Our waitress screwed us basically and we had a whole fiasco. Still waiting for our food. Will update later. Finally got our food 30 minutes later. Freezing cold! Don't recommend this place at all. Rather go to McDonald's than this. That means something. We ended up talking to the manager. This place does not draw a big crowd either. He had to talk to his cook. Probably will not be open next year. Honestly spend your money on some other place. Won't be coming back here at all. We also had found HAIR IN OUR FOOD! Manager was nice. Manager talked to the cook for 45 minutes and never came back. We tried walking out without paying because it was not worth it. A lady at the bar threatened to call the cops on us. Words were said, hands were almost thrown. Stools were picked up and slammed down. Let's just say it was an epic scene and just go somewhere else. We ended up paying $300 for 9 people when we can go to Mulgrew's and pay $125 for 9 people. read more

This was the worst meal ever! Recieved our salads, had to find a waitress to get silverware to eat it with. When the meal came, the mashed potatoes were French fries . The steak was raw instead of meadium and tough. When I sent it back. They said they would make a new one the same one came back cut in half and still has hard as rubber. The manager asked us if we knew the anatomy of a cow, they suggested when we came back not to order the steak. read more

I wish that I could give 0 stars. My boyfriend and I went here for dinner and within 10 minutes of leaving after eating my food I was unbelievably sick. Later into the night my boyfriend got sick too. We believe it was my 4 cheese Mac and cheese with chicken strips that got us both sick seeing as my boyfriend tried a little. We are 100% confident that it is Applebee's that gave us food poisoning because it was the only place that we both ate together. Later into the week after both of us still were not feeling good we called to inform the restaurant as to what happened. What at first felt like they cared soon turned into us being told me got it somewhere else. The staff couldn't care less about us getting sick because we were not hospitalized so there was no threat to the business. I will never be eating here again and if you would like to avoid getting sick I suggest you go somewhere else too! read more

Whenever we don't go to our normal dining spots we usually come here, only reason really is because it is on the West End of town. The food is good, service is ok, drinks are awesome, and the speed of the food getting to your table is amazing. read more

4/24/18 Stopped into Applebee's today, ordered 8oz. sirloin, was offered 2 choices ,I took salad, and french fries. Waitress said she would be right out with salad, but brought onion rings we had ordered first . Someone from the back kitchen brought our food out to our table and I told them I never received my salad. They said they would bring it right out and apologized for the error, said they would give us a credit on our bill. After we got home I noticed how and what they meant for a credit. Steak was S15.99, (which should have included salad) but they added salad on then took it back off. The food was great but think they are kinda cheap with their credits. Might have to think about going back in there. read more

I was a bit shocked by the Host/Hostess. While waiting for our food the host (Joe) walked by our table and let out a huge belch and just kept walking. Then I also watched the hostess dislodge her underwear from the crack of her butt, and then take a seat in the waiting area. All of this set us on a bad note. read more

Avoid this place. The service sucks. 10 min for water. 30 min for pasta then 10 min. For silverware. Place was about 1/3 full and mgr tried to bring me someone else's order twice. Pasta was like rubberbands. Wont go back. read more

The service here is slow, so slow we've walked out several times. Today was no different: the waiter told us the kitchen "was backed up" and it'd be at least twenty minutes. BUT others would be waiting 30 minutes so we were "lucky." Do yourself a favor and eat somewhere, anywhere else. read more

This was the first time my wife and I were at Applebee's. It was absolutely terrible. We both had the hamburger classic. I was definitely surprised to have a plain cheeseburger for $7. There was roughly 10 french fries, and a glass of fountain pop was roughly about $2.60. Took almost 45 minutes to get our meal. The entire time we were there there was not one plate removed from our table and then it took 25 minutes to get our bill and we had to ask for it. Did a terrible job and I will go to Burger King before I would ever go back there again. Sooooo sad!!!! read more

The food was average at best. The French fries were cold. We ordered the $20 for two special. We got the onion rings they were ok but lots of them. For the main course I got the chicken fingers and fries the chicken fingers were ok but the fried were cold. He got the burger and fries burger was well done. Not pink like he asked for. I enjoy Applebee's burgers, but the service is terrible. My wife ordered a plain burger with tomato and pickles. They brought out a cheeseburger. We then had to wait another 10 minutes while they cooked another burger. Burgers were good when they finally got them right. Service was terrible. I ordered a whiskey burger and the patty was soo dry it was falling apart, then they overloaded it with sauce so the bun was falling apart. My boyfriend ordered a steak and ordered it medium rare, THEY BROUGHT IT PURPLE. When he asked for them to cook it longer the head chef came out and said "sorry it wasn't cooked to your liking" like no it's not cooked to anyone's liking unless you're a damn cannibal. "I wanted you to eat together" like suck my fucking chode Rebecca you don't even care about your job. Like noo. My fries were stale af and came out with a tortilla chip in the plate. This was the worst Applebee's experience I have ever had. I will never be eating here again. Oh and we waited for LITERALLY EVER FOR DRINKS AND REFILLS. I went to this place without any expectations, just looking for regular food from a chain restaurant. I was pleasantly surprised. I ordered the chicken fried steak and it was crispy and tasty. The service was very good also and I will be returning to try their other offerings. read more

