Came here March 11, 2026, the first days after the new Macbooks came out. My 13 inch M1 Chip MBAir was 6 years old and I wanted to upgrade to a 15 inch M5 Chip MBAir, so I did things online to purchase, and trade in, but I wanted to pick up at the store because I didn't want to do the entire swap a home and if problems, have to sit on hold to be walked through it all. I had a 11:00-11:15am window. The staff I interacted with were helpful, but the line for help in converting and upgrading macbooks, iphones, etc, was about 6 - 8 deep. So it took awhile to get to me. They got my new unit from the back, everything was smooth, but then I wanted xfer data from Old to New. The tech guy there said it could take 4 hours? That maybe I can make a Genius appointment for later (even days later) and leave it all with them, and we did make a appointment for the Genius, but meanwhile my conversion estimated time went quickly down from 90 minutes (not 4 hours), to about 30 - 45 minutes. So the roving genius did come over, but I said we are good because I will just stay till the conversion, which was down to 30 minutes. The tech guy explain to the older Genius that he was explaining worse case scenario to me, which the Genius just ignored him. Anyway, I had a 1TB HD on my old 13" MBAir M1, but only had half of that taken with data, so about 500GB, and it transferred pretty quickly, as mentioned above. And I had purchased a 1TB for the new one, too. I can see if I only got a 512GB HD for the new one, that might have been a problem, and more time. The other tech guys helped me trade in and wipe clean the old unit since the transfer was over. There was a little bug that coughed up at near the end of the process, kind of locking us out and stuck after all that time, which freaked us out, but the guy helping went over to a more experienced employee, and he was able to work through it. So all turned out good. therwise, I might have been SOL with no computer and to go home with which would have been a nightmare! I got $325 trade-in for my 13" M1 (it was clean! It had a good fitting plastic shell case on it for 6 years!) and that reduced the price of the new M5 15 inch. I put it on my Apple credit card, and it comes out to about $115/mo for 12 months, no interest. Of course you have to pay the sales tax (I did online.) This is for an M5 15inch Macbook Air, 24GB Ram, 1 TB HD, Starlight color. So it all worked out smoothly, despite some potential scares of spending 4 hours there, but that is exactly why I like to trade in my old and Xfer the data to the new at the store, because if anything hiccups, I may spend hours and hours trying to figure it out at home, then waiting for phone support, etc, and afraid of effing it up. Apple made it pretty comfortable overall. And most of the experienced staff were calm and patient, despite being pretty busy. read more

Attn: Branch Manager This is the second time I have experienced this issue at the Apple Store on Arden Way. I made an appointment the day before, arrived on time, and still had to wait nearly 90 minutes before a technician assisted me. I was pleasantly surprised when a young employee stepped in to help a lady while also assisting another customer. That level of initiative was appreciated and showed that it is possible to support multiple customers at once when appropriate. It raises the question of why technicians cannot assist more than one customer during periods when diagnostics are running or while waiting for systems to process. During those times, several employees appeared to be chatting with coworkers instead of helping waiting customers. To be fair, the technician who eventually helped me was extremely professional, helpful, and immediately apologized for the delay, which I appreciated. However, I asked several employees about the wait time, and they mentioned that waiting 40-90 minutes beyond an appointment time is normal at the Arden store. Appointments should provide customers with a reasonable expectation of timely service. I hope management reviews scheduling and staffing practices to improve the overall customer experience. read more

So much going here but nothing is happening ! About 60 people here and a few workers. I'm Here on early for my appointment . I have been reminded of this appointment but they are not on time. Pissed ! 15 minutes later nothing and they only have one Mac technician Allen on a Saturday. Allen recommend that I get rid of my computer because it's 3 years old rather than pay the $500 it would cost for repair. Allen took it to the back for less than 5 minutes. Its 205 now. Still no help. Sitting here and listening there are a lot of customer service comfusions and they all blame someone else for poor training. I made an appointment online. I got there a little early. The store had a lot of people. I did not see a person I can check in with. I haven't been here for years. I try to avoid coming here. When I came, I remember there was a check in person. It was more organized back when. I just asked someone in an apple t-shirt. They checked me in and asked me to sit at a table. I waited for quite a while, 40 mins. Seemed like everyone was getting helped, but me. When someone finally did come over, they explained the person I was assigned to wasn't available and then reassigned to someone else. The person who helped me was nice and helpful. I had to check in my laptop, they could not fix the problem on the spot. The problem was more in-depth. I would definitely avoid coming if I can. This place is liking going to the DMV. It's unorganized, the wait is terrible even if I made an appointment, other people waiting look unhappy. I really did what I could at home. I did a lot of trouble shooting. The apple site has a help