We were driving to PA for the weekend and don't you know it, 15 minutes into the 3 hour drive I decide: "i'm hungry". Well that's just too bad bc we gotta beat this traffic. Sad face. Over An hour later I'm verging on HANGRY and where do we stop? Rest area Panera or McD's? We see a sign for Applebee's off of exit 64 on the I80 so we embark what apparently is 3 or so miles into some town in New Jersey. A bit deceiving, you kinda think it would be RIGHT THERE. thank you navigation. It was about 130 in the afternoon kinda quiet so we had the time to chat with our waiter, Tom aka Big T and the general manager Chris, about craft beers and how the location of the sign on the highway is probably better off an exit before(the way its places is the long way around) I had the opportunity to try Jersey Girls brew they had on tap and they also have a revolving list of craft beers. Applebee's has a few items on the menu that I always rely on for the meal of choice 1. Quesadilla burger 2. Southwest steak salad 3. Dessert, any On this day I rolled with the salad and it was perfect. Keep in mind it is more than likely more fattening than the burger, that dressing they use is killer!

First time visiting this Applebee's. A section of the side parking lot has been closed off to make the room for outdoor dining. We were greeted by a young gentleman that directed us to our table. We arrived just around noon and we pretty much had our choice of table. Once seated our waiter Nicholas introduced himself and asked for our drink orders. Long Island Iced Tea and a Kona Longboard. We decided to order from the 2 for $29 menu. We ordered the spinach dip appetizer and two bourbon street chicken and shrimp entrees. Our appetizer came to our table within ten minutes and the meals about 20 minutes after. Everything was delicious the chicken was tender and juicy and the seasoning used on the entree was amazing. The manager came out and made the rounds by the tables asking if we were enjoying the meal, very nice touch that goes a long way. Our waiter also went out of his way to make sure that everything was to our liking. Would definitely eat at this location again when in the area.

Very disappointed in the service. It was not a busy night and I went in with a few friends, I don't really do restaurants such as Applebee's because it is like fast food quality to me and needless to say- they reminded me why. The service was extremely slow, the waitress kept forgetting to bring out things we ordered and the machine(game pads) on the table that I purchased $1.99 for went off because the battery died after 15 minutes. The food looked very sad and it was cold. The rice had no flavor and it was just a horrible experience in all. I must say the hospital has better rice

Food was mediocre at best and I would have given a 3 but the service was so slow. It was a slow Sunday afternoon so it should not have taken so long. The brisket quesadilla was a joke (see picture) and the wings were old. I would not come back.

From the name "Mill Lane" I'm guessing there were once some mills down this way, but I didn't see any ruins. Just the bar. Warning, it's a tiny place. Not crowded, my friend and I found a table on Sunday game day, but don't bring a large group. Mostly locals who know each other, but a friendly atmosphere from guests and servers alike. Our bartendress was nice and sassy. Second warning: Do not use the jukebox. It will drown out everyone and leave your ears ringing for days. I think the people who put in a pair of songs realized that and it was blessedly quiet the rest of the day. Beer: Fairly on the expensive side. Out $9 for one draft Yuengling and one bottle. Those would be maybe $7 nearby at Johnnie's. Food was reasonable, though as I worked out the Halloween specials, I could get the same ingredients on the cheesesteak for a buck cheaper by ordering it off the regular menu. Maybe it's the pepper jack that did it. Maybe the 5 cents of BBQ sauce they'd add. As for the cheesesteak itself, which has gotten plaudits from others here? Decent. Good size, but the beef tasted really plain. American cheese melted into it. Nice amount of mushrooms. Side of onion rings a bit burnt but decent. I should have splurged on the special perhaps. The strangeness came as we got to the 4th quarter, when the bartendress disappeared. The two guys left basically ignored us. Sure, we weren't asking for drinks (which is generally how you get their attention)... but she would point to us when she saw our glasses empty, and they didn't. Also... we had an open tab that they weren't asking about. We totally could have left. Turns out the tab was actually closed! So they called her on the phone to bring her back inside, enter the tabs for a couple of us, and then close them out. Bizarre. Quirky local place, but I'll leave it for the locals.

If you haven't been, I'm sorry. If have, rejoice and know the chef, Skip, who happens to be my brother-in-law will enjoy his retirement after a chaotic, non-stop last month. I stopped in for lunch today with my good friend and struggled with what my last meal should be. I opted for the Chicken pot pie and corn fritter. It was light, flaky and delicious. The corn fritter came with maple syrup and brought me great joy. My friend went with the pork Milanese which was huge! It came with mashed potatoes and veggies. She definitely will be having a second meal from that pork cutlet. She also ordered a Reuben to take home for her hubby. Sorry, no photos of the sandwich. The service is always top notch and the drinks free flowing. Stop in if you can. But know the wait will be lengthy but worth it.

Nice bar, and good selection for wines and beer. Parking is street parking mostly and they have couple of parking spots to the side of the restaurant. Genuine hospitality that welcomes you like they've known you forever. You are going to ask why you haven't been here many times before after you visit. Everything is of quality and fresh. The menu is concentrated offering a nice balance of traditional items and Irish dishes. The Potato and Leek Soup is made very well with such a clean smooth broth and plenty of potato and leek present in the soup. Try the Cajun Chicken and Sausage gumbo was a nice option offering Big pieces of Chicken and Andouille Sausage. Nice kick but not overwhelming. Clams or Mussels appetizers are on point and worth sharing with the table. The Corned Beef and Cabbage dish was amazing and definitely NOT bland! Lean Corned Beef and fresh hand cut veggies make this a must have! The NY Strip, is tender, cooked perfectly and recommend having the whiskey sauce over the top! For $38.95 it is a bargain! Highly recommended as it literally checks every box for me. Will definitely return!

We did sit at the bar today which dominated a large section of the place, has room to sit dozens and as expected from a sports bar, tvs and big screens all around. We came there wasn't a game, so we were pleased to listen to good music as we sat in the corner of the bar. We only sampled a small portion of the menu as we only had 40 minutes, but the fish and chips were spot on, crispy on the outside and flaky on the inside, came straight from the fryer without feeling overly greasy. The fries were delicious, and the burger was respectable We def plan to come by next time we need to pass time waiting for our drummer boy.

Nice looking place from the outside. Inside is more like a sports bar than a restaurant…read more Tables were wobbly and the table top was sticky. The waitress came over right away and we ordered two margaritas. They came in 10 minutes and they were very watered down. She never gave us straws and the ice was in chunks not smooth ice for a frozen drink. Not worth it for $15 each My wife ordered beer battered shrimp and I ordered the Snow crab bucket for $50. Dinner came in about 20 minutes. The Shrimp were beer battered but the tails still remained and the batter was not cooked. Very battery. My crab bucket included 2 clusters. 6 small pieces of potato, corn on the cob and all covered in some potato/ carrot kind of sauce. Remember- I have use my hands to crack the crab legs, so all the sauce was all over me. This was frustrating. The crab was fine once I got through it but the potatoes were undone. The common the cob was very good. All considered! I gave the place a 2 and I won't be back unless I go for beers and to watch a game. Choose another place for dinner as there are many choices in the area.
