Did some research for a good breakfast spot and didn't find very many options. I decided to try this small diner on the docks of a resort. Although there aren't many reviews or pictures, if you're looking for simple good food, this is the place! This place delivered great, home-cooked food! This is a no-frills, small menu diner that is done simply and really well! Came two days in a row while staying at the lake breeze resort! Really kind, genuine people. Two kids helping with taking orders, serving food and beverages,cleaning tables, and register work. I was really happy with the food: Biscuits and Gravy-good sausage and creamy flavor with a perfect amount followed onto some basic biscuits. I absolutely love to see new local businesses that are family owned and operated. Chesnie's is a charming little cafe/diner right on the water and is conveniently located in a campground! Hands down the best burger I've ever had at the lake! It's no wonder too, the owner, a former fire fighter, definitely knows how to grill 'em!!! Polite, clean, and friendly establishment. Chesnie's is a prime spot for fishermen to get breakfast before heading out or lunch when getting back in! They serve home cooked style breakfasts that are delicious and filling! Inside there is an enclosed area to fish in, which was very cool! Definitely stop by this place when camping or when you're out in the water! They offer dockside service! The Bucks burger has always been one of the best burgers on the lake and they are still serving it here! This is a little floating joint in the same cove as Bulldogs Beachhouse. There are tables and chairs inside and out and you can also order to go. Which is what we do, and we eat on the boat. It is not a wild crazy loud lake spot. Little but very clean and just good food! The burgers and really good and cooked when ordered, but we love the Corn Nuggets! You get a huge basket full, the fries are also plentiful and not soggy! Perfect for a stop when your hungry and don't want to bother with the big noisy busy lakeside restaurants! read more

Great place on the lake! A different vibe than most, smaller with less seating and less uppy which is what makes it so good! Chesnie herself is young and has a great funny personality. This restaurant is one of the best I've been to in a while. Right as we walked in the door we were immediately greeted and sat down, no wait or anything. When we ordered our food was out very quick. It was just amazing. The burger was perfectly cooked and steaming hot. The onion rings were delicious and I was very impressed by everything. For how quick our food was prepared it was excellent. I'd give it six stars if I could. This is a no-frills (think paper plates), great-tasting diner, and the prices can't be beat. If you're tired of crappy, expensive food at the other restaurants on the lake, give Chesnie's a try. We went for breakfast and ended up going back for dinner. Note: The map shows it in the wrong location.....it's actually right next to Bulldogs's Beach House on the water. The pancakes were thick and fluffy, the biscuits and gravy had great flavor. For dinner, we had the 1/3 pound cheeseburgers and they were fantastic. Better yet -- Chesnie herself is only 13, and she's the waitress. She could run circles around other servers in the lake area.
