The last time I went in person, it took me 30 minutes to order a soda, they wouldn't turn on the local MLB team baseball game, it took 60 minutes to get my dinner order, and I asked for dessert, but they never came back to my table, so I paid and left. The next time I ordered via DoorDash, and my food came without the dressing or utensils, it took 30 minutes longer than estimated by the app, and I was told it 'wasn't eligible for a resolution.' read more

Great FOH staff but Im sure that the chefs have zero passion and in all honestly convinced they have no idea what they're making. I ordered 1 bourbon street chicken and shrimp skillet and one bourbon steak skillet. It was a 8oz steak and a 5oz chicken it was actually unbelievable I could have got a larger piece of chicken on a Wendy's chicken sandwich for 1/3 the price, and the fact the food runner last night didn't send it back is a whole other problem with the function and management of this restaurant. And for the cherry on top both skillets didn't even sizzle upon arrival why is it so easy of restaurants like dennys or Christina's but Applebees can't even do something simple as that? This was not our first time at Apple Bees, but our first time time at the one in Eureka. The Hostess was a bit cold and when he sat our party of four he only gave us 2 place settings and menus. I had to walk back over to hostess station and grab my own settings. Our waitress was just as kind as the hostess...the food was pleasant... and i hope that this place can turn it around with some improvemet to customer service. This Applebees was just what we needed during our visit to Eureka. We showed up almost for last call and we still received amazing service from Tiffany, who was very kind and welcoming. The food is very delicious and although I see what people mean by small portions; however, it's very much worth the final price, which is very affordable from what I experienced in the area. Overall a great place to stop by and the star rating shouldn't deter you from visiting. read more

I have always liked Applebees, a decent place to eat. Today it was just the opposite. I had a basic bueger and fries. Something on the sandwich was not good. The lettuce or tomato or maybe the meat? I didn't tip to it until I was over half way through or I would have sent it back. I didnt finish it. The waitress was rarely seen anyway. Poor service always ruins a meal for me. And then, they add a $2.00 charge on because I handed them a debit card instead of cash. WTF? Is this a gas station ? I complained and had her re-run it as cash and gave her folding money. She said there is a sign at front desk stating their policy. On the way out I looked. Very small sign, easy to over look. It's just bullshit when they tell you the bank charges them $2 to run every card. Bullshit. I now will no longer eat at Applebees. read more

It only gave me one day and time for an interview because I'm assuming that's the only time the manager had time, so I cleared my schedule for that day. I get there and wait for quite a while and everything is going well in the interview, or so I thought. Come the end of the interview they tell me they aren't actually hiring and have the post up just in case.... Waited a year before leaving a review after dining. Food is good but once in a while goes down to okay then back up to good. Well, we jumped on the grenade and tried the new promotion all you can eat, chicken tenders, shrimp, riblets, for $15.99. I won't be trying it again. Me and my buddy went to order our food and I told the waitress to bring out an order of all three items, which she told me, you can only order one thing at a time. I ordered the riblets first and my buddy ordered the strips. The tiny portion of the riblets arrived and my buddy got three little chicken strips. The waitress then asked me if I wanted to order something else, which was a dumb question, because I just tried to order all three options. Anyway, I ordered the shrimp. A small portion of shrimp came out about 5 minutes after I finished the riblets. I ordered more fries cause it's also all you can eat fries. After the shrimp plate was done, I ordered chicken strips and 3 small strips came out 10 minutes later with our check. That's the last time I saw our waitress. It says all you can eat, but what it means is "All you can order" and you have a hard time with ordering, when there's nobody around to take it. We paid a waiter who wasn't ours, and left. I won't be back. How do you leave an all you can eat, still wanting more? Especially for $16 bucks. read more

