Recently, I switched from PureTalk to Verizon for their mobile phone service. I'm not impressed. Their "fees and taxes" are twice as high as other providers, and their signal strength is poor. With AT&T, PureTalk and T-Mobile, I always got 5 bars of signal strength. With Verizon the most I've ever received have been 3 bars, and most of the time I get 1 or 2 bars. I live in a highly populated, high-density neighborhood (Greenhaven/Pocket), so you would think the signal would be better. Since I'm on a month-to-month Simplicity Plan, I will give it a couple of months before switching to Mint. Who knows, maybe Verizon will fix this for my area. read more

For 2 mo been trying to get my rebate and now my old pay off phone will be heading to collections. I was assured things would be fixed and nothing yet. I needed help finding a solution to my problem (changing account permissions and names) and the associate was extremely unhelpful, defensive, gave me the wrong phone number to call and then got mad I asked him if there was a different phone number. I came in person to get a return label and box to send my old I phone in as part of there trade in policy /agreement to get a new discounted i phone since verizon failed on their promise to mail out the necessary packages /label weeks ago to my home address. I was "greeted " by a bald headed man (please read other reviews who mentioned the same bald headed emplyee that accurately fit the poor customer service vibe that I experienced by this individual). I explained to him the situation and from the very start, he seemed to put out by my basis requests for help and barely wanted to help based off his body language tone in his voice, and condescending attitude. He reluctantly asked for my phone number and said he has no evidence that there is a pending exchange where Verizon was waiting for my old phone in order to grant me the 50 percent off the new phone. I said that's not true. Here are emails from Verizon corporate as proof that they are waiting on my phone and all I need is for him to provide a return label and box. He says I cannot help you and said call customer service Monday through Friday. Mind you this is on a Saturday and I said if you're open Saturday, customer service is as well. He got very confrontational with me and aggressive and said how can I help you if I don't see anything on my end. I responded that your coworker who was a very nice and helpful person (a lot nicer than this guy) helped me secure this new phone just a few weeks ago and he said I need to bring my old phone back or mail it and he said: "well then come back when that guy is working". I said that makes no sense. Verizon has thousands of employees with access and transparency to all the same customer information in real time in terms of pending return /exchange phone policies deadlines ,phone plans, etc... It was very apparent to me. This guy was lazy and was going to flat out lie just to get out of doing the bare minimum required by his employer (Verizon). I asked him again. Can you please look in the system? There must be some answers or access . He said you have to come back Monday through Friday and then looked at his watch and said "the last I checked it's oh yeah it's Saturday" in a very condescending and a belittling voice insulting my intelligence like I don't know what day it is. I said I know it's Saturday, but Verizon is a seven day a weak business. I left the store filling, belittled, insulted, defeated and shaking in anger. I called Verizon customer service to prove this guy was a liar about what he called "lack of staffing during weekend hours" and customer service support instantaneously found the status of my trade-in and expedited a PDF label over to me via email which PROVES that Verizon had access to my information on the weekend and NOT just Monday through Friday like this employee insisted is only through Monday through Friday business hours. He simply did not want to open up my account and find the correct way to help remedy this problem. This clearly was a lie and an insult to my intelligence. It shows how arrogant and naïve this individual is that he thinks people would believe this. OR, maybe he simply does not care if he gets caught and judging by his confrontational demeanor he wants someone to call him on his BS so he could elevate the interaction between him and the customer. Attention verizon corporate: If you care about maintaining a professional image, and value customer loyalty you better reevaluate your employee training procedures and spontaneously increase audits of your stores. I went to a store in Land Park, they told me to go to another "corporate" store at Delta Shores, that store said they couldn't help me and referred me to a customer service line (800-922-0204). I called that number and the AI hung up on my several times, not understanding what I was saying. Finally, I got a human being. They referred me back to the store. Around and around and around and no one helps you, just referring you to someone else. I'm trying to change to a different carrier and Verizon won't let me. read more

