I've been going here for a couple of years and they have been great. A few times I've needed to drop off / pick up the same day and they would have it all ready for me. Alterations are made on site so I can drop off clothes that I need dry cleaned and hemmed at the same time. I have been a customer at Apollo Cleaners for many years. The staff always greets me with a smile and everything comes out looking perfect. I'm writing this review because recently I experienced exceptional customer service from this small business. I received a message from the owner, Patrick, stating that one of my dresses was damaged. He explained that it was a flaw in the quality of the fabric. I was given directions to take it back to the store I bought it from, White House Black Market, and to ask them for store credit or another dress. Of course when I called, they tried to blame it on the cleaners and told me they could do nothing for me and I was out of luck. I immediately called Patrick and told him the situation. He offered to take the dress along with my receipt back to Fashion Square Mall for me and said he would handle it. He called a few days later letting me know that he had a gift card for the full amount I paid for the dress and to come pick up. Then, as always, he thanked me for my business. I honestly cannot think of any other instance where I have received better customer service. Patrick went well above and beyond. Apollo Cleaners genuinely care about their customers. I went to get my suit dry cleaned at 6:50 on Monday night because I needed it for Wednesday.I have been coming here for 4 years, and I will never step foot in here again. GO TO ANOTHER DRY CLEANER. The lady told me they were closed because their computer "shut down." She proceeded to tell me come back tomorrow, in a very rude manner. I asked her if I can drop my clothes off and come back, maybe she can write my number down and enter it in the morning. I will not ever be going back to this place. I usually go to Del Rey which is just down the street. I strongly suggest them. I had only gone to Apollo because Del Rey doesn't offer repair service. I had two pairs of slacks that had small holes in the side where the seam had come loose. I figured it would be better to pay someone to sow them for me than do it myself. I dropped off the slacks, showed them what I needed and asked how much it would be. The lady told me that it was about $3 per pant for the repair and that the cleaning would cost about $4. I asked if I could go ahead and prepay but was told no: you pay on pick-up. When I returned a week later (because I was told it would take 5 days for my slacks to be fixed) I was shocked to see a $32 bill for 2 pair of slacks. I paid $10.50 for 2 suits and 3 pairs of slacks at Del Rey a week before. I thought this was ridiculous and the owner Patrick came out and started telling me that the best he could do was a 10% discount. After I got mad he goes, well I understand if you don't have enough money, I will just hold on to them till you can afford it. Dude I am Poor!! My father died and left me a nice car. I have an education so I don't work at Pizza Hut and I have to dress professionally. Just because I look nice and have a nice car doesn't mean you can just jack up the price and think it is okay. This place is a joke and when I finally got him to drop the price to $15 came back and got my pants, I noticed that they only did the repairs to one pair of slacks. If I could put a 0 star rating I would. It was my first time going to this cleaner and as I was walking in there was a customer complaining about damage clothing. I thought twice but for some reason still gave them a try since there are picky customers out there. Sure enough the next day when I went to pick up my clothes, my BRAND new pants were ruined. I called to ask what happened since I was out on a business trip and could not go in. The owner MIKE said that I had to go in. He was very rude on the phone and hung up on me before I could finish talking. I went into the store and again there was a customer complaining about damaged clothing. I waited my turn to speak with Mike. When talking with him he said that it was not his fault that the pants were damaged it was the due to the type of the material? FYI I have bought and dry cleaned these same pair of pants over 5 times and have never had a problem with them till I went to Apollo cleaners. Mike was very rude, did not listen at all, and was not helpful or understanding. Please do not bring any items to this cleaners. STAY AWAY. I brought my suit for dry cleaning at this place. I also had three pants for alterations. I was told that it would take like 5 days. However, it became 6 days, but I was more interested in having a good service than rushing something. I must say that the quality of the alterations and the dry cleaning were one of the best I ever had. Very nice people there. The cost was quite cheap, I think they should increase their charges for at least the dry cleaning service. They also give me a $5 discount because it was my first time going there.
