I've been relatively happy with t-mobile...but I will now avoid this location at all costs. They will do anything to make a sale. I set up a new service and they promised it would be quick...kept saying "We're almost done" when I told them how important it was that I leave. They kept me there until I wasted $300 theater tickets we had bought. The second issue was my landline. My previous. provider had addd a landline for $20/month. This t-mobile salesman said it would be free in the expanded bundle he convinced me to get. It was only "free" in the sense that it did not even exist. Now, I. have lost a number I have used for business for the past 40 years! Look at the distribution of stars in the reviews. It might average out to almost 3 stars, but MORE THAN HALF of the reviewers gave it one star. Would you go to a restaurant where you had a better than 50-50 chance of getting food poisoning?!? I did go once to the Howe Ave location. They seemed much better. read more

Absolutely disgusting experience from here. The sales rep that I worked with sold me 2 SyncUP Trackers saying that it was a "complimentary" with my phone purchase. It was not free. It costs approximately $50, however it's waived if you sign up for payment plan and pay for the service, which is $10 per tracker. This information was NOT DISCLOSED. He signed me up for two lines that I did not ask for. When I brought it back into the store, the manager refused to help me and told me that I can try going to another T-Mobile store because they're "only a retailer" and cannot process returns. What do you mean you can't undo YOUR mistake? The rep at the second T-mobile knew immediately what happened. He manage to process the returns for me be and also disclosed that MANY people had been in just that day to return their trackers because they were also not properly informed of what it was. I had to pay $20 for a restocking fee for each item that I returned. This was not a misunderstanding. This was a failure to disclose material terms and an unauthorized addition of services to my account. I will be escalating this to corporate. Customers should carefully review every line of their receipt before leaving this location. read more

Careful with this tmobile. They are NOT corporate tmobile so they do not abide by the usual tmobile rules! Any promotions they have are within their own business practices NOT with tmobile itself. Which did not happen as they swore it would. They also changed our original phone plan to one of the newer ones with lesser benefits. Which again, they did not care to clarify. Absolutely disgusting business practices. I'd give 0 stars if possible. My partner had recently broken their phone and this is what happened. The employee: 1) didn't accept their phone (despite T-Mobile advertising accepting iPhones in any condition in exchange for a free iPhone 16) 2) gave a "free" iPhone 14 with a $100+ activation fee attached and on the condition that they got off of their mom's plan and started a new one ($100/month) 3) lied about my partner's mom's plan price being $85/month when it was $66/month to make it seem like this new plan wasn't that much more expensive 4) didn't cancel their old plan, so they were charged monthly for both the old and new plan 5) gave my partner two "free" mobile trackers and didn't tell them about the $10/monthly fee they would be charged for 6) created this new plan labeling it as a business account when my partner didn't indicate they own a business or would use this plan for such? I don't fully understand why he did this but it's safe to assume it was not an accident. Overall, this place took advantage of my partner who was clearly in a state of anxiety and needed help with figuring out their phone. I don't think this is the sole fault of the employee that was there as he had to call his boss multiple times to ask him questions. This whole store is run by scammers who do not care about you or your needs. They only want your money and will lie and manipulate you to get it. The reason why you should NEVER GO to this company is because the employees are taught to sell . The deals and promotions do not benefit you they benefit the company and incentive program the employee is attempting to achieve. Your billing will not be what they tell because they do not know. And now it's higher again. I don't live in the area so apparently I can only come to this store to dispute my monthly payment. Now I'm trying to call them. Warning: 4 Glte is not 4 G let. You will not be viewing YouTube in HD not even 1080 I believe quality is 480 (yeah the year is 2017 not 2000) Also, you can't adjust Quality viewing either. I have an iPhone 6. So it's not an old phone. Do not open a line with T-Mobile at this store. They will lie and cheat to say whatever they want to get your money. If they say that they will give you 20% off your bill forever then make sure that they give you their employee code and information so you can get that discount and record the conversation on your phone for insurance. That discount is only for family members (found that out because I called and asked the "helpful" (eye roll) representatives), so if they say that to you they are lying. They do not refund SIM cards even within their own 14 day policy so don't even ask because as soon as you say "cancel my account" they will not help you at all and calling T-Mobile does nothing for you either. THE REPS HERE ARE TERRIBLE AND SNEAKY. Do NOT activate or purchase plans here. We were charged for 16 random "SIM card adapters" but the sales rep conveniently did not print out half of the receipt and put them on a month to month charge so that there was no way of us knowing until we got the bill for that month. We only found out when we tried to cancel our service 14 days later. The people here are sneaky and for what they did with our account, should be held responsible for what they did (but they weren't). I've been a T-Mobile customer for over 8 years. This was my primary "Go to" location up until last year. This specific retail location has the knack for hiring "Shifty" sales associates that like to "Bait and switch" and be less than honest with things. My advice, drive a little further and head to either the Howe Ave or Folsom locations. I came in to start a new service with my parents. The people