Ordered a bacon cheeseburger sub grilled onions for raw. Served a sandwich like that but with grilled chicken. I didn't want to wait so ate it. Not bad but how did no one notice? And we were billed nearly $1 for the grilled onions. The server should have told me about this charge when we ordered. I've never eaten at an Applebees. I've dined at this Applebee's MANY times over the past few years, so I feel like I'm able to write a fair and comprehensive review for it. Overall, I'm quite satisfied with the food I've eaten and the service I've experienced here. It's one of the few chain restaurants in Eureka that I can pretty confidently say provides good service and serves good food consistently. It's also conveniently located along the 101 where it is still a 2-way street, so no weird turns to access the restaurant need to be made. I've never had an issue with parking here. While the lot that hugs the North end of the restaurant is small, there is a huge lot in the back of the restaurant that can accommodate any type of vehicle (including RVs and buses). Once inside the restaurant, I've never had to wait more than 5 minutes to be seated, and there is usually enough selection to be able to choose between a table or a booth. Overall, the staff have always been hospitable and eager to help, and they always keep the dining area clean. The wait time for food isn't bad, but there are some variations in food portions from one visit to the next. I order the Asian chicken salad most frequently, and at times I get a heaping mound of chicken, and at other times I get a skimpier portion. I recommend this Applebee's to anyone who wants to enjoy a casual lunch or dinner with friends/family. The bar area has a few TVs and screens most popular sports games, and the 2 for 20 deal is still one of the best meal bargains out there. read more

We used to eat here weekly, but got out of the habit during Covid. Someone gave us a gift card, so we finally decided to use it. I am SO GLAD we didn't have to pay for this. 1) The place has gone down hill. The booth we sat in had duck tape covering rips in the upholstery. The table wobbled. I folded up a plastisized table ad, and fitted it under a leg to staballize it. 2) We were greeted right away, and the waitperson took our order in a timely manner. However, it was a good :40 before our dinner arrived. 3) I got my usual: Shrimp and parmesan steak. There used to be a choice of sides, but now it comes with limp, over cooked broccoli and lumpy garlic mashed potatoes. The Parmesan sauce was not cooked totally. It was like poorly sliced cheese, hand dropped (rather than poured over the steak. The steak was tough. They did mange to make it medium rare. It was the right color. 4) Dessert was a "Brownie Bite." They used to offer a larger version of this, called the"Blue Ribbon Brownie" but no more. 4)The only positive thing was that our waitperson was very attentive, gave great service, and was apologetic. Greetings all, in town for a job and decided to hit up Applebee's for dinner. Hostess asked if we wud be good sitting in the bar area, in which replied yes. We sit there for a good 10 minutes with no one attending to us. I ask the hostess if she knows who'll be helping us. She stated the bartender, but he's a little busy. I reply ok..we wait another 7 minutes without any acknowledgment what so ever. I'm super patient and understanding, but there was nothing said to us at all. I ordered online and went to go pick up the food. I got home and realized they only gave me one drink when I ordered two. The food did not taste that great at all. Super bland. I ordered chicken Alfredo and it has literally no chicken. And the hamburger was super greasy and oily and the phrase were not good either. Honestly, there was nothing good about this meal. Waited 10 minutes in the lobby to simply buy a gift card -- was told it would be a few more minutes after getting ignored by the hostess. Three tables were seated and assisted while I waited to purchase the gift card. Was then told it would be another 5 minutes to "maybe" get someone up there to help. No problem - I'll spend my $150 elsewhere after that. Walked out, never again. read more

My husband and I decided last minute to have dinner at our local Applebee's. We should have stayed home. The Host had us choose our own table in a section that had more dirty that clean tables. Then instead of asking how many in our party. He assume a lady next to us was with us and slapped three menus on our table saying over his shoulder he's bring back table wear. He never did. Our server was rude in demanding our drink order and laid all over our table as he helped my husband decide what to order. The drinks were over iced no matter how many time we asked for no ice (My husband) and lite ice (me). We never did get table wear. My husband didn't eat because of lack of table wear. I tried to eat my sandwich I asked for double turkey instead of turkey and ham. I got the turkey and ham and fries that were way over seasoned. Our server did fly by twice to ask if we were doing ok but left before we could answer. To get our drinks right we had to flag down other servers and got a snarky comment by our server when we asked for drinks to go. My husband and I have taken our grand kids to Applebee's a couple of times in the last few months. Both times there were several waitstaff wearing their "protective" masks below their noses.....one bus person had their mask down low on their face. We were finally seated by the bartender who promptly brought our drinks and sent our server over. After taking our food order, we were abandoned for approximately half an hour. At that time I decided if the food hadn't come in ten more minutes we would leave, so i set the timer on my phone. Nothing. I left cash to cover the drinks and we walked out.
