In all the years I have owned a Mac, I never had to go to the Genius bar for a Mac specifically. Fast forward 11 years and a new job. Being one of the few Mac IT guys, I had a troubled MacBook Pro that I thought was bad memory. I ran Apple Hardware Test as well as clearing PRAM and repairing permissions. None of which worked. I showed up one minute before my appointment and they checked me in. This tall Genius named Aaron helped me out. Super straight forward guy and we joked around a little about technology. Then he opened up the console and I hit my forehead and thought "Dangit! I didn't check that!" We figured out what the problem was within 5 minutes or so and I left a happy customer. You would think Apple stores are consistent throughout the company. They are not by a far stretch. Yes, you can get a happy technically savvy guy explain things to you but there are also the veterans who think they're holier than thou. Good thing I got Aaron. With that said, I had a great experience. Since Park Meadows is closer to my home, I plan on coming here for my Genius Bar appointments. I would recommend afternoon appointments since earlier/weekend appointments are crazy. read more

I walked in to buy a phone, (2 actually) and they don't actually have them. Think about this... they have a storefront. A phone is NOT a large piece of furniture, there's no reason for them to not have them available. Yet, no phones. But we could order one. I asked about the rebates and it sounded like no problem, order our phones and send ours back for a rebate. So, I go online and read the fine print... we have to have a plan with unlimited data.. we don't need that right now. So, no rebates at all...? Also, I get that it's easy to checkout people from devices... but without a checkout or a customer service area, it's very difficult to find someone for help. I realized after looking around for a while that the Apple people were wearing navy. NAVY. This color does not stand out. Two employees were chatting away and ignoring us, and finally someone came over to ask if we needed help. I have literally NO desire to ever step foot in this store again. read more

I brought my laptop in to get it service because of an expanding battery. I was able to get a customer service associate fairly quickly. I was told that it would take about 4 days to get the laptop back and it ended up taking up almost double the time. I did backup my machine as was asked by the customer service associate if that was the case. I know there is a high probably that the machine would be wiped/reset but I have a feeling there is no effort made to keep any of the data or restore it, it's annoying. Paperwork that came with the fix indicated that the latest OS was installed. It wasn't so now I'm sitting here at work and can't do a time machine transfer until I upgrade it myself. I found it odd that the Apple store doesn't give you a bag to carry your equipment out after they worked on it. I suppose it's some environment friendly front they are putting up and it's cool by me. I'm just not that in that demographic that feels comfortable walking out of an Apple Store with a laptop and feel that I might get stopped. It's me blowing things out of proportion, I know. We purchased a NEW XR phone thru our provider - AT&T. It had a MFR defect and therefore had to go to Apple. Apple will not stand behind their product and swap it out. They say they need to send to California to fix the display. Any other MFR of any other product would have made it right to the customer and swapped out vs having to wait to ship out to CA and Ship back. It is very disappointing that they will not make it right. Apple of all companies - horrible customer service. I do not think the manager, Mary Fisher, has had any training in customer service. I think a robot would have been a better communicator of "policy". read more

