Do NOT visit this Verizon store, especially if you're looking to upgrade your phone. I stopped by this weekend with an appointment and the intent to purchase a new iPhone. First impression was this is a smaller store with unprofessional sales associates. I was helped by Courtney, and she tried to convince me to upgrade my plan to "save money," despite the fact that I am not the account holder nor expressed any interest in revisiting my plan with Verizon. Her sales pitches were confusing, and she did a terrible job of explaining the options available. Overall, I feel like she did not understand my shopping needs, and her sales tactics felt very manipulative, especially when we started inquiring about how buying with Verizon would be any different than Apple. Save your time and your money. I got a better deal at Apple with my trade in value and they don't charge an additional $30 fee to "setup" your phone like Verizon. I understand that sales associates are commission-based, but this isn't the way to land a sale. Other sales associates were disruptive and even interrupted my appointment. Went in for an upgrade and was manipulated with deceptive sales techniques. The salesperson made it seem like I'd get a charger, case, and a cable thrown in with the phone purchase, but was charged for all of it. Was charged over $200 for liquid screen protector which was applied to my devices before I was told the price. I admittedly did not ask the price, but they should have at least told me how much this product was before applying it. Prices or monthly payments not verbally discussed at all. If you come here, ask every question, say no to the add ons, and keep track of the everything yourself because the salespeople are not looking out for your best interest. read more

I recommend avoiding this store for upgrades. They add extra fees of $10 per phone, plus a $39.99 "in-store" setup fee per line. Additionally, you'll see a $35 upgrade fee on your bill, totaling $74.99 before tax. This information wasn't communicated during the ordering process. Also, if you order phones, they are only delivered to the store, and you must wait for all phones to arrive before you can pick them up, even if one is already there. Your best option is to order online through Verizon or go directly to Apple. Lesson learned. read more

I wanna give big props to the staff here at this Verizon Authorized Retailer. I feel bad for not asking for her name, but the woman who helped me a few weeks ago went above and beyond in getting my new iPhone set up! Long story short, I grabbed my new iPhone from the Apple store and got it unlocked, totally forgetting I needed a Verizon SIM card. I could've had that taken care of at the Apple Store but didn't think about it until I was home and trying to set up my new iPhone, which wasn't connecting to the network. A quick call to Verizon Support and I realized I needed to go into the store to get my new SIM Card. I was helped immediately by a very personable employee who chatted with me as she worked on getting my new phone set up. After she looked at my ID to confirm I was an authorized user on my account, it turned out we both had March birthdays. I think hers may have passed at this point. Happy birthday to my March birthday twin! She was stoked for my new phone (my last was an iPhone 8+) and was kinda enough to even waive the set up fee for me (which would have been $30 or $35, I think). Again, just exceptional service here. I was in and out in less than ten minutes with a phone that was working immediately. I don't anticipate needing to visit any Verizon store very frequently, but I will definitely be back here when I need to! read more

