Everything bagel with scallion cream cheese and tomato
    Mag T.

Line moves very quickly!! The scallion cream cheese and tomato was phenomenal. Bagel itself was hard to chew and a bit overly toasted in my opinion. Good but better places also out there. Staff was very sweet!

On this trip to NY I decided to try this bagel shop. There was a line when I arrived on a Saturday but it moved. I ended up getting the salmon everything bagel and a cold coffee. I have to say I thought the cold coffee was really good as well. I didn't have to add any sugar since it wasn't bitter. The salmon bagel was very good. I walked it back to our hotel and it was still crispy and chewy. The salmon wasn't fishy so I'm glad I tried it. My niece enjoyed it as well. SYOY!

The texture, the combination and fresh tomatos was everything a bagel should have. Would eat three everyday and never be tired.

First stop coming off a redeye and it hit the spot exactly when I needed it. Got the lox on an everything bagel and the bagel itself was phenomenal, great chew, well toasted, everything bagel seasoning was on point. Nice amount of citrus to complement the lox too, cut through the richness perfectly. Also grabbed the fresh squeezed orange juice and you can definitely tell it's fresh, none of that watered down concentrate taste.

There was a pretty long line out the door, but I think it took less than 30 minutes to get the bagel, which wasn't as long as I thought it would take considering we went on a Sunday morning around 10:30 am. We ended up sharing the salmon bagel, which was delicious. It had a thin spread of cream cheese (we got the scallion cream cheese for +1 dollar), lox, and capers. It had a nice lemony flavor to it, and was well balanced. The bagel was chewy and a little crispy, and I liked how it was sourdough. It was kinda expensive though (around 15). I would come back again.

The bagel itself is good; a crispy sourdough that's soft inside. We ordered the smoked salmon and tomato. I surprisingly didnt like the smoked salmon very much. For such a busy spot with constant orders, i expected the salmon to taste fresher and better. I personally found the salmon bagel overly salty to me, maybe bc there's just so much fish but i was hoping for more balance amongst the flavors. I was def drinking a lot of water eating the salmon. The tomato bagel was divine though. Tasted so refreshing and simple, I wanted more! This location is actually pretty huge, but super busy. You basically have to snag seats whenever people are cleaning up. One side has tables and seats, while the other side has standing tables. There's also a bathroom. Saw quite a lot of people get the whitefish salad so def want to try that next time. Line was pretty long, took us about 45mins at 10:30AM on a fri. Idk if I'd wait in long line again, but if the line is short I'd def come back!!

Man, I really wanted to dislike Apollo, the celebrity-approved internet darling that it is. Despite having the overhyped starter pack though, I still opted for it out of the three options: Liberty, Best Bagel, and Apollo. I'm partial to Brooklyn Bagel, sometimes having their Nova Lox up to 4 times in a single trip, but I think Apollo may give them a run for their money. Granted, the bagels are stylistically different; whereas Brooklyn does a a classic, gargantuan sized sandwich, Apollo serves their bagels open-faced and dare I say more elegant. The tomato bagel, their flagship, is simply excellent. The tomato cuts through the richness of both the cheese and olive oil. Not sure if they use heirloom but it's remarkably sweet and juicy. The jam and butter is jam and butter with no bells or whistles. The sesame bagel underneath was a tad tough though; I prefer my bagels untoasted, but Apollo's default is toasted (perhaps to mask a tough crumb). Still, for the price, the presentation and flavor is pretty decent. I wouldn't wait in any sort of line for this though.

Apollo Bagel absolutely lived up to the hype. The simplicity of this tomato bagel with cream cheese and olive oil on an everything bagel was unreal. I've tried two different salmon bagels, but this one was just too good. The thin slices of salmon is so much better than thicker pieces. The everything bagel is nice and crispy on the outside and soft in the inside. What more can you ask for?! I'm still salivating from these bagels. I saw a sign that the OJ juice is the best so I gave it a try and it was actually so good!