By the time I made it to the Apple Store I had already invested over 5 hours of my time trying to get my phone repaired. My phone wouldn't even work. I was working longer hours at work and my family unable to reach me I was beyond frustrated! I had one online support tech advise me how to follow the prompts to reach a live person in this store I spoke with a manager, Meredith?, explained my dilemma ans that Apple support had me call to get in asap. She was RUDE and not helpful...... I had no choice but to drop in with hopes hey could help me. The team working last Sunday evening was great! Quick to help me. I am on the fence about this place. i mean it was a good experience. . .very efficient. Yet did it go beyond (and thus get a 5). Im' going to say nah. My Toddler went straight for the kids table with ipads. It was nice, and he loved it. He could of stayed at the apple store longer I picked up the case I wanted. . and the guy used an iphone to ring me up, get my credit card, and emailed me the receipt. I noticed that I forgot my Company discount. . .so another guy quickly refunded/reprocessed with discount (Yeah!). They look pretty engaged/helpful employees. I mean that is why every store trying to do their own Apple store (See Microsoft in a best buy). Can you really get employees THIS passionate about your product? I Doubt it This is a efficient place that served me quickly and fixed my issue just as quick. I tried to convince my husband that Apple Genius employees are not the stereotypical snobby, intellectual elitists that so many see them as. He had a 5:15 appointment to have his broken Beats headphones looked at (arrived at 5). After letting them know he had an appt, he watched 3 people come in after him, walk right up and get helped without so much as a glance in his direction. He sat there listening to a couple chatter boxes discuss politics with other customers for 20 minutes (past the appointment time), he finally said something to the guy...who said "just buy a new pair it's cheaper". 40 minutes of waiting and that's what this "genius" comes up with? I debated on whether or not to post this. But, at the very least, I hope there will be a change for the better. Ordered an item for pick up and my pick-up window was two days from the order date. Totally fine. Got a notification that my order was ready for pick up and specifically called the store to confirm. Got confirmation I could pick up the order only to get to the store and be told there was "no way" to get this to me sooner and I would have to make another visit. I am a huge Apple fan (I even have vanity license plates). They offer a superior product and most locations seems to be pretty solid. That said --- in regards to the 'genius bar', this location has disappointed me. Once I actually start working with a genius specialist, my stress level gets better. But for a location that has so many genius appointments, I would think that they might come up with a better system -- since the check-in process seems disorganized and my appointments usually start 20 minutes late. Apple saved me $450 I have been to two Apple stores to buy a watch Park Meadows and Colorado Springs. After standing at the watch case looking stupid because you can't play with them like a phone or tablet, then left. The sales person at PM, was waiting on another customer. Once she finished with her, she waited on some one who just walked in. This is the first time I have been in that no one even greeted me. At the Colorado Springs store, they wished me a good day as I walked out, but no one asked to help me. Just bad customer service. read more

Every time I come here I get the worst customer service. The lady said that my trade in was only worth $100 but I knew she was trying to cheat me. I went to the cherry creek location and was able to get the maximum of $300. This place has terrible reviews on google too. Apple customer service is terrible. If you have to just order your stuff online. Going to the store with these incompetent sales people is a nightmare. The average wait is an hour just to get pissed off! First off, I should have read all the one star reviews before I walked into this store to ask two questions. I walked in this evening and first thing the security guard shoved a box of masks towards me ( I had a mask of my own in my pocket, but simply forgot to put it on). After putting on my mask, a male employee (didn't get him name nor did he offer it), approached me and asked if I needed to be directed to the appropriate place ( what is this, the DMV office?). As I work in retail, how about " how are you, can I help you?", but reading the other customer service comments I should have known. I stated I had two questions and the employee asked me "are you going to purchase anything here?" to which I responded I just ordered an iPhone 13 pro with case and other accessories for just over $1300, and I'd like you to check on my order status, to which this employee response was " call 1-800- My Apple". You mean to tell me that if I had purchased the phone there which they do not have in stock, had it shipped to the store, and I returned 1 week later to check the order status, that you can't do that in the store? TOTAL BS and total lack of ANY customer service. If I ever asked a customer where I work " are you going to purchase anything here" I'd be fired. I made two appointments to get my "in warranty" lighting cables swapped out and thought I would be in and out with no problems right? Wrong!!! These people are so rude and disrespectful it's not even funny. They are super cocky and walk around like they are better than people. My cords were a bit frayed, but I've had the same problem with the lighting cable before; like many other people because it's a design flaw. Instead of trying to help me and replace the cord, they emphasized that they will not replace it, but will gladly charge me for new ones.Not to mention I took an Uber to Apple with hopes of getting new cords, but to my dismay--my Uber ride cost the same amount as the cord that should have been replaced for free. I told the representative that I would like to speak to a manager and he said "sure, but they will tell you the same thing, we aren't replacing it. Five minutes later a genius named "Shawn" who also had an attitude approaches me and says the same thing verbatim. He also points to the bend in the cord and how it was frayed and how this is considered accidental damage. I've seen many people complain about the exact same damage on their lighting cord and it is clearly a design flaw. Now It wouldn't be an issue if I wasn't able to replace cords with similar damage at other stores. There needs to be some type of consistency in the process if one person thinks it's accidental damage and another person says it's covered.Instead of just replacing my cord-- which is in warranty and moving on, they rather argue with me and use the little power they have and say no we will not replace it. Now if these cords weren't replaced before-- I wouldn't have a problem with their explanation of "accidental" damage, which is complete BS because I've seen them replace items that were way more damaged than my cord for free. It's always at the discretion of the employee which is really sad because I've never had a positive experience here. I spoke to the manager "Justin" and told him about the attitudes that his employees had and he didn't seem to care. He pretty much backed him and he wasn't friendly at all. The "genius" "Shawn"was standing right there smirking because my cords weren't getting swapped and seemed very happy about it.These people have serious issues. For the simple fact that all of the employees had an attitude and weren't willing to help speaks volumes. I posted pictures of my cords so you can see what they consider "accidental" damage. I can guarantee that I will get these cords swapped at a different Apple Store. Apple has really gone down hill and I will make sure corporate hears about my experience at Apple Park Meadows.Do yourself a favor and avoid this store at all costs!!! They should all take a crash course in customer service and empathy. read more

