We visited the Malted Monkey and really enjoyed our experience. Despite not going in the ropes…read morecourse, it was really cool to watch others try it out. When we were there, the staff was all women and everybody was very kind and gave great suggestions. I thought that the food was decently priced and I wasn't too hungry so I ended up splitting the grilled cheese with my daughter. It was really tasty and they had crispy Parmesan cheese coating the bread on the outside. We ended up splitting a larger size s'mores milkshake and it was delicious. The price of the milkshakes is a little steep, but you do get quite a large pour and they definitely make it look pretty!

The patio below gave a nice view point of the ropes course while being cooled down by misters and drinking adult milkshakes. The milkshakes were delicious, though I was super surprised by the addition of peanut butter in my Cinna'rum Crunch shake as it was not a listed ingredient, which could have been dangerous for someone with a peanut allergy. (Which is why I'm giving 3 stars instead of 5) . Our waitress was friendly and did try to get answers about the peanut butter in my shake but seemed to not understand my concern and neither did the people who made it. So be aware if you have an allergy as not all ingredients are listed nor are the staff concerned with possible allergies.

It was a little slow because they were so busy but they had a dude playing guitar and singing songs. Absolutely worth the wait and essential to end your day on the lake.

That's pretty fortuitous since it was 100°+F outside. Overall it looked like parking was a smidge limited, so I'd imagine if this place is busy, you might have a bit of trouble finding a spot. We hit the shift change, but our waitress was prompt and had drinks (hello Guinness) for us pretty quickly. Sidenote though, sitting close to the door when it's really hot out can prove a bit uncomfortable with people entering/exiting and being blasted with heat. We started with an order of fried pickle spears, which were tasty, but fell apart after a bit or two and were fairly messy. Mom and I opted for an order of the chicken and waffles each. It looked significant in the pictures, but having not really eaten all day, I was feeling ambitious. Mom failed to eat half of hers. At the expense of my waistline, I was able to devour the entirety of the 4x millionaire's-esque bacon strips, 3x waffles, 2x fried chicken breasts, and the orange maple syrup (which was unique and fantastic). Overall, while it was pretty good, it was more of an exercise in quantity over quality. I can't even fathom a dessert after this size of meal. This was closer to a 4.5 star experience, but next time I'd probably want to do something with a smaller portion to save room for cheesecake and an Irish coffee.
