Recently tried this cute little coffee shop which my husband and I really enjoyed. Our only complaint was that they ran out of food items very early so our only option was the avocado toast. We liked the coffee and sat at the bar so we appreciated the care that the barista took in preparing our drinks. The avocado toast was also very good so we were disappointed that we didn't get to try more of their food items. The place is still fairly new so maybe that will improve over time. It's not in my neighbourhood but I would go back here again if I was in the area. read more

Love Ape Coffee! From the coffee, to the pastries to their delicious sandwiches. Always satisfying! Service it's always great also.

My first time here was in the area and wanted to stop by, place was nice and decent very packed but super fast. The staff were very nice and friendly that's what I like to feel welcomed. I ordered a monkey business latte it was good you can literally taste banana nothing fake. I liked the decor the restroom was super clean which is a must in every place to dine in. I do recommend this place. Unfortunately I'm not that near but I will definitely stop by once in the area again! read more

What a weird experience. Not sure why they decided to go with the night club or strip club ambience at 1pm on a Sunday. The owner seems to truly want to be a hype beast and push clothing and weird drinks riffing on the Ape theme. My only guess is that he made a bunch of money off Bitcoin and took too big of a hit off a blunt while coming up with this business idea. Came in for a pour over but apparently serving coffee is secondary to serving vibes and was met with options of banana flavored Matcha instead. Not sure why they advertise as a coffee company at all. read more

Service is always quick and very nice , they also give the option of less sweet, 50% or normal , which makes it better for those who prefer their coffee on the stronger side (me) read more

There is always a line here and quite a wait. Overall the drinks are super unique and the service has typically been very friendly. Because it gets so busy and crowded this isn't necessarily a place to hang out at and work. Nor is it a place to grab a quick drink and run cuz you will wait in line to order then wait some more for your drink. Despite that, if I'm in the area and I need a caffeine boost, I will definitely make the effort to stop by because it is that good! read more

I got to check them out during their grand opening weekend, and I'll definitely be back! I was able to snag parking right up front, yay!  Staff was fast and super friendly.  The place was clean and inviting. I'm a huge fan of anything pumpkin, so when I see it on the menu, I know what I'm getting!  The pumpkin spice latte was creamy, sweet, and delicious.  They had a ton of pastry options, and everything looked so good, but I opted for the everything croissant.  They offered to warm it up for me so I could enjoy it at their bar top.  I can't wait to go back when they have their full menu and try more goodies. read more

Trying coffee shops is MY thing. This place seemed to just open up recently and i wanted to try it. Honestly it's small and not loud inside, which was nice. Personally, i would. it return because their prices are ridiculous given the sizes of their cups...The "large" is just a wider version of their Small which is so skinny. They have a kiosk where you can place your order or order at the register which is cool I guess. I just wouldn't rush to be back. The flavor of my latte was okay, nothing fantastic but i wish they had more syrup flavors! The matcha was actually the worst!.. It makes me sad because i was so excited to try it! read more

Wasnt expecting much from this place but surprisingly its good! The lady at the cashier recommended us drinks since its our first time and even gave us 15% off! So kind! I didnt really know what to try but I believe i ordered their coconut coffee and god its good, the coconut flakes was kind of a lot maybe toasted coconut would be better? They tasted like lemon too for some reason, not sure if that was on purpose. This place is quite a ways from me. They have plenty of seating in front as well as inside! They even sell merchandise. I like their designs inside! Plus the order kiosk is cool! read more

My friend and I intended to visit this place for the purpose to try their special coffee with pretty cool names. Entering the coffee shop, it had this modern and minimal aesthetic enveloping urbanization and music. There were plenty enough seats on both the bar and couch areas. Surprisingly, with it being grand opening there it was almost packed with people working with their laptops on a weekday. In the picture, I ordered the Peppermint Kong (left) and my friend ordered the Snow Monkey (right). The drinks are on the subtle end when it comes to tasting the coffee so it could be that these drinks were using blonde espresso and/or a medium/medium-dark blend. Overall, would love to come back and try out their cold brew special and regular menu of cappuccinos, flat white, lattes and more. Also, did I mention they also had pastries and sandwiches available to order. read more

The atmosphere is comfortable relaxing and extremely clean. My favorite part of the cafe is the coffee bar stools with the huge granite top. Such a unique experience being able to hangout at a bar style table top and enjoy coffee. I tried the nitro cold brew and the monkey business while my gf tried the Cloud Ape. The (2) signature drinks we tried we're very creative and very sweet. The nitro was smooth but a little light in taste for me. I can't wait to go back and try some of the more menu items. They do have merchandise and the food available looks fun and interesting as well. Overall great new spot to grab coffee. read more

I'm not really a yelp-er. But it was a priority to write a review for ape coffee. I have spent hundreds of dollars on matcha hunting (if you love matcha don't act like you haven't) and their ape matcha with banana cream is literally INSANE. Not only is it ceremonial matcha, but the topping literally tastes like melted banana cream pie.... Drool. It's also under 10 bucks with oat milk! If I didn't live two hours away they would get all of my money. In fact I might be saving money now because there isn't a matcha that tops this one.... As if it couldn't get better... the staff and the service was so genuine and JOYFUL! it's so hard to go into a coffee shop these days and see people who love their job, what they do, and who they work with. They genuinely asked how my day was and shared, and the drink was out way too quick! Bravo ape coffee- I'm moving to Hawaii so I most likely won't see you again. But mahalo for showing me the best matcha in CA before I left. read more

