I spent a total of FOUR HOURS. stretched across 2 days, going back-and-forth between Apple phone techs, the carrier, back to Apple, back to the carrier..... After a frustrating rant at the two, I was directed to the "Genius Bar" at the Apple Store in River Park Square. Well, thank GOD they did! I was impressed the moment I walked in. I was greeted, my appointment was in the system along with the long case log. They directed me to "Karen" who immediately was able to unlock and wipe the new phone to its factory settings. After some skillful diagnostics, she was able to determine the problem was in the restoration sequence from the old phone. From there she was able to revive the new phone and get it to working status. Yes, I would have to reinstall my apps again, but I don't care. They said they would order a "backup" phone in case this one dies again. But, I think it's going to be fine. Thanks to the team at the Genius Bar - especially Karen, who was patient, efficient and personable. My thanks, also, to the store manager (sorry, I didn't get his name) for his understanding and compassion. The store is bright and lively with plenty of helpful, knowledgeable staff moving about taking care of whoever walks in. If you ever have a need for service on any of your Apple devices, or you're looking for top drawer products and service, this is the place to go.

Extremely slow to get assistance even with a Genius appointment. Literally watched an employee…read morestand against a wall, zoning out, for several minutes. Then watched this same employee assist a customer who had zero appointment before again standing against the wall for several more minutes just spacing out. Finally, about 20-30 minutes later this same employee appeared to "snap out of it" and finally came over to assist me after I'd been sitting at the Genius Bar for 45 minutes. There was no one else being assisted at the bar and the store was not that busy. Not impressed with the support in this store. However, they did do an excellent job with the necessary repairs I went in to get fixed.

Don't expect the cheapest prices around, that said, they try to be competitive and have saved my skin more than once by having that part that couldn't be found anywhere else. Was sold a defective standing desk; told to call product support to obtain the correct parts…read more Spent 40 minutes on the phone, parts no longer made, and my credit card payment couldn't be refunded because someone had "deleted the transaction" out of the system. Returned the desk to the store, was told since the order had been cancelled a refund had probably already occurred and to check my statement. I drove home and did so--no refund. I took photos of the statement and returned to the store; clerk wanted a printed statement. She called the manager, who said to do a refund "without receipt," so the money finally went back on my card. The manager said, in a couple of weeks, if a second refund appeared on the card, to "let us know. You know, be that person," implying that I might be dishonest. Given all that had happened, I found that attitude offensive--I fully intended to notify them if a refund appeared. In short, this store sells defective products, expects the customer to do all the legwork to set the situation right, and is rude in addition. I won't shop here again and suggest others don't either.

It turned out the fix was more expensive than we planned so it did take us some time to get back to them about fixing it. In November we did just that. When we hadn't heard back by December 5th, we called to find out what was happening with our computer. We were told the tech fixing it would call us back. When we didn't hear from him by December 15th, we called again and were given the same answer. I began to worry about our computer and told my fiance that we needed to go in person and see if it was even still in their shop. My fiance is an artist and had been offered a commission job that was time sensitive so he took his boss in with him so there would be a witness as to what was said. The employee that they spoke to told them that they had tried to call our number on numerous occasions and that our phone had been disconnected. It had not been disconnected for even one day during the months they had our computer. We kept trying to get a hold of the owner of the shop, wanting to fix this situation within the time frame for my fiance to still be able to do the commission. When he finally did call back he was apologetic but had no reasoning behind the massive delay. He said he would try and fix our computer with parts of his and call us back the next day. We waited all day, when he finally did call, it was late in the afternoon and he told us a story about what happened to our computer. When we called Mac Technical Support to find out what could have caused the problem he described, the IT person told us that either the wrong part was used to fix our computer or we had been lied to. Simple as that. When confronted with all of this, it is now clear that we are to pick up our computer and it will not be fixed there. I am extremely upset at the time and money lost while waiting for them to just do their jobs. The constant lies since being confronted with the screw ups just shows that they care more about covering their respective behinds than customer service or satisfaction. This was not going to be a cheap fix, and it makes me wonder exactly what was done to our computer to make them just throw that money out the window. It is now the middle of January, and we will still be without my fiance's main source of income when it comes to his art. I am highly disappointed and feel that the owner and his employees are dishonest people who do not deserve to make any more money off the people of Spokane.
