I scheduled an appointment and have been waiting an hour passed my scheduled time. Wtf is an appointment even for then? Very regimented store. You have to make an appointment to be seen or get help, like they think they are a dentist or a doctor's office. Also dont answer their phone and ask you to leave a voice message, then the voice mailbox says its full and you cant leave a message. Why should it be full? Is it because they never check it or answer messages being left there? Any dealings with an Apple store are likely to be frustrating at best, and the one in Spokane is certainly one of my least favorite places to visit. read more

An experience what would have been mediocre, but reps turned it around. What it has going for it: - typical Apple store set-up, simple and clean - reps did a good job keeping this customer satisfied What it has going against it: - only Apple store for hundreds of miles (not the stores fault) - parking sucks (on-street or garage but all choices you have to pay) Brought my IPhone in since a broke my screen. Had this phone for over 2 years, so this isn't a new phone. They said they were having issues getting it to boot up. Well it took more than 2 hours when their estimate of when it would be done. After awhile waiting, they just gave me a new phone for what it would have cost me to replace the screen. Reps were very accommodating and seemed well trained. This is the first time I had to bring one of my IPhones in to get fixed. If I had an issue again I wouldn't hesitate to get my apple product fixed at this location. If they had my phone done when promised this would have been a 5 star review. read more

Extremely disappointed in Apple as they mislead me in a purchase decision and were unable to help me remediate the issue. I asked the sales representatives at Rue de Rive Apple Store if the watch I bought for the Genevè Marathon would work with my cellular plan in the USA and they told me it would. When I arrived to the USA I was unable to use it with my cellular plan. The Apple store in Spokane would not accept a return or exchange the watch. A genius tech at Apple Spokane told me that he would have the watch sent to the service center and they would exchange the watch there for a USA cellular, they sent it back a week later after and said that it was a European watch and could not be exchanged. The manager greeted me at the store in Spokane and said his hands were tied and "good luck." This left me one final day in the return window. I called Apple support and they told me the only way to remediate the problem was to fix it with Rue.de Rive Store in Geneva Switzerland. I could not get connected after multiple phone calls. I was unable to travel back to Switzerland from the USA and wouldn't have been able to arrive in time anyways to make the exchange if I did have the time and means to fly to Switzerland for a simple exchange with a brand who has a worldwide presence. Now I am left with a brand new Apple Watch with Cellular that does not work in the USA and a disappointing image in a company I thought was once an example of a great customer experience and reliable brand. read more

Over the years (5) that we have been using the store it has progressively gone downhill. In the last 18 months, the service is very, very slow and the purpose seems to be to sell, sell, sell you another Apple product. We came in because the external speaker on our iPhone stopped working. A 15-minute wait turned in to 55 minutes only to be told that our battery was exhausted (then my wife said it last 12-14 hours a charge - "oh really" the technician said) well, the speaker repair would be $150 and anther battery = $200. Drove two hours for a simple replacement phone due to battery issues. Had my appointment at 6:30 pm......checked in at 6:15. Technician comes to find out more information at 6:40....he says someone else will come to finish. I asked employee at 7:05 if anyone was coming to finish...she said we were next in line. Waited until 7:35 then I walked out as they said we were next. Came back right after and waited until 7:50 for a technician to come out and say they were out of stock. AND that technician had no idea we had an appointment or had been waiting since 6:15 pm! I know they are people and business gets busy but my wife and I watched every single employee and technician help someone else over and over without even coming to check or help us. I get it, you are busy, the Genius Bar is overbooked and you have a bad haircut, but to simply brush customers off with lame excuses is not to Apple standards. I contacted a representative about getting a new battery, they said great lets have someone fix that for you. (I didn't know water damage would keep them from touching my phone (first time ever dealing with apple directly. Been a customer for ~6ish years)). They set me up with an appointment to have it done...or so I thought. I walk in, it's very nice all is good a representative sets me down at a table saying 'a genius will be with me' doesn't take more than a minute with that genius for them to tell me that my phone has water damage and that they can't do anything about it. Period. I walk out furious! I could have told them it was going to have water damage (I dropped it in the toilet a month ago). Why didn't they ask me that in the first place? That would have saved me an hour of wasted time going into the store. I am not a happy customer and although I love apple products they have set a horrible customer service standard for me and also do not live up to their released statement about 'getting a new battery for $30'. Their statement read:read:https://www.apple.com/iphone-battery-and-performance/ "Apple is reducing the price of an out-of-warranty iPhone battery replacement by $50 -- from $79 to $29 -- for anyone with an iPhone 6 or later whose battery needs to be replaced, available worldwide through December 2018." I am one of those ultra-loyal Apple customers who might or might not have sworn some oath of fealty to Steve Jobs before he passed into the next life. But that aside, who doesn't like super smart, helpful and happy people who are on hand in droves to answer every little technology question that might pop into your head? No one offers the kind of 5 star help that the Genius Bar does and this sets Apple and this store leagues above any other technology offering. The store is welcoming, busy and a bit overwhelming but never fear--there is sure to be some cheery individual rushing to your aid the minute you push open the glass portal and enter the...errr what I mean is when you open the front door you'll be greeted by an Apple staff member and ushered around like an honored guest. I have come here countless times for everything from laptop repairs, to an Iphone that I broke (and subsuquently had replaced free of charge) and just to pick up needed supplies. So yet another Apple store debacle. I looked online at the trade in section on the official Apple website. To my surprise I found out the accept Samsung Galaxy S6 phone, and pay a fair price. I called the store to confirm. A few days later I went in, and a nice young man explained that they only take Apple products in store. I asked him to check. The manager on duty agreed that I would not be able to do this in store. He also said he would coach employees so erroneous information would not be given over the phone. On my way out an apple expert asked if I had been helped. I explained what had happened he verified I COULD do the trade in in store. Today we went to apple store and 2 bought an iphone 4s's without a contract. After tax we payed $1400!!!! Wow few months ago we replaced our countertops at one place on market for the same price. But I think it's worth it. We have a value plan from t-mobile which will cost us under 100 a month with unlimited data, text and messages. If you do the math then iphone on t-mobile will save money. Spokane just became a better place to live, because the Apple Store projects a better future for mankind and retail. This is quiet possibly the best retail business in Spokane. The design, products, and staff are excellent. The store design is clean, open, and beautiful. It resembles a clean room. I challenge you to find dust inside this store. The products a clearly displayed and labeled. Staff quickly approach all visitors with assistance. You can even schedule a personal shopping session. The products are hot! I can't keep from wanting everything on display. The sudden appearance of the Apple Store downtown has greatly improved the shopping traffic, and overall appearance of the Riverpark Square area. The only downside I can see, is the fact that rents in the area will probably increase. An additional problem, is the fact that the gadgets sold here are so appealing, personal debt loads will rise. Overall, the Apple Store makes the present and future a brighter place for the residents of Spokane. Are there any local businesses willing to step up their game? read more