here are super friendly. They picked up the phone promptly, unlike other stores who take forever to pick up the phone because they don't want to talk to people on the phone. I called because I wanted to know if this store was in the mall, which it is. Jauwon was the one that helped us out. He made everything simple and easy. He was able to answer all of questions. Worst customer service ever! My husband went in yesterday to upgrade to an iPhone6. Spent over 2 hours in the store trying to get his contacts moved across. (With the technician) he then left his LG there which hey brought for $60. he came home and noticed he was missing some contacts. He called them and requested the phone be put aside so he could come in the following day and copy the contacts across, which the guy on he phone assured him it would be kept aside. I called the next day as he was at work and I was going to go pick it up and just give the $60 back and get the phone so he can sit and go through it peacefully at home. Only to be told that the phone had been shipped THAT night. I am fuming!!! Not only were we told 3 totally different things, but the gentleman's reply on the phone when I informed him of this. Was such" he wasn't there so he didn't do it" I asked to speak to the manager, only to be told he is not available. I have family plans with T-Mobile for a while now and this is ridiculous. I am seriously considering cancelling all lines and moving networks. If this is the kind of customer service they provide. I will try and get in touch with the manager as I am not happy in the least. I wouldn't recommend anyone to them. They only see dollar signs and don't care very much for customer service. I don't recommend coming here. The customer service is very lacking. They just stare at you like you're a freak. I had to come in because a customer service representative told me that my problem had to be resolved in the store. Upon getting there, the assistant manager or person in charge told me in a hurry that they don't do the services I asked there. All I asked was to be able to find my pin code (which I forgot). I asked her if she could help me through the process of calling because that is what she suggested. Nope, she immediately tossed me aside and ignored me. I felt so awkward having asked for help and then just set aside to do everything by myself. I would say that it wasn't even their words that bothered me, it was the way they just looked at me like I was crazy. Sorry, it's not my fault the customer service representative of T-mobile told me to come in stores for something I can't do. I apologized and after I was able to get the code, I left and thanked them FOR telling me that I had to call and do things "all on my own." Literally. I really felt like I got stared more than I wanted, and I felt unwelcomed. Maybe was not worth their time helping. I am very disappointed in T mobile and in this location. I went into this store and tried to make a change in good faith from Verizon to T mobile based on their advertised claims. There are issues with their network and their service! I was told that I could have my daughter in Iowa on a T mobile network and it turns out I was misled and there is only roaming service there. Surprise!. . I have also noted that my service here in Sacramento doesn't compare well to my former carrier service. I have had to jump through multiple hoops and scramble back to Verizon so that my daughter had service in Iowa after I was told she would be fine on their network. Then, when her number would not port over and activate, I was told that oops, didn't they tell you that Iowa would be a roaming network?? The on-line technical support guy was the only one that could help with advising that the phone and service would not work there. What a hosed up mess! When I tried to reach out to my "personal" sales representative, the problem was blown off because they were all at a conference and not available. . I had to take care of getting things back on track to reverse things and customer service doesn't register complaints/concerns....really???. If you are considering coming to this location, be cautious. They appear to be interested in selling services at the outset, and the service after the fact is quite non-existent. Consider yourself warned! This T-Mobile location is terrible, unprofessional and sneaky! I've been a loyal T-Mobile customer since 2005. This was my first time to stop in at this Arden Fair Mall location because my phone was indicating No Service even though my husband's phone was operating just fine (we're on the same plan). I was immediately greeted by a salesman. His name was Joseph. I explained the problem I was having with my phone. For starters, he did NOTHING to try and troubleshoot it. NOTHING whatsoever. It was obvious he didn't know how to try and troubleshoot so instead, he went full on into his sales pitch. All he was interested in was making a sale! Not providing any sort of customer service. NONE. He told me I had a very old T-Mobile smartphone and basically, it just died and there was nothing he could do. Well it didn't die because I could still connect to WiFi and make and receive calls. The problem I was having was that I was not connecting to T-Mobile's Cellular Network. He told me that there was nothing he could do to fix my "outdated and old phone" and as he mockingly laughed at my old phone, he said he could get me "into a brand new smartphone for a great deal." I suddenly felt like I was talking to a used car salesman. A real live and genuine snake oil salesman. I was not use to being treated this way from T-Mobile since I've always had nothing but the utmost professional service from their staff. Joseph assured me that because my phone was so outdated and old (which he didn't hesitate to remind me over and over again), he stated very matter of fact that because my phone was SO OLD, it was no longer able to connect to the network. He tried to sell me a prepaid (cheaply made) LG model phone while he continued to make disparaging remarks about my cell phone. I told him I didn't want a prepaid phone since I have Unlimited Data and I like my plan and was not interested in a prepaid phone. He told me no problem, he would sell me the "prepaid" phone for the full price if I was interested AND if I "bought it