Do Apple Store representatives know how to talk? Do they know what does "communication" mean? "Customer needs" can be translated into their language? They don't tell their names, they don't greet you, they will not even tell you when the service is done! They will abandon your gadget over the counter until you realize that you're waiting for nothing! And, please, don't expect an apologetical manager asking you to forgive their bad manners! The manager - who likewise will not introduce himself - will blame you for not asking for assistance before! He will omit how stupid you were for keeping waiting the same representative get back to you when it seems he just vanished. But, yes, he will say it was your fault not looking for another associate. So, please, don't have high expectations. Don't let yourself get amazed by its unique design. I don't have an issue at all with this store in general, this review is specific to their Geek Squad program. I had a minor issue with the sound system they installed, and when I attempted to schedule a person to do the repair, I was going to have to wait AN ENTIRE 7 DAYS for a geek to come by! Combine that with the fact that they hit your credit card for the entire amount at the time of scheduling, and to cancel the service you have to jump through hoops, put on hold for long periods of time, and only then will you be credited back for the lack of service. I'll look elsewhere for any future electronic service. read more

I went to the Apple store in park meadows last weekend, explaining that my $300 dollar beats solo 3 wireless headphones broke.. only 9 months into the 1 year warranty.. the associate that damage to the external headphones are not covered.. to which I thought, do I need to jump into a swimming pool and Short Circuit the internal parts..?? Apple would do nothing for me. No replacement, or store credit. Not even a discount on another pair that I was willing to pay.. I talked to a 5 year employee, who told me beats are overpriced, crappy headphones, and to get Sony headphones instead. Which happen to be less than 1/6th the cost. So I did, and the quality of Sony on a $60 dollar pair is the exact same. Apple is overpriced and not willing to do their part on the warranty of their products. Sony is a better way to go and much better on your wallet read more

Kudos to Jedediah. He was excellent with support last Friday, November 8. Apple was too. My wife bought a new Macbook and needed to transfer the setup from a very old Macbook to the new one. She is very non-technical. We arrived at twenty minutes to ten (they open at 10:00 AM) and were greeted by an employee outside. He took our information and directed us to the help desk when they opened. We entered at 10 and waited at the help desk for about five minutes. Jedediah called us and immediately began giving us clear instructions and handling the transfer. He explained well and gave us useful advice along the way. He was highly knowledgeable (which an Apple person would be) and a great teacher to us old people (which some Apple people are not.) Jedediah is a natural teacher, very friendly, and quick to understand our problems. Many thanks to him. read more

