Service is great. Prices are very reasonable. Food is classic bar food done well but not sure where the reviews are coming from. Its mid. Music and people are enjoyable. Biggest issue for me is the smoke is pretty rough at last 6 people smoking at a given time in a small space. If you aren't allergic it's a pretty cool place to come. read more

My husband wanted to try the broasted chicken so we ordered the 6 piece dinner and shared it. It came with slaw & broasted potato wedges. It was the most bland broasted chicken we've ever had. It looked good but it sure didn't have much flavor. The service was fine & it appeared clean , but we won't be going back. read more

I read about their broasted chicken and wanted to try it. The smoke was so bad I couldn't get through a beer and had to leave. Our clothes smelled so bad after leaving we took them off as soon as we got home to wash them. With as much smoke was in this place I wouldn't even order take out. read more

I have always enjoyed Scuttlebutts and have brought several people here over the years. So today, March 23rd, 2024 was a 6-year Celebration and they were offering a two-piece Fried Chicken dinner for $6.00. I came in and ordered the dinner and asked for all white meat. I was told the deal was for mixed chicken, so I went ahead and ordered the two-piece dinner for the regular price of $7.99 and a coke. I was told it would take 30 mins which was no problem, we all know that it takes awhile to cook chicken. While I waited, I had to flag your waitress down to get a refill as she was busy playing WII bowling. Ok, no problem, it was a chill Saturday. When the meal came it was mixed, a wing and a thigh. I called the waitress back and she at first tried to tell me that a thigh was white meat, but then realized it wasn't and went back to rectify this. During the additional 25-minute wait, I ate my French fries and drank my coke. The chicken came and it was good, so much so I asked if the cook was all caught up with chicken orders, was told he was, so I ordered another two piece all white to go, no fries no slaw, just chicken, and waited another 25 minutes. When the bill came, it was over $28.00. I was charged the regular price of $7.99 plus a $4.00 upcharge for all white on each meal. I don't find this excessive; I find it abusive. Our friends and I and my husband came into town and decided to try Scuttlebutt Bar and Grill. Friendly waitress, clean inside. Menu easy to read. Not a whole lot of items, but enough for the type of establishment. We ordered the portobello mushrooms and wings for our app. The mushrooms were great and the wings were tasty, but kinda small. Our meals consisted of 3 pork tenderloin sandwiches with sidewinder fries and 1 fish and sidewinder fries. My sandwhich came out and I realized mine was burnt. I tried taking the breading off but it was just burnt. The 2 other pork tenderloin plates were perfectly cooked to golden perfection. The fish and chips were also perfect. When the waitress came around to see how we were doing, I requested a new pork tenderloin. She took my plate back to the kitchen. She returned to our table and looked at me and said "we won't be making you a new sandwhich because it wasn't burnt and you ate half of it" I couldn't believe she said that. I didn't eat any of it. The owner/manager didn't want to talk to us but allowed my male friend to come to the back of the kitchen. He calmly stated that the sandwhich was burnt and that I hadn't taken one bite of it. She got smart with him and stated the grease was too hot so it happens sometimes it gets overly done. My friend said why would you send that out to a customer?? She then accused us of wanting a free meal. Finally the manager said the bill was free and to leave the premises. All they had to do was say they didn't have anymore tenderloins and order something else. They caused the ruckus by saying i ate half the sandwhich. Totally unprofessional. The customer is always right within reason. We will never go there again and will be sure to let all of our boating crew to not dine there either. read more

We were traveling thru and just needed a lil snack and a couple drinks. Happened to be trivia night and this was fun to watch. Drinks were well made and under normal price for being close to the lake. Ate some warm pretzel snacks served with Queso cheese which were excellent. We really enjoyed the place and the owner and employees welcomed us like we were part of their locals! read more

Had the good fortune to attend a dart tournament here yesterday. Not only were the drinks fast and very fairly priced, we were treated like we'd been going there for years. My steak sandwich was delicious and stuffed so full that I almost needed a knife and fork! All the stars and looking forward to an opportunity to come back! read more

The fried chicken is PERFECT! For anyone that remembers Roams, this is the closest I've had to it! The servers are friendly and welcoming!

Food is delicious, I had the broasted chicken, it was the best ever. Great bar and atmosphere. I would recommend it to anyone.
