Great service fair price and very friendly would hire again. Had my old phone outlets wired with Ethernet

Thomas was exceptional; came out originally for a consultation/estimate, ended up knocking out the entire installation, same visit. Was courteous, showed up same day, and knew exactly what he was doing. Highly recommend Thomas Allan Pro AV Networking read more

Thomas Allen Pro AV Networking - Home Network Installation Near Me

Communication was timely and clear, and pricing was explained up front. He kept me posted on his ETA, arrived when he said he would, and finished within the timeframe he quoted. He quickly diagnosed the issue, terminated the RJ-45 Ethernet jacks/cables, and had every tool and part needed--no surprise runs to the store. Professional and polite the whole time, and the price was very reasonable. The work was neat: cables labeled, area cleaned, and he even wore boot covers in the house. He also said if anything he touched stops working, he'll come back and troubleshoot at no charge. The services requested were provided. Invoice arrived by email right after the job. Highly recommend! read more

Thomas responded immediately to our request to have a satellite dish and all cables removed. He was thorough and even removed some other old cable that was attached to the house He arrived on time and we will use his services again. read more

I had two old satellite dishes attached to my house that I requested to be removed. $100!per satellite removal. Thomas Allen was very prompt and had good communication. He was able to come within a couple of days and did a great job. read more

The service was quickly scheduled when I called to inquire and the price was reasonable. The technician communicated around their arrival time and went right to work fixing the problem with my home wiring. The builder installed cat 5 wiring throughout the house and did not finish the ends so the wires could not be connected to the Ethernet ports nor the router. The technician tested each wire, labeled the rooms for each connection and helped me to test all of them before leaving to ensure everything was working. read more

I've been wanting to get our house wired for Ethernet for a while now, but didn't have the knowledge to run wiring for a two story house. After looking around the area for installers I ran across these guys and had them come out to look at the project and get a quote. Thomas worked with me on the initial specs for parts explaining options, pricing, etc., and also giving an opinion on why it might be better to go with certain spec components over others. I felt the price was very reasonable and decided to proceed. All of the runs were very professionally installed and work exactly as expected. We had a slight miscommunication on how I wanted a couple of the connection points to be done, but they came back out the next day and corrected it to my preferences which is great. I wasn't expecting them to be able to make it out right away like that since the initial project was over. They also made sure to leave the work areas cleaned up of debris at the end of each day. Now I'm looking forward to building the network up with some good quality routers, switches, access points, and a NAS. With this project complete I now have the ability to do all that. Thanks guys, I'll definitely be recommending you to anyone I know that needs work like this done. read more

We are a media team that needed 2 ethernet ports ran into 2 separate rooms of our office. Thomas was extremely organized, professional, and kind. He came up with an amazing solution that kept us from having to drill through our brand new hardwood floors All of the work including the holes, wiring, and communication (even the clean up)was done at the highest level. Thank you Thomas! Any electrical work in the future we will be giving you a call! read more

I cut the cord from Dish Network to convert to an OAT Antenna free service. My only issue was figuring out the existing coax cable layout that ran to 3 TVs. I called Thomas and he was very knowledgeable and helpful. He sent out a technician who arrived early and not only mounted the antenna but quickly figured out how the coax cables were set up. In short, it was money well-spent and the overall value was 100% worth it. I now have 50+ free channels, many in HD! Highly recommend this company for all your AV needs. read more

Thomas is amazing and was super helpful with the work we wanted done. When we bought our home, it already had an in-ceiling AV system set up, but it was wired strangely. My husband wanted to get all the speakers on the same system so we could listen to music throughout the house instead of just in one room at a time. We initially went with another company, paid in full, and then crickets....then got a notice that the company filed chapter 7 bankruptcy. I reached out to Thomas again to see if he was still able to perform the work. Not only did he come out to our home a second time free of charge to refresh his memory, he also gave me guidance on how to file a complaint with the licensing board about the other company. He made it very clear what parts I needed to order, sending links for the specific items. When it came time to install, Thomas was at our home all day running cables through our attic, patching small holes from the previous owners, and more. When everything was done, he spent another hour or so getting our new system set up and walking us through it. He was super patient and very helpful. I cannot recommend his services enough - he truly does know what he is doing and is really fantastic! If you need AV services, Thomas is 100% your guy! read more

