In the center of a big food court, this was a great way for us all to get what we wanted. The slices are huge (I'd compare one slice-=two delivery place slices) some nice unique combos. I eat a lot and one slice was perfect for me.

    Cheese pizza slice

Grabbed a slice of cheese pizza as I had a hankering and was in the area. I planned to take it to go but the cashier didn't ask. As a result she gave it to me uncovered on a plate. My sister made it a point to go back and ask for a box afterwards. It tasted like a regular old pizza, not bad but not great. For over $6 a price in this area, I should have known better. Next time I'm around, I would be more interested in trying a different pizzeria.

New Haven style Pepperoni Pizza & Roman style Brisket/Potato/Bacon Pizza

I have been so excited for the arrival of Apizza's New Haven style pizza after being a huge fan of Sally's Apizza in New Haven, CT. The longest line in the Hub Hall for food was hands down Apizza. Staff were great -- efficient and kept everything moving. The pizza was par-cooked, and was heated through in an oven which took away from it being the perfect New Haven style pizza. You could tell the sauce and toppings were good, but not quite the 5 stars we were hoping for. We preferred the New Have Pepperoni pizza over the Roman style Brisket/Potato/Bacon pizza. I will be back to give it another try and for the opening for Morimoto's Momoson Ramen. Other food items we loved at the Hall: Smoke Shop's chicken wings and burnt ends; Lily P's Lower Broadway chicken sandwich; Sauce's Boursin buffalo cheeseburger; Naco Taco's corn and Reel House's oysters

A little unassuming but great pie. Super convenient to Causeway and with a ton of shared seating for with the other restaurants. Pizza came out super fast (plain cheese, wasn't in the mood for something specialty though it looks like there are plenty of options). Highly recommended refuel if you're on foot downtown, especially with littles.

Was great pizza, although pricey for a food court. Round pizza was the best thing crust pizza around. Sadly looks closed and abandoned.

Really good! My favorite was the the thin crust. If you like fluffy, go with the thick crust.

I feel like it's pretty casual during the day, but can still be a good date night spot in the evening. The servers have always been so nice when I go! They make wood fired pizzas and their Pepperoni is my favorite. The crust is nice and charred/crispy too, which I like. They also make their own ice cream and have pints for sale! Be sure to check that out.

Salty Pig Pizza: A pizza with the same name as the restaurant! Who was the genius who came up with the idea of salted pig and beer caramel? It's brilliant! The salted pork appears to include Prosciutto di Parma from Langirano, Prosciutto Cotto, and Salcissia. Baking rendered the prosciutto's fat, which blends with the caramel to create a beautiful golden syrup that flows across the pizza's surface. The prosciutto was savory, oily, and tender; the minced salcissia retains its coarse texture and rich meaty aroma; the caramel was sweet and mellow with a honey-like sweetness, forming the top, middle, and base notes respectively. The arugula was slightly warmed, losing its astringent and raw taste while maintaining its crisp texture, helped to cut through the richness together with the Parmesan cheese powder. The crust was crispy, while the inside the dough was soft and chewy. The cooking time and seasoning were all just right, and the restaurant's proud wooden oven added a charming smoky flavor. Affogato: I had high expectations, but it was just okay. The espresso was too sour, and the vanilla ice cream couldn't balance it out. The almond biscuits had an overpowering almond flavor, and the flavor of plant-based protein was terrible! (Oh, this should have been a plus...)

The linguine was on the smaller side portion-wise, but it came loaded with mussels and shrimp. The pasta was cooked perfectly, and the sauce had a nice tangy, flavorful profile that really stood out. The Salsiccia pizza was good--plenty of toppings for its size and a well-balanced amount of cheese and sauce. What kept it from being great, if I'm being a bit hyper critical, was the crust. It leaned too doughy and lacked the crispness and airy texture you'd expect; the closest comparison I can think of is something like an Olive Garden breadstick. Service was okay--nothing particularly impressionable--but the ambience made up for it. The space felt warm, trendy, and like the perfect spot for a casual dinner. Overall, a solid spot with well-executed dishes, especially the pasta, and a pizza that's definitely enjoyable with just a small detail holding it back from the next level.

We had the meat lover's pie and oh my. Wgat a delicious fusion animals, cheese, tomatoes and crust. The taste took me back to a pizza I had many years ago at a place in Cambridge--in a great way! They only sell whole pies, which at first seemed annoying (the first time I tried coming here a few years ago I was by myself and couldn't eat a whole pizza alone) so I had to make this my inaugural tasting). But I see that as ensuring you are only eating a fresh product, where all the ingredients cook into each other and come out hot and ready, instead or something reheated from four hours ago because the day was slow. The menu is simple: pizzas and meat skewers. They know what they do well and lean into it hard. The ambiance has a rustic feel, with tall, weathered wooden booths that make eating a close experience, so please bring people you really like! The servers are present but not hovering and checked on us with the kind of frequency that says, "yeah we should let you eat but not forget you are there." I will be back for sure.

The steak tips and lamb tips were cooked very well, juicy and tender though lacking salt and seasoning. Sausage was good, a bit spicy. I didn't understand the addition of the bread, it was dry and there was no butter or olive oil to go with it. Portions were ok for the price. Pizza was ok, not my kind of pizza, the crust is very thin and cracker like, it doesn't hold up under additional toppings. Flavor of sauce and toppings was good, toppings were also generous. Service was fine, it took the wait staff a little bit to notice we were waiting to be seated. Overall it's worth a try, there's a reason they've been in business over 100 years.