I called and they explained that my phone was too old and that I would have to purchase a new one, I chose to drop verizon, however, they didn't stop collecting my auto payments!! I have tried for 3 months now to stop billing and they tell me that I don't have an account with them and there is nothing they can do!!! Yes, the staff at this location (that is NOT owned by Verizon) are nice, but that's probably because they're using deceptive tactics to sell you accessories that you didn't ask for and were not even informed that you were purchasing. I literally asked if I had to pay for the case the employee so kindly helped me pick out and he said "no, it's included." Then why is it on my invoice with numerous other accessories I never agreed to purchase? He just forgot to mention the the $300 worth of charges?? Overall it's basically a similar story to what Morgan S notes in his review. Didn't know I needed to be worried about getting scammed just trying to get a new phone when I thought I was going to a reputable Verizon dealer. After looking up the company that runs this store, Victra, this is what they do all over the US - using deceptive practices to charge people for things they didn't ask for and then replying how sorry they are "for any inconvenience." 07/01/2021 - Made an appt, spoke to the rep and told him that I would be using my VerizonUp while trading-in my phone. He scheduled an appt for 7p. I get there at 7p and waited a few minutes. I tell the lady what my plans are and it just went downhill from there. As I look around, I notice that none of their phones are on display, we can't even look at potential phones before we buy. I tell the lady that I can't decide between the iPhone 12 and the iPhone pro. She brings out this raggedy display of an iPhone 12 and tells me that she doesn't have a sample of the pro for me to view. What? How? I say okay and I mention that the 12 is a little smaller and she says no it's the same size as my XR. No ma'am there's a noticeable difference and size and weight. She then tells me that the only physics difference between the 12 and the 12 pro is the 3rd camera lense on the back. Wrong again. I agree to the 12 pro anyways, we start going through the process and I mention my VerizonUp dollars and then she says that I can't use them there. What? I'll have to pay without it and then have the money placed on my Acct as a credit. Wait, what? But still, I agree to that. After she's verified my acct and my ID she proceeds to tell me that the transfer process takes an hr and they're closing in 45 minutes but they can keep my phone over night and I come back tomorrow or I just do everything tomorrow. Well why on earth did you just waste my time!?! You could have saved both of our times by telling me this upfront. As I'm walking out she says that I'll be given a survey for my experience with her and she prefers 9's and 10's...I'm not coming back. I'll just drive a little further to a real Verizon location. I walked into the store and see approximately 5 sales people standing around wankingand maybe 1-2 customers. "Sorry" says "salesperson" "we are over our limit . When I bought my iPhone 13 pro max, the lady automatically grabbed a $60 phone screen protector and $30 iPhone brick trying to add it to my purchase without me even asking for it. 2. They weren't upfront about the cost of the screen protector and when I asked for a receipt the lady said the receipt will be emailed to you which was never emailed. 3. The iPhone I got has an issue with the faceID sensor so when I went back 3 weeks later, the guy apparently put in an order for a replacement and said it would be here in 2 months since all the iPhones are sold out. Never heard back from them for 3-4 months. I have bought 2-3 different iPhones here in the last 3-4 years and have always had a terrible experience where I just feel gross from the people slimy ways they extract money from you without being upfront about it. read more

First I'd like to thank Verizon for being open for our communication needs during the pandemic. Mainly I want to thank Alex. He was so helpful and we had a lot that needed to get done! There was only so many customers allowed in the store at a time and he still spent as much time on us as we needed, and helped answer all the questions we had. He told us about the promotions and got us a great deal and we were able to switch our whole service from att to Verizon! I work in customer service and being in that field is not easy right now with social distancing and everything going on... but Alex followed all the social distancing rules, made us feel safe in the store and still had a great funny positive attitude and made what would have been a difficult process so easy! I have been to this store 5 or 6 times over the course of the last couple of years. All the staff I have interacted with during those visits have always been friendly and extremely helpful. Last Monday I lost my iPhone and, for reasons that don't matter, the Find My Phone function didn't work. I went to this store for help because of my past positive experiences. I was helped by Lakea who had also helped me a couple of other times in the past. She figured out why Find My Phone didn't work and laid out my replacement options, what to do if I found my lost phone and why certain things weren't backed up on my iCloud account. She probably spent two hours helping me by setting up my new phone, retrieving as much as she could from my iCloud back-up and making sure that my settings were properly configured. A week later I recovered my lost phone and went back with it to this store. Lakea transferred all the missing data to my new phone and arranged for me trade in my old phone for a $800 credit. In he course of doing so, she figured out that my wife could trade in her phone instead and keep my lost phone which was a newer model. She then offered to make an appointment later in the week so my new phone and iPad could be configured so that the data on both was shared so I, in effect, would have a second back-up. The point is Lakea went way above and beyond in her customer service. I highly recommend this store and Lakea if you are a Verizon customer or want to be one. read more

