Apa Sushi is seriously so good. Probably my top 5 places to get sushi. The fish is super fresh and they give you so much of it in the roll. Honestly everything I've tried has been exceptionally good. If you get the spicy tuna just beware it's actually spicy but still delish. I love the vibe and the staff is so kind. Definitely coming back.

We absolutely LOVE Ama sushi and seeing this place open up near us got us so excited! Happy to say that the food quality was super on par with its sister restaurant and we'll likely make this our new go-to. Some of the best fish in the cities if you love sashimi. Everything else was on point as well. This place is definitely bigger than Ama so if you're worried about finding a table, this place might be better. Clean and modern aesthetic. Service was also solid! Will be back plenty of times in the future.

We were so excited to come back a second time, and unfortunately we won't be returning. The nigiri were all significantly smaller. the uni tasted off. The squid was not prepared properly. They forgot to give wasabi. The spicy tuna hand roll was just ok. I'd get this again. The sweetheart roll presentation was super cute. The roll itself was good. The kids chicken teriyaki came out last and like it was forgotten. The chicken was like they accidentally dumped too much black pepper in it. The kids wouldn't eat it. The tempura was good but the veggies were way too large. Seared White tuna was good, but the seaweed salad did not taste right. Soba noodles. This was not soba. I basically got chicken noodle soup. I don't know if we will return. It is costly to eat out, and I expect a little better going out.

A great spot in northern Maple Grove for your sushi fix. Parking can be a little tricky in this busy shopping area, but be patient and keep your head on a swivel. Great vibes and decor inside the restaurant. Service and staff were friendly and very welcoming. Order: Lunch menu specials: Complimentary miso soup was a great unexpected surprise. Good flavor. Was just as you hoped for. Sushi/sashimi combo. All the fish were fresh and buttery soft. No fishy smell just the perfect texture and cuts. Chicken katsu combo. Shumai shrimp was delicious... great flavor and texture. California roll was just as expected..fresh and flavorful. Chicken had crispy exterior and juicy interior. Golden salmon appetizer was the star of the show. Seaweed salad on top added a nice salty element with good texture. Little fish roe added that salty burst and flavor. Seared salmon packed a punch of flavor. Crab filling was perfectly seasoned. Delicious bite. Overall: Great experience. Great service. Great food. The prices on the entire menu were extremely reasonable for this high quality product. Compared to other japanese restaurants in the suburbs it is hands down at the top of the list.

I have to admit something. I actually went here 2 times in less than 24hrs....thats how good it was. First off there is complementary miso soup brought out right away. After braving the sub zero temps that is a nice warm me up. Apa is incredibly affordable and the quality is wonderful as well. I got the scallop hand roll, spider, shrimp tempura, spicy tuna and eel avocado. The second time I had their hibachi combo lunch which was less than $15. The oddest thing happened on my return visit. They came to me and gave me a holiday gift, a bottle of wine. I was a bit confused but that was so thoughtful. I'll probably be back here more often than I'd care to admit. The ambience is very nice. I appreciate they had Poopurri and Febreeze in the restroom.

Came on a Saturday evening and it was busy with an estimated 20 minute wait. No bar for drinks while waiting, only the dining area and sushi bar. However they said we can order drinks and they will bring it to our waiting area. Service is friendly and restaurant has a nice amount of seating. Menu is extensive of sushi options, rolls, appetizers, rice dishes, noodles, and of course Tibetan Momos. They bring everyone a free bowl of miso soup. We primarily went for sushi: Nigiri and Sashimi. Overall fish was fresh but they were cut a bit large and lacked finesse. If you appreciate true Japanese food, you'll understand that there's artistry to cutting the fish. Apa Sushi definitely lacks the finesse. The rice to fish ratio is also disproportionate. Too much rice and a bit under cooked. Prices are very reasonable. Not sure if I'd come again. For maple Grove sushi, we prefer the Ten Sushi off of County Road 30.

I went with girlfriends at 5 pm on a Tuesday. We were able to find parking right in front of the restaurant and were sat right away. Food 5/5: the food was fast, fresh, well balanced and delicious. We started with edamame, cheese wontons, and each got different sushi rolls. The chefs special sauce is chefs kiss! Service 5/5: our waitress was friendly and kind. This was a dinner where me and my girlfriends sat and talked much longer than typical places like. They were crazy busy, and she was so kind and kept refilling our waters. Ambiance 5/5: they were decorated for Christmas and had a giant tree in the entryway. Overall this location has much more space than their central location. If you're looking for a new sushi spot and are in the area, absolutely give this place a try!