This one is a little overdue, but I finally made the switch a month ago joined Team Verizon!!! Verizon experience: Walked in and Phil and his team took SUCH good care of me! I was there hella early at 9am and didn't leave until close to noon cause I wanted them to help me with transferring all my stuff over to my New Samsung S21 Ultra! Phil was so amazing with showing me how my plan would work and broke my bill down perfectly! Verizon is another level with their service! If you have Verizon then you know! I traded in my old Note 10 plus and now my bill is $97 compared to when I had so called Sprint disguised as shady T-Mobile, my bill just for me was $135! Even with a paid off phone! I was done! Back story: I had been a loyal Sprint customer for so many years and my worst nightmare came true when T-Mobile took over! I had been dreading it and it finally happened last year! I was stuck cause I had to pay my then current Note 10 Plus off before I could do anything. T-Mobile claimed that NOTHING would change for US LOYAL SPRINTERS but that was nothing but a damn lie! When everything was nice and normal and Sprint had their OWN store, every year I was able to trade in my current phone and lease a new one! All I had to do was return my old phone which was ALWAYS in fantastic PRIMO condition! Like brand new, and all I had to do was pay for activation and pay for the phone monthly like most people do! Last year I went in to get the new Note 20 and they "T-MOBILE" told me that I had to front for HALF of the phone in order to get it. So basically fork over $500 and you can have it. Nothing is Sprint, it's ALL T-MOBILE now. So therefore gooooood bye! Final Thoughts: Highly recommend Verizon if you're looking for a new carrier! And this location is soooo beautiful and clean! Despite the negative reviews, I actually found the staff very knowledgeable and helpful. I initially visited this establishment to purchase a SIM card. The person that helped me offered an unlimited plan, added an additional line, and added my RN discount, which is the same price that I am currently paying. He was very affable and pleasant. Some time in January, "someone" at this store added FOUR (4) unauthorized hotspot lines to my account charging $40/month each. I realized this after logging in and seeing "someone" suspended them in april. This lead me to do a bigger audit and uncover a bunch of lines I was unaware of, and for how long this has been going on, I don't know. That's on me, mybad for not suspecting people to be so trash. Half the staff was standing around and the man who helped me ( bald head, looked maybe Hispanic ) really blew my vibe. My mom & I just came here a couple days ago to upgrade our phones and the staff were amazing at explaining all the details and very patient with us making our decision. Never did they try to force us to buy this or that or add this or that. Craig was the first person to assist us and then another staff helped us (forgot his name, started with a J?). Both of them were friendly and efficient. (The day i came in was 1/2/26) I walked in wanting to do a trade in for my phone as i wanted to get the new iPhone that just recently came out, mind you i have a 15 pro so its a little over two years old now so of course it has a little bit of wear and tear, its unusual for an iPhone to stay in pristine condition and last time I checked they aren't providing free otterboxs to be expecting "tip-top" condition lol. Anyways the lady who helped me said that they wouldn't be able to take my phone for the trade in because its not in "tip-top condition" but when i look on the verizon app and click the trade in option, the only qualifications it states are "must turn on, no crack on the screen, and no battery damage." Therefore i'm a little confused as to why i wouldn't be able to turn in this phone when there isn't any of those issues going on with my phone. Came into the store and stood at the front of the door for someone to take my name so I can get into the queue for 15 minutes. A line was forming and nobody took names so we just stood there and waited. Some employees were going on their break to starbucks and started a conversation with a person behind me. Pretty much they said you have to wait for 15 minutes plus for some service and it'll take awhile. A representative finally got to us and told us to follow him. I went through the process of giving him access to my account. He tells me he can't provide me the promotional special they are providing. It's the turn in any phone in ANY condition and get the new iPhone 16 promotion. So he pretty much tells me no, i can't get the promotion. He also seemed irritated with a fellow employee. He asked, " you need something?" When that employee was stretching and looking around. So I ended up going to another verizon location, NOT the DELTASHORES location, and I got the promotion I was looking for. I received better customer service at this other location. The Deltashores location was busy. Service took too long, yes there was a lot of people there, I understand. But what really got me was the piss poor service and piss poor attitude. She not only was persistent in trying to secure our business account long distance (without considering the numerous issues that could cause problems by not having a local rep), but also repeatedly gave me WRONG information, blamed innocent, hardworking local Verizon employees (who greatly assisted me) for her own bad advice, forgot to send information i requested, did not apologize or be accountable for her mistakes, and left me fearing more problems and issues due to her possible retaliation after I suggested to a customer service rep she lacked competence in her job. Warning for all business customers. I am reporting a concern and discriminating acts and awareness against Business Rep Alacia Franks at Delta Shore, Sacramento-CA. My wife and I are being discriminated by Alacia. She signed us up for something we didn't need, and when it came to get assistance and do refunds, Alacia ignored us. She fails to give her managers contact, avoiding me from filing a grievance against her. She was NOT honest when signing me up for devices and now my bill is all screwed up and she ignores from helping despite my texts and phone calls. She is not transparent with her communications. I am and will escalate this to highest cooperate executive level due to fact how she is discriminating. I took time off from and she knew I was coming, but she decides to help someone else. She jumped onboard to sign me up for some devices, but then when i had issues, she leaves me hanging. She has a job cause of us customers, but she is exercising bad business. Similar situation happened in 2019, when another Business Rep from Elkgrove-CA Verizon, Danny Reyes signed us for our 5 lines business plan and left our account in a huge mess. She never followed up. It took me 6 months to clean up my account with other store managers. Terrible customer service. Not surprising given all the negative reviews in the past. We were told to bring in our old phone to this store since we had already had received and activated a new phone on-line. We were told at the door that there was one customer in front of us and the wait should only be a few minutes. However, after a half hour, still no help. Other customers who arrived later, were given priority and were helped before us. Two of the agents who we were sitting across from us were chitchatting about another customer. Finally, I asked to speak to the manager who apparently was on the phone. The agent across from us said that she could help. We gave her the old phone and she entered the information into the computer taking less than a couple of minutes. I have to say that customer service at this location is 5 stars all day! We chose Black Friday to take advantage of the great deal on the pixel 3 XL! The wait time was 45 minutes to see someone. Luckily there is a Starbucks right next door! We went ahead and ordered our products online and chose the pickup at store option. This way we were ready to rock and roll when our 45 minutes was up! Once the wait was over, we were taken care of by the rep! They had all of our phones and bundles ready within ten minutes. However, unlike previous experiences they sent us home to do the setup ourselves. Which I understand as it's a lengthy time consuming process and they're on their busiest day of the year. We went home and had nothing but issues, even tried to call customer service. In the end they said we needed new SIM cards and would have to go back to the store. We went back and we went straight to the front of the line. Our problems were fixed pretty efficiently with a few minor hiccups. We asked them to put on the screen protectors for us, as they're are the pros! We were told 2 minutes to be assisted, which turned into 15 minutes. Once assisted (picture attached) I believe her name was Danielle, went above and beyond! She tried so hard to get out otterbox defenders on without bubbles in the protector. In the end, I wasn't satisfied and elected to downgrade my otterbox to the symmetry line, which worked out perfectly and saved my wife and I $100. We were happy and on our way out! The staff was phenomenal at pointing out ways to save money and promotions! Their processes costed us an extra hour and a half or so, but in the end we walked away as very excited and loyal customers! We will be back! read more