You know, I for one hate having to make appointments in any Apple store in any city because I feel like you need to take a pillow, blanket and smack because no matter what it seems you need done it take hours ! Well my visit took 3 hours but here's why I have the Spokane store a 5 start rating despite some of the negative reviews and they earned it. I needed to set up a new phone for my son for Xmas and find out why my speakers were not working on my phone. I made my apt online but I arrived a little early, no problem lots to play with in the store as usual. What stood out to me was how friendly and attentive each of the team was. Not only did they get the phone fixed they helped me painfully go through and set up everything on my son'a new phone including parental controls and all the new things that would make me feel safe and comfortable giving my minor a phone with such access to the world. They took time to share the free classes they offer for kinds during the holidays and for my son this was awesome ! Coding classes, how to take photos, gaming and much more I never knew they offered and my son just loved! I even brought the new robotic ball thing I didn't plan on buying just because they honestly sold me on it. All I can say is come with patients and good attitude. My wife was having an issue with her iPhone 4S and we were headed to downtown Spokane so she set an appt on her iPhone, they greeted us when we arrived at the store and someone came out to greet us as we were browsing around the store waiting to be helped the Genius Bar. I have been to other Apple Store's and I was thrilled with the customer service we received and we worked with a very helpful gentleman at the Genius Bar named Andrew. I was concerned since we don't have AppleCare on my wife's iPhone, they didn't even ask and quickly assessed our issue. Unfortunately we didn't have her phone properly backed up so we had to go home to fix the issue. I was very pleased that he made sure we didn't have things backed up before just wiping the phone and moving forward. My wife has over 1,000 pics on her phone so that would have been tragic. I hope I don't have to go back for issues in the future, but if I do, I know we will be well taken care of. read more

I am in disbelief that Apple is profitable. I can 100% guarantee is has NOTHING to do with service. I strongly recommend everyone use a non OS/Apple system to store their pictures and contact list. Ok, their was one in 30 minutes. I wish to drop it off then. No you cannot do that. You must wait 2 hours while we run diagnositics on a phone that clearly works but has a cracked screen. I went into the store with my iPhone 6 that was bent due to obvious design flaws, and I was quickly greeted by an employee and directed to the right people for my issue. Then after a swift diagnosis I was set up with their system that texts you when a spot at the Genius Bar was available next that day, and only after a quick hour I revived a text to come back. Then upon my return I was greeted with few moments into the door and directed to check in, and only 10 mins after a very nice employee from the Genius Bar got me and was able to set me up with a new replacement phone without any out of wallet expense. Without a doubt one of the best customer service experiences I have had in a long time! 10 out of 10 would send my mother here, and yes that's how impressed I am! read more

I said ok to this and next door to grab a quick bit of food. 17 minutes later they told me to check in and they were ready for me. By that time I had just ordered an appetizer. At 32 minutes after setting an appointment. They informed me that I no longer had the appointment and would have to set an appointment for a later time.