I have over the air TV which was originally set up years ago by one of my sons. Frustrated with poor reception in the master bedroom I FINALLY decided to try to find someone to, perhaps, replace my antenna. The search was not easy, calls went unanswered - until Thomas answered. I told him there was no hurry but, less than 48 hours later . . . my problem is solved and no new antenna needed. His trouble shooting discovered an "understandable mistake" made by my son that was easily fixed - Thomas knows his stuff. It was nice to hear his compliment that my son had pointed the antenna in the right direction - always wondered about that. 2/16/2022 was a good day for me! read more

After reading through many reviews for various companies, I came across Thomas Allen's website, and was impressed the way his business was presented and all the positive reviews. I wanted to have an outdoor TV antenna mounted, a distribution amplifier installed, and coaxial cabling run to three locations in my house. Thomas responded to my inquiry quickly, then discussed methodology, parts and pricing. We set an installation date, and his crew arrived right on time. The installation went smoothly. Once installed, TV reception was perfect. There were a couple of questions I had after the installation, and Thomas was quick to respond. I highly recommend this company. read more

I'm not sure what happened. He came out and gave me a quote and we set an appointment to get the work done in a couple of weeks. The day came and he was a no show. I tried calling and texting that day but no answer or response. In the following weeks I tried again to reach him without any luck. My hope is that he fid not fall ill. We had a very positive first impression of him at the estimating appointment and are willing to talk and hire him if there is a reasonable reason that he dropped our appointment to repair my mom's TV antenna and connections. read more

Thomas is great. Knowledgeable, great energy, attitude, and very professional. Having recently moved to a new house I engaged Thomas to run CAT6a cable throughout. It took them 3.5 days to get it all done - some of it was incredibly tricky - but they completed the work within the original budget. I must say that out of all the contractors I had rendering services at the house, Thomas was one of the very few that didn't "want to get rich" out of this one job. I'd hire him again in a heartbeat. read more

Thomas is terrific. Thomas helped me with some network cabling and after listening to me and looking over the work immediately recommended solutions that were the simplest, cleanest and best which greatly simplified what I thought needed to be done. Thomas's tech completed the work perfectly at the appointed time and I couldn't be happier. Thomas is honest and professional and represents the best of how to do business. read more

Inquired about adding TV antenna to attic to receive local free airway channels , 39 stations were found in a new home that has radiant barrier in attic. Was told upfront this might not work, but with the most powerful Winegard HDTV antenna it was successful! The techs came in with a giant size TV antenna and found the sweet spot. Easy to work with, efficient and got the job done quickly. Kudos to the Techs! Truly have cut the cord from BIG BROTHER cable/satellite providers no more $100 month for too many channels not worth my time. read more

The guy wires to our 30 year old roof antenna snapped in the New Years Eve wind/rain storm and our antenna was blown off our roof. We do not want cable or a dish, so getting a new roof antenna was a must have. I looked at several yelp reviews and settled on 3 companies. Thomas Allen was the only one to promptly contact me. His quote was reasonable and the installation timing couldn't have been better. After discussing where to put the new antenna with his installer, Tom, I decided to have the new antenna installed on my roof's fascia instead of the roof top. Tom installed a new coax cable jack in our bedroom and replaced the old cabling to our family room. The new antenna held up very well in the subsequent wind and rain we've experienced since. We couldn't be happier with our TV reception and the service we received from TAP AV Networking and would highly recommend them. read more

There is something to say about someone keeping their word. I would highly recommend hiring Thomas if you have wiring or networking needs. I had several rooms that needed drops for Ethernet connection. They literally ran into some road blocks (fire walls in the walls) that made the job more difficult and time consuming. Thomas honored the original bid and made sure we were 100% satisfied. read more