site I used, but there was something really wrong with it. Also, calling back the repair department is terrible. I called back serval times, no one answers the phone. I couldn't ask for better customer service. I arrived around 30 minutes before my appointment. I went to check in and was told to come back in 20 minutes as they are running behind. I came back in 20 minutes and checked in again. The gentleman remembered my name and checked me in and told me to go to the back and wait on the cubes. I was there for a couple minutes and another staff member came up to me and made sure I had checked in, let me know he won't be the staff member helping me and he asked me if I had done the diagnostic yet. (He said it would speed up the process if I did it now while I waited.) I said no and he showed me how to do it. About 5 minutes after my appointment time another staff member, who was actually assigned to help me came up to me and sat on adjacent cube. She did another diagnostic on my phone. Asked me a lot of questions and I explained the issue. My battery was at 75% and inquired about getting a new battery. After a lot of talking I concluded as I was planning on upgrading soon that it would be best to just use a power bank till I got my new phone. It would be $89 plus tax to get a new battery and there is a risk of the phone getting ruined while they do the installation process and if that happens it will take 5 days to get me a new phone. A new battery won't guarantee the overheating problem I have been having. I currently have the iphone 13 mini and according to apple it's only worth $100 for trade in. I think my carrier will offer more. I can even trade it in for an new phone so we didn't go over the trade in options. read more

We came in ready to buy a phone with cash, but nobody seemed interested in actually helping us. We were told to wait for a very long time while employees were mostly standing around doing nothing. One employee especially just stayed there the whole time without helping customers at all, while seeming more focused on selling random accessories than actually assisting people who were trying to purchase phones. The whole experience felt very disorganized and unprofessional. We were ready to spend money, but instead felt ignored and like nobody cared. Very disappointing experience. read more

Noticed lately my iPhone doesn't hold a full charge like it used to and it was occasionally overheating. In the settings under battery it confirmed it was working at 75%. Scheduled an appointment on apple and brought it in to the Arden location. The friendly technician confirmed the issue I was experiencing and explained the process. Unfortunately they needed to order a part, the following day the part was delivered towards end of day so I brought the phone back two days later and dropped it off. They projected it be done in two hours and so I gave them five. When I went back to pickup my phone they explained they couldn't safely get the battery out without possibly breaking things, so they were giving me a (refurbished) new iPhone. I had to then go to AT&T to get my number switched over and additionally spend the rest of the night logging into my apps and confirming apple payments. I like that they stood behind their service and replaced it instead of doing something potentially damaging. I stopped by Apple Arden Fair to upgrade my phone from the iPhone 12 to the new, iPhone 17. After a frustrating shopping experience at Verizon, I was extremely satisfied with Apple and the level of customer service. Before entering the store, there's a queue outside, and fortunately, there was only one customer ahead of me when I arrived on late Saturday afternoon. Given the amount of foot traffic, I would highly recommend scheduling an appointment. After checking in to the queue, I was paired up with Jojo to support me inside the store. She showed me all of the iPhone 17 color options, helped me with the manual transfer between my iPhones, ensured my iCloud was backup, explained my trade in-value (which I applied to my new phone), and assisted with applying a new screen protector and case. Jojo is an exceptional Apple Specialist and she made me feel comfortable throughout the process. She was personable and really went above and beyond to help me get set up. Thank you, Jojo, for making my Apple experience a seamless one! I highly recommend shopping at this store for your Apple product needs. This is a good store. It can be very busy, and you may Have to wait a while if you come in on a walk-in basis. All of the employees are friendly, and beyond knowledgeable. The best thing to do to get in, is to make an appointment. If you know what you are buying, you can buy it online and then pick it up at the store. If you are military or a veteran, you can go to the Apple military store online, and get 10% off. I purchased two new iPads online, as my old iPads were running on 2021 technology, and they were running slow. I went to the military store, picked out my new iPads, selected all of the different options I wanted, and paid online. At the time, it also let me make an appointment to go down to the store and pick i them up. I completed my purchase, and then I was at the store less than two hours later. The store was extremely busy, as it was a Sunday afternoon. However, because I had an appointment, From walk-in to pick up to leave, all I have to do is show my ID, and I was out in only about 10 minutes. The only reason I'm taking off a star, is there needs to be more coordination with the website. I am trading in my two old iPads, and the webpage said that it had to send me a mailer. I could not walk in and do the trade-in at the store. When I got to the store, the Apple team member asked me