That's pretty fortuitous since it was 100°+F outside. Overall it looked like parking was a smidge limited, so I'd imagine if this place is busy, you might have a bit of trouble finding a spot. We hit the shift change, but our waitress was prompt and had drinks (hello Guinness) for us pretty quickly. Sidenote though, sitting close to the door when it's really hot out can prove a bit uncomfortable with people entering/exiting and being blasted with heat. We started with an order of fried pickle spears, which were tasty, but fell apart after a bit or two and were fairly messy. Mom and I opted for an order of the chicken and waffles each. It looked significant in the pictures, but having not really eaten all day, I was feeling ambitious. Mom failed to eat half of hers. At the expense of my waistline, I was able to devour the entirety of the 4x millionaire's-esque bacon strips, 3x waffles, 2x fried chicken breasts, and the orange maple syrup (which was unique and fantastic). Overall, while it was pretty good, it was more of an exercise in quantity over quality. I can't even fathom a dessert after this size of meal. This was closer to a 4.5 star experience, but next time I'd probably want to do something with a smaller portion to save room for cheesecake and an Irish coffee.

This Stewart's is on the west side of the lake and what a nice addition to Camdenton. We had a great breakfast there, the pork tenderloin is HUGE and very, very good. It's true, the place/decor is somewhat stark and plain, but we didn't go there to critique the furnishings. Our food came in a timely fashion, our server was professional but not chatty and she refilled our drinks promptly. My husband has a breakfast sandwich that he said was as good as the ones I make him (WTH :-p) and he was stoked. The cinnamon rolls are still the big 20 pounders like the ones in the origninal STewart's and like the original Stewarts, they are still too big and too tough. Oh well, I tried...everything else we had was legit. read more

We arrived at approximately 11:30 AM, but unfortunately, they did not have any cinnamon rolls available. My boyfriend and I reside in Kansas City and had spent the weekend exploring the Ozarks. To our dismay, the cinnamon rolls were the whole reason we came. This was particularly disappointing, as we had also ordered a side of cheese curds, which were still frozen despite having been deep-fried. The majority of the food items appeared to have been prepared from canned or boxed ingredients.