I walked here after being released from hospital for domestic abuse having throat surgery. I had nothing but my debit card needed a phone to navigate. Halfway through purchasing prepaid 300$ phone (including additional sim cards I later discovered were not needed) the female associate was restless because "I wasn't speaking loudly enough" I tried to explain my situation she got annoyed a male employee completed the transaction. She returned while I was checking out I tried my best to speak louder and she said I was " yelling at her needed to leave or she'll call police" it's 11pm I can't Uber without a phone she was refusing to give me so I advised go ahead. She did Sac PD were very annoyed at the waste of resources allowed me to complete my purchase and drove me to my destination. They advised they received many calls from her and to not go there. I had the phone screen break about 6 months later and this is my walking location took a chance a very nice young man sold me a new phone no issues. 7 months ago I became an employee business next door, recently my phone cracked, I use my phone for transportation, groceries, most of all my daughter is 16 and if she doesn't hear from me twice a day begins to worry. I went on my lunch break the same girl was there helping another customer I showed her my cracked phone she said she'd be right with me to take a seat. Two minutes later she stated she *cannot service you" mind you the other customer had a young child so I was very nice in saying why not and she said "you know why" however there was never any police report in the prior incident because the same question was asked of her and she refused to reply to myself or the police. I am getting angry at this point because I just paid my bill and there is nowhere I can replace the prepaid phone without Uber, can't do or call anyone for a ride! I didn't want to upset the child but she immediately called head security guard of the entire 19th st complex who I respect over my few months there, he advised to wait until a different employee came in then make the purchase. So I did, 30 min later I was sitting with what appeared to be a very sweet woman literally handing over my card, suddenly the girl came in and stated *that's her* immediately they both said I needed to leave or they'd call police, I have 5 min left to clock in get off 2am and have no other way to get to my daughter, they proceeded to walk towards me I exited I stood outside the doorway saw a security guard from my workplace coming my way thankful he could supervise, next thing I knew when I turned to look towards him the woman had pushed me down I had hit my head on hard cement and had a seizure, the employees were nowhere to be found didn't even bother to assist, guard told me he saw everything and he would wait for cops I just went back to work however my manager insisted that I make a report so I followed his advice 2 Sac PD came in different cars the nice officer who took my report spoke with me then her colleuge and advised the girl working showed them tape that my attacker was a "customer not employee and the customer left so there was nothing to do" my head hurt so bad everything was blurry the officer offered me a ride home was apologetic and advised I speak directly to the manager. After 3 days of missing work prior to clocking in I went next door hoping he was there literally I did not get to even say a word he said " you need to leave" I was extremely upset and confused but also in uniform and missed 3 days did not want to be late so I went to work. 3 hours into my shift my supervisor calls me to the office, that only happens if you do something wrong and is very public. I was told the owner next door complained about me and I needed to respect the neighbors. I was annoyed but need to keep my income I did not complain orgo back , however a number of various security guards whom I don't know personally have taken upon themselves to take pictures of the employees who lied, abused, persecuted a customer yet still cannot give any reason as to why, what do I do my head has permanent bumps I can't put a comb to it, it was a concussion yet once again Verizon takes no respsibility read more