if I had my trade-ins with me. I told her that I was told online that they did not accept trade-ins at the store. She apologized, and said that they would've taken it. They're definitely needs to be more coordination. UPDATE: I had two weeks to send my trade-ins back to Apple. However, I was out out of town for a week and a half, and I didn't get my mailers before I left for my trip. I was on day 14 of the two week window. I called Apple to confirm that I could still do my trade-in in the store, I made an appointment, and headed down to the store. It took about a half an hour, because they had to run a diagnostic on the old iPads to make sure they were good, and they were. I asked a guy in an Apple shirt, after he was done chatting with his friends, but was told to wait. Finally someone comes and then asked who was next? Well there was no check in, no line, and the customers didn't know we were responsible for that information. There's a bunch of us. Am I supposed to keep an eye on everyone? November 20, 2024 I put it off as long as I could, but it was time to replace my MacBook Pro 2015 computer. Because of its age, my MacBook was no longer supported by operating system updates (no security updates), and was at this point considered "obsolete" by Apple. Programs and apps were a bit glitchy, and my computer would shut down even with battery power remaining. So, knowing the end was near, I spent a few hours researching MacBook Pro vs MacBook Air. Then I followed the steps to prepare my computer for trade-in (or recycling), and carried it off to the Apple Store. We arrived at Apple around 10:30 on a Wednesday morning. The new 2024 MacBook Pro had just been released the week before, so I was not sure how much wait there would be before I could talk to an Apple associate. Turns out, I only had to wait about 5 minutes. I was pretty sure which MacBook I wanted, but team associate Sam was an enormous wealth of information. He really knows the products, and he was specifically interested in matching my personal use with the best product for me. He answered all our questions, helped with the selection, and then helped with the trade-in (not much $, of course, but I wasn't expecting much because of the age of my trade-in). My initial experience was terrible. I wanted help with receiving email on my iPhone from Xfinity. The guy that greeted me pointed me to a guy with a brown beanie. He looked at my settings which I verified were correct the night before. Then he said users are having problems with Xfinity, call Xfinity support, download some mail software, then suggested to google the answer, what a bunch of BS, by the way I have worked in IT for a long time. I asked to get appointment with Genius Bar. He said they could probably not help u, he basically discouraged me. I asked him to set it up and waited an hour. Despite the place always being super busy with customers the staff are always able to assist me with right away and explain new apple device features and comparisons. The staff are super technologically savvy and always get me in and out efficiently which is how I love to shop. Today I upgrade my Apple Watch 5 to the Ultra 2. I was able to get a $70 trade in credit from the old watch. I reapplied for Apple Card and was able to spread out my payments interest fee over 12 months. Oh yeah!! The "why" is too complicated to explain, and the short story is that the guys at this Apple Store took great care of us through a lot of questions, reviving an almost-totally dead phone so stuff could be transferred from the cloud, more questions, multiple purchases, and one return. They were patient, helpful, considerate, and never once rolled their eyes or said Boomer. We were very pleased, and they even invited us back if we needed anything. My 17 month old iPhone suddenly stopped working last weekend so I set up an appointment at this Apple Store when troubleshooting at home failed. I want to give praise to DeAnthony at the Genius Bar for his phenomenal service and outstanding personality. He explained what he thought was happening, gave me my options in case his efforts didn't bear fruit, but ultimately he was successful. He was so cheerful and conversational through it all. He also waited patiently (sorry) while I caught up with an old friend I ran into. Came here to get my Apple Pencil pro replaced under my AppleCare+ warranty. While the staff were friendly, they did not have any "service parts" available to provide an immediate replacement, instructing me it would take up to 5 business days for a replacement pencil to arrive. As a student, it's really hard for me to go without my pencil, as I highly rely on my iPad for notes and schoolwork. I ended up going to the store in Roseville the same day and got an immediate replacement right then and there, in and out in 10 minutes. Apparently Apple stores have a "service stock" vs a "sales stock", and for AppleCare+ replacements, they are not allowed to pull from their sales floor inventory. I appreciated the staff member Omar educating me on this. Just wish Apple Arden could have helped me out rather than having to go all the way to Roseville. read more

