This time I went for the all beef Chicago style hot dogs. They were wrapped in a thick piece of sliced sour dough, with good a large amount of toppings. I thought it was going to be the time for the food to shine. Alas, no. The dogs were "warm" and the bread was soggy. The toppings were good. The fries were crispy and had good flavor. My son got the pulled pork sandwich. He said it tasted good and the bread was toasted and crunchy. There is a bar and you can get flights of beer and mixed drinks. It has a cool vibe and is clean. Our server was friendly and pretty fast. The menu is not the same in person as the one shown on the website. The new smaller menu is a little sparse. I'm sure we will return because my kids like it, and I will continue to hope it doesn't follow its monicker's path.

We hit the shift change, but our waitress was prompt and had drinks (hello Guinness) for us pretty quickly. Sidenote though, sitting close to the door when it's really hot out can prove a bit uncomfortable with people entering/exiting and being blasted with heat. We started with an order of fried pickle spears, which were tasty, but fell apart after a bit or two and were fairly messy. Mom and I opted for an order of the chicken and waffles each. It looked significant in the pictures, but having not really eaten all day, I was feeling ambitious. Mom failed to eat half of hers. At the expense of my waistline, I was able to devour the entirety of the 4x millionaire's-esque bacon strips, 3x waffles, 2x fried chicken breasts, and the orange maple syrup (which was unique and fantastic). Overall, while it was pretty good, it was more of an exercise in quantity over quality. I can't even fathom a dessert after this size of meal. This was closer to a 4.5 star experience, but next time I'd probably want to do something with a smaller portion to save room for cheesecake and an Irish coffee.
