I purchased a used car about 8 months ago. Had joe in sales help me with the purchase and it was a pleasure. No issues with him at all no problems with get the deal done. what problems I did have is after I bought the car my close friend said he recently bought a car from them, and the cabin air filter was not changed along with the cars air filter when he bought it. we checked mines and same thing near was changed, even though they say the cars goes through a 128-point inspection before a sale. whatever I changed them on my own contacted joe and have email proof on this matter. Fast forward a few months after that I go to do my first oil change on the car get underneath it and the underbelly splash shield is completely missing. I send an email to joe about it and do not get a response back even though my email told me he opened it. called and left voicemails no call back. I end up calling the manager over there on this matter and he goes on to tell me it was a used car so basically this is not their problem. which I do not get when the car was certified preowned when I bought it. He goes on to tell me I could bring my car in for service and have them look at it and they could give me a price to repair it which I was not going to do when the car should have come with it in the first place before the car rolled off the lot. The salespeople are nice and friendly but if you decide to stop in there and purchase a car from them I would for sure check over every little thing and make sure they actually did the full inspection on the car before signing the dotted line. read more

My experience leasing a CRV was fine to begin with. Service was great. But when my lease was up the problems started. I wanted to see the new version of the CRV and waited for the salesman who I worked with before. A sale was going on and he could hardly wait to get rid of me when I said I wanted to lease - tried to sell me last years model. When I went with another dealer and they turned my CRV in I found out there was a $450 fee which I was never told about when I signed the lease and they said 2 tires and a wheel were damaged (one sidewall had a one inch flap of rubber) for another $800 in fees. They use CAL Automotive as the leasing company and I was told they're horrible. I've leased Volkswagens, Toyotas and Subarus and never had a situation like this. I left 2 messages with the sales manager and he never called me back. I'll never go back. read more

a year ago i wrote a review sharing my experience of buying a used crv that stank of cigarette smoke once the dealer air freshener wore off. it still smells, but after a lot of remediation i can live with it, as long as i leave everything open most of the time. my complaint now is this - every month apple honda service department calls me. i assume they are calling me to set up an appointment for service. as if i would ever go back. i have never heard of a car dealer doing this. usually i had to wait in line to get an appointment at apple honda, not have them begging me to show up. a piece of advice for apple honda - treat your customers with respect, good faith, and honesty and you will rebuild your customer base. cold calling disenchanted customers isn't going to do it. read more

Avoid service department as they have a tendency to suggest unnecessary items. Every time I go there they have a few items to take care of. Of course my car is fine and my private mechanic often contradict their suggestions. My car was there for inspection they said you passed by the brakes are low, should be addressed right away. I said no, put the new inspection sticker and I will be on my way. My mechanic found 4mm pad left and I drove for another year before replacing. Newest scam is synthetic blend oil. They choose synthetic blend oil their own for older Hondas although honda recommend regular oil for all models until 2010. With synthetic blend they can charge 65 bucks, regular oil 40 bucks. They did update their showroom recently so that has to be paid for by someone I guess read more

While I'm not one to write reviews, I feel compelled to do so this time. After being completely devoted to another Honda dealership on Long Island and purchasing/servicing many cars with them for years, it was time for a new car and I decided to expand my search elsewhere. Walking in, I was brought over to Jim Quartuccio a sales consultant with the dealership. From the start, I was extremely transparent that my business was always done at another dealership and discussed the type of vehicle I'd like, financials etc. Within minutes, Jim had a car pulled around front for me to test drive and got in the passenger seat to take me for a drive and while driving explained all of the key features of my now beautiful new 2018 CRV. From start to finish, Jim made my personal experience as comfortable and professional more than any salesperson ever had for me. He was personable, honest and made the entire purchase a complete pleasure. He even explained his background in sales and made you feel like a friend, not just another person walking in to buy a car. I will continue on to say that my experience with Juan their Allstate rep who handles your vehicles insurance transfer and Brian my designated finance rep were equally straightforward and personable. My experience yesterday was one that needed to be shared because too many times people are quick to write a review about an unpleasant experience rather than one that was stellar. Apple Honda will hopefully be my new go to dealership and I look forward to more positive experiences with them in the coming years with my new vehicle. read more

These people are robbers! Went there for recall which they took care of. They offered me24 point free check up which I did. Told me I needed front rotors and pads ,cutting into rotors. Said I ll come back. Went to my Machanic. No problem with brakes. They weren't t even half worn. Apple quoted me 500 dollars. My guy quoted350. When he looked there was nothing wrong. I brought my car in for an oil change, tire rotation and a NYS inspection on 7/27/21. After about an hour, a worker said my car was done and told me I needed 4 brand new tires all around my car so there is no point for a tire rotation. Tires were on sale so I purchased the tires and had them put on my car along with other recommendations. My total service bill was $1,086.29. Today my check oil light went on and said the dashboard read I had 15% oil. I called Honda service and they kept redirecting me to people whom I got their voicemail including the service manager. One female worker there responded to me "That's a lie!" after I told her they never changed my oil. She continued to say that they probably forgot to reset the board, it happens all the time. Then she redirected me again to a voicemail. My husband came home from work just to check my oil because I was furious and he said it was dirty. Definitely never changed. I kept calling Apple Honda service for 2 hours and keep getting the run-around. I called my husband and asked him to call. About 10 minutes I after I got off the phone with him, he called me back and said he got an appointment for Thursday at 8am. How on earth did they not give him the run-around? Is it because he's a male? Are the sexist too????? I am so disgusted with this company! read more