today", he'd even throw in his special $20 off discount (because he knows how to "work the system" - his words not mine), He said there were somethings he knew how to do that other reps don't know how to do (wink wink nod nod) and he said, "you know what I mean?" I knew immediately what he meant. In layman's terms, he was letting me know that he knew how to be dishonest (and he'd be happy to do so if he could make a sale or said another way, make his quota/commission by being dishonest and disloyal to T-Mobile). I wasn't biting. I told him I needed to discuss it with my husband first since he's the tech savvy one and because it would be an expense on our budget, I didn't feel comfortable making that kind of financial decision without consulting my husband. He mockingly laughed at me and told me that he makes all the financial decisions at his home and "tells his girl" what to do - she doesn't get to tell him what to do! Well alrighty then. That was odd to say the least and insulting. His comment was pretty much the icing on the cake for me. The conversation was over before it even really began. I left the store frustrated because it was clear he was being completely dishonest and arrogant from the start and only interested in making a sale at all cost, including lying. He was a terrible representative for T-Mobile and I hope that his superiors read this review sooner rather than later. I'm considering sending a letter directly to T-Mobile's CEO and President John Legere so that he is aware that someone like Joseph is a VERY poor representative for T-Mobile's mission and goals and his actions should be addressed and corrected so that other customers never have to be subjected to him. He was arrogant and worst of all, he was deceitful and dishonest. Long story short: I immediately contacted T-Mobile customer service when I got home. I explained the problem and spared them the horrible experience I had just had at the Arden Fair Mall location. I was immediately connected to Tech Support. Tech Support was amazing, professional and courteous. Even apologetic that i was having such problems with my phone. They did all the trouble shooting and Voila! Guess what? They helped me navigate my "old" smartphone and got me up and running in less than 15 minutes and right back on to T-Mobile's Cellular Network. They were outstanding! Turns out there was NOTHING wrong with my phone. The settings were off. That's all, nothing major! I didn't need to buy a new phone. My old and "outdated" smartphone is still smart. Yesterday I came into this T-Mobile with my sister and we had a complicated order! We had several issues on our end about switching carriers, changing plans, unlocking phones, etc. We actually had to go back to that T-Mobile 2x yesterday to get everything done. Even though this place inside the mall was jampacked busy but surprisingly, I never had to wait more than 1 minute to be greeted and assisted. The 1st time I was helped by Karla and the 2nd time I was helped by Jose. Judging from the previous bad reviews on yelp, albeit many were from a while back, I was a little skeptical about coming to this location instead of the corporate store, but I was at the mall so I took my chances. And I'm glad I did. Both Karla and Jose were awesome! Karla was nice, thorough, and patient in explaining everything to me. Jose was friendly, helpful, and had good follow-through. He was committed to helping us resolve our problem (which he did), and he even went above and beyond by suggesting and trying to get our plan pro-rated because we didn't use our service for a week! We didn't ask about that but he thought of it and wanted to help. That's what I call excellent service. Going above and beyond to take care of your customers! Anyway, thanks so much Karla and Jose for your help yesterday! I'll definitely come back to this location again in the future if I have any T-Mobile related needs or questions, and I'll also spread the word to my family and friends how great you guys are!! Thanks again! Note: Only cons about this place is that they are not a corporate store and there are NO chairs to sit except for a tiny bench at the corner of the store. So it's very uncomfortable for the customers to be standing around for a long amount of time while being helped. Also, another thing is, they do not have enough computers for the staff to use (they only have 3 computers) so there's a lot of unnecessary wait time for a computer to open up. The owner and manager should really take note of this and put in some chairs and computers or ipads to help improve the customer experience. read more

My husband and I visited Tmobile location in Arden Mall Sacramento CA (1st floor) to have my screen protector replaced. I asked the young man if they have screen protector for my Galaxy Note 20 Ultra @ first he said, no. Then he asked his two (2) coworkers inside a male & a female coworkers both said there's nothing available/ no stock and mind you there's no customer inside the store they were just chatting with each other didn't even bother to look/check. So I asked if we can go inside the young man let us in. My husband & I went look for ourselves & there it was. My husband called the young man & he got me the screen protector. So the 2 staffs blatantly lied to us & that really upset me but I kept my composure. To the Tmobile management, I'm very disappointed with your staffs & maybe you need to remind & retrain your employees about customer service. My husband and I have been with Tmobile for about 14+ years & we deserve better than this. Also didn't get an apologies from your staffs but instead they both walked away. We initially went in on Sunday afternoon to check out the 4 phones/$100 promo and it was a pretty busy day. We were greeted and it took them about 10 mins or so for someone to come up to us and see what we were in the store for. After looking around for awhile, we were called by Victoria. She was really helpful with all the questions that we had for the phones and the deal. We went back in on a Tuesday evening and were told that Victoria wasn't in but was directed towards Joe H. For 2 1/2 hours, he helped us with everything. It was an EXTREMELY long process but he was EXTREMELY patient and EXTREMELY helpful with us. I cannot stress enough about how great he was a sales rep!
