Wow! What a surprise, this place was packed on a Saturday morning when we stopped by and all the staff was so helpful, 20 minute wait was only 10. Everything was neat and clean with fun inspiration messages all around. Service was outstanding, Graham, our server was super knowledgeable of the menu and very helpful, you should request his section if you can! I was boring and got the biscuits and gravy with a side of home fries, my bride got the quiche and both were good. The breakfast burrito in a pancake and the Monte Christo looked outstanding as well. We'll be back for sure to try them out. You could definitely share a meal portions are very generous. Parking is a bit of any issue so come early if you want a spot.

Great friendly service! Food was delicious and arrived quickly. The Carmel Apple Toast was good almost like a dessert. Perfect if you have a sweet tooth. My husband got a omelette with hash browns and biscuits & gravy and had to get a to go box because it was more than he could eat. Only suggestion would be to add yummy coffees to the menu!

Stumbled across the gem on accident on our way home from the Lake of the Ozarks. Food and service were amazing. Pancakes were a nice size and my steak quesadillas were amazing.

The food was great and our waitress was helpful and fun. She was very knowledgeable about the menu and was very quick with our drinks and food. It's not in a large location, so they do try and turn the tables quickly to accommodate more people. This is a great place to quickly eat breakfast and move on with your day.

First thing is when you walk in the ambience is so homey, the decorations are fresh yet still give a farm house feel; and the people so friendly & pleasant. It appears to be a local hang out as well as an amazing place for those passing through. 4 years in a row voted the best restaurant in the area. Thats a pretty great achievement! I love that there is a full bar along with coffee, kombucha( flavors fresh from the tap that you can get in to-go bottles in various sizes. They also sell a THC/Lions Mane beverage that promises a nice time. ( I bought the bottle @ $75 ) Now for the food; I ordered a ham cheese and onion omelette and chose an English muffin and a side of fruit. The omelette so so fresh and fluffy with the cheese shedded on top and the ham n onions cooked perfectly inside and piping hot. Fruit was very fresh. The menu has options for EVERYBODY from meat lovers to vegan/vegetarian. Everything I saw come out of the kitchen just made me hungry to try more dishes! I would love to go back and try the Crab Eggs Benedict made with REAL crab meat! Also the biscuits and gravy looks so appetizing! I would definitely drive the 3 1/2 hours back to eat there again! The service was spectacular with any of the staff willing to help make your visit the best. I really enjoyed everything about this place and highly recommend it! Thanks for a great breakfast!

The Rusty Rooster is my favorite brunch spot in the LOTO area! Great service, cute decor, and the food was top notch. Loved: the Mother Clucker. I added their aioli on the side and put it on my hasbrowns, which were so good. The bacon jam is definitely the highlight of the dish. Liked: it gets busy, so I recommend getting on the waitlist before getting there. We got on the waitlist and were immediately seated when we arrived which was great - so plan ahead

Out of everywhere we ate during our long weekend in Lake of the Ozarks, the Rusty Rooster was our highlight. After witnessing hustling and bustling inside this restaurant upon entering we were already convinced we would walk away satisfied. The wait was about 20-30 min during peak breakfast time, but luckily we snagged a couple chairs at the bar. Service was attentive, efficient and friendly. It was actually quite entertaining watching the controlled chaos of the restaurant play out from our seats at the bar. They clearly know what they are doing here and it was only more so confirmed once the food arrived. I ordered the farmhouse platter and everything was delicious. I even ate the eggs, and I don't usually like eggs! We also ordered the biscuits and gravy and that received the nod of approval. I have a feeling that no matter what you order they do it right here. Great spot. Will definitely go out of my way to visit when in the area again.

Biscuits and gravy, side of eggs and sausage and The Mother Clucker.

Busy place, but well-organized and efficient wait list system! The food was beautiful, bountiful and delicious! The biscuits and gravy....fluffy biscuits, sausage in the gravy, 3 biscuits and gravy $6.99!!!! We also had The Mother Clucker which was like two full waffle slider breakfast sandwiches.... beautiful blend of sweet and savory. Hard to eat, it was a big one!! Somehow we managed and only had to take one home! Waitresses and staff were so friendly and welcoming! Great place!