Really good different and unique. The barista Kenny was super helpful and kind and gave me a lot of suggestions. There's so many things to try that I definitely have to come back. I got the iced coconut which was awesome but only wanted me to have more and come back another time to try something else. The vibe is cool and chill and the exact type of coffee spot I look for. read more

Pretty good actually!! I didn't know what to expect given I'm not a huge fan of banana flavored stuff lol. This is what we tried: * snow monkey 5/5 - actually really tasty. I'd get this again. Banana cold foam is subtle so not overpowering. It complements the drink really well * regular iced matcha 3/5 - my friend didn't want coffee and ordered this before sadly seeing there were other matcha drinks. It was decently ok. It's like if you go to a steak house and order a vegetarian meal. It's ok but you can't judge too hard given it's not what they're known for. * gorilla toast 3.7/5 - tasty. They didn't have spring greens which they didn't tell me until i received the dish. They didn't even tell me lol they wrote it on the box saying they were out. So I don't know what it's supposed to taste like all together. But I got I still got the chipotle spread with tomatoes on it though. It was ok just you get a little sick of it after a while and the spread is super messy. I'd get it again if they were out of baked goods. I wanted to try their baked goods but a lot of what I wanted to try they were sold out. We got there around 1pm. There were some people but not busy. Right around 1:30-2pm though it was crazy busy with the line out the door and no tables left. We left around 3:30 and it stayed this busy until we left. Some people brought their computers and worked too. So if you're looking for a place to chill and do work too this would be a decent place! At 1pm the parking I'd say was like 75% full. It's in a lot not on the street so that's pretty helpful. I say try it out!! I'll be going back again for sure. I need to try the different matchas and coffee!!! read more

Our barista Katie was so kind and patient as we weren't sure what to order. I finally decided on the Tiramasu and my husband got a vanilla latte. Both were great tasting. I definitely would order this drink again. We also had an almond croissant. It was very good. The atmosphere is calming with just a few tables and chairs. Will definitely come back. read more

I'm a huge coffee drinker and I really really want to give ape 5 stars. Everything about this place give the signs that it should be a 5 star spot-- the ambiance is dope, the vibe is cool, the drink descriptions look great. It's just that their drinks are always slightly off. The tiramisu latte is delicious, their cream tops are super thick and creamy, but the drink always is too sweet to enjoy. Then their hot coffee drinks, the coffee is always slightly too bitter and the flavoring is almooost there but not quite right. For example, recently Tried the brown butter toffee from their winter menu-- it tasted like a first draft of a good concept, but with a little refining or tweaking on the recipe, could be perfect. This place is so close and walking distance so I want to love it and want it to be my go to coffee spot, but if I'm going to pay $9+ for a latte, it better hit, and this place just ain't it. read more

Came here on a Saturday a lunch time. It was definitely full with customers but no line. Design of the place is pretty cool and keeps the gray tones. Staff was extremely friendly!!! Probably best customer service I've had in a while. One of the cool things on the kiosk for self ordering, is that it has a number of orders for each of the drinks. Helps you figure out what people liked and ordered so you can make a choice! Espresso tonic was refreshing and there's options to add lavender or orange syrup, though I tried it as is. read more

So glad a new coffee shop opened up on this side of orange! I stopped by during the grand opening and the baristas were all very welcoming and nice. I've been coming here for over a year now and it's usually my go-to spot for the yummy coffee and a great atmosphere. Unfortunately, today (New Year's Eve) was one of the worst visits I've had. It wasn't busy, but the place was dirty and the staff seemed more focused on chatting among themselves than on customers. The music was loud and the whole place felt more like a house hangout than a café. It also felt like management wasn't around when I came in, which may have contributed. This was really disappointing, and I sincerely hope this isn't a sign of what future visits will be like. Over all coffee was delicious as always but customer service wasn't the best... read more

LOVED my experience here! The baristas were extremely friendly and helped us decide what we should order as it was our first time here. Beautiful inside, and they already decorated for Christmas, so fun! I highly recommend the Snow Monkey! read more

So the food and vibes seemed great until the customer service, they are rude and lack kindness.

If you are questioning a visit - don't skip this. We were in from out of town and had a visit - service was incredible! She walked us through the menu and told us what their best sellers were. We loved the tuna Sando, avo toast, and coffee of course. Had the monkey business and snow monkey to drink - we will be dreaming of these desert like drinks. Plus, got an incredible comfortable hoodie. We will be back next time we are in town. Worth it! By the way, you'll need to park in the parking lot - be patient the goodies are so worth it! read more

I love spending my mornings looking for and trying new coffee spots in town. Toast was amazing, great balance for flavor and a little kick of spice Ordered the Cloud Ape & Bonobo Sandwich for my husband too. Its nice to know that if you're having your coffee here, you can have it in a mug, feels more cozy, instead of a to go cup ( just my opinion). A lot of seating to get work done if you're a student or if you work remotely. Service was great and she was really welcoming. Also, I got a discount on being a first time customer,WIN WIN.