Honestly so upset right now. I had purchased an Apple Watch only 48 hrs ago to which was damaged and we came in to try to solve the issue only to be told it was our fault. Horrible customer service. I think it's absurd to say that "none of your products are sold with any default." You therefore always put the customer last and your products first. Hand down worst experience I have ever had at ANY store I have ever been to. So unorganized! they had 3 "security guards" who are not apple genius' directing customers and I saw them troubleshooting an elderly women's phone. I witnessed an altercation between a customer and the "security guards" because he had his appointment confused with a different location and the "security guards " were so rude to him. When the manager finally came out to "help" him the manager just made the guy leave in the most embarrassing way. I felt so bad for the guy. terrible customer service. My son's MacBook Pro had a very small amount of water go into the USB. They are charging 1,300 to perform the repair. it sounds like they did not even open up the case to perform any analysis. they just saw a sensor was tripped and they are swapping out the whole board. based on the cost, apple is charging a large markup to swap out the board. I am unlikely to purchase apple computers in the future. I paid premium to purchase Macs for the family. I would expect apple to provide better support for their customers and not gouge their customers to perform minor repairs. read more

Just read many of the reviews for this location and many are a year old or older than mine today . I am finding that there is nothing new and improved about Apple customer service. It is still Horrible. I am being kind when I say Horrible. The manner that this company is conducting business with their customers and co workers is a problem in many ways. There are many people who say their experience with this location and others are bad, but let's face it Apple and their products have a hold on too many people and Apple employees think and do what ever they want. Oh yea, there are no "genius " there; only people who think they are important. I can say these things because I paid a visit to this location today and was very dissatisfied. I made an online purchase for a new I phone 13 pro. I was sent a e mail of the invoice for sale and confirmation that the phone was in stock for pickup. Later that same day I made the trip to pick up new phone and was told by the "Non" Genius that I would have to wait two days till the sale cleared the financial institution. I call Bull. It was the same as me walking into the store and making the purchase . Finally there was one employee who actually understood how business is actually suppose to be conducted and gave me my phone that was all the time paid for. The management and everyone but the one person who worked there on this day should be fired . Apple has a problem but it will not be fixed until the s public stops doing business with Apple. This was the worst customer service experience I've ever had in my entire life. My phone malfunctioned and I took it in for service. The employee who worked on my phone informed me that the phone could not be fixed and needed be replaced. He noted that they didn't have any of the models in stock and would need to order one. He noted it would be here in two days. THREE, not two, days later the store called me to inform me my part was in. I was confused as I had been told and received an email noting a replacement phone was what I was waiting for. When I asked the employee to explain, he noted that the employee who worked on my phone was wrong and didn't know the protocol since he had been working remotely and was recently back from remote work. It is not the customers problem that employees can't be kept abreast of protocol changes but they took not responsibility and kept saying I was misinformed. They asked me to bring the phone in for repair. I brought the phone in at 12:30. they noted the phone would be ready at 1:45. I arrived back at the store at 1:45 to be told the phone would not be ready unto 2:15 and when I asked why I was told 1:45, I was basically called a liar. I arrived back at 2:15 only to be told my phone would be ready at 2:25. I sat outside the store and gave them until 2:30 only to be informed my phone was still not ready and the part fix did not work and now I had to go to a different apple store to pick it up. They noted they were putting old phone back together to send me on my way. 10 minutes later I was then told they somehow magically had the model of my phone and could replace it. Another 10 minutes passed while two employees fumbled and bumbled finding my SIM card. I missed my son's 3:00 Dr appointment as a result. Not once during this entire encounter did anyone take accountability or communicate any sense that they gave a shit. I will never step foot in this apple store again. Complete incompetence and lack of accountability. I don't know who manages this store but it's chaos there. Apple stores are known for their ease, efficiency and organization. This particular store fails spectacularly. Apple should be embarrassed to have their name here. What a shame. When coming here to give the review, I can see how low their rating is and should have looked at that prior to engaging with them in the first place. read more