Place was super fun! Everyone was over the top friendly. Despite being very busy during breakfast, the food came quickly after we ordered. All of it was great! Our server Candice? So friendly! If we're ever in the area again, we'll be back!

    Pancake Burrito Description
    Heather H.

Googled brunch and the Rusty Rooster popped up. I love the name, so breakfaat here was a no brainer. The wait was 30- 45 mins, but the bar area is first come firat serve. While we waited we enjoyed Mimosa's. We ended up sitting in the bar area and now I know why the wait list was long. We started with one biscuit and gravy. The biscuit was large and dluffy and no need for me to add salt to the gravy, which normal I do. I got the pancake burito with potatoes. It ended up being 3 meals for me... it was gigantic and delicious. The meni said bacon, but I think it was sausage mixed in the egg, which I liked better. Hubs got the Mother Clucker. I wasn't sure exactly how he was going to get it in his mouth. Je tried, but ended up.using utensils. The prices were very reasonable and althiugh they were very busy and a little shorthanded they took excellent care of us. A definite must if you are in the area.

I was in Lake Ozark for a week filming a movie and ended up at The Rusty Rooster for breakfast three times -- and I can honestly say it became one of the highlights of my trip. The food is beyond delicious (every plate felt like the perfect start to the day), but what really stood out was the warm, welcoming atmosphere. Huge shoutout to Kale, Emily, and Jimi for their friendly service -- they made me feel right at home every single visit. And a massive thank you to Angela for not only her kindness but also the adorable Rusty Rooster merch (I couldn't resist!). If you're in Lake Ozark, do yourself a favor and stop here for breakfast. Amazing food, even better people. Can't wait to come back!

Such a cute place! We were told we would have a 25 minute wait, but were seated within minutes. I had a delicious mimosa to start. I ordered a bacon, ham and cheddar quiche that came with a muffin (I got lemon) and fruit. All of it was good. My husband ordered the meaty meatlovers omelette with hash browns and a biscuit with a side of gravy. He said the omelette was delicious and the meat portions were generous, the hash browns were amazing and the biscuit and gravy was just ok. We will definitely come back!

A solid place to stop by!…read more We came during an extended weekend trip for lunch, drinks, and the pool. We were seated pretty quickly but this place DOES fill up fast (that includes the pool). The front has a place to order different t shirts from the wall then there's a small indoor seating area and a lot of patio seating outside. We ordered the jumbo crab rangoons, jalapeno poppers, and club sandwich. Although there was a bit of a wait the food was good and had good portion sizes which helps if you're there day drinking. Our waitress was friendly and helpful although a bit on the slower side with checking in and bringing items we requested. We waited about 20 minutes to get boxes and our checks. If you walk down the stairs from the restaurant there's the gated pool area. As it was summer it was packed even on a weekday. There's bars and bathrooms right next to the pool as well as a swim up bar. This was helpful since we had to get out to order drinks we at least didn't have to go far. Although it was a nice vibe I didn't enjoy that it felt like a hot tub especially in the summer and while drinking. In knowing a large amount of ppl come for the pool I would've hoped they cooled the water down & circulated the water better. Additionally a bit of added staff or security would be helpful to ensure ppl aren't getting ridiculous. I saw someone passed out in a chair from drinking too much and someone else falling over into the chairs unable to walk because of how intoxicated they were. Ofc we're all adults and should be able to control our drinking but ppl prove that theory wrong every time. It caused a bit of an issue with ppl & their stuff being trampled by ppl too drunk to walk and no staff around to help. For those who don't know the added another add on to the location off to the right side of the property. This includes a stage for performances which is cool! Although there isn't a restaurant like there is at the main pool there are food trucks which is a cool concept to get different types of food. Overall will be back to check out the other side.

My husband went to the host stand to say something and a server overheard and immediately came and paid wonderful attention to us after that and they gave us a free appetizer to make up for it which the manager delivered himself with another apology. All good. Handled expertly and the meal was 5 stars afterwards. We started with the Whipped Feta And Balsamic Roasted Strawberries which was different and really good and light. My husband ordered for his entree the Charred Double Cut Pork Loin for about $32 served with elote corn with bacon roasted potatoes. It was SO delicious - for real, probably the best pork loin I've ever had and the corn was fabulous. I had the Chilean Sea bass Chilean Sea Bass for $50 with tomatoes and orzo in saffron tomato broth.