Terrible experience and I was lied to. I spent 2 hours waiting while I had phone lines transferred to a business account. After I came back for an hour break while the phone was ported over, I was told I would be called the next day with an update with all the changes. I was never called, I had to go into the store for an update after speaking to customer service for 40 minutes. The manager walked in the door at 10 am when they open and was frustrated and anxious. I had written down a list of things that I needed help with because I needed to go to work and hoped they would work on them and get back to me. He refused stating he "would not take my laundry list". I also explained that the phone upgrade was presented that the phone, case and screen cover came at one price . When checking out I found out that wasn't the case. He said he would take care of it. He then had the sales associate call me to addressed this and the young lady was condescending and denied that she has said that. I ended up paying $70.00 for a glass cover that I could of not had. Avoid this store at all costs. I should have read reviews here first because I had a very similar experience as some others have already described. I wanted to trade in my 2nd generation iPhone SE for an iPhone 13 mini and spoke to a Verizon representative online who told me my trade in value would be $300. They said this store didn't have the 13 mini in stock but would order it and I could pick it up in store. I went in on my scheduled day to pick up the phone and was told they didn't have it in stock and would have to order it. I should have just walked out at this point, but I was tired. I was told as part of the promotion I had $20 of accessories I could add on in addition to a case, cord, and screen protector. I asked since I didn't need anything could I just keep the $20 and was told I could not (I was later told that this is absolutely not true, and the promotion did not require me to purchase these overpriced accessories). So I picked out a wireless charger and my total was $284. They had me pay that amount then, even though they didn't have the phone in yet, which I have since learned is not standard practice. A few days later I got a call that the phone was in so I went to pick it up. The person helping me (who was perfectly nice) had some trouble figuring out how to transfer files over so I said not to worry about it because I needed to get home. The next day I see that my Verizon monthly bill price has gone up each month. It turns out the store was charging me the full price for the iPhone 13 mini ($710 mind you, vs $599 at a "real" Verizon store or from Apple), spread out over 3 years. For the cord, charger, etc., they were charging over $200. I had to ask for an itemized receipt 3 times before I received one. In order to make the sale, I was told: #1. They could back up my iphone onto my new Motorola. Not True. ALL OF MY TEXTS WERE LOST FOREVER. Along with other important data. This was after Verizon "transferred" my old phone to the new phone. (only other Iphone messages) #2. My new deductible would only be $20, vs. $100+ for the Iphone. Not True. It was $90. Skeevy business practices for sure. I don't know who to be upset with, whoever is actually in charge or the employees themselves. If purchasing/upgrading a phone, be sure to request an invoice of what you are actually spending your money on, they were originally going to sell me the accessories without even asking if I wanted to purchase added accessories. I always purchase my accessories through another retailer and prefer it that way. Thankfully I caught the extra charge which was around $150 (yes $150 for screen protector, charging block and a case that probably woulda been ugly as hell) I was then lied to by one of the employees, stating that if I didn't purchase a 20 watt charger block that my phone battery would suffer, and eventually degrade, but after some basic consumer research, that's not the case at all. In my research I found Many other consumers were running into this problem while purchasing/upgrading with Verizon. It is unethical to expect your employees to make a $150 added sale with each phone purchase and because it is so unethical they have to resort to things like lying to customers or sneaking the charges past them. I can't imagine how many elderly people or younger adults have been gaslit into buying things that they never even stated they wanted in the first place, nor do they actually NEED to buy specific from Verizon. The employee that was helping me out seemed quite somber after I elected to take all of the added accessories off and it made me wonder if their pay is commission based, if it is, that's kind of disgusting and you guys need to pay your employees better. It starts at the top not at the bottom, Verizon as a company needs to set their employees up for success so these issues don't fall back onto the consumer ultimately costing us extra money and leading to icky yelp reviews like this. The 1 star review is reflective of the policies that they have in place and the way that the employees adhere to it. First off let me start off and say we been Verizon customers over 17 and have never been treated (quite frankly by any establishment) like we were by the manager Reed. Long story short,we called to see if our new phones arrived and was immediately greeted by a disgruntled manager named Reed who hung up on us. We went down to the store to see what happened and were met with an aggressive Reed who cancelled both of our new phone orders after we told him not to cancel them. The staff didn't know the prices nor deals available for their flagship phone. I was told the Google pixel 2 was $300 off and got through half of the purchase process then ran out of time. When I called the next day, they got confused and weren't sure if the offer applied to that version and told me they'd call back. Three hours later I called and the guy helping had left work without calling back. AND the phone didn't have the $300 discount; they made a false offer and then failed to apologize. Instead the rep said "well I'm telling you now that's not the offer." Thanks - got it - you don't want my business nor even know the details of what you're selling. Update - my original post was 3 months ago and I'm still having unpleasant issues with Verizon. The gift card they give customers for switching over to get the discount on The iPhone 12 is very difficult to use. The site is not user friendly and when you call Verizon for assistance you have to go through the long automated system first. The other problem is as a new customer I kept getting texts saying that as a NEW customer I would be able to get free Netflix as a thank you . When I called Verizon ( after a long process) I was transferred to a person who, much to my surprise was not Verizon at all but a medical company selling health plans that work in conjunction with Verizon! Seriously!!! To make matters worse, the monthly bill I am getting is $107. / month not the $80. ( and change) monthly bill I was told I would have. I should have stayed with AT&T. Tough lesson learned !! Hope this helps others from having the awful experience I have had with Verizon. read more

When I arrived they gave me a code to do so, however, the girl working didn't know what she was doing because it was impossible to get the discount with the link provided. I went back in to ask why it didn't work and her and the other employee just gave off the vibe that they didn't know or care to help. They said they didn't know how to do it and that I should go to a corporate Verizon. I would've never come to this one had I not gotten that text. So that was a waste of time.
