I was rear ended in December of 2022. Once everything was verified by the responsible insurance, American Casualty Insurance, they sent me a check to find a shop and begin repairs. I chose Apex Automotive Group for my collision repairs based on proximity to my job and their great online reviews. Apex's website states that they guarantee satisfaction. They claim that they have experienced technicians that perform the necessary repairs to restore the car to its original state. Also, that after repairs are completed, "their team of experienced quality control experts conduct a thorough inspection of your vehicle to endure the work has been done to perfection." They even promise to handwash and detail your car! Once I dropped off my car, I paid Apex, via credit card, the $3,939.54 that American Casualty Insurance provided to me. What Apex failed to tell me is that they charge a 3.9% convenience fee to use a credit card. This is illegal without making your clients aware of such a surcharge. When I brought this to their attention the following morning they made go to the bank, wait an hour in line for a certified check, and then wait another hour for APEX to figure out how to process a credit card refund. I could not understand just refunding the 3.9% back to my card and eating that $153.66 for the inconvenience. This experience was just the start of more bad news. Repairs for my car began in June 2023. Upon completion, I went to pick up my car. My vehicle was far from being restored to its pre-accident state. Dissatisfaction does not begin to explain my feeling. According to the estimate provided by American Casualty Insurance, certain parts that were repaired should have been replaced with new ones. This is called insurance fraud! Even the repaired parts were not close to satisfactory. My rear quarter panel and tow hook covers were still cracked. The trunk was misaligned left to right and top to bottom. Not sure how their "experienced quality control experts" missed all this. Were they trying to cut corners to save money? It's a shame how it was left. Additionally, when I arrived for pick up, I had to wait an hour for the detailer to finish what they call detailing. When he was finished there was still shop debris throughout the interior leather, door panels, front dash, rear speaker deck etc. The rear seats were soaked. There were cleaning bottles left in the car and someone else's personal items. I spent 90 minutes detailing the car myself when I got home. I spoke with the manager about my concerns and the poor quality of their work. He stated that he was waiting on another part and a supplement from American Casualty to before I could bring my car back a second time to correct their poor work. In October I dropped my car off a second time at Apex Automotive to correct the rear trunk alignment. I was called to pick the car up a week later. It was if they barely touched my car. My eight-year-old even said "I thought they were going to fix your car dad?" I think all would agree there was no reason to return. They clearly do not have the resources or knowledge on how to restore my car to its pre collision state. I've since requested a post repair inspection from American Casualty. They required an estimated for another shop prior to sending an adjuster to consider repairing what Apex did not. The preliminary estimate from the second local shop is $4,338.30 without even stripping off the bumper and quarter panel to see the true damage. If you are considering Apex for future auto body work, please shop around. It was the worst repair experience I've ever had. My experience was far from stellar, and the workmanship was FAR from acceptable and crappy at best. Everything that they promise on their website is a lie. They smile in your face and tell you that we'll get you taken care of. However, they are just master manipulators and professional conversationalists that say whatever needs to be said until you go away. My fear at this point is that American Casualty will deem my car a total loss rather than pay to repair what Apex Automotive failed to fix. This will likely force me to have to buy another car and potentially take on a car note whereas my current car has been paid off several years ago. No one should be treated this way. They were paid for work they did not complete and have yet to contact me knowing I'm unsatisfied with their work. Whenever I mention it's not done, they say they need to order a new part. Why would you call and say the car is done and then say you need to order a new part. The whole thing does not make sense. Please find another shop. I will be reporting them to the BBB and hopefully no one else will go through this with Apex in the future.

First, he is so pleasant and easy going, and explains things, which I appreciate since it is not my area of expertise. Second, he navigates insurance really well. He is not on our provider list, but we totally trust him, so we use him anyway. We just tell our insurance that he is our choice, and he communicates with insurance about everything after that to get the work covered. Finally, the best part is that he does beautiful work. Our cars literally look brand new when we get them back. Great service and product value. Highly recommend.

I was able to chat with several people, including one of the few seasoned fiberglass experts in the area, and was given a general ballpark. Once serious and decided, I returned to hand over the car and get a more tuned quote and timeline. During the next 12 weeks, the car's awful fiberglass body was given much needed TLC. Mike was in constant contact over phone and text message, providing status updates, pictures, and timeline updates. I'm very very pleased with the results and the price. It was not cheap (between $5k and $10k), but other shops were quoting $15k+. The difference might be that the other shops were only wanting to do a perfect, concourse-level job, and I was able to inform Sentry that this was unnecessary for my use case. I highly recommend Sentry to anyone with a car they truly care about, be it classic or modern. You won't pay an exorbitant price and will get very good results. I'm sure you can get better results if you ask and are willing to pay for the extra time.

I used the Yelp feature to send pictures and received a reply shortly after suggesting an in-person estimate. Imagine my (pleasant) surprise when Mr. Anthony called me back within a few minutes! (Green flag #1) I was told to come by Sunday between 8am and noon (green flag #2). I pulled up at about 11am and Mr. Anthony came out to take a look. The business page says "No job is too big or too small" and they stand on that. One thing I really appreciated is that he included me in the process. He simply asked whether I was looking to have the whole fender replaced (I wasn't), went inside and got his tools. It was that easy. No overselling. No overcharging. No frills. Just an honest gentleman who saw a small job, as it turned out) and made the time to do it. Yall. Their app is easy to use and they allow you to select one of their preferred shops or one to your liking. I chose this location as one of their preferred shops as they were close to home and had an available appointment in the morning. When I arrived the front desk receptionist informed of their process and I handed over my keys. They had enterprise onsite so I had no issues with pickup and drop off. The service advisor told me about the process, did a walk through with me around the car and answered and addressed my follow up questions. I did experience two issues when trying to pick up my vehicle. One time I was told the vehicle was done. When I called back to let them know I was on the way, they advised it would be ready the next day. The next day (Friday) I called to confirm the car was ready I was told it was. When I arrived I was told the part had just come in and they were putting it together then. So as you can imagine - I'm annoyed lol As for the service itself, the guys were really nice! But I was told initially that they would put it together, send to Mercedes to make sure the calibration was correct and would detail the car out. The advisor did tell me I can bring it back so I will update once I see them on Friday. However, I left unsatisfied. 2/9/24 update: They delivered as promised! They took their time and fixed everything so as I promised - I am giving them a 5 star review. Service adviser was great!