Apa Sushi - My Go-To Spot for Fast & High-Quality Sushi (7/5) Apa Sushi is the sister/brother restaurant to Ama and Momo Sushi, which have been some of my favorite spots for fast-casual but actually good sushi in Minnesota for almost a decade now. Growing up in the suburbs, I used to drive into the city every time I wanted a solid sushi lunch special. Now that Apa opened, I don't need to look anywhere else. I've already gone twice within their first week. The lunch specials are honestly unbelievable. The service is warm, genuine, and consistent. And the quality? A1+++ every single time. Out of all their locations, this one might be my favorite so far -- super clean, really well put together, and it just has a calm, inviting energy that makes you want to stay. I'm genuinely excited for everyone who lives nearby. I can't recommend this place enough. I know I'll be back at least once or twice a month, and I'll keep posting photos whenever I can. Favorite mini Date spot. shoutout to my favorite server, Lucy!!! My recommendations: * Best deal: Sushi Bucket ** * Any of the lunch specials * * Lunch Special: Carashi bowl (or however you spell it) * * Scallop hand roll ** * Golden salmon * hamachi yellowtail * Momo Roll

Came in spontaneously on a Friday night and we were seated within 20 minutes. So many good options on the menu, we ended up ordering the cheese wontons, dynamite roll, and phoenix roll, and we finished with some strawberry mochi. Everything was fantastic! Added bonus: they bring out miso soup right away which was a nice touch. The restaurant is a little loud inside, but overall the space is great.

Some of the best sushi I've had hands down in MN! I've been here a few times and the prices are great, fish is fresh and can't beat their lunch prices a 2 rolls for $10 or 3 for $12 with complimentary miso soup. Restaurant is clean and bright and service is quick and friendly! Would recommend if you are in the area as Maple Grove's sushi scene is lacking!

My friend and I visited this place after seeing it on TikTok, and it was absolutely adorable! We ordered the cream cheese wontons, and I have to say--they were the best I've ever had. I even had to get an extra order to go! We also shared the hibachi, which was really good, though I wish it came with a bit more rice. The sushi was fresh and delicious as well. The servers were also really sweet as well

    Cute sake pitcher and cups!

I don't even know where to begin! I am thrilled that APA Sushi opened in Maple Grove! THRILLED! We came here for my birthday celebration the night after Christmas, and we ordered way too much food, and I am so glad we did because everything was delicious! They started us all out with Miso Soup (complementary), and then we got Gyoza and some delicious sake. The kids got chicken and pork Katsu boxes, my husband got Beef Fried Rice, and I got a spicy salmon maki roll and the Angry Dragon Specialty Roll (this was AMAZING). My kids told them it was my birthday, and they brought out mochi for dessert! We also ordered two yummy Japanese beers. Such cool cans and so tasty. The service was quick and friendly, and it was PACKED! So many people and such great energy in this place! Cannot wait to go back!

Hubby and I went on a busy Friday night. Keep in mind this place is first come, first served. Fortunately, it only took us about 15 minutes to get seated. The service was great from start to finish. Even though it was very busy, we didn't feel cramped once we were seated in our booth. The food is fantastic! Some of our favorite sushi around Minnesota.

It was about 80% cucumber with barely any crab, which wasn't what we expected. Unfortunately, the service really overshadowed the experience. We weren't greeted when we walked in, and things felt off from the start. We had a stroller with us, and instead of helping us find a comfortable spot, we were initially directed to a booth that clearly wouldn't work. When I asked about it, the waitress moved a couple of tables and pointed us to an end table with an uncomfortable chair. I politely asked to sit somewhere else, which felt awkward to even have to do. There were also a few moments that felt careless, like when she reached over my baby and stroller to grab a drink instead of going around. That's just not something you should risk. When I finished my salad, she told me to keep my fork rather than bringing a new one for sushi, which came off as odd. I also know how to use chopsticks so it seemed weird to assume that I didn't and would reuse my fork. The waitress didn't seem friendly or welcoming, and we didn't feel acknowledged at any point..even when we left, despite being the only customers there. It's a shame because the food, music, and overall vibe had potential, but the service really took away from the experience.

The pink panther roll was exceptional and had an aioli sauce on top that complemented the roll well. The chicken fried rice was salty but the chicken was cooked to perfection. The dish itself presented really well but just really wasn't my favorite. The saltiness was just too overpowering. The service was good but not great.