Wow! With so many bagel places and only one morning in town, I wanted a good NY bagel. Apollo did not disappoint! The bagel itself was amazing. The full package was put together perfectly. Just the right snout of cream cheese and toppings. Served opened face is always the way to go too. Can't want to come back next time I'm in town.

I'd heard great things about Apollo so decided to add this to the morning walk and talk. The line was pretty long but moved at a decent pace; I'd say have someone to talk to or something to listen to pass the time. That said, customer service was great. Actual time between ordering and receiving your food was pretty quick. They have a limited menu but they do it well. I got the smoked salmon on everything with no red onion and it was so tasty. Just the right level of toast on the bagel and the cream cheese was solid. Would definitely get it again on a smaller queue day. It's very crowded inside with limited seating. People will "save" spots while their group is in line ordering, which I don't like especially for those of us who have an order and need a table then. Be willing to be friendly and share tables with other groups though, and it'll be fine!

This place is something that was recommended and it was okay. It was just like Courage bagels in CA. Nothing special. We ordered and noticed people who ordered after us were getting their food and leaving. My friend went to ask and the guy taking our order didn't realize that the machine was not connected to the internet for 8 minutes. So we were waiting and our order didn't even go through. If we didn't say anything we would've been there for a long time. Friends got the salmon lox and there wasn't enough cream cheese or lox. We got more at Russ & Daughters. They weren't impressed. My bagel with butter andand jam was okay. Want anything special either. Wouldn't recommend to friends visiting.

Probably now my favorite bagel in NYC! Obsessed with the crunchy outside and soft inside - I'm usually an everything bagel person but the sesame was ELITE here, so sesame forward and aromatic. Sourdough tang was excellent. The whitefish salad changed my life and I might like it even more than the lox, which is usually my favorite. Cream cheese & jam on plain bagel was good but I think I like the open-faced sandwich style better for bagels. Will definitely be back, new go-to for bagels and bagel sandwiches for sure. I had placed a to-go pickup order at like 2AM for later at noon and I think the system just messed up or they didn't see it, but the staff were all super nice about it and got my order expedited. Also pro-tip if you want drinks but put in an online order - you don't have to wait in the main line and they can just ring you up for the drinks if you walk up to the pickup area.

I truly do get the rave of the tomato bagel from Apollo. I don't know what they do to their tomatoes but it is perfectly juice yet not watery on the bagel. Got the everything bagel and love how seasoned it is. The bagel is warm and crispy, tomato is cold and refreshing, cream cheese is creamy, salt/pepper/olive oil brings it together. I think it is a must try. Nice seating inside to relax and eat!

Absolute must!Tomato with 8 oz Scallion Cream Cheese on everything bagel.

Anyways, the girls had bookmarked another bagel establishment but the line was hella long like they were giving away Knicks gear for free. Ironically another "bagel shop" search on Yelp showed PopUp Bagels was like three doors down lol. No line! That in itself was making me question but there is a PopUp in San Diego that my daughter swears by. PopUp advertised itself as "Not Famous, but known." Whether or not this bagel is better than the one store three doors up is something I cannot attest to. However I can say THIS WAS A DANG GOOD BAGEL! And it was freshly made! How do I know? It literally burned my fingers when I ripped it open! The pain was worth it. Outside, a slightly crisp texture generously coated with "Everything". Inside was a dense and chewy dough that was pliable but able to withstand the dipping and shmearing of cream cheese (which was smooth). Best I have ever had for sure but then again my most common bagel experience is the place named after a scientist where tons of bagels are sitting in bins for who knows how long. So why wasn't this a 5-star experience? One, I only ate one thing. Two, sevice and setting are "just there". Considering it wasn't busy I would expect a bit more of a welcome. To eat you're bagel you can full on just leave, sit at the three stools inside where it is super hot (bc hey they actually cook), or three stand outside. There is a little, I'll say "patio", where you can stand, eat, and true story, watch two people argue about who gets to sort through the recyclables from the neighborhood eateries. Snack and a show???? I just stood near the door and enjoyed my bagel.