So I went to this establishment just to have lunch with a friend. I was immediately greeted but when the manager seen me and my friend standing there he immediately made it his business to make sure we was welcomed. We got a waiter named Dylan that was very sweet and me and my friend both loved his hospitality. I would go back just because the service was awesome and Dylan showed that he was an awesome worker. read more

We were sat at a booth and waited over 10 minutes before we were even asked if we wanted something to drink. The hostess kept seating people where there was no waitress. She walked by us several times avoiding eye contact. Finally got to order and steak came out underdone, but no one checked with us so we could tell them. They were overly busy and short staffed for the crappy weather but let me just say they went way above and beyond with customer service for a restaurant! Not impressed with the Oriental Chicken Salad at all! All it is is Oriental lettuce, with shredded carrots & chow mein noodles! I added , mandarin oranges, celery, pea pods, water chestnuts & fried wonton strips. Used myAsian Toasted Sesame Dressing as well. You need to re-visit this recipe. Went to Applebees in Dubuque this past week. I love the game plan they have there. My husband is a healthy eater with a big appetite. I eat lighter and prefer something gooey and cheesy. The menu is geared for both of us to be satisfied. I find the host/hostess and wait staff to be so friendly and patient. Since the menu is so large it takes a while to hone in on a "special" meal. Will go back again in a week or two. We do love the 1/2 price appetizers after 9 PM...especially the chicken salad tacos. read more

I wouldn't normally review an Applebee's, but the service I received was truly awful. I sat at the bar, in one of five available seats (there are 13, total.) It was dirty, but having been a bartender, I understood what I was getting into, here. I ordered a drink, then asked for a towel to clean up my seat. I proceeded to bus and wipe down the five empty seats. Again, not a big deal, I don't mind helping out. I then asked for a menu, as none was offered. After receiving my food, I was not asked if I would like another drink, despite only having a single sip left. I was simply handed my food, then the bartender walked away. At the time I received my food, there were only four people at the bar, aside from a gentleman waiting about ten minutes for his tab. I had to get my own napkins, as I was offered no silverware or any napkins. I finished my food, asked for another drink, and my tab. Meanwhile, the bartender told everyone at the bar that she was, 'grumpy tonight'. One of the patrons actually mentioned to her that she was very rude to another gentleman across the bar, and she said something under her breath about her other bar guest. As I write this review, the bartender just encouraged three of the guests to NOT get an Uber, since they're only a "ten minute drive from there." Even $1 margaritas can't get me to come back to this Applebee's. She did, however, manage to thank me as I left. And I tipped more than 20%, however, it's my standard practice to tip at least $5, regardless of the price of my tab. I tipped $1.81 on a tab of $8.03. read more

The number of cars was a clue that we were about to experience a better-than-average Applebees. This place was a pleasant surprise. The chicken dish was excellent and the carbonara was good. Our server was attentive without being instrusive. read more

Second time here in 2 weeks, only because we had gift cards to use. The service is terrible! College aged staff standing around, on their phones, sitting with their buddies at the bar when they aren't taking orders, not ever checking back on their tables. Our waiter asked if we wanted a refill on our waters only when he brought the bill. The management on staff seemed to be just as lazy, too busy watching the football game on the tv at the bar. Food was just ok, not hot and fries were soggy, like they sat for awhile. On our 2nd visit, 3 people greeted us at the door and opened the 2 doors for us. We got inside to the hostess (Miranda) and she was bent over with her back to us leaning on her hostess station playing with her phone. We stood literally for 1 minute before the employees at the door told the hostess that we needed a seat. I noticed throughout our visit, that most people stood in the doorway waiting for a seat while she did nothing. Understandable if they were busy, but the restaurant was only 40% full. The only good thing I have to comment on in our waitress from our second visit, Sara. She was awesome and belongs in a better managed restaurant where she would be making much better tips, because she earns them. We won't be returning to Applebee's again. read more