Went in to pick up a new iPhone, the person who just had to scan a code, and confirm who I was, first did not check my ID. Which is fine, but also was relentless on trying to upsell me on a case, and screen protector. So much so that he held onto my phone not giving me the pre-ordered device to do the song and dance of how a screen protector should be bought from Apple. I feel like no matter when you visit the Apple Store it's busy. Typically when we shop for Apple products we'll come into the Arden location to get them. It's pretty close to home and the staff is always friendly. How long you wait depends on the time of day and how crazy it is in store. You can make appointments ahead of time though. On our latest visit we went to upgrade our phones and stopped in a little over an hour before they closed. We definitely should have showed up earlier but they added us to the queue and someone was able to help us within 20-30 minutes. We already had our phones backed up but I had some questions on some of my apps and if iCloud would have access backed up or if I'd need my old phone to access them.... I found out too late I should have held onto my old iPhone phone for a couple days before trading it in. They do allow you to do the trade in deal after the fact, so my advice is to hold onto your old phone a bit longer just to make sure you can get everything set up on the new one without having to contact IT. They typically have everything we're looking for in stock and the team there is really helpful. The store is always clean and even when it's crowded there is a sense of organization and never too many people in there at once. read more

These people have lied to me three times about a simple loose charger port on my phone. I'm livid. They say they fix it, but they don't, then they turn their backs or they shove you out the door. It takes me 40 minutes to get there and they're absolutely a waste of my time, every time. The individual who was supposed to process my order was unable or unwilling to answer a simple question regarding the warranty. He also became quite rude even though I tried my best to be diplomatic. So I asked for the manager and he REALLY was rude with a huge chip on his shoulder. That is the last time I ever walk into an Apple store again. I wish I could remember the name of the Apple employee who helped me on Sunday, January 19, 2025. I came in feeling extremely stressed--my work laptop had suddenly broken right before a busy workweek and international travel. As a working mom juggling a high-stress job, preparing for travel, and dealing with a broken laptop, the last thing I wanted was to deal with a repair. I'm so grateful that I was paired with the gentleman who assisted me. He was not only warm and patient but more importantly, he was creative. He initially estimated about a week and a half for the repair, but after hearing my situation, he spoke with team members and devised a plan to overnight the necessary parts and do his best to have the repair ready in time for my trip. While he couldn't guarantee it, I was beyond relieved when I received the notification that my laptop was ready for pickup--several days before my travel date. I just want to express my heartfelt thanks to him for listening to my story, for his thoughtful approach, and for doing everything within his power to get my repair completed on time. But to alleviate this long wait time, all you need to do is book an appointment online and this "long wait time" isn't that big of deal. Sooooo... My 4 star rating is clearly for the customer service I received from team associate, Ashley on Sunday 11/26/23 around 1100. Ashley was super professional, knowledgeable and personable. She was so efficient in helping me with the purchase of a new IPhone 15. I came in with no real intention of purchasing a new phone but she made things so easy that I ended up purchasing a new phone on the spot. The transferring of information from my old phone to my new phone was so quick and easy. She made sure our purchase smooth and flawless. From start to finish were done within 30 minutes or so. Only thing that took long was transferring the info from my old phone to new phone. I'm so happy with my purchase. Horrible experience . I got there at 11am and got told I will be getting help at 3:15-4:30pm, I saw the place was packed so I completely understand. When i arrived there at 4pm, i was told my spot got moved to 5:50 but also I would potentially not even get help today. Checked in, asked about the wait time & a staff member said wait time was 10-15 minutes. I said okay. Had us wait ion the corner for someone to find us. 10-15-20 minutes go by, and I noticed people that came in after us were getting helped before me. After seeing this twice, I noticed something wasn't right. I checked in with someone to find out when will I be seen, and this person said "nobody checked you in." Come to find, nobody officially checked me in - now I'm frustrated. The check in system sucks. Moving on. I finally get helped by an associate named, Ashley. Thanks to her, my one star jumped up to 3 stars. She did an incredible job in the process of trading in my wife's iPhone 10 to iPhone 15. Ashley was very personable, efficient, friendly and product knowledgeable. She connected with my wife and I during the transition process while waiting for her phone to upload. The customer service we received from this Apple Store was excellent! I bought a new 16 pro max. The salesman explained the new features with no pressure to buy. I was helped moving my data from the cloud to the new phone seamlessly. However; later, I unpaired my SE Apple Watch and couldn't pair it back. My watch was now required to have an update first which failed with "Unable to verify update...you are not connected to the internet." So I scheduled a 2nd appointment in Arden Mall. Thomas, Apple Tech, also tried the update with the same results. He sent it to Apple Repair. I received the phone 3 days later fully updated at no cost! As a certified Apple whore.. every computer and every device we use is Apple, I can say the only time I've ever been disappointed is at the Arden Fair Store. The worst attitudes by employees and zero customer consideration. I would rather use an abacus and a couple of tin cans with string than rely on needing anything from this location.
