One word to describe the food: Fresh. We started with a cheese curd appetizer, and that was awesome! Fresh white cheddar cheese, lightly breaded and fried. Yum! We then had steak tacos and a margherita pizza (both pictured). The tacos were spilling over into freshly made tortilla shells and the pizza was brick oven baked. Both, based on the great flavor, were clearly made with fresh ingredients! Note: I love pizza, BUT I don't love thin crust pizza (which is how this pizza is prepared). The bartender behind the bar was very helpful and welcoming--far better than this brewery's sister property in Dyersville. Do yourself a favor and get a scoop of the flavored peanuts they have behind the bar--they serve as a nice compliment to your beer.

I was so relieved because some ace would not allow. It was difficult for me when I was alone. The bartenders did the excellent job too! Their beers are amazing. I love their Rhubarb Dew and Rural Route Stout. I do enjoy their pretzel. I saw the menu of pretzel. That's the sign that I would love to come back for another visit when I am back in town to visit my family.

My husband tried the Mai Tai from the cocktail menu and said it was just okay. He ordered the 16 oz Ribeye, which took 15 minutes longer to eat than my 6 oz Filet, leaving me just sitting and watching him eat. That was a little awkward. Both steaks were perfectly cooked to order and were quite tender and flavorful. The filet comes with a mashed cauliflower side, which was a texture a bit strange for my liking. The sauce took a little getting used to for my pallet. We ordered a side of asparagus, with an interesting yellow sauce on it. There were 6 long spears, a bit crunchy for my liking, and maybe enough for 2 to share. Dessert is where they shine! Mine was very good, but hers was so heavily salted that it was almost inedible. We also ordered several sides; mashed potatoes, the sweet corn with sausage, and spinach. The portions were surprisingly small, served in little containers that barely felt like a single serving, and unfortunately they arrived cold. The dessert menu was also pretty limited and didn't offer much that stood out.
