 4 ribs and 5 wings. It was the perfect amount of food for me and a steal for ribs and wings. I tried the chipotle BBQ and I also loved this flavor. Still spicy, but not as firey as the original. We also ordered some onion rings for an appetizer. They are thick! I am more of a fan of thinner onion rings, but these were still good and I loved the sauce. It was decently busy when we went, but our service was just okay. Our server took a little bit to take our order and bring us the check which we understood since it was busy, but there were larger parties that got sat after us, that were in and out before we were. Overall, we really enjoyed our food and it's a great place to stop for some BBQ.

I decided to get a smoked salmon wrap with a side salad and bacon wrapped prawns. For $17.99 I do have to say those five little prawns weren't worth it. It's crazy how overpriced those are to be honest. The smoked salmon wrap was really good, but felt like it was missing something. I believe I read they smoked the salmon in house... which is awesome! But it was definitely lacking some pizzazz. One of these days I'll have to go back and try some of the barbecued foods... or the smoked turkey, which also sounds really good. I sat at the bar and service was super fast and friendly. Inside was western themed, and the place had a lot of people in it, was loud and busy, so I know it's worth giving it another try.

We chose to dine at this restaurant due to its favorable Yelp ratings and its reputation for serving large cinnamon rolls. However, it is important to note that the restaurant operates until 2:00 PM. We arrived at approximately 11:30 AM, but unfortunately, they did not have any cinnamon rolls available. My boyfriend and I reside in Kansas City and had spent the weekend exploring the Ozarks. To our dismay, the cinnamon rolls were the whole reason we came. This was particularly disappointing, as we had also ordered a side of cheese curds, which were still frozen despite having been deep-fried. The majority of the food items appeared to have been prepared from canned or boxed ingredients.