Horrible customer service. Our 2017 Honda Pilot was having driving issues and we were getting warning lights. We bought our car from North Shore Honda. We paid $2,195 for the extra Honda Care warranty. We called our home mechanic (80 miles away). He suggested bringing it to the nearest dealership to have them look at it because based on what we told him it might be unsafe to drive or breakdown. We went to Apple Honda. The rude service manager (John) told my handicapped husband that without an appointment he couldn't help us. I asked what we should do if we break down? He snottily said "rent a car". I asked why they wouldn't supply a cuortesy car? He said we have none and if you bought the car from North Shore Honda that's where you have to take it! I will never buy another Honda!!! read more

My wife and I went in to check out the new CRV . After our test drive we sat down and went over the numbers. I think the manger thought we drove up in a Rolls Royce and recently had a stroke because the numbers were so far off. First of all the warranty is good until 36 months but the quote was for 39 months. That means it would cost an additional fee to be covered for the three months. The sticker price was 34,635.00 . They dropped it to 32,995. By putting down taxes and fees the lease for 39 months came to 494.00 a month ! For a car that's only 32,995 is insane. They said we could finance it for the same payment but for 84 months! Insulting. If you know how leasing works, they said the residual is 63% after the 39 months. That means the car is worth 20,786.85 at that time . So we should only be paying for 12,208.15 of the car. That comes out to 313.03 a month. That's a 7,057.85 difference over their monthly payments . I don't trust this dealership and neither should you. read more

Made an online appointment for a recall and oil change on my 2013 CRV on Thursday for a Monday appointment.. Received a reply from their online specialist on Friday asking me for my VIN so they could make sure they had the part, which I provided.Got to the dealership on Monday and was told I was not in the computer and that they didn't have the part and had no record of my request even though I provided printouts of the on line transactions. I ended spending 3 and 1/2 hours at the dealership. To kill time I went into their showroom to look at the new models as I was in the market for a car. I open the doors and looked into about 4 or 5 models and not one person asked if I needed any help. I was the ONLY customer in the showroom and there was 6 or 7 salespeople there and only one was on the phone. The other ones were talking and joking with one another. When I paid for my service I commented to the cashier that business must be good. And he remarked that it was. I then told him I spent 15 minutes in the showroom and no one even talked to me. I went in for an oil change and handed in my keys which had a mini blade given to me by my dad very securely attached to my keys. I got my keys back feeling lighter than usual and noticed the blade was gone. It just doesn't fall off. I mean you would have to friggin try really hard to take it off. Worked diligently to lease a Civic for my son who is living nearby. It was a simple deal as Honda has a national lease with $1999 down and $189/month. Well, the finance manager John Bracken put in so many add on fees that the new total out of pocket was $4,800. Talking about disappointment. Anyways, I leased from another dealer which was the National lease. It really makes me question the ethics of Apple Honda. To make it worse, they refuse to give me my $250 deposit back. The service department needs to get rid of KELLY! She was very pushy and nasty to me on a service visit for my vehicle. I do not get all my services there, so a recommended service showed as overdue, but it was done elsewhere. I informed here of this fact, she refused to accept this fact. She was abrasive and demanding, I asked for another representative to assist, but she was insistant that she complete the service. Last time I was there and not since, I refused to let her take my car for service. I will need a major service soon, I will making the extra effort to take it to a competitor 45 mins further away where the customer service record is better. My mother bought a new car there and she had a similar encounter with this incredibly nasty woman! My mom has VIP service and you get car service home if you live in a 10 mile radius. She refused to allow my elderly mother the service stating she lives too far and refused to verify the fact while being very NASTY about it. By the way Kelly my mom lives 6.4 miles away! Now Kelly has called recently about a recall for her 2013 car that is not included in the "official Honda recall," it only includes the 2003 and 2004 models. She refuses to accept this and she's being insistant that she come in and we're all tired with the pushy way she throws maintaining the warranty as leverage. Too bad I can't rate zero stars. You lost my business but my mother shouldn't be subjected to the likes of Kelly. read more

Overall, I couldn't have been more pleased with the car buying experience. In addition, I service my car regularly at Apple Honda (Yes, I drive an hour each way, each time). My wife went in to get a new battery for both key fob's on our 2014 Odyssey. It was close to where she worked. Got 1 replaced at Nardy Honda and was charged 5.55 and they were nice enough to put the battery in. Apple Honda parts changed the batteries and had the nerve to charge 17.54 each for them. When she told them she paid 5.55 at Nardy, they said the price may have gone up and then told her that was for them to install it too? It looks like they take advantage of women as well. We called back because my wife found the receipt from Nardy, and they offered to give us a $10.00 gift card for the next time we service our car there. We will never go back again and let all our friends and relatives know to stay away. Cost us about $38.00' with tax and a lesson learned that not all Honda Dealers are the same! She walked out 3 hours later with a $500+ repair bill. None of the repairs done were urgent and could easily have been spread out over time if they indeed needed to be done.