Lai was always helpful with our concerns. Visited this location twice to purchase phones and switch over from AT&T to Verizon. She's patient and really helpful with our questions. This location looks like it's really busy but expect a 10 minute wait or more, depending on the day. Really glad we switched back to Verizon. The service was just bad with AT&T for our residence area. Black Friday deal was a steal. $400 off of a Samsung and $300 off of the new iPhone. read more

I LOVE the FACT Phil goes above and beyond for his customers, he educates customers well. He advocates for customers. Justine Cooper and the staff did a great job today. I bought an iPhone 11 Pro Max last Black Friday and got a great deal. Then Microsoft announced the new Surface Duo, with a $700 trade-in program. I was having problems trying to get text messages working and contacts imported from iPhone to Android. She got everything working with a very cheery attitude in less that 1 hour. I was done and out. Around 10:30am my mother and I went to the Verizon store to get assistance setting up her Verizon account to work on her brand new iPhone 12 Pro since we both signed up recently and got new Iphones and this bold man who worked with us had hazel eyes and he was very belligerent and he raised his voice with us and he even got into my personal space , I asked for the manager multiple times from both him and his coworker and apparently he wasn't available, even though he was in the building , and he was being very aggressive and confrontational in his demeanor , in the end both he and his coworker both finally helped my mother out later on after the second or third time we re entered the building because my mom wanted her paperless statement setup and needed assistance with her iPhone , my My mom has mental disabilities and she is elderly and she wasn't able to get a word in with this bold man until I walked with her back a second time into the building . If you see a middle eastern looking bold man with gold eyes, avoid him , he is a hot head and will be very aggressive with you and will get in your personal space and will interrupt you and not care if you have a mental disability or not . I will be calling the store back again about this specific employee and definitely speaking to corporate about this store. If any people here experience violent workers , don't expect to get immediate help from this specific store since you can't even get the manager on the floor to potentially de escalate a violent confrontation. . Also I would like to add that the employees I dealt with didn't have their work ID visible on their front chest, they were hanging on the side of their pockets so I had no idea who I was dealing with, otherwise I would be sharing their names. read more

I needed a Verizon Rep to help me review the plan I signed up for or just to go over what another Rep sold me the previous day. The Rep today was not very helpful. He was annoyed I did not understand what I signed on to...with this said. This rep was more interested in selling me more products instead of assuring me of what I had already spent ($$$) the previous day. I'm in my early 70's but quite aware of technologies and how they work. ( I have the help of my adult children and grandchildren) My questions were more about my plans and recently Verizon credit card I had just sign up for but this Dude was not having it to even help me understand and walked away to look at his phone like he was done with anymore of my concerns. I've been with Verizon before it became Verizon. It once was Air Touch. Great customer service has kept me thus far but if reps at the stores cannot help the senior population then we might have to go to anther provider. Verizon: You're not the only provider in town.