I'm a "cord-cutter", have OTA antenna'. A technician adjusted direction and stabilized antenna to a point that my station reception were more than previous. Will contact them for resolution and temporarily tolerate the inconvenience read more

Matthew came by and did a great job working around our mess of a situation. We appreciated his work enough to keep adding to it! I had a very specific project - installing a home cell phone network booster I'd bought on Amazon. This required installation of a network of antennas inside my parent's house and outside. First, I hired someone on the Handy app - big mistake. They had no specialty or knowledge. Then I found Thomas here on Yelp and this sounded similar to the networking installations he routinely handles. I called him, explained the project, and he was certain his team could tackle this. I eventually connected Thomas's team with the manufacturer and they were able to walk through troubleshooting and optimization live. His guys were very patient, knowledgeable and were able to fix the mistakes the Handy installer made and DO THE JOB RIGHT. So thankful I found Thomas! I will be using him to install perimeter security cameras next - they are experts. Thomas was prompt, responsive and a joy to work with and his guys were very professional. 5 stars plus!! read more

Of the several companies that Yelp "recommended" and that I reached out to, Thomas Allen Pro AV Networking was the only one that got back to me and in a timely manner I might add. Thomas came to my home, assessed my needs, provided me a fair quote, setup an appointment to perform the work and install that met with my schedule and showed-up on time as expected! Thomas personally handled all aspects of my job despite having a qualified crew that works for him. The job was completed to my satisfaction with a guaranty on his work that can't be beat! I highly recommend Thomas Allen Pro AV Networking and will actually be using his company on my next project which will be a custom home build where I will engage them from the ground up on a full house sound system (interior and exterior) as well as a full interior and exterior security camera system. Two-thumbs up and five stars!! read more

I had Thomas wire our house for ethernet. Work was around 12 runs which included 2 APs being mounted, pulling coax for internet, and installation/mounting of a rack for what's essentially an MDF (really just a walk in closet). Thomas was great to work with, great to talk to, his workers were respectful, on time, etc. The job was also very clean - cables were tied up neatly, no mess left behind, etc. Really a great experience; would use them again without hesitation. read more

I wanted to install antenna in the attic. A few other folks that I contacted earlier either could not do the job or suggested I will not get any reception, it's a bad idea etc. But Thomas has years of experience doing this kind of work and that came thru in our conversation. Everything went smoothly, get about 70+ channels on 2 outlets in the home. But one of the outlets was not working, realized later there is another cable hidden behind the closet and that's probably the one to use. Called Thomas, he came by right away and got it all working. Didn't even charge extra for the second trip. Needless to say I am extremely happy with his service. He is the best guy for your AV jobs read more

I would hire Thomas for all of my networking and cabling work. He is the best and a professional. I would have gave him more than 5 stars, but that was the only choice for maximum kudos. I am forensics engineer with a professional engineering license. I am either in the field working on gathering evidence, or in my office located within my home. In the past I have had AT&T service come in to upgrade my phone system from POTS to VOIP, and in the process they screwed up the entire CAT6 system. I then canceled AT&T and contacted WAVE Broad band to upgrade my telephone system and high-speed internet. When they came in they could not figure out what AT & T had done to screw up the cabling and network system so they ran an extra cable directly to my phone system to make the telephones work, and in doing so, they further screwed up the entire cabling and network system in addition to leaving unprotected and unterminated wires hanging out of the wall as well as a total mess at the service box where all data enters or exits the system. I decided to contact a professional firm to correct then entire system so it worked as it should to allow all phones, internet, and networked equipment operate / function properly. I hired Thomas Allen for the job. When Thomas arrived and observed what the others had done, I thought for sure he would pass on the project. However, within the first 10 minutes he knew exactly what needed to be done. A few days later, I had a fully functional system with internet, phones, computer network, as well as security and throughout the office and the remainder of the structure.
